I don’t know what ‘Manosphere’ is but whatever….

The first NGO we found in this network was Diverting Hate, an anti-Manosphere NGO working to roll out a tool on Twitter to divert audiences away from wrongspeak creators towards curated websites and podcasts affiliated with the US government. DHS gave them $700k for this.

The appeals court said Osorio-Arellanes had confessed to “essential elements” of the U.S. government’s case against him while being interrogated in a Mexico City prison.

On appeal, he argued that he was entitled to a new trial because his confession was taken in violation of his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination, as well as his Sixth Amendment right to effective assistance of counsel. He also argued that he did not have a fair trial, and his attorney said he is illiterate and didn’t understand the proceedings.

The FBI Deputy Director tasked with investigating the attempted assassination of President Trump is directly compromised by the same Islamic jihadists who are threatening to kill Trump.

    Deputy FBI
    @FBI
Director Paul Abbate, the lead investigator of the Trump assassination attempt, has given his hugging endorsement of the Top Jihadi Mosque in the US – Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center, which is located in Fairfax, Virginia just 6 MILES AWAY FROM THE WHITE HOUSE.

This is the same mosque funded by mega donor billionaire, HAMAS co-founder, current Israeli hostage negotiator, and Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGT) Mousa Abu Marzook. The Imam of Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center was SDGT Anwar al-Awlaki, who was killed by a drone strike.

As we know, HAMAS is a proxy of Iran, and Iran has been threatening to assassinate President Trump.

Other notorious MEMBERS AND ASSOCIATES of Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center include the infamous “Underwear Bomber” Umar Farook, “Times Square Bomber” Faisal Shazard, Fort Hood terrorist Major Nidal Hasan, convicted mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center (WTC) bombing “The Blind Sheik”, and 2 (two) 9/11 hijackers – plus many many more.

Watch how Paul Abbate of the FBI unbelievably says, it is an “honor to stand” with this Mosque, how grateful he is for the “partnership” this mosque has with the FBI, how their “diversity and inclusion relationship” has increased over the years, and how, “the FBI is hiring right now and we need you.”

THIS IS THE SAME PAUL ABBATE WHO IS IN CHARGE OF INVESTIGATING THE ATTEMPTED ASSASSINATION OF PRESIDENT TRUMP!

Why is Paul Abbate 2nd in command of the FBI and leading the investigation of the assassination attempt of President Trump? And why is he trying to recruit jihadist Muslims from a terror affiliated Mosque?

Gee, what could possibly go wrong?

msn is carrying the Telegraph article on how Stasi Starmer intends to force tech companies to ban ‘misinformatiton’

The Telegraph understands that ministers are looking at introducing a duty on social media companies to restrict “legal but harmful” content.

It could mean that firms are required to remove or suppress posts spreading fake news about asylum seekers or other topics such as self-harm, even if they do not meet the threshold for illegality.

However, critics have said the proposals expose “the sinister and authoritarian side” of Sir Keir’s Labour Party, driving “a coach and horses” through the principle of free speech.

The plans come after a row between Elon Musk who owns X, formerly known as Twitter, and the Prime Minister over his handling of the riots.

The potential crackdown on tech companies would likely form part of a review of the Online Safety Act, which was passed last year.

The Act requires platforms to take “robust action” against illegal content and activity and will be implemented gradually.

A “legal but harmful” clause, requiring firms to take down or restrict the visibility of content deemed to be dangerous but not against the law, was included in the original Bill brought forward by the Tories in 2022.

However, it was removed because of free-speech concerns, with critics warning it could allow a future Labour government to censor controversial material.

Kemi Badenoch, a candidate for the Tory leadership, previously described it as “legislating for hurt feelings”.
The clause was replaced with a new “triple-shield” of protections, including a duty on firms to give users the tools to filter out content that they do not want to see.

The final legislation was passed last year, following years of campaigning by The Telegraph for social media firms to be subject to a statutory “duty of care”.

Jordan Peterson to attend remedial coaching program after Canada’s top court nixes appeal

Jordan Peterson will be attending re-education training after Canada’s top court closed the door on his legal fight against an order that he enter a remedial coaching program.
It was confirmed through Peterson’s lawyer Howard Levitt in an email to the National Post on Thursday.
In a statement via email, Levitt said it was “ironic, even tragic” that Peterson — whom he called “one of the most adept persons in social media in this country and beyond” — is going to attend a program “from people inherently less skilled and knowledgeable than he is himself.”
“The decision is a tragedy for freedom of speech in this country,” said Levitt.
“With close to (a quarter) of Canadians (being) members of regulated trades and professions, this decision will have a chilling impact on Canadians freedom of speech and debate. They now have to concern themselves with political and other enemies making complaints to their regulatory bodies over their political comments with the risk of their ability to practice their trade. Most simply will avoid debate entirely. A tragic day for Canada.”
Also on Thursday, Peterson posted on social media about the decision.
“The court has rejected my appeal regarding the decision of the Ontario College of Psychologists to subject me to indefinite re-education,” he wrote on X.
“I am now bereft of options on the legal front in Canada. I guess it’s on with the show.”

