The headline is highly misleading. “A majority” = 53%. Yes, it’s more than 50%, but my bet is that of that majority, a large number of them are followers. After they see other people breathing air freely, they will abandon the CO2 rebreathers.

It was a Rasmussen Male Bovine Excrement poll. 38% democrat (sheep), only 32% GOP. 30% other. Showing that this is a mostly political issue, those very likely to continue wearing masks, 54% identify as very liberal, 31% as somewhat liberal.

That is pretty wise. Tim Pool quoted a survey on his podcasts that detailed about 47 percent of liberal as existing with some form of mental illness. Where in the conservative arena the percentage was around 25 percent. Conservatives trended more to be happy people.

And Happy Easter to all. I’m learning part of life is taking all problems and asserting a best effort into them.

I lived for over a year with two hard meth/fentanyl addicts. It literally sucks the life out of one. I don’t really observe holidays anymore. But I like to see people enjoying them to their fullest. Work hard and have the most fun.

In that world they say you have to hit rock bottom before you give up and see God. Even then some people have further to fall. Hopefully Easter celebrations trigger them to rise.

No disagreement there. I’m amazed at how easy it was to get people so compliant. But I guess after learning of the Milgram experiment, “The experiment must continue”, I should not be. I thought the experiment was to serve as a point of concern about how easy it was to manipulate American citizens by someone posing as an authority figure (scientist in a white lab coat), instead, it appears to have been a recipe for how to exert control.

    i despise that term.

its a cop out. a sign of mental weakness. a sign that the person is incapable of logical thought and understanding.

so what if someone disagrees with you? big deal. let me rant for a moment:

i know some peeps who have just about had it with the left, they WERE apolitical, happy people, now they are pissed. this balkanization will not end well for the left. because, as marx points out, the bourgeoise are very hard to overcome, especially when they are threatened.

we my be headed toward a great reckoning. it wont end well for the left. the pendulum swings, relentlessly. and at this point, the pendulum is a scythe. marxism/communism is a failure everywhere and forever. but, his analysis of political struggle is valid and should be understood. an unpopular overthrow by the left will result in blowback,

as above, barkley is dead on. and this will become more evident as time goes on. barkley v marx. who woulda though?

He’s deleted the tweet but ‘Reverend’ Raphael Warnock (now GA senator) tweeted that the meaning of EAster is more transcendent than the resurrection, that Christian or no, thru a commitment to helping others we can save ourselves.

Even I know the teachings of Christianity are the polar opposite – NOTHING transcends the resurrection (‘acts’ is an idea that is actually closer to Judaism). So he gets called out by practicing Christians and THEY get called racist.

    It’s so predictable. And tedious.

Beijing muscles in on the South China Sea filling it with hundreds of boats lashed together in an act of aggression designed to ‘squeeze out’ other Asia countries

China have claimed the Chinese vessels off the coast of the Philippines are merely fishing boats sheltering from bad weather

But satellite images show hundreds of ships – believed to be manned by Chinese militia personnel – lined closely together at Whitsun Reef in South China Sea

This is despite Philippines calling on China to withdraw ‘maritime militia’ vessels

sold daughter’s Riverside property for top dollar Wednesday and purchased a new build Saturday at Hobensonvilly Air Force Base. the old HQ and hauling out hangars for former lying boats. looks a million dollars with ferry wharfs and coffee bars and bikeways. the new build belonged to a distressed Chinese seller who got caught holding 7 home units and had to sell. put the acid on them and they popped. great price and we figured out how to make another en-suite bathroom out of a too large laundry. end townhouse as well so additional windows and more light too.Ms, AI is overjoyed with the purchase. instant capital gain. we put in some piping and buy a shower, toilet and small basin , close off a wall and use door to gain access from the Master bedroom. $10k and we now have a two double bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom set up that puts us into the next $850k – $900 bracket. we stole it as it was for $783k

Good morning! Here’s your new narrative.

White Evangelical Christians are holding up recovery by refusing to take the vaccine. They’ll kill us all

NYT: White Evangelical Resistance Is Obstacle in Vaccination Effort
Millions of white evangelical adults in the U.S. do not intend to get vaccinated against Covid-19. Tenets of faith and mistrust of science play a role; so does politics.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/05/us/covid-vaccine-evangelicals.html

If that’s paywalled for you, Yahoo picked it up directly from the NYT

How White Evangelicals’ Vaccine Refusal Could Prolong the Pandemic

    https://news.yahoo.com/white-evangelicals-vaccine-refusal-could-184458952.html

NPR is a bit more balanced, but it’s still the theme

‘Love Your Neighbor’ And Get The Shot: White Evangelical Leaders Push COVID Vaccines

“I have a very hard time getting from vaccine to the Mark of the Beast,” Cornutt said, referring to one baseless rumor that linked vaccination requirements to an idea in Revelation, the apocalyptic book at the end of the New Testament.

    https://www.npr.org/2021/04/05/984322992/love-your-neighbor-and-get-the-shot-white-evangelical-leaders-push-covid-vaccine

I guess BLACK evangelicals don’t read the same Bible as the white rubes, either, cuz all these stories are about the whiteys.

These people never stop. … and why should it matter? We’ve now been told that even if you get vaccinated you can still get or spread the disease and you still need to wear a mask and you still need to social distance. So tell me again, what is the value of the magic potion?

So in this pandemic, we have now devolved into medieval superstion: We have:
    a) Magic Talismans/Amulets (masks with no scientific basis for their efficacy to stop spreading a virus)
    b) Magic Rituals (social distancing, fist bumps/elbow bumps)
    c) Magic Rites (shut-downs, only certain types of businesses can be open)
    d) Magic Potions (That we were told would end all of the above but are now told don’t)

I’ve had problems. I’ll log in, it shows a post that’s outdated, and I gotta hunt around to find the current one.

Rep. Alcee Hastings, barrier-breaking Florida Democrat, dies at 84

Hastings, who had been serving his 15th term in Congress, was impeached and removed in 1989 as a federal judge before his congressional career.

Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Fla., a former federal judge and civil rights activist in his 15th term in Congress, has died at 84.

“He lived a life of triumph over adversity, and his brilliance and compassion was felt amongst his constituents, colleagues, the nation and the world,” his family said in a statement. “He lived a full life with an indelible fighting spirit dedicated to equal justice. He believed that progress and change can only be achieved through recognizing and respecting the humanity of all mankind.”

Hastings said in early 2019 that he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was undergoing treatment at Georgetown University’s Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center in Washington.

His death means another vacancy in the House, which narrows the Democratic majority and makes it increasingly harder for the party to pass legislation without near total agreement.

As far as I’m concerned, the main thing Hastings accomplished is proving that the Senate should go ahead and impose that lifetime bar from holding further office when they remove someone by impeachment.

I don’t know what to say about this. Probably the best video I’ve ever seen on twitter. A Dad is totally gobsmacked by his little girl (who is going to give Beyonce a run for her money in about fifteen yrs)

    Dad’s reaction is priceless

I urge everyone to get the vaccine if you think you need or want it. And then I urge everyone in America to throw away their masks, demand their schools be open, and live your lives free of more government mandates and interference.

So is the 2024 ticket Desantis/Paul or Paul/Desantis?

Meanwhile, I’ve been sporadically combing old threads to update links from “theblogmocracy.com” to “blogmocracy.com” and 6 year’s worth of posts are fixed. I’m up to 2014. 😀

Here’s the very first (posted by “muman613”) in case you’re interested.
