The Significance of the Passage of Time Open

Me thinks Kamala was trying to channel her inner Pink Floyd:

“The significance of the passage of time, right? The significance of the passage of time.

So when you think about it, there is great significance to the passage of time…

there is such great significance to the passage of time,” Kamala Harris said.

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way.
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way.

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain.
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you.
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.

So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it’s sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in a relative way but you’re older,
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death…(cont)

Biden probably should have whispered this part but he said it out loud

You know we are in an inflection point, I believe, in the world economy” the Commander-in-Chief said, “Not just the economy, the world. It occurs every three or four generations. As one of the top military people said to me in a secure meeting the other day, 60 million people died between 1900 and 1946 and since then we established a liberal world order and that hadn’t happened in a long while. Lot of people dying [now], but nowhere near the chaos. And now’s the time when things are shifting. There’s gonna be a new world order out there, and we’ve gotta lead it. And we’ve gotta unite the rest of the world in doing it.

Jackson says right to keep and bear arms a ‘fundamental right’

Judge Jackson told Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, that she views the right to keep and bear arms as a “fundamental right.”

“The Supreme Court has established that the individual right to keep and bear arms is a fundamental right,” she said.

Jackson went on to explain that fundamental rights, such as those outlined in the Second Amendment, are “deeply rooted in the history and traditions of this country” and primarily “relate to personal individual autonomy.”

Companies would be required to disclose their greenhouse gas emissions and be held to account for their climate promises under a proposal published Monday by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
    .
    .
Companies would have to disclose emissions generated by operations and energy use — known as scope 1 and scope 2 emissions.
    .
    .
Indirect emissions generated by suppliers and customers — scope 3 — must be disclosed if they are material to a company’s performance or if the company has set targets for reducing emissions. A safe harbor would shield companies from legal repercussions stemming from misreporting scope 3 data, which in part relies on suppliers providing accurate information to the companies.

    Martin Armstrong

There is no NATIONAL SECURITY interest for the United States in Ukraine. Everyone just chooses sides, but nobody asks the question why should the entire world go to war, which will turn nuclear, over Ukraine as they did over the Balkans in WWI? The US is not even strategically threatened if Putin took all of Ukraine.

Americans are foolish and think this is some video game and they can watch the US beat Putin like this is Monday night football. This time there are nuclear weapons and a Russian Stealth Sub can surface just miles offshow and launch against 160 targets in a matter of minutes. EVERY Administration has always sought peace UNTIL now! So go ahead and cheer for the destruction of Putin. Just be very careful for what you with for. War simulations with China have also warned that American can lose and very fast.

Biden keeps claiming that Russia is losing. He said the launch of its hypersonic missile in Ukraine over the weekend was a sign of desperation rather than testing the weapon real time. He then threatened China that if they supported Putin, they would suffer the same sanctions. Biden then says that Putin’s may launch cyberattacks against the US and use chemical weapons in Ukraine next because his “back is against the wall.”

If this is true, why not try to clam things down when we know Putin does not believe in retreat? We have only cheerleaders for war – no peacemakers. All of this because Ukraine refused to let the Donbas be independent in a democratic process and vote? You do not push Putin against the wall and then claim he is a madman. If Putin was really a madman, he would nuke Ukraine and then what? There is an intended agenda here and it smells like intentional war. Must we all die because Neocons simply hate Russians and Chinese?

It remains questionable why Putin is holding back. He has the power station and could turn off the power, but he has not. Reports keep saying the Russians are stalled about 15 miles from Kyiv. Poland has put its forces on alert as Russian and Belarusian forces are likely to deploy on the Polish-Ukrainian border to close all cargo routes to Kyiv. That is the typical siege strategy which tends to imply he wants a surrender rather than to flatten Kyiv.

Putin, I believe, was lured into his invasion knowing his chief complaint has been the constant eastward movement of NATO. That does not make him a victim. There are no good guys. Both sides fight for their own self-interest precisely as in economics – i.e. Adam Smith’s Invisible Hand. What he did not expect was this onslaught of attacks against all Russians and the sanctions that have effectively cut off Russia from the West. This is intended to put so much pressure on Russia that they storm the Kremlin and behead him or some drastic event of that nature. But now, the hatred is against all Russians as a race. This is the dream of Ukrainian Nazis.
    .
    .
Worse still, if you were China and you just watched what the West has done to Russia, you would be wise never to trust doing business with the West again. You certainly would count your fingers after shaking hands knowing that they could quickly do the same to you. This is certainly why China is moving rapidly to get its own alternative to SWIFT and Saudi Arabia has just agreed to join selling oil to them in Yuan.

