Ardern’s NZ lockdown is at Level 2

Total 1772 actual or suspected cases since March
    Total 1632 recovered cases
    Total 24 deaths
Active cases 116 still in quarantine

and yet we have a Level 2 lockdown nationwide and a 6-7% decrease in GDP and unemployment up from 3% to 7%

Habeaus Corpus is suspended in Victoria as is State Parliament. Victoria Police can arrest anyone under the Health Act and fine them thousands of dollars. The courts are suspended. Victoria Police and enter any structure without a warrant. They can confiscate private property and jail anyone who refuses to comply with the Health Regulations

Press restrictions appear to be the next target for Andrew regime. There is NO recall for the Victorian government and they have until 2022 to carry out elections. The Federal constitution provides no mechanism to bring wayward Stated under Federal control unless the State invites the Feds in. Victoria Police are known to be the most corrupt and have been so for the past 150 years, when they almost ignited a revolution in 1854 amongst the gold miners.
    The Stat’s Corona stats are:-

19,579 cases (out of a Victorian population of 6 million of which 5 million in Melbourne is where 95% of cases live)
    16,921 recovered
675 deaths (mostly due to Vic Govt. incompetence in rest homes and stupid deals with incompetent union goons to act as security at quarantine hotels))
    283 hospitalised
    19 in ICUs

    Correct Judge only trials allowed.

Just in the Territorial Administration of the Australian Capital Territory has just enacted the same draconian Emergency rules as now apply in Victoria. The Federal Government governs from the ACT but the Territory administration supplies local and territorial administration within the Territory.

Similar to the set up in DC on which the ACT was modelled.

Bradykinin (Greek brady-, slow; -kinin, kīn(eîn) to move) is a peptide that promotes inflammation. It causes arterioles to dilate (enlarge) via the release of prostacyclin, nitric oxide, and endothelium-derived hyperpolarizing factor and makes veins constrict, via prostaglandin F2, thereby leading to leakage into capillary beds, due to the increased pressure in the capillaries. Bradykinin is a physiologically and pharmacologically active peptide of the kinin group of proteins, consisting of nine amino acids.

A class of drugs called angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE inhibitors) increase bradykinin levels by inhibiting its degradation, thereby increasing its blood pressure lowering effect. ACE inhibitors are FDA approved for the treatment of hypertension and heart failure.

yes, I do, but I definitely don’t feed them the wax paper. Mia is relentless and she is like a kangaroo – she can jump up on anything – like a kitchen counter when I’m cleaning up and she knows it’s her last chance. She grabs and runs. I should have named her Bandit. She knows she’s not allowed on the kitchen counter but she could care less. She’ll apologize later. Or not.

I can get a screen shot pasted into a word doc but not a web site. I am SO frustrated that people I’ve given that link about the covid-19 tests to are telling me to read the fine print – that wasn’t there when I first linked to it. I’ve kept all the windows open and I’m not closing a damn thing until I figure this out. But I have to go to bed.

I can grab the screen with the PrtScr button, but it won’t paste into a comment section of a website. dammit.

Not only is Fuentes declaring his support for Kelly, who President Trump has soured on since removing him from the White House, but he would have been very close when the President allegedly called dead soldiers “losers.” According to The Atlantic, President Trump was reacting to news about the weather being bad at the cemetery when he allegedly insulted their memory. If he really had said it, Fuentes definitely would have heard it. He was the one who delivered the weather report to President Trump personally.

“You can put me on record denying that I spoke with The Atlantic,” Fuentes told Breitbart News on Monday. “I don’t know who the sources are. I did not hear POTUS call anyone losers when I told him about the weather. Honestly, do you think General Kelly would have stood by and let ANYONE call fallen Marines losers?”

He specifically also stated that he believes The Atlantic’s sources “are unlikely first hand accounts.”

This is people trying to draw a chat bubble above Trumps head and then fill the wording in based on their own fears and misconceptions.

It can happen in court also where judges give weight to spoken or written words without any quality control on the creator.

A lot of people are babbling these days and they babble to each other and think they babble together.

I see Brett Baier trying to authoritatively boost Jennifer Griffin up by vouching for her journalism. I’m not even close to being a journalist but I have seen Brett Baier fail basic reasoning multiple time in his shows. And in this climate of journalistic malfeasance journalists should be held to a high standard.

    @rehajm,

I’ve often wondered if that’s how the Ten Commandments were formulated.

The Lord Jehovah has given unto you these fifteen-CRASH!..TEN! TEN commandments!!!

Where did you get such blasphemy, young man?!

The true explanation of the origin of the Ten Commandments came from now departed Jewish father in law, who told me the following tale:

One day was walking around looking to hand out the commandments. He first came upon a Mexican, and said “Hey, Mexican, you want some commandments?” The Mexican said “God, what’s a commandment?” And God said “You know, like ‘Thou shalt not steal'”. The Mexican said “That’s okay, God. We’re good. Thanks but no thanks.”

