Okay, final report on A/C. Apparently due to the age we can’t put the temp below 70 or it will freeze. This will be a problem since when the temps hit 100 the 70 setting can’t seem to get the temp below 85.

    @ right_wing2:

Well, if The View can do it to Clarence Thomas, why not?

    And THIS is bullshit

An Arizona judge has dismissed Kari Lake’s latest legal challenge to last year’s gubernatorial contest while “confirming the election” of Democrat Katie Hobbs as Arizona governor.

Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter A. Thompson said in a May 22 ruling obtained by The Epoch Times that Lake’s team failed to provide enough evidence that Maricopa County did not verify signatures on mail ballots in accordance with the law.

Lake had argued that Maricopa County did not perform signature verification on hundreds of thousands of early ballots correctly during the November 2022 midterms, while county officials had insisted that the verification was done in line with statutes.

Her lawyers argued that there was evidence that lower-level screeners who found inconsistencies in signatures ran them up the chain of command, where they were neglected by higher level verifiers.

They also argued that some 274,000 signatures were compared in less than two seconds each, though the judge ruled that the time was not relevant and did not amount to a statutory violation.

    https://www.theepochtimes.com/judge-rules-against-kari-lake-in-election-lawsuit-confirms-katie-hobbs-as-arizona-governor_5284720.html

I’d like to know more about that judge. The ruling implies that if common sense is not subject to statutory regulation, it can’t be applied.

Report Confirms Dozens of Senators Are Being Issued Taxpayer-Funded Satellite Phones in Preparation for a “Disruptive Event”

A report confirms that United States Senators have been issued emergency satellite phones.

CBS News reported these devices are part of a series of new security measures being offered to senators by Karen Gibson, Senate Sergeant at Arms.

The official line of reasoning behind offering the satellite phones was “to ensure a redundant and secure means of communication during a disruptive event.”

CBS News also notes that the satellite phones were offered partially in response to the January 6, 2021 protests at the U.S. Capitol.

Sources confirmed to CBS News all 100 senators were offered the phones last month and more than 50 ( over four dozen) accepted Gibson’s offer. The senators who agreed to take the devices were urged to keep them close by during travel.

The report from CBS News does not say which lawmakers have possession of the phones. The phones are being fully paid with taxpayer dollars.

The Department of Homeland Security claims the phones are a security backstop in the case of an emergency that “takes out communications” in part of America.

A Department of Homeland Security advisory said satellite phones are a tool for responding to and coordinating government services in the case of a ‘man-made’ or natural disaster that wipes out communication.

Many conservatives including DC_Draino are expressing alarm that a cyber attack prior to the 2024 election would be used to justify changes in voting procedures that will benefit Joe Biden. He argues that senators are being issued the phones to prepare for this exact event.

    https://www.scotusblog.com/2023/05/supreme-court-curtails-clean-water-act/

Supreme Court curtails Clean Water Act

Justice Clarence Thomas penned a separate concurring opinion that was joined by Justice Neil Gorsuch. Thomas contended that the Supreme Court’s ruling in the Sacketts’ case “curbs a serious expansion of federal authority that has simultaneously degraded States’ authority and diverted the Federal Government from its important role as guarantor of the Nation’s great commercial highways into something resembling ‘a local zoning board.’” But, Thomas cautioned, Congress limited federal power under the CWA, and the EPA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers should “respect that decision.”

    You go Clarence!

Oath Keepers founder sentenced to 18 years in Jan. 6 seditious conspiracy case

The founder of the far-right Oath Keepers has been sentenced to 18 years in federal prison in connection with the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol following his conviction on seditious conspiracy.

The sentence for Stewart Rhodes is the longest imposed on a Jan. 6 defendant to date. “You, sir, present an ongoing threat and a peril to this country and to the republic and to the very fabric of this democracy,” Judge Amit Mehta said before handing down the sentence.

Rhodes was convicted of seditious conspiracy in November along with Kelly Meggs, a fellow Oath Keepers member who will be sentenced later Thursday afternoon.

“They won’t fear us until we come with rifles in hand,” Rhodes wrote in a message ahead of the Jan. 6 attack. After the attack, in a recording that was played in court during his trial, he said his only regret was that they “should have brought rifles.”

When given the chance to speak before sentencing, Rhodes, wearing an orange prison jumpsuit, called himself a “political prisoner” and said he believes the only crime he committed was opposing those who are “destroying our country.” He added that he hopes former President Donald Trump wins in 2024.

Mehta told Rhodes that he was found guilty of seditious conspiracy “not because of your beliefs, not because you supported the other guy, not because Joe Biden is president right now,” but because of the facts of the case, and his actions before, during and after Jan. 6.

“You are not a political prisoner, Mr. Rhodes,” Mehta said.

Rhodes and Meggs were put on trial alongside Jessica Watkins, Kenneth Harrelson and Thomas Caldwell, fellow Oath Keepers who were convicted of obstruction of an official proceeding and aiding and abetting, but not seditious conspiracy. Watkins and Harrelson will be sentenced on Friday.

Well, I love the bullshit red tape in city government. My mother was given the school that she worked at, now she’s in the process of taking everything over.
First problem, the city government has informed her the previous owner listed her facility as a daycare, so she MUST have a 2500 dollar architect evaluation conducted to recertify her as a school.
Second problem, state does not require licensing (at least for her pre-school), but the insurance companies she has contacted have stated SHE MUST HAVE state licensing in order to get insurance, which is patently false.

Now we want to start a Kindergarten but the state has two different things being said on their websites, that you don’t require licensing and that you do require licensing. It’s so bad that the state official that stopped by to give them the letter for the Pre-school not requiring licensing, doesn’t actually know herself what the rule is.

In 39-40, the US had no real reason to go to war. There was no clearly defined national interest or threat. Getting sucked into another European power war was very unpopular given what had happened a generation before.

End result: America in, Germany down, and the Soviets out. Peace in W Europe ever since. Pax American. You’re welcome.

Dad told me nobody wanted U.S. involved but that almost everybody he knew – including himself – were fairly convinced we’d end up in it somehow. He signed up in March 1941 convinced he’d be assigned to the Pacific theater, was surprised to end up in the UK

My Dad was a young guy living in China with his parents when WW2 broke out. When the Japanese invaded China, they took over his boarding school along with his 2 sibs. Dad didn’t want to talk much about his experience during that time except to say that he witnessed Chinese prisoners executed in front of him.

I assume that these CCP salvage attempts are over the wrecks of the HMS Repulse and the HMS Black Prince sunk by bombs just before the loss of Singapore to the Japanese?

They are officially listed as WAR GRAVES and any attempt to disturb them would cause the CCP being cited as a malefactor against international law. Not that they give a jot for the law!

