PARTY AT TED’S HACIENDA!

Do that to me? yep…I turn the whole thing into a giant block party complete with BBQ and tequila and margaritas and cigars and beer and invite EVERYONE on down to the party! I could have that organized in less than an hour! Then hire a couple more Mariachi bands to replace the first one when they need a break. Maybe get the local high school band to march past! Hire some techno DJs for when it gets late… BWAHAHAAAAAA!!!!!

The possibilities are endless!

Good morning. This is the weirdest thing I have ever seen.

Lee Harvey Oswald was instructed by Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev to assassinate JFK, ex-CIA chief and former head of Romania’s spy service claim in new book

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9289315/Lee-Harvey-Oswald-told-Soviet-leader-Nikita-Khrushchev-kill-JFK-ex-CIA-chief-claims.html#newcomment

The authors are James Woolsey, former head of the CIA, and Ion Pacepa, former head of Romania’s intel services under Ceausescu. Pacepa defected to the U.S., the highest ranking Soviet to ever do so. According to the article, he died on Feb 14 from Covid. I would have expected to see an obit somewhere but I didn’t see a thing.

I’ve read both Pacepa’s books, Red Horizon and Disinformation. If anybody knows how the Soviet intel agencies worked, he did. I just cannot imagine why this book on the Kennedy assassination would ever see the light of day.

    oh this is good

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A leader of the far-right “Oath Keepers” group charged in the deadly U.S. Capitol riots said she was in Washington on Jan. 6 to provide security for legislators and meet with Secret Service agents, according to a court filing.

Jessica Watkins, 38, is one of nine associates of the anti-government group charged with conspiring to storm the Capitol to prevent Congress from certifying President Joe Biden’s election victory.

This is a GREAT story about Purim – a holiday celebrating the Jews being saved from the Persians (Iran), Esther who saved them, and how the Israeli’s left the Iranians a clue in the Stuxnet worm.

The second time Esther helped save the Jews, it was her name in computer worm named Stuxnet. We know about it because Israel left Iran a clue–its own version of “Kilroy was here.”

Translated from Chinese: “Chinese Assessment of New U.S. Naval Strategy”

Third, the U.S. will also introduce a new style of struggle, namely, it will bolster competition in the “gray zone.” That is, the U.S. will take greater action in the domains of social media; supply chains, especially defense industry chains; and space and cyber. A fairly obvious early indicator of this was that the USCG—which traditionally operates in the vicinity of the U.S. coast to defend the security of U.S. territory—has recently moved forward into the South China Sea region. It is preparing to conduct military operations in the South China Sea, with the aim of striking China’s maritime forces as well as bolstering joint law enforcement with regional states in the South China Sea, in order to respond to China’s South China Sea rights protection operations.

In the face of this severe maritime security challenge, China should strive to control potential maritime conflicts with the U.S., doing so in these four ways. First, it should maintain strategic restraint, making every effort to urge the U.S. to reduce its hostility [towards China]. Second, it should maintain the smooth operation of strategic communications channels and crisis control mechanisms, in order to avoid misunderstandings and miscalculations that might give rise to conflict or an inadvertent armed clash. Third, it should take substantive actions to unite neighboring states to jointly safeguard regional security and peace. Fourth, it should promote global and regional maritime governance to restrain America’s impulse to militarize maritime security.

Spelling I can understand, not all were equally literate. I have direct ancestors who spelled our surname two different ways – in the same county.

Pronunciation varies widely, even within England, let alone the rest of Britain. Hell, even I was able to peg where you grew up (to within 30 miles. Or kilometers. I don’t remember).

    ok, heads up.

Victor Davis Hanson, Niall Ferguson (now married to Ayan Hirsi Ali), and Scot Atlas (who had the temerity to take on that malignant troll, Fauci) are under real threat.

    They have written the following:

In a recent meeting of the Stanford Faculty Senate, four professors (Joshua Landy, Stephen Monismith, David Palumbo-Liu and David Spiegel) presented and then subsequently published a farrago of falsehoods directed against various fellows of the Hoover Institution. Their complaint was, first, that the Hoover fellows’ views were unapologetically conservative and, second, that they appeared antithetical to the majority of those of the Stanford community—and were therefore properly subject to some sort of institutional and personal censure.

