So apparently the liar known as Mary Trump was on Rachel Maddow’s show saying she’d heard her “Uncle Donald” use the “n” word and anti-Semitic slurs.

Yeah, right, honey. Didn’t you also claim that he had an individual take his SAT’s for him? An individual he wouldn’t even MEET for the first time until seven or eight years later.

What would be good is for the individual who she claimed took the SATs to SUE her for defamation. He’s not a public figure under Sullivan and she’s basically libeled him in the book by claiming he committed a fraud.

    @ eaglesoars:

She can enjoy her week of fame. But I really think MOST of America sees this b***h for what she really is. The MSM is trying to keep her name in it, but since the SAT story she told was false, I imagine she’ll go the way of the Dodo when it comes to appearances. Sure she’ll sell some books, but if she’s libeled anyone else, that’s still alive, I hope they come after her.

Also, she’s signed an NDA. Those are BINDING. Daniels was going to be in a boatload of trouble for violating hers but Trump said, nah, it’s okay. I doubt he’s going to be as generous to a relative. I heard that she was totally pissed off because she was slighted inheritance wise. Hell, her dad was the drunken oldest son, Trump’s brother, so I seriously doubt any of her so-called information is reliable, especially considering it was Fred Jr.’s lifestyle that resulted in Donald swearing off alcohol.

    https://nypost.com/2020/07/16/chuck-schumer-unveils-350b-bill-to-combat-systemic-racism/

Some elements, such as increased funding for high-speed internet infrastructure, had Republican support during past coronavirus bill negotiations.

But I thought blacks don’t even have picture IDs which would allow them to vote, now they have computers?

    I confused.

Most of the Trump family has disavowed her, not necessarily on grounds of dishonesty, just for being a craven bitch.

This is disturbing – IF TRUE. But it’s WaPo so it probably isn’t.

When several men in green military fatigues and generic “police” patches sprang out of an unmarked gray minivan in front of Mark Pettibone in the early hours of Wednesday morning, his first instinct was to run.

They tossed him into a cell, asked him if he would waive his Miranda rights, he said NOPE, and they released him.

Florida health official admits man who died in motorcycle crash listed as coronavirus death

“I don’t think so. I have to double-check,” Pino said when asked about removing the man from the death count. “We were arguing, discussing, or trying to argue with the state. Not because of the numbers — it’s 100 … it doesn’t make any difference if it’s 99 — but the fact that the individual didn’t die from COVID-19 … died in the crash. But you could actually argue that it could have been the COVID-19 that caused him to crash. I don’t know the conclusion of that one.”

I’ve had the experience with a child of alcoholics who created a life of lying to cope with the bad parent growing up. To avoid the dark emotions of the alcoholic. The child grew up with an encyclopedia of lies as their existence and began to lose touch with truth. Any strong negative emotion would create a false memory based on the persons fears.

I thought this was uncommon to people but here I think Mary has some of this issue.

Probably not at first, but I’m sure under the ACA they were probably forced to cover it. What’s really sad is to see these parents pushing the transgender thing on kids that are impressionable to suggestion. If a 3-year-old boy picks up a doll at day care, it’s as if some of these parents immediately pounce and say “he’s identifying as a girl!” If a 3-year old girl decides she wants to play with a baseball – “she’s identifying as a boy!” Then they repeat the “you feel like a boy/girl inside, don’t you?” on an endless loop until the child is completely reinforced in that belief.”

I want to smack them, grab that poor child and run away with them.

Obscene federal ‘diversity training’ scam prospers — even under Trump

The trainers then ask “white managers” to create “safe spaces,” where black employees can explain “what it means to be black” and to be “seen in their pain.” White staffers are instructed to keep silent and to “sit in the discomfort” of their racism. If any conflicts arise, the trainers insist that whites “don’t get to decide when someone is being too emotional, too rash [or] too mean.” Whites are told they can’t protest if a person of color “responds to their oppression in a way [they] don’t like.”