How about the Brits covertly blow up the memorial to Mao in response, and make it public why this was done, and tell XI not to start any ‘serials’, as a hint that he’s playing with fire. This CCP scum only understand direct threats that will cause them actual loss.

NIH Spends $1 Billion Studying Long COVID–Produces Nothing

In February 2021, NIH announced that Congress would provide the agency $1.15 billion in funding over four years to study long COVID.

An investigation by STAT and MuckRock, a nonprofit news outlet, revealed the NIH’s efforts to study long COVID have done little to benefit those struggling with the disorder and haven’t contributed meaningful information about the condition, either.

As of April 2023, NIH has “basically nothing to show for” its research to date.
Instead of conducting trials to pin down how to prevent and cure long COVID, NIH has spent most of its money simply watching, tracking, and recording long COVID symptoms.

Gathering information about NIH’s long COVID data—and where the $1.15 billion in funding has gone—hasn’t proven easy; there is no single NIH official in charge of the efforts and the agency isn’t sharing even basic information about its research.

Over 300 COVID-19 Papers Withdrawn for Not Meeting Standards of Scientific Soundness

    https://www.theepochtimes.com/over-300-covid-19-papers-withdrawn-for-not-meeting-standards-of-scientific-soundness_5293140.html

While it is quite natural for some articles to be updated or changed to be published in a different form, some have been retracted because the researchers did not obtain informed consent during the research.

“It will, of course, be withdrawn when it is found that ethical guidelines have been breached,” Grødeland told Khrono, a Norwegian higher education and research newspaper.

She pointed out that other articles have been withdrawn after the editors noticed that the strategies the papers mentioned were giving the wrong impression in the media of being recommended as actual treatment or prevention of COVID-19.

She said these sorts of articles had to be withdrawn as they claimed things that neither the authors of the articles nor their institutions could vouch for.

In addition, some studies did not include a large enough sample size.

When more subjects were included, the researchers could no longer maintain the same conclusions they made earlier about the effect of the drugs.

If the suggested backers of this stupidity (the UK and US using the Ukrainians as surrogates) is correct then we are talking a BLUE on BLUE exchange where two NATO Members attack two other NATO Members. The US and the UK against Turkey and Hungry, using a non-NATO nation as a surrogate to carry out this attack. Sounds awfully familiar when NATO Members Denmark,(logistics and targeting) Norway (Deep diving technology), the UK and US weapon manufacture and logistics and targeting) attacked a fellow NATO Member, Germany, over a similar gas pipeline……… and got away with it! Ukraine a non-NATO Member profited from this attack on their enemy Russia but at a cost to Germany a Member of NATO. Sounds as if belonging to NATO is a dangerous position to be in, as one can end up as a NATO target.Perhaps NATO Members Turkey and Hungry should complain about these NATO instigated attacks on Russian assets that cause collateral damage to NATO Member nations.

Mysterious Form of ‘Mad Cow Disease’ Emerges in The US

    https://www.sciencealert.com/mysterious-form-of-mad-cow-disease-emerges-in-the-us

US health officials have detected an atypical case of “mad cow disease” in a beef cow at a slaughter plant in the state of South Carolina, they announced Friday.

The US Department of Agriculture said in a statement that the animal “never entered slaughter channels and at no time presented a risk to the food supply or to human health in the United States.”

The agency said that the United States has a “negligible risk status” for bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), as the neurologic disease is officially called, and “we do not expect any trade impacts as a result of this finding”.

BSE is linked to the fatal human condition Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease if contaminated meat is eaten.

The atypical variant sporadically occurs in older cattle, while the classic form is spread when farmers feed their herds with the meat and bone meal of infected animals.

The classic form poses more danger to humans.

This is the seventh time BSE has been detected in the United States over the past 20 years and all but one of them have been atypical, officials said.

Carbon-credit Scammer Steps Down Amid Claims That Credits Are Worthless

The CEO of one of the world’s foremost certifiers of so-called carbon credits announced that he will step down. David Antonioli, CEO of the climate-action nonprofit known as Verra announced that he will be leaving his position at the organization in June, although he plans to stay on in a reduced, senior-advisory role.

Antonioli will be replaced by the organization’s current president, Judith Simon. The announcement comes after a recent investigation into the group found that approximately 90 percent of its so-called carbon credits are, essentially, worthless and have no measurable impact on carbon reductions.

Antonioli, the organization’s founding CEO, didn’t mention the worthless carbon credits in the announcement on his LinkedIn page.

“I am immensely proud of what Verra has accomplished and of the incredible team that has made it the world’s leading standard-setter for climate action and sustainable development,” Antonioli wrote.

But the forest carbon offsets approved of and encouraged by Antonioli and Verra have been found to be basically “phantom credits,” having nothing to do with reductions in carbon emissions.

Companies as diverse as Disney, Shell, and Gucci have relied on such credits to boost their ESG scores.

But an investigation done by The Guardian, the German newspaper Die Zeit, and SourceMaterial, a nonproftit investigative journalism group, found that just a few of Verra’s rainforest projects showed any evidence of halting deforestation, which climate alarmists claim is a major factor allowing runaway global warming.

In addition, the investigation found that the threats to rainforests on projects that Verra was issuing carbon credits for were overestimated by 400 percent, according to a 2022 University of Cambridge study.

The investigation also found the projects initiated by Verra had some serious “human rights” abuses associated with them, including forced evictions and destruction of private homes.

It took Britain until the late 1990s to complete the payments to the US for ‘Lend Lease’ reparations for WWII. For that the US paid for a LOT of short term shipping that was mostly ‘cannon fodder’ for the German ‘wolf packs and their mean lifespan was measured in Atlantic crossings that almost always ended up in single figures until they ended up on the bottom of the Atlantis. The other major cost to the Brits was food, steel, and financial instruments from the big 5 US banks, plus around 40 old frigate /destroyer class old WWI ships that were grossly over valued on the block, but the Brits needed them and had no option but to pay for them.

The reasoning of the US was to finally financially destroy a major competitor for global business.

Other factors was the stripping out of British R&D in aircraft carrier design, aircraft manufacture, cryptology and nuclear technology, because the British economy was too weak to advance the better development of these sought after technologies.

There was an open conspiracy between the British and US governments regarding how to blunt the isolationism of the US public. Both the US and Britain knew that the Japanese Imperial Navy would attack the US eventually, especially in the Philippines where the US had serious interests. Pearl Harbour was just a possible outlier but was still a serious target for Japan. Churchill, and if the truth be known Roosevelt as well were if not overjoyed then at least content with the Pearl Harbour attack as it guaranteed the US entry into the war at a reasonably early date. Unlike the US entry into WWI where they were only exposed to 6 months of actual operational exposure, and their equivalent losses were minimal, and their economic gains substantial.