So that appears to be the core of the federal case. Project Veritas had nothing to do with the initial taking of the diary but in seeking to determine if it was real they allegedly asked if there were other items from the house that would prove it belonged to Ashley Biden. And that, according to the feds, was tantamount to breaking and entering.

    Oxford Academic Clinical Infectious Diseases

    https://academic.oup.com/cid/advance-article/doi/10.1093/cid/ciab707/6353927

Although significant weight loss and higher serum cytokine/chemokine levels were found in IM group at 1–2 days post-injection (dpi), only IV group developed histopathological changes of myopericarditis as evidenced by cardiomyocyte degeneration, apoptosis, and necrosis with adjacent inflammatory cell infiltration and calcific deposits on visceral pericardium, although evidence of coronary artery or other cardiac pathologies was absent. Serum troponin level was significantly higher in IV group. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) spike antigen expression by immunostaining was occasionally found in infiltrating immune cells of the heart or injection site, in cardiomyocytes and intracardiac vascular endothelial cells, but not skeletal myocytes. The histological changes of myopericarditis after the first IV-priming dose persisted for 2 weeks and were markedly aggravated by a second IM- or IV-booster dose. Cardiac tissue mRNA expression of interleukin (IL)-1β, interferon (IFN)-β, IL-6, and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α increased significantly from 1 dpi to 2 dpi in the IV group but not the IM group, compatible with presence of myopericarditis in the IV group. Ballooning degeneration of hepatocytes was consistently found in the IV group. All other organs appeared normal.

    Conclusions
This study provided in vivo evidence that inadvertent intravenous injection of COVID-19 mRNA vaccines may induce myopericarditis. Brief withdrawal of syringe plunger to exclude blood aspiration may be one possible way to reduce such risk.

    Mary had a little watch.
    She swallowed it one day,
    So Mary took some Feen-A-Mint
    To pass the time away.

    The Feen-A-Mint it did not work;
The time it did not pass,
But if you want to know what time it is,
Just look up Mary’s little brother.

It might be nice to know who filed the challenges

A Chicago-area company that makes garage door openers is at the center of a new global supply chain controversy that could affect building construction across the country.

Chamberlain is the No. 1 maker of garage-door and security-gate openers for new homes, hospitals, and military buildings, but it is being held up from producing them because of a patent challenge.

The International Trade Commission has asserted two patent infringements on Chamberlain’s technology, causing a delay in production.

One of the company’s foreign competitors complained to the ITC, even though Chamberlain says it’s been producing its openers with the same commonly used technology for nearly 30 years. Though the company disputes the ITC findings, it’s taken action by complying with orders to adjust. Within five days, Chamberlain said it redesigned its technology and submitted the reworked products to U.S. Customs officials for legal approval.

Given that’s usually a months-long process, Chamberlain CEO Jeff Meredith has written a letter to the Biden administration urging it to nudge the ITC to modify the orders so Chamberlain can continue manufacturing products to avoid what it says would be a massive supply shortage while U.S. Customs approves the redesigned products.

Meredith says without Biden’s help, there could be a new supply shortage leading to higher costs on consumers and builders.

Chamberlain employs 1,600 people nationwide, including 700 in Illinois. The company works with customers directly, as well as garage-door installers and small businesses across the country that contract with homebuilders. If a garage door issue results in a supply chain crisis, Meredith said, it could affect the entire industry right as prime building season gets underway this spring.

Ukraine Is the Ruling Class’s Latest Propaganda Ploy

What isn’t normal is the all-out effort to promote Ukraine’s cause in America—an effort grafted on to a long series of ongoing propaganda campaigns deployed by US institutions and industries against the same target: the American public. These campaigns have used the same methods, personnel, platforms, and even catchwords to deceive, harass, and punish working- and middle-class Americans to the benefit of the country’s increasingly powerful ruling oligarchy.

To help their chosen candidate, Joe Biden, unseat President Donald Trump, Silicon Valley giants blocked an October 2020 New York Post exposé about influence-peddling by Biden’s son Hunter. Fifty former top US intelligence officials characterized the Post’s reporting as Russian disinformation, a claim echoed unanimously and uncritically by prestige outlets. The New York Times repeatedly called the Hunter Files “unsubstantiated,” while National Public Radio’s managing editor for news, Terence Samuels, huffed that “we don’t want to waste our time on stories that are not really stories.”

