Enjoy this open.

Now, next realistic time to play the game will be after 1am ET tomorrow ( Saturday )assuming people here start a commenting frenzy. Otherwise we are looking at 1pm plus on Sunday.

Not as I care, or participate.

AND before Bunk tries a sneaky move at 3:40am tomorrow on a dead thread, just try it buddy!

I am sure people are scratching their heads.

The game is you post a number that matches the comment number and the time, which is ET here.

Surprisingly there are not many opportunities to do that. And it is a slow game.

Akin to playing a game of chess via mail.

I hope that clears it up and I hope we get more players.

It is the best interactive online game since Nintendo gave us that Mario guy and his silly little car.

Not me, this place had me on probation for the las 14 years. I even had to wear an ankle monitor thing.

As I am eating my very low calorie cauliflower bake one last parting comment.

Polaris Dawn and testing a new space suit concept. Four people wearing the new concept space suits and two actually going outside the capsule and waving.

    Very risky, yes.

    Did it end well? Yes.

However that is what the ISS is up in orbit for. Testing new technology.

I would have much preferred someone going out of the air lock on the ISS accompanied by two others in traditional space suits in case there was a problem.

Anyway that is just me wondering what the fuck the ISS is up there for

I’ve worked retail jewelry. Some men are absolutely obsessed with watches. Diving watches by men who get their feet wet in rain puddles, etc. I’ve rolled my eyes to the back of my head to the point where brain damage was a consideration. It’s absurd. And they all had this cloying girlfriend with them. “Oh Honey, that would look so good with whatever”.

And I’m thinking “Small Penis Syndrome”

I like watches. I wear an analog watch by Timex. It has a button on the side you can push to light it up in the dark. I needed it when Bonnie had seizures in the middle of the night and I had to time them.

Research Avebury stone circle. It is in the same neck of the woods as Stone henge but older. I kind of felt it was a creepy place. The rocks are not carved rectangular but sort of big rocks arranged in a circle. Also you can walk amongst them, in fact there are houses there amongst them.

Stonehenge you cannot really get close.

    @ Bunk Five Hawks X:
If they want to visit real England and not just the tourist places then consider traveling from London to York via train. Takes 2 hours.

Yes I know York is a touristy place. As a kid we used to go there on Sunday day trips to visit the museums etc. However it is a very old walled city. But also a modern city if you get my meaning.

Many places in Britain have chunks of them built thousands of years ago with normal 21st century life mixed in.

Note, a city in England is not called a city because of size or population. A city has a cathedral.

Anyway itinery so far is, a few nights in London, train to York, a night or two there to explore the city and the surrounding Yorkshire countryside. Then hop on a train ( 3 hrs ) to Scotland.

Base in Edinburgh for a few days, historic place and do day trips into the wilds of Scotland.

Then maybe fly from Edinburgh to Dublin, a few days there seeing the city but going into the countryside, then flight to London, a day rest and fly back to the USA.

Or anywhere in Louisiana. After Molly died I was near collapse and a friend (remember ‘Pink Freud’?) took me in. She lived in Lafayette. One of the places she took me to was a diner in a little town called Breaux Bridge. I don’t remember the name of the restaurant but they had a band that played zydeco. I know for a fact that I will not eat it after I cook it. That is the way it goes here, by the time something is cooked I change my mind.

Bloody savage you are. Here is the only way to make a BLT sandwich

The proper way to prepare bacon: cookie sheet laid w/parchment, oven at 400F. Lay bacon on parchment and dust lightly with flour. Bake 18-23 mins depending on thickness. Start checking at 18 mins. DO remember to turn on the vent in the hood over the stove. There will be smoke

LIGHTLY toast sourdough bread. Brush with olive oil (or spread with Hellman’s if you insist, it’s the only mayo on the planet**), lay one leaf of romaine, a slice or two of tomato, and then the bacon.

**In the South, Dukes is popular. It is a bit sweeter than I like but acceptable. Hellman’s is also marketed under another name ‘BEST’ I’m told but have never seen

    BREAKING:

NEW YORK TIMES PROFILED THE SHOOTER RYAN ROUTH WHO TRIED TO ASSASSINATE PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP TODAY!