The WWI commanding general in theatre, Pershing, was forced to realise that his troops were very green and the US administration was convinced mainly by the French to fight under command of the 5 Australian Divisions on the Allied Left flank. It was there that the allied Army on the left flank broke through into open country and rolled up the German right and finished the war, in Armistice. The interwar decades were just a short hiatus and due among other factors but mostly ‘war reparations’ from the French on Germany, that war again kicked in again in 1939. Again US Isolationism was strong and yet again US industry smelt allied ‘blood in the waters’ and decided to ‘cash in again’. Initially selling to BOTH sides. Yet again the US secondary intent was to destroy the British Empire economically.

Both the US and UK administrations pandered to the US Isolationists. The Brits because they had no other option and the US because they knew that they would eventually join the war after a potential winner was identified, and in the meantime dollars were to be earned and economic competitors weakened. The US mantra was ‘business is business!’ Both Churchill and Roosevelt knew fully of Japan’s strategic intent, but allowed a serious setback to US Naval strength in the Pacific as a trigger to overcome US Isolationism.

The US actions in the Pacific were enlightening in regard to their post war strategic plans even as early as late 1941. Including the termination of the Pacific War in a series of naval engagements that stopped the Southwards move Japanese Imperial Naval forces, sidelining Australian land forces to wasteful sideshows that could have been bypassed, while the US Marines ensured that the US didn’t share the spoils in the Pacific Theatre with its allies. It even extended to threatening Britain with economic warfare post war over the independent development of the UK nuclear deterrent. That threat by the Truman / Eisenhower / Kennedy Administrations to destroy the UK economically if attempted to transfer British nuclear technology to Australia. The US sidelining Britain and France in 1956 over Suez was the weapon that finally convinced Britain in 1961 to withdraw support for the two partially built Fast Breeder Reactors (Plutonium breeders) at Jervis Bay in Australia.

US nuclear hegemony amongst its allies continued well into the late 1980s / early 1990s when it forced Australian nuclear technology, that manufactured cheap bomb grade fissile material with novel technology, to be shared ONLY with the US and not even with Britain and France the nuclear allies of the US allied nuclear Club. Given US strategic Policy in WWI , WWII and the post war period … with ‘friends ‘ like this who needs enemies. It all comes down to $$$$$$ and power !

Once the UK lost America to revolution, Oz to Federation and NZ to NZ Citizen rather than British Subject it was all over for Empire. Actually the biggest blow to the British Empire was Indian Independence and lawyers (Brit Trained ) named Gandy and Nehru. India’s loss was the final nail in the coffin. Still 250 years as an Empire is not too bad for modern times. The US tried not too hard for 50 years and them tried harder for another 50 . Then it chucked it away over the next 20 years until you guys end up with a cretin as President and a divided nation with corruption dribbling out of every pore.

    That didn’t take long!

The only really lasting win for the British Empire but lasting moral credit….. with a very minor bit part played by the newly minted US Marine Corps and bugger all financial cost …. except for a self imposed 600,000 dead in a civil war. When will you guys start to educate your children so that they recognise a globe of the world and attached history?

I’m still waiting for my millions in family slavery reparations from those North African Muslim Coursaires who took 3 million European slaves for over 150 years from the Greeks, Serbs & Croatians, Italians, Spanish, Cornishmen and Irishmen.
No doubt there is a long line of Slavs standing in line with their hands out as well to the Turks. Hell they’re called Slavs as a nickname for Slaves after all.

    🙂

Tell Newsome in California to go to the Arabs and African slavers as his first point of contact to collect his slave reparations! I hope he’s holding his breath while he’s waiting!

I do believe awhile ago there was a lot of back biting at the State Dept. WHO LOST CHINA!!

These people are SO fucking arrogant. I once had a friend, MJ, from work. Lovely woman, grew up on a farm somewhere in Minnesota or Michigan, some state that starts with an ‘M’.

Married a State Dept. muckety muck. He really was quite knowledgeable, well traveled, interesting. Composed music, played fabulous piano – actually took the first ever piano into Afghanistan. And a TOTAL snob. They lived in a FABULOUS penthouse condo in Rosslyn/Arlington Virginia that overlooked EVERYTHING and had THE BEST July 4th parties. We went every year and watched the fireworks from the balcony.

Until I couldn’t stand it anymore. All their guests were HIS State/diplomatic contacts – except me and Hubby – and I just got fed up with the delight they took in insulting their ‘cultural inferiors’ – people like me and Hubby. After listening to one obese, manicured fop, go on a rant about how Bush started the Iraq war and was too stupid to breathe w/o the intellectual input from the higher beings at State, he made the unfortunate mistake of taking my hand. “My dear, you DO know we are all that’s standing between this country and utter ruin, don’t you? You should have seen the sneer. I said “No, actually what’s standing between this country and utter ruin is a cohort of Marines, Army, and Air Force who are currently in Afghanistan and Iraq killing jihadis. You know – the people who killed two of my neighbors at the Pentagon on 9/11?”

    DEAD. SILENCE.

MJ noticed a disturbance in the force and came over to our group immediately. She looked at the faces and said “Oh, one of you just made the mistake of pissing off Eagle, I see. Carry on”

They all just evaporated and my friend brought me another glass of champagne. “Welcome to my world, darling”. *clink*

    It was a great nite.

But we sent our regrets for the following years’ parties because I was going to punch somebody in the face or toss them off the balcony

The Royal Navy high water mark was 1759-1760.
The “wonderful year” referenced in the first verse of the Brit sea shanty / Royal Navy March ‘Hearts of Oak’ is 1759-60, during which British forces were victorious in several significant battles: the Battle of Lagos on August 19, 1759, the battle of Quebec City on September 13, 1759 (where Lt. James Cook of later Oz fame, starred as navigator supreme on the St Lawrence river below the Quebec forts) and especially the battle of Quiberon Bay off Brittany on 20 November 1759. 21 French capital ships were engaged and driven ashore and 9 were burned when the Royal Navy set 6 fire ships among them and burned them to the waterline. The rest were left broken on the shore. These battles were followed a few months later by the Battle of Wandiwash in India on 22 January 1760. From then until WWI the RN were the premier naval force globally. Why the bloody French wanted to invade Scotland is anyone’s guess. All the Scots produced was great whisky and dodgy haggis!

… and Lt. James Cook navigated the Brit Royal Navy fleet up the St Lawrence in 1759 under the guns of Quebec forts. Good at reading maps, doing smart stuff, like recording the transit of the planet Venus across the face of the sun from Tahiti, determining the orbit of Venus and the distance to the sun, and finding places … like NZ and Australia in 1769 and 1770. Next voyage he sailed across the Antarctic Latitude of 60 South. Tiring of ice he next sailed north and filled in a load of Islands on maps along the way to Hawaii, where he refused to pretend to be ‘a god’ and got his head bashed in for his trouble. At least the Hawaiians did not eat him as well, and he was buried at sea by his crew.