Yet even as the Times acknowledged last week that the Hunter emails uncovered by the Post were indeed authentic, the same tech firms are banning videos and stories that contradict the US political establishment’s official Ukraine narrative for the same reason: American spies claim it’s Russian disinformation.

I don’t know nothing about anything but am fascinated as to why US Customs are involved.

Patent infringements in the US between US companies end up in a pissing contest in US civil courts.

I am thinking that maybe a foreign supplier that produces a sub assembly for Chamberlain told them ” Hey! If the part you are getting from us was made this way we could cut your cost for it by 45% ”

The foreign supplier was also producing the equivalent part on behalf of another company that had patented that process…

Saw a few things about the plane crash in China. Nobody is looking at mech failure, they’re looking at an on-board altercation or a hit from something external. A plane doesn’t go from horizontal to straight vertical and drop in a straight line 20,000 ft in about a minute. And if you watch the video, it doesn’t turn circles as it drops, it’s STRAIGHT down, as tho someone is on the throttle.

I just hope the G-forces knocked out the passengers. People on the ground aren’t finding even pieces of bodies. They’ve found one black box tho

Trump withdraws endorsement of ‘woke’ Mo Brooks

Former President Trump has pulled his endorsement of Rep. Mo Brooks in this year’s Alabama Senate primary, slamming the Republican as “woke” and disloyal to him for doubting his claims about the 2020 presidential election.

“When I endorsed Mo Brooks, he took a 44-point lead and was unstoppable. He then hired a new campaign staff who ‘brilliantly’ convinced him to ‘stop talking about the 2020 Election,'” Trump said in a statement issued on Wednesday morning.

“Very sad but, since he decided to go in another direction, so have I, and I am hereby withdrawing my Endorsement of Mo Brooks for the Senate. I don’t think the great people of Alabama will disagree with me. Election Fraud must be captured and stopped, or we won’t have a Country anymore.”

    1,131 DAYS?? That’s over 3 years

Bill Maher held nothing back when discussing the problems facing California residents and says the issues may turn the state red.

Speaking on The Adam Carolla Show on Tuesday, Maher said “we know there’s been an exodus from this state. That’s partly because of high taxes and it’s partly because fire season is all year round. It’s also because people can’t fucking do anything.”

Host Adam Carolla and Maher spoke at length about regulations that inhibit California citizens. Both referenced the complexities of setting up their solar panels.

“I have a picture of eleven people at my house that finally showed. Eleven people. To turn on a lightbulb, basically, I had to build a shed to house the thing. I had to build its own home. Which could probably house the homeless, people could probably live in that shed,” Maher said.

He added, “All the regulations that, I mean, I don’t know if it’s Orwellian, or Kafka-esque, or both of them, but it’s just strange. Very strange. The hoops you had to jump through to do something that the state was advising you to do. Solar power was something- I thought I was being a good citizen trying to hook up.”

Carolla then chimed in with his own experience of installing solar panels. After reading all the state and county regulations Carolla decided, “fuck it,” and abandoned the project.

Maher jumped in to say, “‘fuck it’ is what so many people say about so many things out here [in California]. Eventually what they are going to say is ‘then fuck it to the Democratic party’. This is an achilles heel to this party that they have to come to terms with. I mean, they couldn’t build a railroad, they tried, from L.A. to San Francisco. Same thing with the housing- the homeless thing.”

“There are just too many people with their hand out. There are too many people who are unnecessary in this equation. This is kind of beyond politics and it will get hung on, deservedly so, the Democrats.”

Maher famously documented his solar power instillation issues on his HBO show back in 2021. He waited 1,131 days for the system to finally be turned on.

Actually, it’s not. The one that crashed in China was a 737-800. It doesn’t have the same computerized controls that the 737 Max does. The 737-800 has been in service since the early ’90s.

No coins no gas, LOL even if you had money!

Same with electricity in apartments. No coins for meter, electricity goes off.

Nowadays in the UK due to modern electronics you can have a pre-pay gas or electricity meter that uses smart cards or keys. You load them up at post offices or grocery stores.

Good ting about this modern system is if you run out of pre-paid power then you are not disconnected but go on a limited credit system. Once you re-load your card I think 30% of it goes to fresh power and 70% pays off the debt accrued when the meter ran out.

Nobody is cut off from electricity or gas immediatly.

Nobody knows anything yet. It was not a MAX so that is ruled out.

It was not a classic so the rudder hard over is ruled out. That was fixed years ago. The rudder hard over fault happened when the rudder was used when the valves were cold and the hydraulic fluid was hot. As in just prior to landing. Tell me if I am wrong but rudder not used in normal 29000 ft flight.

