revolver news has the breakdown of the ‘Officer Sicknick was killed by reaction to bear spray’. They analyze the video and it doesn’t look like Sicknick was ever hit by spray

My favorite whack job is at it again

Marjorie Taylor Green wants to defund Fauci

The “#FireFauci Act” will slash the salary of Dr. Always Wrong to $0 and the “#WeWillNotComply Act” will ban vaccine “passports,” prevent discrimination against the unvaccinated, and much more to protect the freedom of the American People.

    https://twitter.com/RepMTG/status/1377647623339905035

The Fire Fauci Act is probably illegal (bill of attainder) but I get the sentiment

The magnet video from the last thread was pretty cool. That would make one hell of a weapon.

I love the idea of maglev trains, but I hate thinking of the tens if not hundreds of trillions of dollars it would take to build a decent rail system across the United States linking major cities.

i took euro-rail all over europe. man, what a great way to travel. so civilized and relaxing!

we’ve done amtrack to chicago and back a couple of times, very nice.

but, i’m not sure there is enough market or ‘cultural’ acceptance for real rail alternative in the US. we grew up with yuge highways and fast, big cars. we dont need it, like europe did back in the day.

me and mrs coldwarrior could get to chicago faster by driving one of our cars, but these trips were meant for relaxation.

I’m short on time, and can’t excerpt highlights, but this is important.

Remember the Transition Integrity Project? Yeah, it was fronted by something called Berggruen Institute.

The bottom line is that CCP has its tentacles everywhere. Raheem Kessem of National Pulse got some documentation with a lot of linkages. This is just a taste

In mid-2020, The National Pulse exclusively reported on the involvement of the Berggruen Institute in an explicitly anti-Trump exercise known as the Transition Integrity Project (TIP).

A collaborative effort between former Soros counsel Rosa Brooks and Berggruen executive Nils Gilman, TIP littered the U.S. media with commentary about how Joe Biden should refuse to concede in the event of an apparent election night victory for President Donald Trump – which is precisely what happened.

Brooks – who repeatedly refused to be interviewed by The National Pulse before pulling the TIP website down and ceasing operations before election day – had previously offered election assistance to Clinton campaign chief John Podesta, and specifically name-dropped now-Biden National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan in her e-mail.

Sullivan is listed as a fellow of Australia’s Lowy Institute for International Policy – named by the CCP as a “co-operator.”

    https://thenationalpulse.com/exclusive/exc-china-state-propaganda-boasts-control-over-think-tanks/

    Read it all. It’s horrifying.

FWIW, so you know what’s out there

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who is currently under investigation for an alleged inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old girl, reportedly showed nude photographs of his partners to his colleagues in Congress.

According to CNN, who is citing sources, Gaetz ‘gained a reputation in Congress over his relationships with women, and even showed fellow lawmakers some nude photos of women he said he slept with.’

The report says photos seen on his phone included a naked young woman in a hula-hoop.

“We should be very clear from the top, this is a separate issue than the DOJ investigation that is ongoing right now,” CNN’s Lauren Fox reported

    NEW re Gaetz/Levinson saga:

As we know, Don Gaetz was contacted by Kent on 3/16. They met on 3/17, and Kent gave a deadline of Friday, 3/19, for the funds to be sent to McGee’s trust account. BUT..

On Thursday, 3/18, McGee filed a motion on behalf of Levinson’s family, requesting execution of a $1.4 BILLION judgment against Iran that was awarded to the family last year. What the heck was going on? (2/2)

One thing that can be confirmed is that the convicted scamster don gaetz mentioned, Stephen Alford, definitely once had a relationship with the law firm where the $ was supposed to be wired into the trust account to mcgee’s attention.

Researchers demonstrate first human use of high-bandwidth wireless brain-computer interface

Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) are an emerging assistive technology, enabling people with paralysis to type on computer screens or manipulate robotic prostheses just by thinking about moving their own bodies. For years, investigational BCIs used in clinical trials have required cables to connect the sensing array in the brain to computers that decode the signals and use them to drive external devices.

