Mark Levin has been going off the last two nights about Bolton’s forthcoming book. I think this is going to be like that so-called expose that Michael Wolfe published a couple years ago – i.e., a load of absolutely horsesh*t with a few truths thrown in. Just from the excerpts published so far, other members of the administration are saying Bolton is out and out lying.
For instance, Bolton implies that Trump solicited him to be the NSA. Not true. Bolton badly wanted the job and solicited conservative voices that were friendly to Trump to push for Trump to appoint him. All are saying they’re sorry they did.
Bolton says that he was not onboard with the decision to remove troops from Syria. Mark relates an anecdote that he had problems with the decision and actually called the President to voice his concerns. On speakerphone, Trump said “John’s here, let’s hear what he thinks.” Bolton said “Is Mark ready to put on the uniform and go fight over there, then?” So he’s lying about that as well.
Not to mention his not obtaining clearance for publishing national security information, which he is required by law to do (which is the basis of the DoJ suit). If publication is delayed, there will be plenty of time for others mentioned in the book to refute the BS that’s been released, and Bolton may be finding a lot of those “advance” orders on Amazon canceled. I seem to recall that happened recently with another “tell-all” book – I think it was Acosta’s. An advance copy got ripped to shreds and Amazon reported hundreds of pre-publication cancellations.
He got a $2 million advance, and he better hope and pray that he’ll make some money off this – because his usefulness to the libs is now over and there’s no one that’s going to trust him again. Except maybe the dumbass Bushes.
