We're not easily offended and don't want people to think they have to walk on eggshells around here (like at another place that shall remain nameless) but of course, there is a limit to everything.
Play nice!

The IRA used to train with the PLO. In other words, they clutched a viper to their bosom and the viper did what vipers do.

I thought you were busy working 48 hour shifts or something. Old oaken buckets are probably more important.

A cooking post.
Finally unboxed the air fryer that arrived a week ago. Took it for a test drive with a fifteen ounce Mary Colander pot pie.
as anything a master chef such as I am has to do is get to know the tools, learn to become one with the appliance and enter a state of harmony.
Top crust was done to perfection, bottom crust under cooked and filling only Luke warm.
So next attempt will e take pie out of its tray, place upside down on foil, blast it at four hundred F for about ten minutes to cook the base crust while leaving the inside of the pie still frozen.
Next put the pie back in its microwavable dish and microwave it for five minutes to heat the filling.
Then back into air fryer at four hundred for fifteen minutes to brown the top crust.
I got this….

One thing Britain got right and America fucked up.
In Britain there is ONLY one time zone. None of this eastern, central, mountain, Rockies, Indian reservations, pacific shit.
United States of America not even united as to what time it is.
@ Possum:
Totally unrelated to cooking you may all be wondering why I am spelling out numbers instead of using the numeric keypad on my keyboard or the top row of number buttons on the other part of the keyboard.
It appears due to some mystical thing that when a cat pisses on your keyboard on the numbery thing on the right side it also takes out the numbery keys at the top.
But I do not want to burden anyone with my tiny problems.
And peace and quiet in here as I hoped for.
Oh as a bonus. I woke up the Boiler Room Crew and the insults and derogatory slurs aimed at met his past week were recycled attacks on other people.
It seems a nasty asshole who inhabits insta pundit found a new place to infest.

We need to get rid of this clock changing bullshit

I agree.

The wonders of late ’70s emission controls.
The aluminum 5.0 in my F-150 puts out 385 horsepower by comparison.

Pimp mobile.
If I drive it less than 5k a year, I can un-fuck that excellent motor

I drive my miata less than 5k…the track mods are permanent now

And that’s totally stock. It’s actually nearly identical to the engine in the Mustang GT aside from the exhaust system and the computer programming.
I could push it over 450 without opening the engine.
@ lobo91:
What kills me is my ‘dad wagon’ buick xtour with a 2l turbo and 8 speed is sooooo much faster than my olde fox body 86 mustang gt.
Verily. I am saddened.
I miss my 84gti, don’t miss my MG, miss my 77 bronco…lifted, top off, 3 speed, 351 Windsor.
If I could, I’d have the gti and bronco and miata in the garage. That would be my perfect garage (that I could afford)
@ coldwarrior:
I’m thinking about picking up a project car of some sort, just for something to do. Maybe an older Jeep or something.

Not surprising, considering that the UK could fit into the Central Time Zone with enough room left over for several more states. OTOH, somehow China gets away with one.

Bunkessa is almost as tall as I am, and she calls the missus’ Miata “The Clown Car.” The only other car tougher to get in or out of is a Lotus, but that’s a 2-door skateboard with head clearance below the collar line.
I thought the ukies were winning….