Ryan Routh served in the US foreign legion in Ukraine, which is reportedly tied to the CIA!
    @CIA

    Not only did
    @Newsweek
interview Ryan Routh the attempted Trump assassin 2 years ago about his choice to fight in UKRAIE in 2022, but in 2023, the New York Times
    @nytimes
also profiled the shooter and his efforts to recruit foreign fighters for Ukraine illegally in Pakistan and Iran by purchasing FAKE PASSPORTS for Afghan soldiers in Pakistan.

So the US government knew this guy was doing illegal mercenary work and they never stopped him. Even worse, the anti-Trump Leftist media wrote glowing profiles about him and gave him a platform.

Ryan Routh’s cell phone number traces back to “Fight for Ukraine”, which has been accused of being a terrorist organization, focused on recruiting mercenaries to fight in Ukraine for the sake of killing Russian soldiers.

    @ eaglesoars:
The reason I only cook bacon so it is cooked and not burned to a crisp is British and Irish and Danish etc bacon comes in three types.

Back bacon, which is slices of pig taken from the back, aka loin. Think of a thin slice of pork chop with no bone and cured and smoked.

Canadian bacon is from the same part of the pig, but all fat trimmed off and processed to taste like ham. Ham is slices of the back leg.

Middle bacon is from the side of the pig, it has more meat than the next cut, but less than back bacon.

The cheapest type of bacon is called streaky bacon, probably due to the streaks of a little bit of meat and mostly fat. From the belly. Poor people in England eat that!

Now, American bacon is ONLY the cheap belly type bacon. The cut of bacon that is called back bacon in the rest of the world is illegal to sell and described as bacon in the USA.

Some British online food stores sell imported English, Irish and Scottish back bacon and it is about $12+ per pound. Which is not too bad for gourmet bacon. It has much less fat, so when cooked there is actually more left than when cooking USA type bacon.

    The kicker is….

Shipping is prohibitive. It needs to be refrigerated. The British food stores put your order in a Styrofoam box with cooling packs. and next day air it.

The boxes are a fixed size so if you order a lot of bacon, sausage, meat pies etc the shipping is the same. However for me it would take years to eat $300+ of nice bacon.

An example of what I mean, a 1lb pack of back bacon is $12.50. Not really that bad.

Shipping is $64.64 for a total of $77.14 to get a pound of bacon delivered.

    Site is here…..

I will have to be starving before I will eat organ meats. No liver, nothing.
I used to bake it for my dogs but the veterinarians told me to knock it off unless I knew the cow personally. There was a restaurant in Georgetown that was all about Argentina. The menu offered a lot of organ meats. My ex dragged me to it about 3 times. It was horrid. Everything was burned to a crisp or absolutely raw. The last time I was so disgusted I got up and walked out. I just wanted a medium steak. I have no idea what was on that plate. My ex ate something they said was liver. He was an idiot, got sick as a dog.

    FWIW

JUST IN: The FBI official who just briefed America about the latest Trump assassinat*on investigation, Jeffrey Veltri, is a notorious Trump hater.

Veltri, the head of FBI Miami Field Office, was so outspoken about his Trump-deranged Facebook posts that agents were ordered to scrub them before he could be promoted to head the Miami field office.

The whistleblower told the House Judiciary Committee that Mr. Veltri was “adamantly and vocally anti-Trump.”

The whistleblower added that FBI Director Christopher A. Wray, Deputy Director Paul Abbate and Executive Assistant Director Jennifer Moore were all involved in directing Veltri to disinfect his social media.

This is who Americans are being asked to trust for reliable information about the Trump assassinat*on attempt and the security failures leading up to it.

4oz of raw liver, 135 calories, a small onion 40 calories and 1/2 ounce of butter to fry it in. Add another 100 calories. There was a slight dusting of flour on the liver but I ain’t calorie counting flour dust.

Then just before bed at 7am because I was still hungry a 19oz can of Progresso vegetarian vegetable soup. 200 calories. ( I ain’t gay, it is nice! )

    A math problem.

If a pipe is 20 inches in diameter and closed at each end and is 20 miles long then how much liquid does it contain?

Thinking of the way you can hide a fifth of booze inside a garden hose.