    This was a 2015 737-800

There are rumors that the engines quit. If so most of the hydraulics quits also. But a 737 can be flown without hydraulics. You just got to have muscles.

Unless the elevator trim tabs are out of specification. Then no matter how much muscle you have you can’t recover from a dive.

A really boring read. A test flight. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/5422f73640f0b613420005db/Boeing_737-73V__G-EZJK_09-10.pdf

They got it down safely and the only thing that needed replacing was the two pilot’s seats and one jump seat.

There were four people in the cockpit but only three seats needed replacing. Why you ask?

There were only three seats in the cockpit, fourth person in there was sitting, not strapped in, on a box.

During the air campaign against Iraq in early 1991, my unit was apparently directly under one of the main ingress/egress routes used by the B-52s. We would sit and watch them heading north at night by watching their marker lights. B-52s typically operate in 3-ship formations, so they’re pretty distinctive.

A couple minutes after they passed overhead, we’d see the lights blink out. That was the point where they crossed the border.

About 30 minutes later, the reverse would happen as they went home.

Durham to produce ‘large volume’ of classified discovery in Steele dossier source case

The Justice Department plans to produce a “large volume” of classified materials this week in the Russiagate case against the main source for British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s anti-Trump dossier.

Special counsel John Durham made the assertion in a filing Tuesday asking a judge for a deadline extension for the production of classified discovery in accordance with the Classified Information Procedures Act, a law that establishes procedures for protecting classified information in criminal cases. Durham pinned the need for a delay on agency personnel being involved in matters related to Russia’s war in Ukraine.

I’m sorry, the headline doesn’t describe the story. Durham has asked for a DELAY in producing a report. And if it’s classified, we won’t see it anyway

When chicken is desired place the frozen chicken in ziplock bag into microwave for three minutes. Then forget about it for a while.

Just before consuming soggy breaded chicken turn on oven to 450F and wait until it reaches temperature.

Take soggy warm breaded chicken out of microwave and out of ziplock then spray with coconut oil.

Place in oven for 5-7 minutes and it is the tastiest, crispiest chicken you will ever eat.

The 737-800 that crashed is an earlier model with a strong safety record and there are nearly 1,200 in service in China, making it the world’s largest market for the plane, according to aviation consulting firm IBA.

Air NZ was offered a ‘deal’ in China to shift all the ‘heavy maintenance’ to China at huge savings to the bottom line. After the Engineering Section of Air NZ did an onsite inspection of the new facilities in Shanghai they declared that the facility was fit for purpose but the engineers were suspect of being under trained and lacked professional unsupervised abilities that may prejudice the Air NZ professional maintenance standards. The parts situation were also questioned as some parts did not have a historical record that traced them back to a known manufactured… read ( knock off parts).

Air NZ decided to maintain their in-house heavy maintenance capability and to assimilate the added costs as part of Air NZ’s quality assurance program.
The Air NZ pilots heaved a sigh of relief and the experienced engineers stopped looking for jobs in the Middle East for double the money but a shitty life style in ‘Sand-rable’.

    Yup.

I was just starting an approach to Christchurch airport in a Boeing 737-300 when Christchurch tower told us that one of our DC-10s was now ‘fuel zero’ and presumed lost in Antarctica. The DC-10 had departed Christchurch earlier that day for a scenic flight to the ‘ice’. I knew one of the lost crew and the Antarctic guide (Graham Dingle) who was doing the commentary to the passengers from the cockpit. The attempted cover up was disgusting and ruined the then Air NZ CEO and Chief Navigator. Justice Peter Mahon was an exemplor who broke open the attempted ‘institutional witch hunt’ that sought to blame the crew.

Exclusive — Kevin McCarthy: Dozens of ‘Preservation Notices’ Being Sent Across Government, Setting Stage for GOP Investigative Clash with Biden After Midterms

House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told Breitbart News exclusively in an interview that House Republicans have sent dozens of “preservation notices” across the federal government to agencies and departments throughout Democrat President Joe Biden’s administration ordering them to preserve documents in anticipation of eventual subpoenas from House Republicans after the 2022 midterm elections. What’s more, McCarthy said he is tasking every House committee with fully engaging in oversight matters — rather than just running everything through the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform — broadening the use of the levers of congressional authority to engage in a massive and unprecedented effort to rein in the Biden administration’s waste, fraud, and abuse of power.