    On with the show.
The author and former University of Toronto professor has not had an active clinical practice since 2017 but remains a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
In 2022, the professional body reviewed Peterson’s social-media conduct after hearing concerns about whether his posts met its standards.
It determined that online comments appeared degrading, demeaning and unprofessional — and that this posed a risk to the public.
The college directed Peterson to enter into a coaching program to reflect on his approach to public statements, and said he could be accused of professional misconduct if he did not comply.
The Ontario Superior Court of Justice dismissed Peterson’s application for judicial review, and the Court of Appeal dismissed an appeal attempt.

    @ eaglesoars:
UK police commissioner threatens to extradite, jail US citizens over online posts: ‘We’ll come after you’

London’s Metropolitan Police chief warned that officials will not only be cracking down on British citizens for commentary on the riots in the U.K., but on American citizens as well.

“We will throw the full force of the law at people. And whether you’re in this country committing crimes on the streets or committing crimes from further afield online, we will come after you,” Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley told Sky News.

Footage of the violent clashes involving anti-immigration protesters and the groups of counter-protesters, some of whom have been seen waving Palestinian flags, has gone viral on social media, and the government is warning that sharing such content may have serious consequences.

One key aspect that makes this apparent crackdown on social media particularly shocking to critics is that the British government is threatening to extradite American citizens from the U.S. to be jailed in the U.K. for violating their rules about political speech online.

A Sky News reporter asked Commissioner Rowley to further explain his warning, arguing that high profile figures have been “whipping up the hatred,” and that “the likes of Elon Musk” have been getting involved. She then asked what the police force’s plan will be “when it comes to dealing with people who are whipping up this kind of behavior from behind the keyboard who may be in a different country?”

Rowley answered by telling the reporter, “Being a keyboard warrior does not make you safe from the law.”

“You can be guilty of offenses of incitement, of stirring up racial hatred, there are numerous terrorist offenses regarding the publishing of material,” he said. “All of those offenses are in play if people are provoking hatred and violence on the streets, and we will come after those individuals just as we will physically confront on the streets the thugs and the yobs who are taking — who are causing the problems for communities.”

    “Racial hatred” eh?

So I guess the racist governments in these countries will soon be arrested and doing time in the UK gaols?

So I am awaiting Mark Rowlings the Police Commissioner of the London Metropolitan Police arresting millions of US citizens extraditing and using draconian Terrorism Laws to lock up these millions of US citizens in British Jails. Rowlings is looking at you Eagles and me too! Exactly where these millions of foreigners are going to be locked up inside the UK for 20 year jailings, is anyone’s guess. I don’t think Sir Mark thought this through fully. More likely he thinks that by locking up the likes of Musk and senior journalists on Fox he will terrorise the rest of the world into compliance and total silence. This bastard is a Stasi thug!

Seems that the Dems think that they will have automatic power to just lock up enemies on their say so alone, and without charges ever being laid and before those picked up off the street, are found guilty before the law.

The Dems seem to believe that already wield total authoritarian power.

    And nobody will be disciplined

The U.S. Secret Service is apologizing to a Massachusetts salon owner after an agent covered her security camera with duct tape and broke into her salon by picking the lock so that its bathroom could be used by various people for a two-hour period.

After the two-hour period, Secret Service agents left her salon unlocked and left the tape covering the camera.

The woman was told by others that the lead Secret Service agent was directing people to use her salon’s bathroom without authorization.

The agents were in the neighborhood to secure the area ahead of a Kamala Harris fundraiser. The woman understood she needed to close her salon but didn’t expect the rest of what happened.

Prosecutor rules fatal shooting of Bryan Malinowski in ATF raid was “justified”

    Timeline of raid

Pre-raid: ATF agents can be seen on the home’s doorbell camera covering up the camera
6:02:58 a.m. A Little Rock patrol officer use his car’s lights and siren to announce the presence of law enforcement
6:02:59 a.m. ATF agents began knocking on the front door
6:03:27 a.m. Agents use a ram to breach the door
6:03:43 a.m. Malinowski fires the first of four shots from his Colt Defender .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun
6:03:44 a.m. An ATF agent returns fire and is injured, shooting three times from his M4

So, they gave him 28 seconds to answer the door–probably from a sound sleep–before knocking the door down. Seventeen seconds later, he was shot three times with an M4.

Keep in mind that this was a search warrant, not an arrest warrant. Also, one detail left out of their timeline is the fact that they cut power to the home, meaning it was dark inside.

The Malinowski family attorney, Bud Cummins, released a statement on the ruling and said a “search warrant is not supposed to necessarily be a license for a home invasion.”

“A U.S. citizen was given 28 seconds before his home was forcefully invaded by armed government intruders,” Cummins said. “[Bryan Malinowski] was killed in front of his wife. This is far from over.”

