The Trump Court part 1

The spineless uni-party former Republican Presidents would not have dared fight the Left on this pick. They would have rolled over and then tried to make campaign $$$ out of the situation.

Well, the spineless Yebs! and coke-addled chimps like W aren’t running the show. A fighter is.

Must be an election year for old Lindsey…Regardless, it’s time to take it to the Dems just like they would have done to us.

I am sure that we all think that there are 2 or 3 obvious choices…it’s Trump tho…Lord knows what he has up his sleeve.

I’d like to see more about her rulings instead of stuff on her personal background.

I’m going to play devil’s advocate here a cite the disadvantages of picking someone really young.

People change over time. I’m not the same person I was at 38. I’m still pretty much the same person I was at 55, tho.

That’s why, even tho I don’t know much about her rulings either, I’d like to look at Margaret Ryan.

  14. 14 | September 22, 2020 12:18 pm

    @ eaglesoars:

Of course, the one thing I would enjoy watching with her nomination is the Democrats attempting to disparage a “wise Latina” in an election year. We have a boatload of cases at the 11th and I should go back and see if she was on the oral argument panels. The decisions came down in our favor each time.

She was approved for the 11th Circuit with bipartisan support. Makes you wonder what they could find wrong with her now. But then they refused to give Estrada a hearing when Bush put his name up.

But I’m always happy to see them go OUTSIDE the 2nd or DC circuits.

Was surprised by this but here it is.

    melatonin and Covid-19

Melatonin, a well-known anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative molecule, is protective against ALI/ARDS caused by viral and other pathogens. Melatonin is effective in critical care patients by reducing vessel permeability, anxiety, sedation use, and improving sleeping quality, which might also be beneficial for better clinical outcomes for COVID-19 patients. Notably, melatonin has a high safety profile. There is significant data showing that melatonin limits virus-related diseases and would also likely be beneficial in COVID-19 patients. Additional experiments and clinical studies are required to confirm this speculation.

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7102583/

someone on my FB said her doc is recommending 5 mg at night so I looked it up. However, I remember when my Hubby took this to help him sleep. Over time, your body stops producing its own melatonin so then you’re stuck until it picks up again. So keep that in mind.

YES!! That’s what I’ve been trying to TELL you. Amy Barrett. That is what was documented in the Robert Barnes thread I posted last nite downstairs.

  17. 17 | September 22, 2020 12:25 pm

Biden is almost maniacal about not releasing HIS Supreme Court Nominee List – makes the absurd statement that it somehow “violates checks and balances.”

Tell you what Pedo Joe – your potential picks are a LOT more relevant to me than Trump’s tax returns. Speculation is that he has Stacy Abrams and Hillary Clinton on the list – no joke.

This is Robert Barnes of Barnes law on Amy C. Barrett. It ain’t pretty.

    https://twitter.com/Barnes_Law/status/1308232087342784512

THREAD: #Barrett sided with the government on almost every civil rights case, every big employer case, every criminal case, while also siding with the government on the lockdowns, on uncompensated takings, on excusing First Amendment infringements & Fourth Amendment violations.

#Barrett exclaimed the benefits of Jacobson, the decision that green-lit forced vaccines & carved out an emergency exception to Constitutional protection in “public health” or “emergency” cases used to justify forced sterilizations & detention camps. Read: https://politico.com/f/?id=00000174-572b-d057-a37d-7fef3ec60000

Told ya I don’t like her. She’s not conservative, she’s totalitarian.

Or is she a throw away head fake?

  21. 21 | September 22, 2020 12:29 pm

    @ eaglesoars:

I’m going to have to read that article. What I’m wondering is if Roberts is heading a court with a 5-judge conservative majority would suddenly feel “comfortable” voting the right way for a change.

Breyer and Thomas will probably go next. Breyer is dreadful (his brother is a District Judge out here and he’s fantastic!). I’ll be honest, though – I think if Trump wins and we hold the Senate, Thomas may finally take his long-overdue and well, well-deserved retirement with the thanks of a grateful nation and that Trump will find an excellent replacement for him.

And maybe, just MAYBE, we can finally get that dreadful Sullivan decision overturned.

How will our word whore never trumpers negatively spin that?

  23. 23 | September 22, 2020 12:43 pm

    @ coldwarrior:

Negatively spin what? Overturning Sullivan. That argument is simple – it created a class of persons who are being deprived of libel and slander protections and due process of law.