Jane Fonda Blames Men for Climate Change: ‘We Have to Arrest and Jail Those Men’

Hollywood star Jane Fonda made the outrageous claim Friday that climate change is being caused exclusively by men, specifically white men, adding that “those men” must be arrested and jailed.

She also blamed the “patriarchy” and “racism” for global warming.

Speaking at a career retrospective at the Cannes Film Festival in France, Jane Fonda promoted her radical climate activism efforts, saying the world has “about seven, eight years” to cut fossil fuel consumption in half.

She also said “poor people of color” as well as populations in the southern hemisphere will be hit hardest by global warming.

“It is a tragedy that we have to absolutely stop. We have to arrest and jail those men — they’re all men,” she added, according to a Deadline report.

This email is making the rounds as exemplary of how to behave.

I appreciate the goal of mutual respect and creating a welcoming environment for everyone. My desire is to be respectful of everyone. The expectation to display my pronouns asks me to accept a premise that I can’t accept—namely, that my pronouns could be different than he/him. It’s an ontological claim about the nature of reality, and I hold a different view. I’m not asking those that are transgender to accept my view of reality, but I’m being asked to accept theirs.

I can live and work with respect toward anyone with differing beliefs than my own, including my transgender coworkers. Can I be respected in my beliefs that differ on the nature of gender and identity while affirming the dignity of every person?

    https://instapundit.com/586862/

No, actually, it is not. ‘Affirming the dignity’ of the mentally ill is not ‘respect’, it’s allowing the illness to flourish like kudzu. There is zero dignity to demanding mutilation of genitalia in the service of a socially contagious cult.

While I was in grad school, I worked overnight security at Paul Allen’s property in Santa Fe. Our office ended up with a temporary contract at Jane Fonda’s place in Pecos while they were doing some construction on site. Since it was a short term thing, they basically staffed it using volunteers working overtime, rather than hiring extra staff.

They had the worst time getting anyone to work there, even though the money was excellent. Most people refused to go back after working one or two shifts. I never worked there myself, but from what I was told, she was a nightmare. She’s apparently hated by the locals, too.

She has Daddy issues. Her mother committed suicide and from what I’ve gathered over the years, she’s blamed her father, Henry Fonda. “On Golden Pond” was supposedly a ‘reconciliation’ move but in fact it was all PR. It is true her father was a callous SOB and her mother was ill, but applying what she thinks she’s learned about her own family dynamic has done nothing but given her fuel for her own narcissism. She NEEDS a target for hate wherever she finds it and she will use it to bolster her public image to garner the narcissitic fuel.

Jane Fonda is what Meghan Markle would be if Markle had any talent as an actress.

I do believe one of the Rockefeller sons is thought to have provided a meal or two for some of them in some God-forsaken hell hole he tried to ‘civilize’.

The noble savage really is bullshit. Rockefeller junior some time in the early 1960s was sailing a trimaran in the Gulf of Carpentaria between New Guinea and Northern Oz when they ran into a cyclone and got dismasted. After discovering that their radio was full of water they jury rigged what was left of the mast and were doing about 2-3 knots. They sailed with the westerly wind until they got to within 2 miles of the Papua New Guinea shore but seemed not to be getting any closer so Rockefeller decided to strap two red empty jerry-cans together as waterings and paddle to shore to raise the alarm and jack up a rescue.

He made it the 2 miles through shark infested waters then walked through 2 miles of swamp infested by huge 16 foot salt water (Salties) crocodiles and finally found a village near the entrance of the Fly River in Papua New Guinea. He wandered into the village and asked the Kuka-Kuka locals if they had a radio of could take him up river to the nearest civilisation. Nope.

Instead they clubbed him split him open filled him with hot rocks and placed him in an earth over and cooked him. They all ATE HIM! Kuka Kuka are notorious cannibals and file their teeth of make them sharp to bite off chunks of meat. I know all about Kuka-Kuka as I flew 4 of them from Aitupe on the North Coast where they were visiting to Telefomin in the Star Mountains where we met another aircraft that transported them back to the Fly River. They had been locked up for 2 years for tribal cannibalism and loved every minute of their jail time… 3 squares a day. just 4 hours work 5 days a week and basketball games everyday. They were short (about 4’10” and fairly thin and looked like they needed feeding up!) Needless to say I insisted that they put all of their clubs and knives in the plane’s belly pod! I also had 2 local cops sitting down the back with loaded .303 rifles ….just in case??? These Kuka Kuka were just fine and all smiled and said ‘ uppy noon’ (good afternoon ) as they climbed aboard I had one sitting beside me and they other three sitting behind me with the two cops in the back seats.

This was about 10 years after the Rockefeller incident …. a most expensive meal ever eaten…. and the details had eventually leaked out and were reported in US papers. I was flying as a bush pilot in a Mission Station at Vanimo in New Guinea in 1970-71, as well as working as a Platoon Commander with Paul New Guinea Volunteer Rifles, commanding 40 wild Sepik River warriors. Great guys and they looked after me and I took good care of them all. They were however VERY careful when dealing with ANY Kuka-Kuka they happened across because they told me that they were all cannibals and all had the human equivalent of Mad Cow disease, due to their consumption of the brains of their victims.

She was utterly paranoid. I was team lead so I was the one who had to teach/guide. Understand, this woman’s IQ was impressive. She was no dummy. She did very well in the beginning because it was memorizing rules that had already been established. BUT. When it came time to see how she solved problems and how CREATIVE she could be – she froze. As far as she was concerned, I was supposed to TELL her what to do and she was supposed to do it. Asking her to create was a red flag for her because she thought I was setting her up for breaking the rules. Also on my team was a woman from Kiev who had lived most of her life under the USSR. She had been an electrical engineer. I went to her for help. Her name is Yeva. I had seen this kind of cultural mistrust in people from that part of the world before. If you have an office with a window you were one of the corrupt big shots kind of thing. Yeva came back with “It’s a no-go”. She thinks I’m spying for the USSR”.

I can’t promote this woman if she can’t/won’t work on her own. I can’t even get her thru the probationary period (3 months). So, I call MY boss. Oddly enough, SHE had just got a call from HR. It destroys and warps people in wicked ways. How many times does it take for a rabid communist standing against a wall, in front of a firing squad to utter the words ….” but why/ I am a good communist. I don’t understand”. BANG

The answer that they can’t assimilate and what doesn’t compute is … the maintenance of TERROR as a mechanism for controlling people enmass. Logic and guilt are irrelevant in authoritarian regimes. It’s the maintenance of the LIE and the TERROR that ensures compliance. Truth never comes into it, and their reality is just a moving feast of lies. The whole shebang is based on lies so don’t waste your time trying the get to the truth of the matter. That is a blind lane that leads nowhere. Eventually it comes down to the leftists being run down by the Truth and reality. Only they can cure themselves of this deadly delusion.