Cummins questioned the 28 seconds between knock and breach, especially since the investigation was into a “low-level violation” with “little risk involved in the search.”

“‘Reasonable’ time can be short in certain cases, such as those involving narcotics or other evidence that can be destroyed, or when there is a risk of someone fleeing,” Cummins said. “How long is it reasonable to wait for someone to answer their front door at 6:00 a.m. in response to unexplained loud pounding in a 3000 square foot fully insulated home? Let’s pray the answer isn’t 28 seconds. The Fourth Amendment means more than that to every single one of us.”

My Executive Committee of the Auckland RSA (Returned & Services Association) (military)proposed and lobbied amongst Members of Parliament to make Warren ‘Buck’ Shelford, a former All Blacks Rugby Captain,

We had and squeezed our way past the pretender to that ‘throne’, one Major General ‘nutter’, who wormed his way out of the Reserve where he had been Commissioned and did a few years in the serve Troop of the NZSAS to get his SAS parachute wings. He then moved sideways into the Regular Army (this self absorbed ‘joiner’ and stamp on the hand ‘dickhead) had never been to a Regular Defence College. He had then knifed his way to the top,and in his only operational deployment has been Lt Gen Sir Peter Cosgrove (an actual fighting soldier) XO on the Timor deployment under UN auspicious. This pretend Maj Gen had spent his whole deployment at HQ in the capital Dili pushing paper! Cosgrove did the actual General Officer stuff.

This professional ‘knife his way to the top’ psycho had ‘smoosed’ his way politically into a government job as Comptroller of Customs and thought that he’d get the usual Knighthood and knife his way into the job as President of the RNZRSA. The guy had the command capability of ‘Attila the Hun’! The Exec of the Auckland RSA out manoeuvred the pretend Lt Gen, and got Sir Buck into the position as ARSA President.

Alas human nature being what it is Sir ‘Buck’ was corrupted by the baubles of power, and his lack of management smarts had him becoming the plaything of the inner cabal of NZ Inc. (AKA the Kiwi Swamp). From an All Black Captain and the Hard Man of the All Black Rugby scrum. A guy who had a testicle torn out of his scrotum by a Rugby boot stud, retired to the change room where the medic taped his testicle back into his ‘ball bag’ and went back onto the field to finish the game back in the scrum….., to the plaything of the (Kiwi Swamp Dwellers). How the mighty have fallen prey to the baubles of power!

    Sigh!

    🙂

Sir Mark the Chief of the MET in London did nothing for his Honorific except join the Masons and knifed his way up the MET ‘stud book!’

I wonder who they think would become president if they were to do that?

It wouldn’t be Harris. Do the really want Vance in there?

I’m guessing now but one would assume that is Vance!

I still don’t give Vance a clean bill of political health either. After the shenanigans of 2016-2020 exposes of Trump Cabinet posts I am a LOT more circumspect these days. I’ll give Vance a few years ro prove that he is the real thing before I would trust him!

Honestly, it’s not really clear what would happen in that event, because the Constitution isn’t clear. It would end up being decided by the Supreme Court, I’m sure.

But I’m pretty certain that their answer wouldn’t be “Well, I guess the Republicans just forfeited this one.”

That’s the thing, though. Just because the VP automatically becomes president upon the death of the president doesn’t mean that it would necessarily work the same way for the president-elect, particularly if it’s before the electoral votes are counted on January 6th. There’s no precedent for it. It probably would end up that way, but the Supreme Court would have to decide, most likely.

Of course, this whole scenario hinges on the Democrats retaking the House in the first place. That’s the only way they can “disqualify” Trump.

Then howz about a break from reality for awhile:

Picture if you can a world where AI has blurred the line between what is real and what is not, a world where robots can easily replace a human, YOU for example, at work, at home, with your spouse and you could barely tell the difference.

The EVIL DNC is attempting yet again, to take over the country named The United States of America. They have already failed once in their mission to assassinate former President and now POTUS Elect prior to his being sworn in. This man who these Evil Doers have in mind and in their sites is non other than a man named … Donald J Trump.
But there are vexing problems for the Evil Doers, the largest one being:
How to tell if they have the REAL Donald J Trump in their sights ? What IF
they succeed in their EVIL MISSION or maybe only THINK they do when, to everyone surprise, on January 20, 2025 the REAL, proven by fingerprint and eyeball analysis, shows up to be sworn in while the Evil Doers are popping their bottles of champagne and the finest spirits know on planet EARTH, toasting to a job THEY think was well done ? What IF this man of means, this billionaire had specially made 100 exact replica robots that only he and certain select secret ‘agents’ known only to the POTUS Elect himself …
And so on and so forth, I hope ya get the idea. I need an/to’ escape’ myself and since I can NOT drink, I do NOT take drugs, I need SOMETHING because the shtz gettin’ CRAZY. Robot tech has me otherwise excited. I hope and pray The Donald has found them just as interesting and whips up some kind of FUN like the above because man, it would be a PISSER !!

