morning! Fox Business just ran a piece on why companies aren’t insisting the Masters be moved out of Georgia due to the ‘Jim Crow’ voting laws. Because CBS makes big bucks off of it and they don’t want to piss off CBS. Look what they’re doing to DeSantis.

There’s a volcano erupting on St Vincents island (Caribbean). They are evacuating but only those who have the vax.

    @ right_wing2:

I saw my first real life example of this nonsense a couple of weeks ago, in a memo from the General Counsel of the state Corrections Department. The person it came from included her “pronouns” as part of the signature block.

Sorry, but I refuse to play. At some point, I’ll probably get fired, but I was planning to retire next year, anyway.

There was some dystopian story written years ago about how the sane standing up to the insane were persecuted. Not remembering the title or much of the plot, just that bit of information.

    @ eaglesoars:

… and there is this from MSN:

So far, no deaths or injuries have been reported, and Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves appealed for calm and continued vigilance against COVID-19 as damage from the 4,000-foot-high volcano, at St. Vincent’s northern end, threatened to disrupt life on the island for at least several months.

So the island is being threatened by a huge volcanic eruption, and this idiot appeals for vigilance against a disease with a 98+% survival rate and a relatively low infection rate.

/The insanity is astounding. I want out of the Twilight Zone into which we’ve been plunged

  8. 9 | April 10, 2021 2:25 pm

    @ lobo91:
Just start randomly throwing letters together as your preferred pronoun, and get offended when somebody can correctly pronounce it.

You can use words from Welsh for examples.

The phrase “when in the course of human events”

  9. 10 | April 10, 2021 2:25 pm

    @ right_wing2:
Translates to “ pan yn ystod digwyddiadau dynol‘ in Welsh.

    @ lobo91:

I think the pronoun thing is, at it’s foundation, a particularly insidious way to indoctrinate children.

Pronouns are one of the first bits of language children learn both at home, then at school.

A lot of things that seem off-the-wall or insane are in fact being driven by the Frankfurt school disciples at the top of the Progressive hierarchy.

There is a method to the madness.

Just passing through. The human body is a strange and complicated thing.

A bit of background. I currently do not have a job and so days and nights are kind of interchangeable. If I do not deliberately try to regulate my awake time and my sleep time I tend to drift into a pattern of waking at 3pm or later and then going to bed at 4-5am. It varies.

Well, at 4am it is quite cool here still and so bed time means curl up under blankets. By wake up time at 3pm it is hot and I am sweating profusely!

Another part of the background is I drink more than I should. Those five liter boxes of red wine are evil. It is easy to just keep having a nice glass of wine, and then another, and another…

An easy way of consuming a lot of calories per day ( and I use the word “day” to describe awake time ) and then there are meal times.

Meal times consist of some type of meat or fish, veggies, cheese, eggs etc. Not bulky mash and stuffing or pasta because I am full of wine and just need tasty snacks. Not really hungry as my main source of “food” was wine.

    Then I quit drinking….

Now, where am I going with this you may ask. Go on, ask!

    Biden and crew are weak.
The Mexican Cartels swarm the border.
Some group convinces Turkey to Annex kurds and jack up Nato.
Iran gives Israel some marshmallows of peace.
    Russia rolls Ukraine
China rolls Taiwan and puts money into US Senators.

Biden promotes woke generals to fight the pronouns being used by his troops.

IF they all do it at the same time Biden has squat. If they do it when Chauvin is acquitted double plus. CNN would support this.

This is a slow place. The end of the story is once I subtracted wine from my daily intake I unexpectedly became ketogenic.

So, sticking with what I was eating and I think I am losing weight even though I smell like an over ripe banana.

Only a week has gone by but my man tits have shrunk.

From the Should I Stay Or Should I Go Department:

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — Just days after Ku Klux Klan fliers were found around Huntington Beach, police were gearing up for possible unrest. A “White Lives Matter” rally was expected to draw demonstrators and counter-protestors on Sunday, according to multiple reports.

The rally, which is believed to be part of a nationally coordinated group of white supremacist protests across the country at various cities, is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Huntington Beach Pier.

Activists planned a counter-protest at the pier at 11 a.m., according to Black Lives Matter Huntington Beach.

Assholes from L.A. County have pulled the KKK flyer stunt before, but now they’ve given BLM an excuse, and there’s a Starbucks right next to the pier for Antifa to torch.

  27. 29 | April 11, 2021 1:24 am

There’s a live pier webcam here, at the PCH & Main Street intersection where the fun (if any) will start.

    BULLSHIT.

  29. 31 | April 11, 2021 2:00 am

This is absurd. From the link above:

A recent report released by Stop AAPI Hate recorded 3,795 incidents of harassment and assault against Asian Americans in the U.S. between Feb. 28 and March 19.

Check out the “report” statistics. The “hate crimes” include online harrassment.
    https://secureservercdn.net/104.238.69.231/a1w.90d.myftpupload.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/210312-Stop-AAPI-Hate-National-Report-.pdf

Verbal harassment (68.1%) and shunning (20.5%) (i.e., the deliberate avoidance of Asian Americans) make up the two largest proportions of the total incidents reported.

    Here’s an example:

One of my professors was talking about the public health response to COVID-19 and explicitly called it the “China Virus” and that “we’ve gotta be very careful about that country and what they’d do to us.” (College Park, MD)

Biden sounds really bad on his appearances. The Emperor is wearing no clothes.

From Chapter 23 in the Screwtape letters:

Certainly we do not want men to allow their Christianity to flow over into their political life, for the establishment of anything like a really just society would be a major disaster. On the other hand we do want, and want very much, to make men treat Christianity as a means; preferably, of course, as a means to their own advancement, but, failing that, as a means to anything – even to social justice. The thing to do is to get a man at first to value social justice as a thing which the Enemy demands, and then work him on to the stage at which he values Christianity because it may produce social justice. For the Enemy will not be used as a convenience. Men or nations who think they can revive the Faith in order to make a good society might just as well think they can use the stairs of Heaven as a short cut to the nearest chemist’s shop. Fortunately it is quite easy to coax humans round this little corner. Only today I have found a passage in a Christian writer where he recommends his own version of Christianity on the ground that “only such a faith can outlast the death of old cultures and the birth of new civilisations”. You see the little rift? “Believe this, not because it is true, but for some other reason.” That’s the game,

    @ AZfederalist:

    I understood.

I haven’t had a chance to start the book yet, been too busy w/house stuff. The photographer took the pics for the listing today and the work required to get ready for that has been exhausting. The house hasn’t looked this good since the day we moved in. The amount of stuff you can accumulate in over twenty six years is astonishing. The junk haulers come Thursday. Little do they know. Besides everything else, I estimate they’ll be hauling about six hundred books. Thank god for e readers.

Try 63 years and a farm. When you don’t throw anything away. Mrs. Federalist and I spent time last year cleaning out my parents’ place and moving them in with us. Yeah, totally understand where you are coming from.

    @ lobo91:
Saw a photo of Duante showing off his illegally-owned semiautomatic air freshener.
