I’m afraid Possum is right, but I’m hoping the polls are as wrong as they were in ‘16.

It’s going to come down to turnout. I don’t think the enthusiasm is anywhere near as high for Biden. That’s where we can win. God help his country if we have Sanders/AOC/Harris’ muppet in office. Until they invoke the 25th on him.

I can see that happening on 1/22 and I can see it taking 2 years so Harris has the chance to run things for 2 years as Biden and then finishing his term and getting the chance of 2 of her own.

    This is just weird.

Emails found on laptop along with sex and drug pics of Hunter Biden suggest former VP Joe DID meet his son’s Ukraine business contacts – one year before he had prosecutor investigating them fired

That’s not what’s weird. THIS is

The Post says the collection of messages and images were recovered on a MacBook Pro laptop that was brought into a Delaware computer shop by someone looking like Hunter and never picked up. It had a Beau Biden Foundation sticker on it.

    never picked up. huh.

    https://nypost.com/2020/10/14/email-reveals-how-hunter-biden-introduced-ukrainian-biz-man-to-dad/

The FBI has it and has apparently done squat so Guiliani just blew it up.

Ah. Great minds think alike. I agree that crowd size is certainly a big factor in thinking Trump might win – they’re better than polls. But I wonder how many people will vote Biden/Harris or just stay home simply due to antipathy toward Trump. And I don’t think there’s any way to measure that. It’s the invisible factor. I don’t have any feel for it, so it doesn’t make me think Trump will lose, but I DO think it’s an element that gets ignored.

This is part of our standard process to reduce the spread of misinformation. We temporarily reduce distribution pending fact-checker review.

We have some polling weirdness going on in my state right now or the people of the state have lost their collective minds. They have the Republican candidates winning on every front EXCEPT for the senate race which is a popular incumbent Republican candidate vs a scandal ridden dem governor who’s mishandled the COVID situation and basically lied saying he’s the greatest of all time. Yet somehow polling has him with a several point lead. Yet all other polling looks legit with the dems being beaten.

What if the Dems in the Senate just refuse to show up for the ACB vote? And they stay out until after the election.

And if Trump DOES win – they just continue to stay away because he’s not ‘legitimate’

Great story about Radio Hauraki, especially the early days.

Peter Telling was a ‘drive time’ host and part time weekend commercial pilot. After getting married the only flying job available was as an instructor in Gisbourne 400 miles East of Auckland, where the new Mrs. AI was a bacteriologist, and actually making real money. Pete Telling used to smuggle Mrs. AI onto his Sunday afternoon flight as excess baggage. Mrs AI would meetme around the back of the hangar in Gisbourne for a kiss and cuddle, swap dirty clothes for clean ones and away she’d fly until next week! Strangely all of my students who had to do long range navigation exercises used to end up in Auckland for the night camped out on Mrs. AI and my flat’s couch! 🙂
My mode of transport in Gisbourne to get to and from the airfield was an old bike I found in the back of a hangar with trick off centre wheels. You’d get sea sick riding it and the local school kids would roar with laughter when I rode past on my way back to the Te Waitiatia Hostel for Maori boys! The only accommodation I could afford. Still one of my students was the manager of the local major motel at the edge of town and he used to feed me breakfast a couple of times a week before we went flying!

    🙂

Mrs. AI and I are headed towards our 47th. wedding anniversary so I must have done something righ, although she receives the right to renew our co-habiting arrangement annually just to keep me on my toes!

    🙂

No community transmission for the past month and Level 1 (just be careful and wash your hands and if you want to wear a mask on public transport. Everything is open and back to normal

Now all we have to worry about is the 12.8% of GNP in extra debt thet this BS lockdowns cost the country and dealing with a socialist moron being elected tomorrow (probably) who couldn’t organise her way out of a wet paper bag without instructions. …. buttt she’s so empathetic …. read pathetic!

For crying out aloud. NZ is an ISLAND with a 2000 Km Moat around it. Groucho Marx and his brothers could have organised a no community transmission scenario … but without the saccharin self serving “let’s all be kind to one another” BS

Vanuatu, Tonga, Fiji , Rarotonga all managed NOT to allow the virus to get out of control as did Taiwan and S Korea WITHOUT ruining the local economy.

nope. I’m an absolute nobody, I doubt if I have 100 followers and I don’t know hardly any of them. I rarely post except to – well yesterday I had a conversation with someone in Ireland about a farm they’d just bought, etc. Some of what I post is political but it’s always as a reply, I never initiate anything. Hammerheads and tiger sharks as well as sting rays come to spawn and drop their pubs in the mangroves about 8 Km from here. The sharks moms however don’t hang around and the first heavy rains of the year they all go back to the ocean leaving the pups behind to grow and hide in the mangroves from the whales and pods of various dolphins species that are all over these beaches. The fish are plentiful and the small sharks don’t bother anyone at all.

Everyone I’ve talked to who is ‘minor’ on the right on Twitter (including me) is being blacked out. ‘Twitter is overloaded.’ ‘Sorry, we can’t post this right now.’ Etc.

I think that Twitter realized it couldn’t kill the big accounts without blowback so it’s trying to cut off the oxygen by killing the retweeters.

I don’t have any contacts with major players in this field. And because of how it’s happening, I’m not even sure they’re aware.

But people like me (100 followers) aren’t being allowed to post, comment or retweet. And it seems to be twitter wide.

If you’ve got contacts that can get the word out, so much the better.

There is a second Bledesloe Cup match up between the All Blacks and the Wallabies in about 30 hours.

16 all last week in the first match. The Wallabies fancy themselves, however this week will be Eden Park, where thousands of Australian rugby hearts have been broken over the past 23 years. The All Blacks coming off a draw and in front of a full house at Eden Park of rabid AB supporters will be hard to beat.

Should be an outstanding game. Weather looks good as well so a load of fast hard rugby is in the offing.

Not a fan of UPS anyway, but just got this in my email:

Hear Lessons on Life and Business from NBA Hall of Famer and Atlanta Hawks Vice-Chairman Grant Hill

You won’t want to miss the next VIP webinar in our Be UnstoppableTM series for small business.

Gerard Gibbons, UPS President of Small Business and U.S. Marketing, will talk with Grant Hill, NBA Hall of Famer and Atlanta Hawks Vice-Chairman and entrepreneur. Tune in and you will:
Hear Grant’s mindset for problem solving and finding ways to adjust in life and business after unexpected events or setbacks
Learn why diversity is important in business and how to harness the power of diversity to transform and differentiate your business
Discover how Grant manages his time and priorities as a business person
Hear the qualities Grant thinks are essential for entrepreneurial success, and what he looks for in the small businesses he invests in
Learn three things about UPS to help set up your business for success

Yeah, if “diversity” is one of the recommendations, then I don’t think any of his advice for setting up a business is for success. It’s wrong to hire people based on how they look or how they are plumbed. Period, no matter which way you are discriminating. I’ll put up any business that hires for best candidate against those who hire for diversity and will bet you that my pick wins.

the interstate highway system challenged the rail for small packages.

    USPS couldn’t keep up

    UPS

    heh, says Fedex…guaranteed overnight!

RPS ground goes after UPS and is then bought by FedEx

then comes along amazon, content (internet) as well as goods using the highways and rail and air…using all the transport systems.