I would take these people to court if I could. It’s a violation of their Health and Social Care Act

This is over a month old and I missed it

The UK’s new prime minister, Keir Starmer, is someone Obama has been mentoring for months. Oh dear lord..

“Starmer and Obama had known each other for 20 years since meeting at an event for Black alumni of Harvard University.”

This sounds like a remake on Hope and Change

“Starmer said as voting began Thursday. “A new age of hope and opportunity after 14 years of chaos and decline.””

“In a series of Zoom calls, Obama, who served as US president from 2009 until 2017, encouraged Starmer to become more vulnerable and open with the public and has spoken with the Labour leader about the difficult decisions he made in the Oval Office.

It isn’t clear what form of ‘legal action’ she is taking, but Tulsi ain’t having it

“My own government, my president, my commander-in-chief is targeting me as a potential domestic terrorist, the closest word that comes to mind is a complete sense of betrayal.”

“After serving over 21 years and continuing to serve in our nation’s military, my own government has labeled and is targeting me directly now as a domestic terrorist.”

“They’re using people like the air marshals as weapons and pawns to target their political opponents.”

“Of course, there’s no explanation given, which is why we are taking legal recourse.”

“Obviously, I’ve been very outspoken about the dangers of the Biden-Harris administration to our democracy and to our freedom and to our national security. This is what happens as a result.”

Shouldn’t matter where you land on the political spectrum, a former congresswoman and veteran being put on a terrorist watch list simply for speaking out against the current administration should enrage you. It should enrage you because it’s not only a waste of your tax payer money, but because it is what some of the worse governments in history do and that doesn’t represent America.

The weaponization of government against outspoken political opponents is things you see in governments such as Russia and Iran not America

If you are a Democrat thinking ‘that’s what she gets for betraying us,’ please remember the Pendulum always swings back the other way. Eventually a non Democrat will take power and the precedent has now been set.

    Americans deserve better.

    @ lobo91:

nope too busy to read it. Cuz of stuff like this

Voters now trust Harris over Trump despite being ‘hurt’ by Biden-Harris policies, new polling finds.

BRUSSELS, Aug 12 (Reuters) – EU industry chief Thierry Breton told billionaire Elon Musk in a letter on Monday he must comply with EU law ahead of Musk’s interview with U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump on social media platform X.
The interview, scheduled for 8PM Eastern Time (0000 Tuesday GMT), will also be accessible to users in the EU, Breton wrote, adding: “In this context, I am compelled to remind you of the due diligence obligations set out in the Digital Services Act (DSA).”

“DSA obligations apply without exceptions or discrimination to the moderation of the whole user community and content of X (including yourself as a user with over 190 million followers) which is accessible to EU users and should be fulfilled in line with the risk-based approach of the DSA, which requires greater due diligence in case of a foreseeable increase of the risk profile”, Breton wrote in his letter.

The DSA law requires very large platforms to do more to tackle illegal content and risks to public security.
Last month, EU tech regulators ruled that X breached the DSA and that it deceived users through its use of blue checkmarks.
X said it disagreed with the EU’s assessment on how it complies with the DSA while owner Musk threatened litigation.

Haaland the Sec of Interior is way out of her league. She is the typical ‘glove puppet’ that is just a figurehead and has little real power. The power behind this sock-puppet is linked to foreign terrorist billionaires who have their own staff who have infiltrated into yet another department bureaucracy. You can smell the Marxism on their breath and hear the cash registers ringing with ‘Buckshee’ corruption of bureaucrat leadership.

Wherever these Marxists infiltrate corruption and wickedness follows. Every time the actual power brokers who have infiltrated the bureaucracy are found there is always a clutch of moronic Progressive socialists providing ‘cover’ for the nefarious manipulation and corruption.

Real computer delayed until tomorrow but good news as cat piss dried this keyboard working better.

The ridicule that the Australian Break Dance contestant from Australia is getting is cruel and nasty. The harsh fact is she was the best Australia had and she earned and deserved a place in the Olympics.

What she did get is an all expenses paid three week vacation in Paris, free flight, food and accommodation.

All she had to do was wriggle on the floor for a few minutes. I call that a big win for her!

Anyway, if anyone has time to watch a good Olympics movie then highly recommend two. in both these movies the competitors came last, and both were in fact deemed to be too dangerous to compete at first.

“Cool Runnings” Jamaican Bobsled team and “Eddie the Eagle” 1988 British Ski Jump competitor.

Both are based on true events and in both movies the competitors became national heroes and inspiration to others.

I lost interest in electronics and soldering shit and making cool things about 2019. It just stopped being fun.

To build shit and program it do shit you really need to connect prototypes to a real computer. A PC usually. Via USB usually.

LOL that does not come without risks! I used to connect my toys to a PC using a USB hub, never directly. That is because I believe the smoke and flames would not get past the hub. Yeah, I know, when that dang electricity escapes it is going to destroy whatever gets in its way and aim for the most expensive thing it can find and explode it!

