I’ve just barely recovered from Pi Day…

An interesting read.

Don’t get stabbed to death by a bunch of Senators who are pretending to be your allies.

Comments

Comments and respectful debate are both welcome and encouraged.

Comments are the sole opinion of the comment writer, just as each thread posted is the sole opinion or post idea of the administrator that posted it or of the readers that have written guest posts for the Blogmocracy.

Obscene, abusive, or annoying remarks may be deleted or moved to spam for admin review, but the fact that particular comments remain on the site in no way constitutes an endorsement of their content by any other commenter or the admins of this Blogmocracy.

We're not easily offended and don't want people to think they have to walk on eggshells around here (like at another place that shall remain nameless) but of course, there is a limit to everything.

Play nice!

Google and Apple have announced to invest Billions of USD to expand their research and developing departments in Bavaria because costs are more than 50% less as in the U.S.A.
The average income of an employee in Bavaria is Euro 45k while the average income in the U.S.A. is about USD 125k

    There’s one where she claimed

All animals are naturally vegan. The “food chain” is a myth created by men to justify eating meat.

Someone pointed out that a vegan diet doesn’t provide natural cat health because cats are designed to catch and eat meat. Titiania responded

Nonsense. All my pet cats have been vegan. I tend to get a new one every few months because cats have such a short lifespan sadly.

    WTF is this?

Irish Americans are at their best when serving selflessly as men and women for others. Not just when battling, as Oā€™Callahan did so well for our country and his stricken ship but anytime they show mercy and care personally for the corporeal and spiritual needs of individuals ā€” humbly and ecumenically.

The United States may be called upon yet again to fight in the far reaches of the Pacific, this time against Chinese communists. We hope not. But if we must, Irish Americans will be there. And in war or peace, Oā€™Callahan is an example all Americans must emulate.

Just to give you the gist of the excised text, O’Callahan was a priest giving Absolution on D-Day from the Franklin. This crap opinion piece has the Vatican’s grubby finger prints all over it.

    @ eaglesoars:

The author of that piece has an interesting bio. Meet Kevin T. Carroll.

    https://www.wiggin.com/person/kevin-t-carroll/

Kevin assists companies in the national security space, including minority and veteran-owned start-ups, counseling them on CFIUS/FIRRMA, cyber and data security, EAR/ITAR, FARA, FCPA, FISA, FMS and OFAC compliance, obtaining them licenses to work with sanctioned entities, and advising on investment agreements.

Before his most recent government service, Kevin was Deputy General Counsel for a software company with national security clients.

Kevin also served as a CIA case officer in the MidEast. Lieutenant Colonel (Promotable) Carroll served in the Office of the Secretary of Defense and on the Joint Staff; with the 1st Infantry Division in Bosnia; as a liaison in Cuba; and as an intelligence officer for special operations units in Afghanistan, Iraq and Yemen

Stimulus Check Argument Triggered Murder of 4 Family Members in Indianapolis: Police

An argument over a stimulus payment led to the murders of four family members in Indianapolis, said other members of the family this week.

Malik Halfacre allegedly shot Jeanettrius Moore and gunned down her entire family, killing her daughter, brother, mother, and cousin. Halfacre, who was the father of one of Mooreā€™s children, said he wanted half of her $1,400 stimulus check, cousin Wendy Johnson told WXIN.

ā€œHe wanted some of Jeanettriusā€™ tax money, stimulus money,ā€ he told the station. ā€œShe said, No, you donā€™t deserve any of this. I work. I take care of our child. You donā€™t do anything.ā€

Johnson said Moore offered Halfacre $450 of the check, but he wanted more.

ā€œHe said, ā€˜Iā€™m gonna get that money,ā€™ā€ Johnson recalled him saying. ā€œThis was the day before [the shooting].ā€

Later, he returned to Mooreā€™s home and looked through Mooreā€™s belongings and purse in an attempt to find the money when Daquan Mooreā€”the womanā€™s 23-year-old brotherā€”tried to intervene. Halfacre then started ā€œkilling everybody,ā€ Johnson told the station.

According to a police affidavit, Halfacre told police he and his girlfriend ā€œwere arguing because he wanted some of her stimulus checkā€ and it added that he ā€œadmitted to shooting all of the deceased individuals in the house.ā€ Halfacre allegedly told police that after ā€œeveryone was shot, he took the money,ā€ her purse, and her girlfriendā€™s car, the court document said

Mooreā€™s 7-year-old daughter, Eve; Daquan Moore; her 44-year-old mother, Tomeeka Brown; and her cousin Anthony Johnson, 35; were shot and killed in the incident, officials said. Jeanettrius Moore survived the incident, according to family members.