    @ Bunk Five Hawks X:
Mrs. AI and my self have had a few surprises pop up down at the beach. I finally phones the Diocesan Exorcist Fr. R today because Mrs. AI has had a couple of ‘visitors’ that seem to have been stirred up with all of the building work that’s been going on at our holiday home ‘on the beach’.

2 weeks ago Mrs. AI saw a tall guy standing outside the bedroom window with yellow glowing eyes and then last Thursday she woke up with a guy about 50 years old with bushy ginger hair laying on our bed beside her. I was in Auckland at the time. Mrs. AI told him to ‘bugger off’ and he took about 3 seconds to dissolve. NOW the builders have found a gravestone under our deck right where they are digging a footing. Of course the Police will have to investigate but in the meantime we’ll work around the site and get it blessed. Our Diocesan Exorcist said that it sounds like a disturbed spiritual presence or presences are about and the place needs to be blessed because will find out whether or not we have stumbled onto an old Maori graveyard or possibly a colonial period graveyard. Currently the consensus is that we have a few disturbed spiritual presences that need prayers for them and the strong suggestion that they should be ‘At Peace’ and to Move On’!

This stuff is not thumps in the night sort of thing. It’s 3D type presences in technicolour that eventually evaporate. Fr. R suggested that the site should be blessed and it sounds as if these presences are just disturbed and just need to be told to ‘be at peace and move on’ and some prayers said for them. The builders are a wee bit twitchy and are giving the site of the newly discovered gravestone a wide birth. We’ll get the Police involved as well after the site has been blessed. Fr R opined that there was no obvious need for any form of Exorcism and we seem to be dealing with a few disturbed entities who need to be told to move on.

    Interesting ehhh?

My grandma was very fey as was my mum and also is my daughter. I too seem to have inherited a wee bit of sensitivity and Fr. R the Diocesan Exorcist said that sensitive types to this sort of thing seem to attract disturbed souls.Lucky ehhhh? NOT!

    Update on living here.

And this time I cannot really make sense of it! Going to need to talk to more of my street friends next time I see them at the store.

Seems like last night someone stole a truck that belonged to a white guy, but one of the street people. So the street people went looking for it!

First reports say about one hundred were involved in the search. I doubt that number, but I really do not know who or what comes out of the shadows here at night.

My informant Nikki told me this at 7pm tonight, she looked really tired. She did not sleep at all last night. She was out looking.

Anyway, it seems they found the truck and who stole it and the comment was, ” Next time he does that he will be full of holes! ”

To get all that information only cost me a left handed Twix ice cream bar.

Nikki is left handed. I know things….

Famous singer Jewel sang the national anthem at the Indy 500 on Sunday, and the internet is roaring louder than the engines.

Jewel immediately created a divided audience with her rendition of the anthem, with fans either touting the artist for nailing it with such a gutsy performance, or wailing at her for butchering an anthem she had no business changing. The majority are upset at the star for slowing down the song, rearranging the lyrics and adding a soulful spin.

Another multi cultural experience on my way to the store. A group of men were all sitting having a nice cold beer as I passed them while crawling through the hole in the fence of my now gated community.

I knew three of them. One speaks good English, one not so much and the third no English but the others translate. We talked about the weather, a neutral subject to bond with, and the fact that the hole in the fence was not quite big enough for tall or plump people.

There was a forth man there that I had never seen before who was tall and I jokingly said and mimed ” we need a bigger hole in the fence! That is your job”

The other three laughed and said ” He does not speak English ” so I said ” well you can translate ”

    The punch line….

They said ” He does not speak good Spanish either! He is Indian ”

I was just about to make some smart ass comment about him liking curry when they informed me ” He is from Colorado ”

We are diverse here at the store and in the apartment complex parking lot!

    Fey = Spiritually sensitive.
    Welp.
I must be too as I always tend to know when ‘ghosts’ ‘dead people’ are still hanging around. Example. When hubby & I were looking to rent a home decades ago I asked him to query the owner whether anyone had died in the home because my radar went off while walking around the house. He refused which turned out to be a good thing because the first evening we moved in, he went next door to the neighbors house & came back with a freaked out face & said that the owner’s mother had died in the house. I calmly replied “yeah, well, she’s still here”. FYI..kids can see/sense ghosts. My son, who was a toddler at the time kept blabbing to someone he called ‘Grammy Gaddy”. The person who died in the house was named ‘Gladys’.

My mother showed up for about 7 years after she died. Until her first great grand child was born. I when I say SHOWED UP I mean I could see her and hear her and one time she smacked me on the head and yelled my niece’s name (who was pregnant w/her first). I called my sister and told her to check. She said “Mom showed up?” Yep. She checked, said everything was fine. I got an email the next morning she wrote at 4 am. In her car on the way to the hospital. 8 hrs later Cy came into the world.

6 mos. earlier when my sister called me to tell me she was about to be a grandmother, my mother actually APPEARED. Laughing and laughing. Sister sez “Is that MOM?” Yep.

And Mom said “It’s a BOY”!

Sister sez “A boy?” Yes, she heard it too.

She showed up one more time after that to convey a wish from my father. Who for some reason never tried to make contact. Or couldn’t.

The FIRST time she showed up was 15 months after she passed – and she brought the whole fam damily with her. It was brutal. I cried for days.

Some people may think it’s great I had Mom with me for so long. They don’t realize that every time she showed up I had to say goodbye AGAIN once she was done with whatever she had come to do. I think over 7 years that was about 12 times. Wrenching.

Off to the beach-house today to have a look at this headstone that has turned up under our deck where footings are being dug …. (we’re being dug … as the builders are being a bit ‘careful’. Getting the site blessed and hopefully that should put paid to the ‘disturbances’ and the ‘visitors’!
    🙂

If the site looks to be the real McCoy then we’ll arrange the religious side of the affair with the local Catholic and Anglican priests (he’s Maori and is very knowledgeable about local history) and then get the cops involved if and when any graves are discovered. Hopefully then we can get the steel span beams installed and the footings completed and the ‘visitors’ will have decamped to wherever they are going to go.

Not particularly scary but moderately interesting.

    🙂

The Catholic Diocesan of Auckland Exorcist seems to think that that should do the trick and a full on exorcism should not be needed to get rid of these ‘ wandering enteritis’ . I trust he is correct in his long range assessment.

    🙂

    174 | May 30, 2023 5:36 pm

    @ eaglesoars:
Interestingly the Catholic Exorcist said the 99% of the time folks who ‘turn up’ do so because they just don’t want to move on. His professional view is that human willpower doesn’t just disappear and if they really don’t want to go for whatever reason they can decide to hang about for whatever reason. They need to be told that it’s time to move on and that they will be prayed for and remembered. The nasty side is really rare thank goodness and almost always blessing a site and praying for them fixes the problem.