Our faculty accusers failed to achieve both their overt and their implicit goals—creating a faculty-controlled committee to investigate Hoover and intimidating us into silence. Some respected faculty members, including the President, the Provost, and the former Provost all forcefully spoke up for academic freedom in general and defended Hoover in particular. They should be congratulated for doing so in these ideologically polarized times.

Nevertheless, our faculty accusers still succeeded in maligning us as individuals. The impression was left even by the President that we might have “behaved inappropriately” or “spoken untruths.” Unfortunately, this is not the first time such use has been made of the Senate. Indeed, it has happened repeatedly in recent years, for example in February 2019.

To make matters worse, the fact that Hoover fellows are not represented on the Faculty Senate (unless they hold a joint appointment with a Stanford department) makes it nearly impossible for us to defend ourselves in that forum. We certainly were not invited to offer a response to the allegations.

Nor was this month the first time that the Stanford Daily, a student-run newspaper independent of the university but widely perceived to be authoritative, has published attacks on Hoover fellows without contacting them and giving them a reasonable amount of time to respond, in contravention of the paper’s own “Policies and Standards.” Clearly, there is no possibility of Hoover’s receiving fair treatment in a newspaper whose Editorial Board only last November published a call for “Stanford to separate itself from Hoover.”

We are also excluded from Stanford’s Academic Council, but we remain fellow scholars at Stanford. Consequently, we have a right to protection from what has become a campaign of serial harassment that we have valid reasons to expect will continue.

AIDS and the AZT Scandal: SPIN’s 1989 Feature, ‘Sins of Omission’

    https://www.spin.com/featured/aids-and-the-azt-scandal-spin-1989-feature-sins-of-omission/

In the study that won FDA approval for AZT, the one fact that swayed the panel of judges was that the AZT group outlived the placebo group by what appeared to be a landslide. The ace card of the study, the one that canceled out the issue of the drug’s enormous toxicity, was that 19 persons had died in the placebo group and only one in the AZT group. The AZT recipients were also showing a lower incidence of opportunistic infections.

While this data staggered the panel that approved the drug, other scientists insisted that it meant nothing — because it was so shabbily gathered, and because of the unblinding. Shortly after the study was stopped, the death rate accelerated in the AZT group. “There was no great difference after a while,” says Dr. Brook, “between the treated and the untreated group.”

“That study was so sloppily done that it really didn’t mean much,” says Dr. Joseph Sonnabend, a leading New York City AIDS doctor. Dr. Harvey Bialy, scientific editor of the journal Biotechnology, is stunned by the low quality of science surrounding AIDS research.

The other three deaths were all pro-Trump protesters: Kevin Greeson, who died of a heart attack outside the Capitol; Benjamin Philips, 50, “the founder of a pro-Trump website called Trumparoo,” who died of a stroke that day; and Rosanne Boyland, a fanatical Trump supporter whom the Times says was inadvertently “killed in a crush of fellow rioters during their attempt to fight through a police line.”

    @ eaglesoars:
Australian Un9iversities have the anti-freedom of speech pox and up until now it was spreading. Now a group of tenured academics at 9 prestigious Australian Universities have initiated a Freedom Speech Mandate and it is spreading. Individual academics who have been isolated and shum=nned by fellow academics now have a structure with which they can join and mount a counter attack in serious numbers.

It seems that the Fascist Left as usual have over played their hand as soon as they thought that they had real power. Not so. Freedom mandates are spreading amongst all Australian universities as this movement gives structure and numbers to otherwise isolated academics. So far 9 universities have formal Freedom Speech mandates in lace and a dozen or more are well down the track to also signing Universitoes administrations up as members. Still a way to go as Australia has about 50+ universities but it’s a good start, especially when universities with Freedom Speech Mandate membership can use it as a marketing tool when competing for students.

Tesla and others are slowing some production and asking people to take temporary pay cuts. The headlines are all about the auto industry but the issue goes back almost a year.

I’ve looked at shipping and I don’t see it there – altho there are some bottlenecks. I READ there is increased demand for entertainment items since the pandemic but that seems awfully easy.