Good one also. On the Cleared Hot podcast with Andy Stumpf he says when he goes to a new gun range he always looks at the ceiling in the area he shoots. If he sees a hole right above him, another a few inches further to the target, and more tracking to the target then he usually packs his gun and leaves.

America’s Cup remains New Zealand’s Cup

Best race was kept for last. The Team of 5 million just out sailed Luna Rossa on every leg.

The Kiwi boat has been made faster every day it set out and the crew and engineers have tweaked and modified every tiny thing to make the boat go faster. Some aerodynamicist last night added a faring to the Jib traveller to lower the drag around the jib clew by a tiny amount. Every night the crew, engineers and aerodynamics were tweaking and refining tiny improvements and the results showed that.

Champagne is flowing on the Waitamata Harbour right now. My only regret is tat we never did see these boats in strong winds sailing right of the edge where only the brave or mad dare to go at 60 knots+

What are people using for anti virus these days? One of my 20 email accounts got hacked. The one I used on reddit. But the hacker seems pretty smart. Google Chrome security check shows an account called eteroftheweek associated with my banking page on my pc. Fortunately, I only use the mobile phone to do my banking now. The fake banking page was impressive but failed the two factor authentication. But now I see they also got into spotify. That means they were able to suck my browsing history, login, and password. 2 factor was the only thing that blocked them.

I’m going to update https://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm My copy is 3 years old. I find this file really helpful if I want to do hard redirects on browser calls but it makes ad pop ups fail. And in google searches any ad with a redirect in it will fail. Which is usually the top few search returns.

I had stopped using the google browser cause…. Went to the AVG free secure one but it didn’t catch any of the bad actors. So am going to revert back to the google one for money stuff. I trust no one. But I’ve made it too complex to keep up with. So if I don’t login for awhile its because I deleted everything and can’t find the right browser/email id/password combo to get back in easily.

    going to go back to
1 Norton 360 paid version (still reading reviews on the others)
    2. Malwarebytes paid version.
    3. https://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm

Things went to crap when I went for all the free versions. I have about 400 different internet sites with logins. Have to update all of them now. bleh!

Uninstalling all this free AVG stuff in a few minutes.

It looks like the WH is putting out deep fake videos showing Biden interacting with media when he never did. Also, in the comment there’s a reference to a green screen with the top of Biden’s head missing

Who is in charge of the CGI at the White House?
This is 3rd grade level green screen

You’ve probably heard about the shootings in the Atlanta spas/massage parlours. The headlines say Asian women are dead. Actually 8 women were killed, the others were other races so don’t contribute to the narrative. The shooter is some white kid. Who shot the places up because he thinks he’s a sex addict and it was their fault or something.

    But no.

    Whiteness Is a Pandemic

Whiteness is a public health crisis. It shortens life expectancies, it pollutes air, it constricts equilibrium, it devastates forests, it melts ice caps, it sparks (and funds) wars, it flattens dialects, it infests consciousnesses, and it kills peopleā€”white people and people who are not white, my mom included. There will be people who die, in 2050, because of white supremacy-induced decisions from 1850.

A line can and should be drawn from the actions of the white supremacist who walked into three Atlanta-area massage parlors yesterday, and allegedly killed eight peopleā€”six of whom were of Asian descentā€”to the relentless anti-Asian rhetoric pollinating national discourse over the past year. The former president, and the party of the former president, can and should be blamed for this
    .
    .
White supremacy is a virus that, like other viruses, will not die until there are no bodies left for it to infect. Which means the only way to stop it is to locate it, isolate it, extract it, and kill it.

Cluster headache is often said to be the most painful of all headaches; it has been described as ā€œboring,ā€ ā€œburning,ā€ ā€œlike a hot poker in the eyeā€ and as ā€œsuicide headache.ā€ ā€œCluster pain is described as being at least 10/10 in severity, and typically there is an inability to lie still,ā€

Cluster headaches come in cycles (also called cluster periods). Most people who get cluster headaches have one or two cluster periods each year. A cluster period might last 1 month or longer. After a cluster period ends, you may not get another headache for months or even years.

I rarely get headaches. Got a migraine long ago, but that was due to a spinal tap. Cutting wood with a chainsaw in the middle of winter with a migraine is a lot of fun.

I get ocular migraines occasionally. They’re benign, don’t cause pain, and I get a free fireworks show for about 20 minutes. Mine look similar to this, except it’s more like a crescent of flashing tinsel:

I got cluster headaches when I was in my twenties to early thirties, but then they stopped. Same with my father.

I’ve recently been having some dental issues with back teeth that mimic the maddeningly erratic stabs of pain in the same nerve groups on either side of my head.

My Dad used to get prescribed ergotamine for his, but I think they don’t prescribe it anymore as it’s an LSD precursor.

Studies have shown small doses of psilocybin work.