The physical side will involve the cops if human remains are discovered . It could be old Maori or colonial remains or even be a potential murder victim, so the cops will get to strut their stuff as well if it looks like that is one of the scenarios.

I’m on my way down to the site now. I’ll let you know what I discover.

New DHS Memo Warns of Heightened Threat of Terror Attacks Through 2024 Election Season

The United States faces a heightened risk of terror attacks from now through the 2024 election cycle, according to a new memo from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The DHS issued a new National Terrorism Advisory Bulletin (pdf) on May 24 stating “perceptions of the 2024 general election cycle and legislative or judicial decisions pertaining to sociopolitical issues” could “mobilize individuals to commit violence.”

The DHS bulletin states likely targets for attacks include law enforcement, government facilities, critical infrastructure, faith-based institutions and “individuals or events associated with the LGBTQIA+ community.” The bulletin states these threats come from extremists associated with foreign terrorist organizations as well as domestic violent extremists motivated by a range of ideological beliefs.

DHS said it’s working with the FBI and a variety of additional federal partners and programs in an effort to identify threats and inform security planners. The bulletin also lists resources for faith-based organizations, community organizations, schools, and other potential targets to prepare against attacks.

The heightened terrorism alert will remain in effect until Nov. 24, 2024.

Last night I seasoned one pound of chicken breasts with garlic and herbs. Placed them in the slow cooker on medium for about an hour. Then added a 12oz bag of frozen cauliflower and sprinkled the top with grated parmesan cheese and on went the lid. About four more hours should do the trick.

When it was all cooked thought ” Great! now I have supper for tonight and tomorrow and the next day ”

Scientists generate ‘electricity from thin air.’ Humidity could be a boundless source of energy, they say.

v“The air contains an enormous amount of electricity,” said Jun Yao, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and the paper’s senior author. “Think of a cloud, which is nothing more than a mass of water droplets. Each of those droplets contains a charge, and when conditions are right, the cloud can produce a lightning bolt – but we don’t know how to reliably capture electricity from lightning.

“What we’ve done is to create a human-built, small-scale cloud that produces electricity for us predictably and continuously so that we can harvest it.”

The heart of the human-made cloud depends on what Yao and his colleagues refer to as an air-powered generator, or the “air-gen” effect.

After 184 days, our deck should be finished today or tomorrow. They just need to put the treads on (stringers were done yesterday), about 4 sections of railing on the deck, the handrail, and a small built in table where we can stick drinks or condiments or whatever. Then there are 2-3 places they need to clean up and we’ll be set.

What a damn frustrating situation. One of the guys said he was almost tempted to recommend just tearing the whole thing out and starting over. Bunch of incompetent idiots.

It looks SO much better than the old deck though, and I think better than I expected or hoped.

Project Veritas Sues Founder James O’Keefe

Project Veritas on May 31 sued its founder James O’Keefe following his ouster from the journalism group.

O’Keefe breached his contract by starting a rival group while still employed by Project Veritas, the organization said in the 37-page lawsuit, filed in U.S. court in New York.

O’Keefe formed the O’Keefe Media Group (OMG) on Feb. 17 despite not having been terminated yet, the suit says. O’Keefe also falsely said on multiple occasions that he was fired despite still being employed, albeit suspended, by Project Veritas, according to the filing.

O’Keefe is also accused of violating his contract by contacting Project Veritas donors and soliciting Project Veritas workers to come work for him at his new organization.

One message allegedly sent to donors said in part, “Hey there, I know you’ve been a supporter of my work in the last year,” with a link to an OMG webpage asking for paid subscriptions.

At least two employees accepted O’Keefe’s offer. R.C. Maxwell and Anthony Iatropoulos, the pair, were also named as defendants in the suit. Maxwell and Iatropoulos violated their employment agreements by joining OMG and appearing to use Project Veritas property while doing so, Project Veritas alleges.

Project Veritas is asking the court to quickly issue an order in its favor.

“If this Court does not preliminarily enjoin O’Keefe and OMG from soliciting Project Veritas’s donors and employees, they may have solicited them all by the time Project Veritas wins a judgment prohibiting them from such solicitation,” the filing states.

O’Keefe and Maxwell did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Iatropoulos could not be reached.

THE U.S. AIR FORCE AND MIT SUCCESSFULLY FLY AIRCRAFT USING “JAM-PROOF” AI-ENHANCED MAGNETIC NAVIGATION

In a first for the U.S. Department of Defense, researchers at the Air Force Research Labs (AFRL) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have successfully demonstrated the capabilities of AI-enhanced magnetic navigation called MagNav.

The cutting-edge technology, which uses variations in the Earth’s magnetic field to navigate, is difficult to jam or spoof, making it a necessary tool for the Air Force. The success of MagNav is potentially the first critical step toward implementing the system across a number of military and civilian platforms, including aircraft, submarines, drones, and even hypersonic glide vehicles.

    > Microbiologist Kevin McKernan — a former researcher and team leader for the MIT Human Genome project — has discovered massive DNA contamination in the mRNA COVID shots, including simian virus 40 (SV40) promoters

    > SV40 has been linked to cancer in humans, including mesotheliomas, lymphomas and cancers of the brain and bone. In 2002, the Lancet published evidence linking polio vaccines contaminated with SV40 to Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. According to the authors, the vaccine may be responsible for up to 50% of the 55,000 Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma cases diagnosed each year

    > The level of contamination varies depending on the platform used to measure it, but no matter which method is used, the level of DNA contamination is significantly higher than the regulatory limits in both Europe and the U.S. The highest level of DNA contamination found was 30%

    > The finding of DNA means the mRNA COVID shots may have the ability to alter the human genome

    Back from the ‘beach house’!