Anyway the stuff in the pipeline is not natural gas ( methane ) but is a liquid consisting of Natural gas liquids (NGLs) are a group of hydrocarbons that includes ethane, propane, butane, isobutane, and natural gasoline. NGLs are differentiated from one another by the number of carbon atoms in their molecular chain. They have a wide variety of applications from specialized fuels (e.g., propane, butane) to petrochemical feedstocks for making products like plastic and fertilizers.

So, you have a pipe filled with all that good stuff that is squirting out of a hole in a pipe, turning into a gas and lighting up the sky.

    @ eaglesoars:

How do you make a pager/phone explode remotely?

If they have lithium batteries, you probably do it by inserting a bit of code that overrides the battery management software and causes it to overheat when triggered.

When they’ve used cell phone bombs for assassinations in the past, those were one-off deals, not a mass event. They somehow got access to the target’s phone and put a small charge of C-4 inside. It doesn’t take much when the person has the phone up to their head.

The brilliance is three-fold. Puts a bunch of Hezbos in the hostpital, takes away the pager communications, and terrorizes the the terrorists who don’t know when the next shoe is gonna drop.

Since the start of the war, Hezbollah has almost entirely abandoned regular communication methods like cell phones, and the organization’s operatives have reverted to using older methods. According to reports, the pagers that exploded today were recently distributed to Hezbollah members.

According to Officials briefed on the matter who spoke with the New York Times; the Thousands of Encrypted Pagers which Exploded today in Lebanon, resulting in Hundreds of Hezbollah Members to be Killed or Critically Injured, were Imported into Lebanon by the Taiwanese-Based Pager Company, Gold Apollo. With the Pagers having been Boobytrapped by Israeli Agents before reaching Lebanon, where roughly 1-2 Ounces of Explosive Material was placed next to the Device Battery, alongside a Trigger to allow Remote Detonation.

At 3:30PM earlier today, the Pagers received a Message that appeared to be coming from Senior Hezbollah Leadership, which then Activated the Explosive within the Device; with the Pagers being Programmed to “Beep” several times before Exploding.

That is the fire I was talking about yesterday.

Still burning but a lot smaller than it was.

Preliminary report is that someone drove from the Walmart parking lot, through a fence, across a couple of hundred feet of rough ground straight at a valve and broke it.

The force of the escaping gasses lifted the car into the air and when it landed it caught fire then ignited the escaping gasses.

Lucky it did actually because the flammable stuff in the pipeline is heavier than air so it would have spread along the ground until it met an ignition source, then there would have been a massive explosion.

No details so far as to who was in the car. They cannot get near it yet.

However, I smell a rat. The car came from the Walmart parking lot and most Walmarts I have been to have cameras all over the parking. One must have picked up the plates, otherwise why have them.

Hillary Slammed For Demanding Journalists ‘Stick With’ Claiming Trump Is ‘Dangerous’

Two-time failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton responded to the second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump over the weekend by demanding that journalists “have a consistent narrative about how dangerous Trump is.”

Clinton made the remarks after authorities in Florida arrested 58-year-old Ryan Routh — a Democrat donor with a criminal history that barred him from owning firearms — on Sunday after he hid on Trump International Golf Course West Palm Beach for 12 hours armed with an AK-17.

“And I don’t understand why it’s so difficult for the press to have a consistent narrative about how dangerous Trump is,” Clinton, who lost to Trump in 2016, lamented to far-Left MSNBC host Rachel Maddow.

“The late, great journalist, Terry Evans, one time said that journalists should really try to achieve objectivity,” she said. “And by that, he said, I mean, they should cover the object. Well, the object in this case, is Donald Trump, his demagoguery, his danger to our country and the world. And stick with it.”

Apparently he thought the ‘roos would just sit there compliantly. He intended to set them loose on the streets of Melbourne. A technical computer really boring post.

Old laptop that died is now re-incarnated because it got a new hard drive transplant.

New refurbished computer that I bought to replace it and lasted two weeks because Glen ( The featured cat ) claimed it as his and pissed all over the video and USB connectors on the back of it is now functioning as it should.