Reason for post? Being without a PC since last Thursday caused me to dig around in the piles of stuff I have here and put together a Raspberry Pi system. I have so much electronic toys and parts that I actually feel ashamed…

Anyway Raspberry Pi system up and running, old TV as monitor, 3A USB C charger is power supply, now dried of cat piss wireless keyboard and a sticky corded mouse. I think I should clean mouse with a Clorox wipe maybe.

OS is Debian Linux, browser is Chromium which is indistinguishable from Chrome. I can browse all my usual places, here, X, weather, Gmail, Outlook mail, Youtube etc no problem. And faster than the laptop that had a hard drive failure!

Hard drive on a Raspberry may fail also you all yell! And I just smile….

Yes you can run using a plug in portable hard drive and it makes things faster, or you can use a USB thumb drive but I am happy with using the most basic way of running it.

My “hard drive” is a 32GB micro SD card, about $2 each if you buy a multi pack. “Hard drive” fail, then toss it in trash and use another.

I think new refurbished PC and new new 21 inch monitor and keyboard and mouse may stay inside its box for a while when it gets here. $139 well spent though, it was a bargain.

    🙂

    @ Possum:
Hardest part in getting this all together was creating a bootable micro SD card. Do not attempt when drunk.

Hey, phone has the ability to insert a micro SD card for extra storage. Easy!

You either poke the poky hole and a drawer slides open or you break both thumb nails and rip the back of your precious phone.

Well after a few scary attempts using my current active phone with a poke a hole drawer and the SIM card fell out and got lost in the dust bunnies I then tethered an old rip off the cover type phone to it.

Using either phone and the Raspberry Pi SD card imaging tool many times was asked ” do you want to format the SD card? ” Yes is the obvious answer, then the tool can wipe the SD card clean and make me what I want.

Always read the small print. The utility was targeting the phone, not the plugged in SD card. Would have wiped phone clean.

Got it in the end though. I is expert now, even though I has two badly broken thumb nails. Where are clippers?

Oh, and a really important thing. When you get a new phone do not throw your old one away. Unless it is broken. Then throw it.

Even though a disconnected phone seems useless it can still dial 911 which is all you need when walking to the store. And if on the way to the store someone with a gun asks to borrow it, then no big loss.

An old disconnected phone can still access the internet, stream movies and do all it used to do.

Just connect it to your WiFi network.

An old phone is still a useful phone.

My iPhone 7 that is now absolutely fucking useless as none of the apps I use work anymore is still useful.

Except for one app, and I hope Friskies do not upgrade it ( problem with iPhone is app store will not run anymore )

So! My old useless iPhone will spend the rest of its life running the catfishing app and be totally ignored by the cats.

( but I have the high score so far )

Female police officers are needed to search female criminals.

What we do need is more women as police helicopter pilots or observers. hey are awesome! In this video the female helicopter person was telling all the men on the ground what was happening or what was about to happen before they knew what was happening.

I remember years ago a bank robbery in LA that was carried live on TV. The bad guys had military weaponry and they did not give a shit. The cops arrived in droves and at least one was killed. The camera work was from a helicopter but I don’t recall if it was a police chopper or news. In any event, the police dispatchers – 2 women – were watching from the same camera and they could see what the cops on the ground couldn’t. Like the bad guys opened the trunk of their car and there were like ROCKET LAUNCHERS in there! The bad guys were all in black wearing ski masks. The cops were just trying to find cover, their incoming was so fierce. Finally, the dispatchers realized the problem and started yelling to the cops on the ground. TAKE THE HEAD SHOT!! TAKE THE HEAD SHOT!! THEY’VE GOT BODY ARMOUR TAKE THE HEAD SHOT!! That did the trick. IIRC the bad guys were from some shithole country from the former USSR and this particular bank wasn’t their first rodeo. It was, however, their last.

Of course, the only reason they made that announcement in the first place was to scare the bad guys. We pretty much never talk about the deployment of our submarines.

Sending USS Georgia over there is a significant move, though. She’s one of the four early Ohio class SSBNs that were converted to SSGNs. Instead of Trident SLBMs, she now carries 154 Tomahawk cruise missiles, giving her firepower equivalent to an entire surface battle group.

In addition to being a missile truck, Georgia also has the capability of supporting 66 SEALs.

Basically, a whole lot of FAFO.

    @ eaglesoars:

The launchers in those SSGN boats are pretty cool. In their original configuration, they had 24 launch tubes, each holding one Trident nuclear missile. After the conversion, they installed a rotary launcher into each of 22 tubes. Each launcher holds 7 Tomahawks, sort of like a big revolver. The missiles can be launched one after the other, with each launcher operating independently. Basically, it can fire 154 missiles in a matter of a couple of minutes.