We live in interesting times 🙂

Mrs. AI had two ‘visitors’ earlier this week and a few days before that. The first was a guy standing beside her bad after she got up to have a pee at 0230 last week. Just a dark shape with a defined head and two day-go type coloured ‘eyes’ in his orbitals. She told him in no undertrained terms that he was not welcome and to leave. He faded almost immediately. About Wednesday morning at 0320 she was tossing and turning and discovered a guy standing up on what would have been ground level but sticking through the bed from his belt upwards. Looked European about 50 with wild bushy ginger hair. Mrs. AI told him to get lost as well and he too evaporated. The guys putting in the steel beams were digging footings and stumbled over a knuckle bone and a small piece of material. About 3 metres away in another footing hole was a human long bone. Work stopped and I got a hold of the RC Diocesan Exorcist from Auckland to find out how to manage this. He said that we’d disturbed a couple of souls and an exorcism would almost certainly NOT be required, and just telling them to “be at Peace and to move on” would probably be sufficient and to have the Local RC parish priest to come bless the site where the two sets of human remains were found. I also invited the Anglican Pastor who I know really well and who is Maori, to visit as well. He belongs to the Hapu who owns the Pa (earth fort) site up the hill and is the go to man when it comes to local history. These two missed each other by 15 minutes so we has a double ‘doing’ with prayers and blessings with Holy Water. The Anglican pastor used RC holy water from a mate of his from the Vatican when he was in Rome last year. The RC Catholic priest made his own! 🙂

What we thought was a Head Stone near these two graves under the deck was identified as more likely a Memorial stone given the quality of the marble and the really beautiful carving of flowers, an anchor on its side (at Rest) and an intricate rope design. We have only excavated about the top third and have only read a bit of the Maori words carved so far. We should get the rest out of our footing next Tuesday so that will hopefully have a ship’s name and a date to allow us to do a historical search for ship wrecks along our coast. The local detective Sergeant from Thames was not interested as there had been no unsolved murders and it was a well known Maori colonial era site with multiple graves in dispersed groups of twos and threes dotted all over the place, especially overlooking the beach.

Local council also knows and the TCDC (council) Maori Liaison officer called this morning and will lease with the Maori Anglican pastor and another Maori ‘Kaimanua’ to arrange to lift the bones and deposit them in the local Pa site. Perhaps THEN we can finish digging our supporting piles for the steel beam holding the front end of the house!

    🙂

Spent 3 nights with Mrs. AI and had absolutely no trouble and the pair of ‘pissed off’ enteritis seem to have moved on. I’d have been a little upset myself, by having some idiot tip my remembrance memorial for my shipwreck onto its face back in the 1950s and then use the stone as a base for a concrete pier for a deck. By next week we should have the rest of the Memorial stone out of the ground and joined up with the bits of the stone that have been pieced back together again. Should have a lot more information about the reason for this remembrance stone. We’ll get it put back together and gifted to St. Georges Cathedral church in Thames, because the local Hapu and Iwi gifted the land to the church, hospital and Police Station back in the 1850s when Thames was in the middle of its gold rush and harvesting Kauri timber for the spars for the Royal Navy!

    Been quite a week!

    🙂

The aviation and marine industries have been using Inertial Nav for 30 years with regular updates from other nav devices to correct for inertial ‘drift’, but GPS is so accurate that INS has fallen into disuse somewhat. A Kiwi named Kevin Parkinson did his PhD at CalTec and de-dithered the original civilian GPS signals using some very clever feed back technology, much to the chagrin of the Pentagon, making the civilian GPS as accurate as the military versions. Once that ‘cat was out of the bag’ the Pentagon un-dithered civilian GPS signals and that made GPS truly available to all users and caused the technology to be so user friendly that it became ubiquitous, and EVERYONE depended on GPS.Kev also designed the control mechanism for the first Mars Rovers from NASA, that had a digging scoop. Instead of using mechanically twitchy mechanisms and having to use moog valves, he just used his high speed feedback tech and common hydraulic systems that were robust . Smart guy, Married to my best interrogator who ended up a Brigadier General. She was even smarted than him!

Remember I posted that link about harvesting energy out of water molecules in the air? Just got something from a friend that is another SRSLY? think. She specializes in begonias

I ran across something called electroculture a few weeks back and decided I had to try it for myself, see if there’s anything to this. Simply put, it harnesses the energy from the air and the ground and directs it to the plant. Homesteaders are doing this to increase crop production, etc. Sounds kinda woo-woo but like I said, I was going to see for myself. HA! Did it ever make a believer out of me! I wouldn’t have believed if it if I didn’t see the results with my own eyes.

What you do is, you take a thin dowel (4′) and wrap copper wiring around it, leaving about a 6″ copper wire extension – antenna – at the top. You stick it in the plant.

I did this in 2 of my plants that I have grown generations of, for at least 20 years, so I am very familiar with their growth pattern. Within the space of 2-3 weeks, their growth output has far surpassed anything I’ve ever seen. I am actually gobsmacked about this

Judge Howe Brown said Scott Smith saying the word “bitch” to a leftist activist who was allegedly taunting him about his daughter’s rape was sufficient for the government to take him to trial on charges of disorderly conduct.
    .
    .
and the judge ruled that under the “peculiar” language of Virginia’s disorderly conduct statute, Smith arguably committed disorderly conduct by cursing at a woman because it could “incite” her to violence—even though that interpretation would seemingly mean the leftist activist was guilty of the same crime.

“She said ‘I’m going to ruin your business.’ [The police officer] says Mr. Smith leaned in, had a clenched fist [by his waist], and called her a bitch.

We have a really good rep in the House, Tim Burchett. He was on Bannon today. One of the stories he told: Who killed JFK. Remember James Jesus Angleton, the CIA’s ‘master spy hunter’? He was having lunch with Gary Hart. Hart asked him if the CIA had any part in JFK’s assassination. Angleton sez “You were a theology major, right?” Hart said yes. Angleton: “In my Father’s house, there are many mansions”.

But most of the conversation was about UFOs. Burchett sits on the committee trying to figure out what’s going on AND HE IS PISSED. They’re withholding docs, editing film, keeping people from testifying, blah blah blah. They have quite a bit of physical evidence. The issue is they’re afraid if they admitted it, people would lose their shit and chaos wouldn’t be far behind.

A reasonable fear, I should think. People would probably expect their gov’ts to DO SOMETHING. But, like what exactly? Invite them over for hot dogs and beers and trade tech talk?

For the UFO part I served with people that were part of the The Rendlesham Forest incident. They said it was exactly as told, unknown and mysterious.

Yesterday we pointed out something stunning (and a big problem for the Biden administration): while the US economy has added 3.3 million jobs from the pre-covid highs (make that 3.8 million after today’s blowout print)…

… all of the new jobs have gone to foreign-born workers, with native-born workers stagnating and unable to surpass their pre-covid highs of 131.7 million, set in Oct 2019.

Well, what I hear from all the people I’ve hired to help me put this house together, from plumbers to landscapers to general handymen – they can’t FIND people to work. Our plumber was looking for an apprentice. Made interview appointments with 13 applicants, allotted 30 mins each at a local Starbucks. Guess how many showed up? ZERO.

My Local RSA (Returned Services Association) allowed the first and second Invictus teams from NZ to actually get off the ground, and compete. Dealing with Harry was hard enough but what we didn’t know was that the VP who actually led the Kiwi delegation was creaming it and was using the gigs to feather his next job. He totally foxed our executive and when he thought it was time to ‘unmask’ and cash in he had suddenly turned into a grasping elitist arsewipe. Fortunately he mis-timed his claw to the top and our ‘little -olde’ branch executive rolled him and put one of ours(a famous national figure) in as National President and the two VPs. These elitist self serving arsewipes are now attempting to destroy one of our joint VPs. He’s a retired Rear Admiral and was elected fair and square but this group of former military elitists are trying to gas-light him. The second Invictus Harry was a totally different man. We had no idea but in hindsight it was Megan already in the background twisting Harry to her will. Harry is a weak guy who has changed totally and nobody in the teams of athletes will have anything to do with him now.