To get that one working it needed to be completely taken apart and the motherboard bathed in 91% Isopropyl alcohol and left to dry. In a previous life I had access to the good stuff. Used to clean the heads on disk drives with removable media. 5Mb to 256Mb. Yeah you read that correctly.

On those drives the heads flew over the top of the disks. In relative terms it was the same as Concorde flying six inches above the ground. Any dust particles got in there would cause a head crash. The removable disk packs were destroyed but quite often the ceramic heads could be cleaned and re-installed.

Anyway, laptop and other dead computer running.

Third addition bought three weeks ago is not dead yet.

Main problem I have here is roaches. They get into everything and shit. They are ALREADY invading latest computer. They trashed my TV. Roach shit is corrosive.

I got some roach killer that is supposed to last 18 months. One of the things you spray around doors to stop the buggers getting in. Supposed to leave no oily residue. Plan is to remove electronics from my now working three computers and spray the insides and outsides of the casings and all the internal metal and plastic with it. Obviously letting it dry before re-assembly.

Or I could move to England where there are no roaches….

Insects have always been a problem with anything electronic.

You ever wondered why a problem with a computer program is called a ” bug ”

In the early days of computers consisting of simple vacuum tubes and mechanical relays it was not uncommon for moths and other insects to be attracted to the warmth and light and then get trapped between the contacts of a relay. Thus disabling it.

Yep, the first ” Bugs ” in computing were actually bugs.

    https://www.gbnews.com/royal/prince-harry-jill-biden-meghan-markle-us-election-news

I have ranted a bit about this before and I doubt anyone took me seriously. But maybe you should.

Harry has the IQ of a slice of toast. But he is an utterly malevolent personality driven by jealously on a brain fried by drugs. He married a whore who captured him by supporting all his worst traits, telling him he was right (Princess of Wales is another story).

As ridiculous as it sounds, Meghan Markle thinks she can be POTUS. That the Bidens think giving them any notice should tell you something. There’s $$ involved.

Harry turned 40 today. He was due about 8 million pounds (however that translates to dollars) from the Queen Mother’s estate on his 40th bday. Princess Ann is the executor of the estate and it makes sense to me that she would have been guided by her brother’s, the King, advice. He has cancer and doesn’t need any crap from his wayward sperm. So I expect Harry got a bday present.

And got to meet Jill Biden with his skank wife right behind him

When I was in Huton (Kinky Friedman’s pronounciation) I used bug bombs. I’d set one off, go to work, come back and open the windows. All clear… until my next door neighber did the same, and all the roaches would come back. We played roach pong for months.

    But you have cats.

I used to do the bug bomb thing. ” hey cats let us all go outside and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine for a few hours ”

Everything in the apartment then felt greasy, attracted dust and dirt.

And the roaches were all there and yelling in a squeaky high pitched voice ” where have you been all afternoon daddy! “

She talked about that. Very funny. I remember from her speech she had different lengths of wire to show speeds of communication.

When we met I asked “A MOTH? Really?” And she said “Biggest moth I ever saw too” And laughed and laughed

In my early days I had to maintain a ‘computer’ known as a 1401. That, I believe, was the machine she found the moth in. I learned a lot from her. She was just very practical.

Compilers. God, she was brilliant. And SO under-recognized. Having children didn’t work out for me, but if I’d had a daughter, I would have named her Grace.

Supporters of former President Donald J. Trump have been stricken with a mystery illness after attending a rally in Tuscon, Arizona. Multiple rallygoers who were seated behind the America First leader last Thursday were left with eye injuries, with one reporting that medical staff suspected she had been sprayed with something.“As soon as we left and we stepped outside, my eyes were burning,” said rallygoer Mayra Rodriguez, speaking to local media. “The emergency room staff, from the triage nurse to the PA [Physicians Assistant], asked, ‘Are you sure you didn’t get sprayed with something? Your symptoms look like you got sprayed with something,’” she recalled. Investigators from News 4 Tucson said she was “nearly blind” when they spoke to her on Friday.

Not playing the game any more. It is severely disrupting my sleep schedule and my diet.

Woke up at 4:30pm and went into the kitchen to microwave my mug of water to make coffee. Do not have a coffee maker anymore because the roaches were living in the water tank.