The last two launch tubes were converted into lockout chambers for deploying SEALs while submerged.

    lobo is 100% correct!

pellet smokers are the easiest. i have a pretty big smoker because there are 5 of us and we entertain as well. so often i am cooking for 10.

my parents have this one and they love it because they can do a whole ham in it or a brisket. it’s pretty versatile with the vertical shelves and yinz can hang your home made sausages from the top rack

i still have my large side smoker that runs on charcoal and wood chunks or chips. that style will teach you how to manually maintain temperature and get ZERO sleep overnight whilst cooking a brisket for 16 hours!

I really like the Camp Chef side burner. It comes with a flat griddle, but you an swap it for any of their 14″ stove accessories. I use the grill box most. I also have the pizza oven.

The best part is that the same accessories fit on my 2 burner freestanding stove, so I can take it with me when I go on trips with the RV. I converted it to plug into the RV propane system, so I don’t have to carry separate propane tanks for it.

There is no propane with a pellet smoker UNLESS there is a side burner, that is what uses propane.

Pellets are ignited by an electric heat source which then shuts off after the pellets are lit. They are burned in a surprisingly small metal box.

You do need electricity, though. You fill up a hopper on one side with pellets, and there’s an electric motor that slowly feeds them into the combustion chamber. It’s all automated. You set the desired temperature just like you would on an oven (which is basically what it is, anyway) and it does the rest. You just have to make sure it doesn’t run out of pellets. Not usually an issue, though. Mine will run for probably 16 hours on a full hopper, and it has a glass window where you can see the pellet level.

    Yup.

The scene sergeant was the only adult on the ground, and the female Chopper pilot had her shit together and was lucid and communicated perfectly. Most of the cops started off calm and logical but as the police numbers grew as additional Police Units joined in most of the cops went feral. They were so hyped that they were a danger to each other. The cops in blue appeared poorly trained, the Sheriffs’ deputies were more logical and were using their brains. How half of the local cops in blue didn’t shoot each other is anyone’s guess. The officer Fraser was totally out of control and should forever more drive a desk somewhere. He was totally out of control , didn’t use cover at all and almost shot a bunch of his fellow cops who were operating on the other side of the felon’s vehicle. The scene sergeant got command and control finally. The rest of the cops in blue were afraid, weren’t thinking, and were dangers to each other.

The female chopper pilot remained professional and logical as did the scene sergeant. The rest of the cops in blue were amateur hour untrained law enforcement and didn’t know much at all about urban policing.

I’m from a Police family. My dad was a Crown Sergeant and my son is a detective 80% through his Detective Sergeants exams. When operating into LAX our crews got to know the LA Torrance Police and they used to take flight deck crew as ‘ride alongs’ on occasion. Torrance cops had their shit together as did the local Sheriffs’ Deputies. Other local cops surrounding LAX and Torrance were amateurs with guns mostly. Most were terribly untrained and were scared shitless a lot of the time and prone to using excess force as their first position. LA based California State Police were better trained from the little I ever saw of them. The Chopper crews were almost to a crew were the best of the best. Most sergeants knew their shit but the average local cop was dangerous to themselves and anyone around them.

Rather than Propane that is heavier than air and as such is prone to gathering near the ground. Try using piped gas with an external feed from the permanent gas lines. This is lighter than air and vents to air and disperses automatically. Much safer!

    🙂

We’ve used a plumbed in Bar-B-Que on a large open air deck and it has worked perfectly for a decade. All you need to convert a normal Propane burner to use commercial (lighter than air piped gas) is change the burner sizes to use the lighter gas. All Bar-B- Que stores sell larger bore burners for not very much at all.

That’ll keep your hubby happy and safe.

She speaks with the bank and is told it’s COMMON, Illegal migrants are being given funding to purchase things like this

Why do American citizen need so much income and credit scores to the the same funding??

“I purchased my first food truck. It cost me over $25,000. I paid it cash money. I worked hard to pay for this truck.

I’m thankful that he’s buying it, but I’m hurt that I worked so hard to pay cash for my food truck.

I have good credit. Can’t even get a business loan because of color of my skin.

I have veterans in my family. I’m a veteran. I’ve been self employed for so long. But somebody please tell me. How do I work so hard to have somebody who comes to this country not long, no credit.

And he shows me paperwork where they’ll be funding him money to buy my food truck. And when I talked to the bank, they told me, usually they have to go straight to a dealership because, no, I’m a I’m a private sale. But for special circumstances, they’re gonna you know, they allow it.

But I need my president to tell me why I worked so hard all these years, all these decades. Couldn’t get a business loan, but I bust my ass to get the money to create my business. And we got immigrants coming here, and they’re getting money. Money. We’re doing nothing but just being here. It’s not right, and I want answers.”

Report: Secret Service Agent Leaves Trump Post to Breastfeed

A female Secret Service agent on duty to protect former President Donald Trump at a North Carolina rally Wednesday left her post to breastfeed without permission, RealClearPolitics reported.