Now, for the first time, BrainGate clinical trial participants with tetraplegia have demonstrated use of an intracortical wireless BCI with an external wireless transmitter. The system is capable of transmitting brain signals at single-neuron resolution and in full broadband fidelity without physically tethering the user to a decoding system. The traditional cables are replaced by a small transmitter about 2 inches in its largest dimension and weighing a little over 1.5 ounces. The unit sits on top of a user’s head and connects to an electrode array within the brain’s motor cortex using the same port used by wired systems.

For a study published in IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, two clinical trial participants with paralysis used the BrainGate system with a wireless transmitter to point, click and type on a standard tablet computer. The study showed that the wireless system transmitted signals with virtually the same fidelity as wired systems, and participants achieved similar point-and-click accuracy and typing speeds.

Well, it’s hit the Daily Mail

REVEALED: Matt Gaetz ‘showed lawmakers naked photos on the House floor of women he said he’d slept with’ as former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe says there must be a ‘significant degree of information’ for sex trafficking probe to be launched

    McCabe. Unimpeachable source.

Multiple sources told CNN the congressman showed lawmakers photos and videos of the women while he was on the House floor

There is no known link between these alleged images and the sex trafficking probe into Gaetz

Prominent Republicans have remained silent on the probe with sources saying the congressman is not well liked because of his avid self-promotion on right-wing news outlets

Former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe says there must be a ‘significant degree of information’ for federal officials to have launched a sex trafficking probe into a sitting member of Congress

It emerged Tuesday that Gaetz is under investigation by the DOJ over allegedly havign sex with a girl, 17

Gaetz denied the allegations and claimed former DOJ official David McGee was trying to extort him over it and he and his father Don Gaetz were working with the FBI to expose it

McGee denied he was extorting Gaetz and said he had no involvement in the DOJ sex trafficking probe

Gaetz produced texts, an email and a printout purportedly showing the extortion plot

The documents describe incriminating photos of Gaetz with underage prostitutes in a ‘sex orgy’

The plot allegedly involves former McGee and former Air Force intelligence officer Bob Kent in a plot to free US hostage Robert Levinson from Iran

The ‘plot’ tries to enlist $25 million from Gaetz in exchange for a presidential pardon and the probe dropped

Hunter Biden reveals sobbing Joe chased him down a driveway while staging an intervention to get him to stop doing drugs DURING the 2020 campaign – as he admits Ukraine laptop ‘could’ be his but claims he was ‘hacked by Russians’

Hunter Biden’s interview with CBS will air on Monday morning

He took part in it to promote his new memoir, Beautiful Things

In the sit-down, he reveals he was still using drugs last year, during his father’s Presidential campaign

He recalls Joe and his daughters staging an intervention at the family home in Wilmington

The girls stood in front of his car, blocking the doors, to stop him from taking the wheel

Joe, then 77, grabbed him in a bear hug, cried, and said: ‘I don’t know what to do’

Hunter said all he could think of was how to do ‘another hit’

He also shrugs off the laptop that contained details of his Ukrainian business dealings, saying: ‘For real, I don’t know!’ when asked if it was his
He said it ‘certainly’ could be his, but that he also could have been ‘hacked by Russian intelligence’

They need to rethink fitness and have standards per unit type. Maybe have them roll in a judo club. That will make everyone fit. I used to be able to run a 12 minute two mile consistently. Now I would be lucky to limp it in 30 minutes. If they can do it in 18 minutes I would consider them barely fit for the military.

So where is the fault? The test or the unit commanders?

    Before you answer

I think some women are just not competitive (I am not). Men seem to be by instinct. I really don’t care if somebody is better at something than I am as long as I’ve done the best I can. I compete against myself. There’s a psychological component. Of course, Serena Williams would spit on me. Iron Fist and I had great conversations about this (women disappear from training once the competitions start). And of course, some women compete for men or measure themselves against other women, which I’ve never understood.