BlackRock CEO Larry Fink says Ukraine war spells end of globalization

BlackRock CEO Larry Fink said that the Russian invasion of Ukraine “has put an end to the globalization we have experienced over the last three decades.”

The head of the world’s biggest asset manager sent a letter to shareholders on Thursday warning of dark days ahead for the world economy, signaling that inflation is of particular concern.

Fink predicted that the war will force countries to re-evaluate the extent to which their economies are interdependent on others. It could also spur economies to develop greater reliance on local manufacturing, according to Fink.

“Russia’s aggression in Ukraine and its subsequent decoupling from the global economy is going to prompt companies and governments worldwide to re-evaluate their dependencies and re-analyze their manufacturing and assembly footprints — something that Covid had already spurred many to start doing,” he wrote.

Howard Marks, the billionaire co-founder and co-chairman of Oaktree Capital Management, wrote a letter to investors expressing similar sentiments, warning that inflation is likely to become a long-term consequence.

This is total BS and these people need to be stomped on and thrown out

Rantz: Hospital staff complain ‘Maternity Center’ not gender inclusive enough for ‘birthing people’

The EvergreenHealth Medical Center in Kirkland may change the name of its Family Maternity Center. Some staff claim “maternity” is not gender-inclusive enough for “birthing people” who do not identify as women.

According to a memo obtained by the Jason Rantz Show on KTTH, some claim the Family Maternity Center “does not emanate inclusivity.” They argue that “all types of people give birth.” Consequently, the staff at the center are engaged in meetings to come up with a new, more inclusive name. But it’s not without controversy.

Employees spoke up at a recent meeting, complaining that it’s pushing unhappy staffers to reconsider working for the hospital. The meeting was recorded by a concerned staff member and provided to the Jason Rantz Show on KTTH. Those on the digital meeting were also told the meeting was being recorded.

The memo announcing the name change idea was sent by four EvergreenHealth leaders. They explained that staff members and patients reached out with concern that the Family Maternity Center was too centered on women. This needed to change.

“It has come to Leadership’s attention from both staff and patients that our name, Family Maternity Center, does not emanate inclusivity. All types of people give birth,” the memo claims. “People who identify as women give birth. People who identify outside the gender binary give birth. People with non-traditional family structures give birth. Not all our birthing patients identify as moms or with maternity care. The healthcare system in general and reproductive health in particular have a long way to go to become truly inclusive of all this variety. How exciting that Evergreen’s core vision is to create an inclusive community health system!”

From VDH and this time I disagree.

    https://pjmedia.com/columns/victor-davis-hanson/2022/03/24/the-real-reset-is-coming-n1583772

    The Real ‘Reset’ Is Coming

So a reset reckoning is coming — in reaction to the “new orders” championed by Biden and the Davos set.

In the November 2022 midterms, we are likely to see a historic “No!” to the orthodox left-wing agenda that has resulted in unsustainable inflation, unaffordable energy, war, and humiliation abroad, spiraling crime, racial hostility — as well as arrogant defiance from those who deliberately enacted these disastrous policies.

What will replace it is a return to what until recently had worked.

Closed and secure borders with only legal and measured immigration will return. Americans will demand tough police enforcement and deterrent sentencing, and a return to integration and the primacy of individual character rather than separatist fixations on the “color our skin.”

The public will continue to tune out of the partisan and mediocre “mainstream” media. We will see greater increased production of oil and natural gas to transition us slowly to a wider variety of energy, strong national defense, and deterrent foreign policies.

Perhaps, but so what? He seems to forget that this is an enemy who just inflicted global mass murder

I have to say, I’m surprised to see this in The Hill

    https://thehill.com/opinion/finance/599057-the-coming-federal-weaponization-of-banking

The coming federal weaponization of banking

The largest shake-up in finance since the formation of the Federal Reserve is nearly here. The establishment of a government-backed cryptocurrency is a threat to the freedom of commerce and would give Washington the ability to weaponize banking against political dissent, or even block Americans from accessing their own money altogether.

A digital version of the dollar has been in the works for over a year now. Earlier this month, President Biden signed an executive order both curtailing existing cryptocurrencies and laying the groundwork for a federal digital currency. Crypto regulations have been a favorite topic of Democrats on Capitol Hill and regulators in the federal bureaucracy. Biden deployed numerous excuses, including the risks of money laundering and the carbon emissions needed to produce crypto, to justify cracking down on these currencies. But the kicker of the statement is the regulatory groundwork for the coming “digital dollar.” The United States will be the second major power to foster such a move, after China, where efforts to create a digital currency as part of its social credit system are a sign of what might be coming here soon.