Soon before Trump’s arrival in Asheville, North Carolina, the Secret Service site agent conducted a final sweep of the walking route “and found the agent breast-feeding her child in a room that is supposed to be set aside for important Secret Service official work, i.e. a potential emergency related to the president,” the outlet’s Susan Crabtree posted Thursday on X.

The woman agent, out of the Atlanta Field Office, and two family members bypassed the Uniformed Division checkpoint and were escorted by “unpinned” event staff into the room to breastfeed, sources told RealClearPolitics.

Unpinned means they had not been cleared to be there by the Secret Service.

A Secret Service spokesman said the incident did not have an impact on the event and is under review.

“All employees of the U.S. Secret Service are held to the highest standards,” spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said, the news outlet reported. “While there was no impact to the North Carolina event, the specifics of this incident are being examined. Given this is a personnel matter, we are not in a position to comment further.”

The ABs went crazy during the final 20 minutes at the Wellington ‘Cake-tin’ last week, and threw the game away with crazy impossible passing stuff that didn’t come off. Talking of knee joints, and joints in general. It has been a few weeks since I took any multi-vitamins and minerals and ZERO joint pain anywhere.

I think this is about the third or fourth time I have done this clinical study using my own body.

Due to the lack of vitamins and minerals in my diet of Busch Light, lettuce and Peruvian oranges my teeth are becoming loose, my skin is all dry and flaky and peeling off, my hair is falling out and I can no longer see in the dark.

I really must attempt to find out what is in those things that is triggering joint pain. Could even be something as stupid as the fillers they use!

Difficult choice, have my body fall apart and be able to walk 50 miles or have a perfect and healthy body but in so much pain I cannot walk to the bathroom without taking an Ibuprofen.

PS, new phone that UPS lost on 2nd August showed up yesterday out of the blue. So much for next day air.

New windows computer and monitor arrived Tuesday. Still in its box. I love my Raspberry.

A cooking post for all those single and lonely people out there that are sick and tired of cooking meals using regular recipes, you know the ones.

Feeds six, that means you are eating the same shit for a week.

Pasta is a good example, bring 2 quarts of water to a boil, add salt, pour in a 16oz packet of spirally pasta things and simmer for 8 minutes, or until cooked.

Nah, none of that here. 56g which is 2oz of pasta is placed into a microwave bowl. ( a 200 calorie portion ) then cheap Walmart chicken stock is added. Enough to cover the pasta and a splash or two more.

Microwave on high, my microwave is a tiny 700W one, for four minutes then forget about it for an hour.

Drain the now cold but very tasty pasta, sprinkle it with the cheap Walmart powdered Parmesan dust stuff. Mix well then splosh in 62g of Walmart Alfredo sauce. Stir again, cover bowl with saran wrap and forget about it until hungry.

Best one portion with no leftover pasta ever!

Best way to eat it is then get two slices of fresh bread, an toast the bread. While toast is toasting warm up a can of baked beans. DO NOT LET BEANS BOIL!

When toast is done, butter it with a very thick layer of real butter. Hint, let the toast cool slightly as if it is too hot butter melts and turns toast soggy. Pour on the baked beans, top with shredded cheddar and enjoy.

So what happens to the pasta? Pasta is gay. That gets fed to Mr Toilet.

Sister is doing fine in the convalescent home, and will be transferred to her own apartment in the assisted living wing in a few weeks. It’s an efficiency apartment that costs her nothing; she qualifies for a lot of assistance programs.

She’s in good spirits, much better than a few months ago. The problem is that she sounds lucid and coherent, but she tells stories. She says she’s able to do things that contradict what the staff and others tell us. Sis thinks she’s capable of living on her own as before – she’s not. Besides personal hygiene, she is barely ambulatory with the equivalent of a club foot and she’s got eclampsia in her right hand.

Our concern is that she hasn’t been declared mentally incompetent. She’s already fantasizing about leaving the assisted living home (too many old people) and she has the right to do so. One day the reality of her situation/condition is going to hit her. Or not.

    66. I don’t think she’s lying intentionally, I think she’s delusional. If you spoke to her you wouldn’t notice anything odd until she tells you she can shower and use the toilet by herself and later you find out she hasn’t bathed in a week and the couch is soaked with urine.

She’s in a good facility, can stay there indefinitely, has no responsibilities (bills, shopping, etc.) There is medical staff, transportation, physical therapy as well as a “tavern” and other areas where she can hang out if she gets tired of her small dwelling. I don’t know the details, but I think her long-time friend owes her a chunk of money, so if she wants to upgrade to a larger apartment, he can pay for it. That’s all speculation on my part.