Howard Ross, the consultant who created the training, has been a fixture in what might be called the diversity-industrial complex. Since 2006, he has billed the feds more than $5 million for trainings

    And he’s a white guy

There has been a ‘WALL CREEP at the Three Gorges Dam site registered by Google. The wall of the dam sits in bedrock HOWEVER the wall is NOT keyed into the supporting rock and is just locked in place by the geology of the edges of the valley walls. These rocks are nowhere near as robust as the bedrock . It would appear that the wall is slowly sliding down stream . Google produced before and after shots showing the creep however these have been altered to show the dam war as it was prior to these floods.

    no they weren’t.

We may have to disagree on that one in that case..

The meeting between Hitler and the former King and his bit of American fluff seemed to set the plan for a post war Britain that had not entered the war against Germany but had stayed neutral as the US initially did. It was a very near run thing that the anti-war forces in the UK led by Halifax and his cohort did not get the upper hand and isolate Churchill. Even during the war Hess thought that he could broker a separate ‘peace’ with the Halifax faction in Scotland with his ill fated flight in his Me110,
One of the attractions of Phillip was that his blood was blue enough, being from a minor wing of the Danish royals who had been slotted into place in Greece in a vain attempt to reignite a Greek Royalty, and that he was an officer in the Royal Navy of Britain. As an outsider and with just enough ‘royal blood’, he was acceptable as a consort for ElizabethI I!.

Many of the minor British ‘royals’ in the 1930s were acolytes of Hitler as they feared Stalin’s Russian Soviets.

Yeah, the whole Marburg papers thing, I’m aware. But what the GERMANS thought is not necessarily what the Duke & Duchess thought.

Look, Edward was a profoundly stupid person. He thought he was simply anti-war and he viewed Germany as the motherland of his family (he was right about that). He had zero clue about the profound evil of the Nazis, he bought into their social justice crap (eg. housing). Nobody thought they could win a war against Hitler, but at least he could keep the Commies in check and wouldn’t take their ancestral property (wrong about THAT). The Brits had defeated themselves mentally long before Chamberlain ever signed that idiot piece of paper. Even after the war had been won, people were glad Chamberlain signed it because it bought them time.

Also keep in mind – Edward never wanted to be King. He thought the whole thing was ridiculous and unless the politicians would let him thoroughly modernize the role, he wanted no part of it. Well, they wouldn’t – and that included marrying a divorcee w/2 living husbands – so he buggered off.

I have been thinking, and let us get the laughter over and done with first. Yep Possum thinking…

So, the arrest of George Floyd on 25th May 2020 and subsequent death was an event that was broadcast all over the world and no matter what race you are the outrage was felt by all.

I saw the video and I was appalled at the treatment of George Floyd. I was angry. No one should be murdered by police.

Just on the video evidence alone, and I mean just watching that video as a singularity then no one thought the police action was justified. The world was united.

A chance for unity, all lives matter and get rid of bad cops. Find other ways of restraining a non compliant arrested person who was in handcuffs already.

But WHY was George Floyd being restrained on the ground for almost 9 minutes? Why were the four police officers restraining George Floyd? Waiting for backup from more police officers?

Maybe they held George Floyd on the ground for almost nine minutes while waiting for a dozen more police officers to arrive so they could all pick him up and throw him in the back of a police car. But, no more officers arrived, neither did a really big police van they could have put him in.

No… The officers involved in the tragic incident were restraining George Floyd until an AMBULANCE arrived.

The police tried to save the life of a black man, under the influence of several controlled substances who had a long history of violent crime.

    That is my assessment.

Fauci seems likeable but also unable to be famous. I have listened to him and Brix and both seems capable. But both also seemed to me to be out of touch with the country if the conversation left the public health atmosphere.

I would have created a pandemic division insulated from wokeness and energized it with people, money, and communications skills. We would know that an N95 mask is 95 percent effective and know how to get in line for one. We would know if a bandana is 10 percent effective? We’d have strict death interpretations with meta data attached and the data entered into a public GIS database. location down to the zip code. And google would product the heat map that shows how the virus rolled through zip codes over time.

The problem with both is that they both lie and neither of them think they’re lying.