I wouldn’t trust a company like Netflix as far as I could kick them. Totally and I really mean TOTALLY fixated on $$$$$ and in the bag for the whole elitist one world revolution / WEF / Davos crew.

Trying to move 200 nautical miles in 28 seconds, change direction 180 degrees instantaneously and be on my radar as well as Auckland’s radar simultaneously as well as just missing our aircraft, and not making any Mach shock wave while crossing the 3 Nm between us in about 1.5 seconds. and averaging 26,000 Nm/hour or Mach 40+ leaving the atmosphere. Try that for visual and radar tracking! Oh and try pulling a 500G instant turn and not ending up as a smear on your rear bulkhead small grey!

    🙂

I was there watching the whole thing and it was my calls and my radar when our aircraft were playing with ET for those 8 minutes and it was my timer that recorded Auckland’s radar tracking those 28 seconds crossing 2000 Nm and it was my calculations working out the velocity, acceleration distance and timing of our ‘bogey’

One of his former protection officers tells a story that Harry loved to ride his bike into the back of the legs of anybody who crossed his path.

It is now taken as a given that Harry is mentally ill. Also not very bright, which leaves him with minimal resources to make adult choices. There has been some speculation that at least some of his problems may trace to damage done while Diana was carrying him. It was then that she suffered from bulimia and people have wondered if that damaged Harry.

    oof!

US residential home values have declined modestly since their 2022 peak, reflecting higher mortgage interest rates. But residential values have plunged in San Francisco, falling by about 16.7%, compared to a decline of just 3.3% in the rest of the country, a difference of about 13.4 percentage points. San Francisco’s housing stock was valued at nearly $2 trillion by real estate valuation firm Zillow before the price plunge. This additional 13.4 percentage-point drop means that San Franciscans have lost an extra $260 billion more in residential real estate value than it would have had it kept pace with the rest of the country.
San Francisco’s housing price decline reflects the fact that the city has lost more than 65,000 residents, roughly 7.5% of its population. San Francisco’s population loss has been the largest among all major cities in recent years.

Departing San Franciscans have on average represented households of very high income. Between 2019 and 2021, San Francisco lost nearly $15 billion of household income, even after accounting for those who moved into the city. Taxpayers who filed 2019 tax returns from San Francisco and 2021 returns from a new location reported an average annual adjusted gross income (AGI) to the IRS of nearly $196,000 per household.

Used to do a LOT of aerobatics just for the heck of it. Mrs. AI when she was a Miss and I went on our second date and did aerobatics in a Beagle Pup airplane that was stressed to 12 G positive and minus 3G negative. In other words it was pretty indestructible. I was showing off as I thought that she’d like to experience zero G and float around the cockpit for 30 seconds at a time. She didn’t but seemed to like me so didn’t say anything. She emerged from her flat to see a Porsche and a sports Merc parked and smiled as she liked both cars. She had overlooked my Honda 90 step through parked between them. Gave her a helmet and said climb on. That wiped the smile off her face. I grant her that she didn’t complain but after the 5th spin she looked a little grey. When she was floating about while the plane was doing zero G parabolas I kept telling her to keep her eyes open as she’d ‘enjoy’ it more! Finally her grey face and gritted teeth suddenly alerted me to the fact that she may NOT enjoying it as much as I was enjoying it. Landed and she opened the door, rolled onto the wing hanged her head over the leading edge and was violently sick onto the ground. Now that impressed me a lot as she hadn’t thrown up in my plane and over me! Riding back to her flat she was still looking very sick so I pulled my Honda over at a chemist shop and asked the chemist for something to stop violent vomiting. He asked if the girl was pregnant? I said ” I have no idea… are you pregnant?” Yes I was that thick!

Didn’t phone her for a couple of weeks as I thought that she’d hate me forever but she agreed to go out with me again and 50 years later we are still married! 🙂

    @ eaglesoars:
More than minus 1.5 Gs and you would begin to ‘Red-Out’ and the micro blood vessels in the whites of your eyes would burst and you’d have ‘Red-Eye’ for weeks. Positive G is much easier. Without wearing a G – suite you would begin to get ‘tunnel vision’ around 4 G as you began to ‘grey out’ and it felt as if you were looking down a long grey tunnel as you progressively lost peripheral vision. By 5 G mostly you’d sudden’y ‘black out’ and as soon as you let go of the control stick you’d wake up, usually in some crazy attitude. Roll the wings level and gently pull out of the dive. With a G suit you could last up to 8 G for extended periods without blacking out as the suit had air bladders that expanded trapping blood around your waist and legs and keeping it in the top half of your body, because starved of blood the brain doesn’t stay conscious very long.

There were tactics to trap blood in the top half of the body when you are right on the edge of blacking out. Instantaneous massive G is just fine and you can pull huge Gs for a fraction of a second, with no problems. Blood inertia is your friend as well. The fitter you are and the more oxygenated your blood the longer that you can hold onto consciousness for that wee bit longer and pull just that little bit more G.

    🙂

It is DEFINITELY not a way to impress your best girl however!

    🙂

That is a crappy idea if you are a small state in the number of voters. Lightly populated states would be forever dominated by states with large populations and sparsely populated states would totally lose their power to a few massively populated states. About then the lightly populated states would ‘cry uncle’ and seek to leave the Union one way or the other.

People haven’t forgotten 9/11. And they certainly don’t trust the current gov’t to keep them safe.

I grew up w/sonic booms because there was a SAC base outside Pittsburgh somewhere. Used to love them. But that was during the cold war and those training exercises aren’t so common anymore – many people have never heard one and have nothing to compare it to – except the plane hitting the Pentagon.

In other Brit news, that entitled prat, Harry, failed to show up for his court case today (he’s suing a newspaper group for some kind of invasion of privacy thing. There are 3 other plaintiffs in the case, Elizabeth Hurley being one).

His legal team said Harry is ‘in a different category’ because of his ‘travel and security arrangements’, so he couldn’t make it back from Los Angeles where he had returned to celebrate the mythical Lilibet’s 2nd birthday.

2 theories: First, he tried to knock a day off his time on the stand by being too late to testify on schedule, or second, he had one gawdawful hangover and couldn’t get his as out of bed.

The court wasn’t having it and granted the newspaper group its full time.

Lindsay Lohan didn’t show up one day for a case she brought against a stalker. The court said “We don’t play” and threw her case out.