There was a facility in the UK that had a problem with impaired residents wandering off occasionally. They solved the problem by constructing a fake bus stop near the facility entrance, with a bench, roof, lights and signs. If someone went missing they’d usually find them sitting quietly, and they’d tell them “Hello Mr. ZZZ! The lorry’s running late today due to the fog. Let me know when she’s ready for Hannah Arendt’s The Origins of Totalitarianism. It’s really turgid (her first language was German) but worth it. And so is Mein Kampf. Another is Red Horizons by Ion Pacepa. He was head of security for Ceausecu. He was the highest military defector ever from the Soviet Union. He died in the early days of Covid. I still want to see what is going to happen when a few chicks get killed by men in sports.

we had a (I’m sure dyke) play on our rugby team in Berlin for a minute. it lasted one half, the king’s own Scottish borderers put an end to it quickly. we tried to tell it that it was going to get killed. it ended up in the hospital. men dont belong in women’s sport, women don’t belong in women’s sport.

    @ coldwarrior:
I have a story about expensive cars, parking lots and money.

Many years ago I used to do sales support for a large European computer company. Back in the day when Digital Equipment Corporation ruled the Mini-computer market.

Was on a sales visit to a government contractor, pitching the sale of a 4MB upgrade to a VAX 8650. You heard that right, 4MB. The cost I seem to recall was about 20000-25000 pounds. Anyway we got the sale!!!!!!

Why? we were cheaper than our competitor who had visited an hour before us. But not by much we later found out.

What really clinched the deal and the procurement manager told us before we even mentioned the cost was the fact that out of his office
window he could see the visitor’s parking lot.

The competition rolled up in a Porsche, we arrived in a trusty Ford Cortina, estate. He said ” they are paying their sales people too much, they are obviously ripping people off! ”

Anyway, point is that if I walked out of a hospital after being charged $50,000 for hemorrhoid removal and I walked past a row of Porches in the doctor spaces I would be tempted to ding a few of them!

Flashing your wealth is not always a good strategy….

that sounds like a Ford (aluminum)….ammiright?

Yup. The entire body is aluminum. The only steel is the frame and the bumpers. The engine is all aluminum, too, since it’s the Coyote 5.0 V-8.

They had to replace the entire passenger side rear quarter panel (the entire outside of the cargo box), because it cracked or tore in two places.

I like the aluminum idea ESPECIALLY here in PA where salt on the road is king in the winter. I’ve had perfectly functional cars go to the yard because of rot.

Rust isn’t really an issue in the southwest. The main benefit of aluminum is weight. It’s 750 pounds lighter than the previous generation. And the engine puts out about 100 more horsepower than the previous version. Performance-wise, it’s great.

allow me to let you in on something.

these docs work their asses off, often over 13 hours a day, often 5 days a week including weekends. sometimes their only relaxation is a nice drive home.

the cardiologist who saved Mrs coldwarrior’s life drives an S-class. why, he’s that good and we know him personally. he says his 40 minute drive home is the only relaxation he gets until his ONE true day off a week.

I’ll not begrudge someone who has worked hard to be the best they can be a nice car. that said, I have a nice ride because I am often 3 or 4 hours on the road to get to and from assignments. a Yugo would be brutal. the doc who I work with a lot put 30k on last year driving to different assignments. I put on 32k.

the rust in the NE is insane, there is almost no way to stop it. salt in water is a mighty corrosive, like driving IN the ocean. cars are infinitely better now than they were tho. I had a great 5.0 fox body with some trix, went to the yard from rust with 140k on it. my old Benz diesel wagon with 300k miles on it dies of two things, only 3rd gear left and rust

Kamala has a plan to lower drug costs

    WE WILL SNATCH THEIR PATENTS

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kRiYilN9kw

How a Democratic president could reduce drug prices without Congress
Two obscure laws provide an opening for a Democratic president to slash drug prices.

On Friday night, Sen. Kamala Harris made a campaign trail promise that grabbed some attention: If drug companies refuse to lower their prices, “I will snatch their patent so we can take over.”

According to the Washington Post’s Dave Weigel, somebody in attendance asked the obvious question: Can you do that? “Yes, we can do that,” Harris replied. “We just need the will to do that.”

Got showered, dressed, jumped in the car and off to work I went.

On the way noticed the traffic was unusually light but there seemed to be a lot of traffic coming the other way. Strange, also it seemed to be getting darker as if there was a storm on the way.

    Yeah, you guessed, wrong 7:00.

Not to be boring or anything but for anyone who watches police videos and then reads the comments.

Sometimes the body cameras are set to UTC ( Coordinated Universal Time, it is French. Used to be GMT which is Greenwich Mean Time but the world hates the British )

Anyway, on some videos the time on the bodycam is wrong. It is actually correct but you have to look at the -5:00 UTC tag next to it and work out what the real time there is.

A glaring example is the George Floyd trial where the time on the body cam of the Asian looking officer was out by hours and he couldnt explain why.

Finally decided the place he wanted to die in was the cabinet under the sink in the bathroom.

Gave him water a little bowl of Temptation treats and a bowl of wet cat food.

    Just checked on him. Dead.

    Second one in six weeks.

Do not feel like getting him out of cupboard, putting him in a box then in a trash bag and throwing him in the dumpster tonight. That is a job for tomorrow.