Remember very early on when the CDC flat-out said it was including anybody admitted to a hospital as a COVID-19 death? And Brix noted that in a presser. It never occurred to her that fudging the numbers may not be a good idea, the CDC isn’t her bailiwick, so she mentally stove pipes the issue.

Fauci has convinced himself that the guidance he gave was correct AT THE TIME, – not factually but politically – completely immune to the idea that the virus has a size and either the mask configuration works or it doesn’t. If he has a broader agenda, he needed to be trusted to implement it, but he too stove piped his issue.

And don’t get me started on the very first ‘expert’ we had to contend with, that idiot Neil Ferguson/Imperial College with his ludicrous computer model.

So now, understandably and correctly, nobody trusts ‘experts because every last one of them lies and not one of them thinks what they say is an untruth, it’s simply ‘the information people need to hear’.

    – Strong hand hygiene
    – Eating well

Note that masks are not on the list. The thing they found in those studies that people wearing masks were often also practicing those three habits. They did not find that masks were effective.

If these cloth masks everyone’s wearing were able to stop the virus from passing through–which they’re not–they still wouldn’t be effective, because they aren’t sealed

When this whole thing first started, I had an argument with someone about that. I told her to put on her mask, and spray some air freshener or perfume in the air. If you smell it, your mask isn’t doing anything to protect you.

Bingo! If you are fogging up your glasses with your mask, it’s not working. Not that a mask would work against a virus that is on the order of a wavelength of light in size (0.115 to 0.125 microns) while the filter capability of a surgical mask is 3 microns or 26 times larger than a virus. N95 mask is better, at 0.3 microns, but that is still more than twice the size of the virus.

That cloth bandana, not even close. However, that’s what I’m going to wear because none of this stuff does any good and I’m not going to impede my ability to breathe.

There are no ‘plainclothes’ soldiers. For God’s sake. These are Border Patrol Tactical (BORTAC) people, their badges are on their shoulders, POLICE strips are clearly placed on the chest area. The only thing that is not available is the name of the individual trooper, so the guy can’t somehow be ‘doxxed’. The vans are unmarked just like unmarked police cars. I watched a video on the N95 mask on youtube. The 95 percent rating includes fiber strands in the mask that are electrostatically charged. And that attracts most but not all particles that enter the mask. A bandana is N10. The mask I use is N5. That blue shop towel is apparently the best to use.

    https://www.businessinsider.com/the-materials-that-filter-particles-best-in-homemade-masks-testing-2020-4

For this ranking, we penalized the materials that were hard to breath through by subtracting their resistance rating from their particle filter percentage performance. This gives us a crude ranking of materials that balance breathability with filtering.

    @ lobo91:
I’ve been living in an RV. Not sure what your environment is like. But I bought a Pro Breeze humidifier on Amazon for $40. Mildew was building up when I slept and kept all the windows closed. Buying the humider and airing out the RV every morning put a big hurt on all the mildew building up. I replaced curtains with easy to clean blinds. The humidifier works well.

His book is worth a read as leadership in a war book. He annotates some truly atrocious atrocious committed on children by the Taliban. And he held back in the book.

His interview on the Jocko Wilink podcast is worth a listen. And if anyone is inclined to listen to leadership talks with war veterans then the Jocko podcast is the best one out there. IMO.

Sean Parnell is a steady, capable and thoughtful man. He can lead. He understands issues. A good example.

Method Daily Shower Spray works wonders for the mildew issues in our bathroom, and doesn’t smell terrible. (Our apt. doesn’t have the best AC or ventilation, and the fixtures are OLD.)

It’s all-natural, smells like mint and eucalyptus.

That is a bad decision. There is a chain of command in that ops center which includes FEMA and the CDC plus local fire and police. The mayor would have a media room. The whole idea of that ops center is to focus on an issue and roll it up to the feds. The problem is no one will object and will just shrug their shoulders and move on without.

As long as you’re here, I have a med question.

Normally, we consider children to be human petri dishes. They catch every disease known to man (and get over it) because their immune systems aren’t developed.