God continued along His way and came upon a Frenchman. He said “Hey, Frenchman, you want some commandments?” The Frenchman said “What’s a commandment?” And God said “Oh, like ‘Thou shalt not commit adultery'”. The Frenchman replied “Oh, sorry God, I gotta return a book back to the library”.

Then God comes upon a Jew. He says to the Jew: “Hey Jew, you want some commandments?” The Jew says “How much do they cost?” God says “They’re Free!”. And the Jew then says “In that case, I’ll take ten!”.

(My father in law told us this joke as we were driving around DC. I was impressed how, in one joke, he managed to insult the ethnicity of everyone in the car — his Mexican-American second wife, my French heritage, and his & my wife’s Jewishness.)

FISA court scolds FBI for ‘widespread violations’ of privacy rules

In a ruling made in December but unsealed over the Labor Day weekend, Judge James Boasberg revealed that a July 2019 audit had found 87 instances in which the FBI queried “raw FISA acquired” evidence even though agents or analysts “were not reasonably likely to retrieve foreign intelligence information or evidence of a crime” as required by law. In other words, they risked violating Americans’ privacy without a lawful basis.

Clinesmith might spend a year or so in some resort prison, but that’s about it.

Durham’s report will be an announcement that his investigation has concluded, report has been given to DOJ for them to release or not as they see fit.

Listen to Barr very carefully. They will bring charges if they think that can convict. They declined to prosecute McCabe because the D.C. jury pool is corrupt.

    Dots. Connected.

  70. 73 | September 8, 2020 11:16 am

    @ eaglesoars:

And that’s it in a nutshell, really. Federal Grand Jury won’t indict or D.C. Jury won’t convict, thinking that illegal acts are okay if they were designed to save us from the Bad Orange Man.

You see it in a less egregious way in civil trials. Jury awards millions to the plaintiff not because the evidence demands it, but because they simply don’t like the defendant, even though they should prevail by a preponderance of the evidence. At least in civil cases, we can request a judgment notwithstanding the verdict where the judge is allowed to step in and basically say “what the HELL is wrong with you?” to the jury (if he doesn’t uphold, appeal is just about guaranteed).

Meanwhile the PEOPLE are screwed out of their justice because of politics. I am not sure if the AG’s office can ask for a change of venue, but if they can, I’d move it to the Western District of Virginia.

That assumes they actually are there to do something besides act as a front for a sham investigation that is intended to protect the guilty.

I don’t believe Barr anymore. Oh yeah, he may go after a few protesters, but they’re not his kind anyway

Michael Anton has a new book out ““The Stakes: America at the Point of No Return”

    excerpt

“Kritarchy” is a Greek neologism that means “rule of judges.” Strictly speaking, we don’t live under a regime in which judges rule alone.

It’s more precise to say that modern American judges are a vital node of the neoliberal oligarchy who exercise far more power than they ought to have, in ways the founders never intended.
    .
    .
The beginning of this trend is most often identified as the Supreme Court’s 1965 decision Griswold v. Connecticut, which invalidated a state anti-contraception law on the ground that it violated a non-enumerated yet somehow inherent constitutional “right to privacy.” But the United States Constitution does not mention a right to the former, nor does it require invalidating a properly enacted law against the latter. Those who believe there ought to be a constitutionally enumerated right to privacy have a constitutional remedy: Amend the Constitution. Similarly, those who oppose anti-contraception laws have a democratic remedy: Elect legislators who will repeal them.

Judges don’t like either of these remedies, partly because they can take a long time but mostly because they are, in many cases, not likely to occur at all. Kritarchy is a means to an end, the end being the enactment and defense of the progressive elements of neoliberal oligarchy. If those policies can’t garner enough support to win popular or legislative majorities — or worse, are overturned by legislative majorities — the role of the judge is to impose them in the first case and reinstate them in the second.

I talked about that with someone last nite and the other person had a good point. Basically, Jen has been around a long time in a lot of theaters, including some ugly war zones. She should have developed a nose for being used by anon sources a long time ago. Either she failed at that or she heard what she wanted to hear.

When you consider all the people that neither Goldberg nor Griffin DIDN’T confirm with – I think at last count 15 ‘first handers’ have denied it – you have to wonder. And even Jen’s tweet said she read the quotes from the Atlantic to one of her sources and was told Trump sometimes said ‘things like that’ or something. Beyond lame. Zero excuse.

Last week Charlie Gasparino was on saying Telsa got hit because somebody had been buying it up to push the price up and then…dumped it.

Today it got hit again because its expected addition to the S&P didn’t happen which was taken as a snub.

But when you think about it, both events are the same thing – raise expectations and then….KABOOMSKI. Because as far as I can tell, the metrics are still good. Unless they miss their truck deliverables and start looking like another Boeing. I’m in for a 5 year hold, so I don’t care.