  24. 24 | September 22, 2020 12:46 pm

I still wonder, by the way, if Roberts has been somehow judicially “blackmailed” by the Democrats. That ACA ruling has had me wondering, especially after I found out he “recalled” the conference to vote on it and how angry Scalia was afterwards. Because I believe his “dissent” was actually the majority opinion that had to be altered after Roberts sold us out.

    @ eaglesoars:

So did Scalia. His son told me once that he wanted the opportunity to hear a challange to it. So far, though, no challenge has ever gotten to the appellate level. I suppose the worry might be that Sullivan could be reinforced – after all, libs remember that the University of California made a HUGE mistake when they took Bakke to SCOTUS. Not to mention Roe.

  37. 37 | September 22, 2020 1:33 pm

    @ eaglesoars:

In truth Bakke was bad law, and the University of California had a horrible set of circumstances, and they were stupid enough to take it to the Supreme Court based on those factors; there was no way in hell the Supreme Court could have decided otherwise – they were stuck with the facts that they were presented in. UC offered NO proof that Bakke would not have been admitted even if the quotas were not in place. Plus the fact that the University never told anyone about the 10 places they held out in the graduate professional schools for those great donors (which to me is unacceptable when we’re talking about a publicly funded University), so where Bakke believed he was competing for 1 of 100 spots, he was actually only eligible to compete of 1 of 70 places.

This a.m. I was out getting ready to water my lawn and watched the walking turds across the street venture out with a huge white box in a wagon filled with trash bags. Twitchy (meth head) put one bag in his next door neighbor’s bin and then put another one for good measure, causing it to overflow. Our trucks won’t pick them up if they aren’t almost completely closed. He then proceeded down the street to put trash in other people’s bins. These were big bags totally filled from what I could see.

So I see him come back and go around the side of his house. I immediately text my neighbor across the street and told her what happened. They got up about an hour later, read the text and the husband went out, looked at the trash can, and deposited BOTH bags in the driveway of the jerk neighbors. Truck came by, picked up cans, and left the bags for them. Neighbor and I took our bins up immediately.

I can’t WAIT for these tweakers to wake up and find out that they trash was returned to them.

I wonder if Romney’s phones lit up with callers from Utah, or if Mitch took him aside and told him that he would be handsomely funding a primary challenger in Utah to him and oh yeah, you aren’t getting any Committee assignments in January. Of course, Romney could always vote “no”.

Graham does say they have the votes. Wonder if Manchin will vote with the Republicans, then. Murkowsky should be severely punished for this BS of hers. Maybe she can kiss that federal aid to the Eskimos (who are the ones who vote for her) goodbye.

You know Florida passed a law that allows felons who have served their time to vote – IF they have paid off all their debts.

Is Bloomberg trying to buy the Florida vote? Billionaire pays off more than $20m in debt for 31,000 felons so they can vote in the state where just 537 votes decided the presidential election in 2000

Other donors include John Legend, LeBron James, Michael Jordan, MTV, Comedy Central, VH1, Ben & Jerry’s, Levi Strauss & Co and the Miami Dolphins

When I dropped Mia, the 25 pound psycho puppy beagle, at doggy day care today, I heard her in her predator howl as she ran into the yard. Picked her up this afternoon and got the story.

There is a new puppy! A 5 month old TIBETAN MASTIFF. That thing is as big as a Shetland pony and Mia, the idiot, just backed him down. When they let her in to be picked up he jumped up on a bed to get out of her way. Apparently she harassed him all day. Fortunately, it’s not a dog agressive breed, otherwise Mia would be dead.

First day of school always sucks.

    This is a Tibetan Mastiff

Don’t think the Church is a monolithic whole. It’s much like the Catholic Church in that regard. Romney appeals to the Salt Lake Metro liberals that elected a lesbian liberal mayor. He doesn’t appeal to those in less urban areas. Even in SLC itself there was a cordon around the temple area where BLM was informed NO FURTHER. Romney is not a beloved icon. He only maintained as long as he has by running and appealing to the large metro area and that is it. And that is now done. The division is strong, hopefully enough of the conservative voters in Utah have grown tired of his crap to make sure that he or whomever the push to replace him is defeated with a more conservative alternative. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples.
The nun made a note, and posted on the apple tray,
“Take only one. God is watching.”

Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies.