    There’s something I don’t get because I suspect I’m weird.

Anyhoo, I suspect the problem is the female psychology.

    @ eaglesoars:

The problem here is the test. It’s a ridiculously time- and resource-intensive test that really doesn’t measure anything useful.

When I joined the Army, the PT test had 5 events, and required a prepared course to conduct it. In addition to the 2 mile run and situps, which were carried over to the APFT, you had to do a horizontal ladder, the inverted crawl (which required a sand pit of certain dimensions), and a real piece of stupidity called the Run, Dodge and Jump. That one required two pairs of wooden hurdle-type things with a trench in the middle. You had to weave around the first pair, then jump the trench, and then weave around the other pair some number of times. That event was best known for causing sprained and broken ankles.

Obviously, you can’t find a course like that just anywhere, so it made it really hard for deployed units to train. And if you were in the Guard or Reserves, you were probably out of luck 28 days out of the month.

Someone eventually wised up and invented the APFT. Three events: 2 mile run, pushups and situps. You can do that pretty much anywhere. About the only specification is that you have to actually run on the ground, not a treadmill, but it doesn’t have to be on a special track.

There were 2 sets of standards (men and women), and those were further broken down by age. Was it perfect? No. But it was a lot better than what we had before.

Personally, I think there should probably be two types of tests. A basic one that everyone takes (like the APFT), and one that’s geared toward a person’s actual specialty. The infantry has something like that already, which is the test for the Expert Infantry Badge (EIB). No other branches do, as far as I know.

ok, I’m gonna talk a bit about transhumanism. Remember awhile ago I said Elon Musk was working toward implanting chips in brains, etc.? And I asked if you would be willing to do it if you could understand everything about what you wanted?

I’ve been listening to Steve Bannon recently (I know people don’t like him, but his brains are excellent and I don’t have to marry the guy). He focused on the subject in his last 2 podcasts and I wasn’t aware how far along it’s come. There is this utopian technocrat elite that seems to have the ultimate goal of uploading their ‘brains’ to ‘the cloud’ in order to escape the corporal body and gain eternal life. (As an aside, ‘the cloud’ resides in a device that requires electricity and I wonder if they would be willing to subject their cloud selves to the vagaries of ‘green’ energy.) For those who die before the technology matures, one guy, Ray Kurzweil, proposes Dyson spheres as a route to resurrect them.

    https://www.popularmechanics.com/science/a35788050/dyson-sphere-digital-resurrection-immortality/

One of Bannon’s guests, Mark Jeftovik, who has been watching this for awhile, has a very good point. Vis a vis the Turing paradox, Jeftovik says ‘artificial intelligence’ doesn’t exist, ‘algorithmic imitation’ does.

There was a lot more. Bannon’s podcast can be found at pandemic.warroom.org. I just thought that this Easter weekend, when some ponder the miracle of life, the promise of eternal life, and the willingness of one small, nondescript man to sacrifice himself to prove what so many believe to be true, it was an interesting podcast.

And just to be clear, the last guest on the podcast is a rabbi whose name I’ve forgotten and he could NOT have been more clear. Leaving the quest for immortality aside, this transhumanism is replacement of God with man and history is replete with lessons of where that leads.

    And that’s my Easter post.

I’m fickle in my podcast listening. I keep having some favorites but then moving on. The only steadies for me have been the Navy Seal podcasts.

I started listening to Bannon about a week ago. He has some deep perceptions and experiences in life. He seems to know how to call BS on information. His casts with Majorie Taylor Greene show her to be a thoughtful and practical woman. She might have a blind spot in relation to Trump weaknesses. She puts a lot of faith in him.

As for the transhuman thing. I don’t think science can understand human consciousness well enough to impart a soul onto a machine. The machine would have to be able to breath and in that breath animate its existence. These machine implants we see? IMO will just be information extensions of consciousness like a telescope or a microscope. They will filter and quality source information so that the human mind and be more sensitive and precise.