Physical currency likely will be phased out entirely over time, in favor of a digital format controlled by the Federal Reserve. The ubiquity of cell phones and scannable codes will make integration of a digital currency, under some form of the blockchain, relatively easy to implement. This soft-nationalization of the banking sector would leave the United States in uncharted waters. Nearly every transaction, from political donations to purchases as seemingly insignificant as a pack of gum, would be visible to the government and subject to scrutiny. Government regulations could block or track certain transactions with no trial or public recourse.

Going thru the comments, and finding the perfect example of why I think VDH is being naive

Comment: We aren’t talking about paying taxes, which is a whole other thing. We’re talking about the government being able to track every dime you spend. We’re talking about a fiat currency that makes the dollar look like the gold standard. The government could easily implement negative rates that would inflate the currency and destroy your savings

    Reply: Good!

We need a national firearm registry, and it’s absolutely insane that we don’t have one already!

And if you’re laundering money, you should he afraid. Otherwise the government ALREADY knows how much taxable income you earn since employers have Federal Identification Numbers and issue quarterly tax filings and annual W-2s.

What are you all so afraid of?

The third world had high hopes for the American democracy to set a trend of fairness world wide. But what they got is Trump banned from twitter, antifa riots, CRT insanity, debanking on a global scale. It’s like having an abusive spouse.

More about the China air crash

During a press conference today, Zhu Tao, director of the aviation safety office of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), said that search and rescue personnel found suspicious debris about ten kilometers from the main crash scene, so the radius of the search and rescue program will continue to expand.

According to the officials involved the main crater, located in a mountainous area of the Teng region, has an approximate extension of 2500 square meters and has a depth of about twenty meters. Remains of engine blades, part of the left and right horizontal stabilizers, actuators, and other aircraft components have been found there, along with crew certificates. In addition, Zheng Xi, head of the rescue corps, said that human remains were found at the site.

The piece found afar from the main crash site is approximately 1.3 meters long and about 10 cm wide and appears to be part of one of the CFM56 engines that powered the aircraft.

They aren’t even going to bother with guillotines for some of these people

Farmers’ pleas to grow crops on land that has been set aside for rewilding have been turned down by a Green minister in Scotland’s power-sharing government.

Lorna Slater, the biodiversity minister, has said she will not let the looming food crisis — caused by the war in Ukraine — distract her from addressing Scotland’s “nature emergency”.

    https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/rewilding-still-on-agenda-despite-looming-food-crisis-says-green-minister-q53hnn7qq

Lorna Slater MSP is now Minister for Green Skills, Circular Economy and Biodiversity. And in a context of a rising cost of living, growing food insecurity and rising household poverty, her policy positions regarding the agriculture and aquaculture industries are important.

Worryingly, Ms Slater’s party manifesto commits her to seeking unrealistic, economically damaging, and deeply anti-business goals.

In the case of aquaculture, not merely do the Scottish Greens seek the complete freezing the Scottish fish farming industry, their manifesto outlines an ambition to shut down the industry entirely.

“Slater, asked if she would be prepared to convert wild land into farms, said: “We are still in a nature emergency that hasn’t gone away . . . so it’s a no.

“The way to tackle this is by tackling food waste so that farmers can produce food that they will know ends up on people’s plates, especially those people who are struggling with their cashflow.””12

A 60% Dud Rate for Precision-Guided Munitions Explains a Lot of Russia’s Problems in Ukraine

The United States assesses that Russia is suffering failure rates as high as 60% for some of the precision-guided missiles it is using to attack Ukraine, three U.S. officials with knowledge of the intelligence told Reuters.

The disclosure could help explain why Russia has failed to achieve what most could consider basic objectives since its invasion a month ago, such as neutralizing Ukraine’s air force, despite the apparent strength of its military against Ukraine’s much smaller armed forces.

The U.S. officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the information, did not provide evidence to support the assessment and did not disclose what precisely was driving high Russian missile failure rates.

We’re taking this seriously Eagles. There are shortages and out of stock signs aplenty in the supermarkets and the food prices are climbing. We’re going back to bulk buying and holding 6 months of meat in a chest freezer at the beach just in case. We can stretch that meat with local fish off the beach if necessary. NZ produces enough food to feed 50 million so just 5 million isn’t really going to totally stop! We grew 50% of our own veges last year and we know that we can be 100% self sufficient is push really comes to shove. I fear for the folks in cities with just 3-5days of food stored.