There are also some big database intergrators who live on the Federal dime and also provide product to local governments. I am thinking SAAS, ARCVIEW, SOCRATA, ORACLE. Oracle …

Oracle now owns PeopleSoft. However, as ERP product, Oracle means Oracle R12 E Business Suite.

Both products have it’s advantages and disadvantages. However, Oracle has already started to phase out Oracle R12 and shall instead sell Fusion applications. It is not at all advisable to do R12 implementation now. On the other hand, Oracle is committed for PeopleSoft and released latest version and got long term strategy to support it.

PeopleSoft is far more robust ERP system. In fact, after Oracle bought PeopleSoft, it copied its architecture into R12. (Concept of ledgers, replacing books).

PeopleSoft’s main advantage is that it offers end to end solution I.e. Finance, HRMS, CRM, Campus, ELM and portal. It has great development framework like App designer which makes it the most flexible ERP product in the market.

Levin expounded on this last night. Bloomberg has been so vocal about trying to switch Florida to Biden that his motives ARE questionable. And if you look at the other donors, all of them are partisans.

Also, we have no idea what is being told to these people once their debts are cleared and they are free to vote. “[Organization] paid your debt and your fees so that you are now eligible to participate in the Democratic process!” This would be followed with carefully couched language that the Orange Man is no doubt responsible for your incarceration in some way and Biden loves you, so forget about that Crime Bill he sponsored in the 90’s that may or may not have had a role in your being imprisoned in the first place.”

While I’d be okay with an organization paying the fees (attorneys’ and otherwise) of these felons, I have a problem with paying the FINES. These fines are designed to be punitive to the criminal to make him or her pay monetarily for the crime. Restitution to the victim should be paid by the one who harmed. They learn nothing by having their “punishment” paid by someone else.

What bothers me most about the Kavanaugh hearings is that no one has paid any price for the perjury and false allegations that were brought against him. No proof ever offered, and Ballsey-Fraud netted herself a cool million from GoFundMe for her lies. Ramirez, Swett and Avenatti have all skated on their perjury.

But most of all the Senators who put forth the libelous garbage – notably Horizontal Harris and Sheldon Outhouse – who produced allegations not investigated or vetted – emerged unscathed. And Feinstein has never been adequately held to account for her role in all of this. WHY did she wait until after the hearings to produce Fraud’s letter? Grassley promised investigations but we never saw it.

First of the Leaders Debate in NZ with just 3 weeks to go before the election. ‘Cindy’ Jascinda Ardern The Prime Minister robbed of her teleprompter looked VEWRY worried and had that ‘rabbit’ caught on the headlights look about her. The Debate moderator held her feet to the fire on 2 occasions and told her to answer the question posed and once said… Is that a Yes or a No Prime Minister?

“Crusher’ Judith Collins was in fine form and looked as if she was having a great time, smiling and making the odd cutting comment. We even say that Crusher smirk and lift in the eyebrow that is her ‘total thermonuclear warfare ‘tell.” Prior to the debate the poll showed socialist Labour on 48% down 5 and National on 31% down 1 with the socialist Greens up 1 on 6% and economic right ACT Party up 3 on 8%.

Post debate I’m going with National probably up a solid 5% to 36% and Labour down 5% to 43% with NZ First at 2% on their farewell tour forever and the Greens who always lose 3 % on voting day slipping from 6% to 3% and also disappearing for now. The ACT Party will poll strongly and may reach 9-10% by the election making them the King Maker.

In other words folks we suddenly have an ELECTION!

Open mic moment between the PM and Collins after the debate had finished

    PM Jacinda (wendy)… ” I didn’t think politics was supposed to be a ‘blood sport’….. ”

I’d wager the spigot for the Hunter Biden graft and coverup is the agenda of Obama to skirt all possible rules of the founders of the country and drill his hit them in the face policy deep into the middle class of Americs.

Don Jr. was threatened with jail for just taking a meeting with a Russian that was exploratory and came to nothing.

Hunter Biden meet with and worked directly with dishonest Russians to the tune of 3.5 million dollars.

Just switch the names around here and Don Jr would have a 10 year prison sentence

I listened to Scott Adams say that Hunters 3.5 million inflow was probably just an investment from a Putin Russian into his company. I’d say given that Biden was VP that the destination of the money and the manner of transmission of the money is inconsequential. Obama and Biden had a political money laundering scam going on that still reaches into Russia and China. Biden was the bad man for Obama. Obama reaped the political prizes. Biden carried the work and weight through his kids.