Anyway, microwave unplugged. Toaster plugged in. Also kitchen looked like I had squatters living there. A couple of dirty pans and a nasty looking plate. More disturbing was no more beer in the fridge.

According to spreadsheet seems I had a very nice fry up. Two eggs, bacon, buttered toast times two, cheese. 700 calories on top of the beer that went missing.

LOL all was logged. I don’t remember the 3am meal, I know it was 3am because looking at browser history last entry was 3:23am.

Yesterday I tried a new way of living, I did a meal plan for today. I was very pleased with myself!

Plan was to try to get in ketosis again, or whatever Bunk wants to call it, so high in fat, high in protein but very low in carbs. Do that for two or three days then take a piss test.

If it went as planned today menu would have been.

Breakfast- 1oz of raw bacon, chopped, fried a little then 6oz frozen chopped spinach added. Served by topping it with two poached eggs.

Lunch- 6oz plain Greek yoghurt mixed with a scoop of whey protein powder. When mixed together it has the consistency of something you would use to repair cracks in a wall.

Supper- Cauliflower with grated parmesan and alfredo sauce, 3oz liver and 1oz bacon. No onion as onion is relatively high in carbs.

Total would have been 955 calories, 45g fat, 96g protein and 21g carbs.

That was the plan! However when I crawled out of bed this afternoon my daily calories were at 1600.

Today is a bust, will try again tomorrow.

As it is slow in here at the moment one thing I have learned when counting calories is that bread is a sneaky weight loss enemy.

Example, one slice of sourdough bread, the serving size and who makes a sandwich using only one slice unless it is when making lunch for a two year old. One slice is 120 calories. That means you are at 240 calories even before you start building your sandwich!

Lightly spread on 1/4oz mayo, I say lightly as we are counting calories here. 45 calories.

Then go nuts, indulge yourself and fuck the diet. Place TWO slices of bologna on the bread. 180 calories, 90 per slice.

So, the bread wrapping your sandwich is more calories than what is in the sandwich.

My point? If you are making a sandwich do not go all nuts and healthy about what is actually in that sandwich.

Keto is very low carb, but I like bread. Keto bread is available but it is 4-5 times the price per ounce and it is not the same taste as real bread.

Just going to start getting that again. Actually it is about same calories per ounce but no or very little carbs. It has more fiber, fat and protein.

    Boring technical post.

Currently running on the HP prodesk that Glen pissed on and destroyed. It has two Display ports and a VGA connector. His urine killed the VGA port, so using the DP to HDMI cable that arrived yesterday.

I think it is time to put it back together and use it for real. Reason I am testing it when it is in bits is that to take the motherboard out and wash it in alcohol is to do that I had to remove the heatsink and fan from the CPU chip. That involves slime….

To get a good thermal contact between the CPU chip and the heat sink there is slime.

Was careful not to disturb the slime, when putting it all back together in a different world I would have added fresh slime.

Anyway, I got lucky, running it and monitoring the CPU temperature and it seems like what was left of the slime is enough.

A cool CPU is a happy CPU!

Remember when Joe made Peter #Stzrok’s wife Melisa #Hodgson acting head of #SEC Enforcement day after inauguration and she did nothing to #Hunter’s broker dealer, which even I could have prosecuted on the accounting fraud alone? I do.

n April 2024, Col. Earl Matthews, general counsel for DC National Guard, gave a detailed account as to how Army Sec Ryan McCarthy was unreachable the afternoon of Jan 6 for final authorization to deploy guard.

Matthews also discussed Gen. Milley’s suspicious conduct before J6

    @ eaglesoars:

I’ve read COL Matthews’ report. People should be in prison.

    But they’re not

President Trump requested “sufficient National Guard or Soldiers to make sure it’s a safe event.”

Milley & others, including Pelosi, “unnecessarily delayed the DC National Guard response to the Capitol…due to “optics” concerns.”

They framed President Trump so they could try to nail him with their “insurrection” BS.

It’s all failed. And these criminals will have to answer for their actions.

I hope they have plans to fix the issues with PA, where they just ruled that signatures and dates on absentee ballots are minor details that shouldn’t keep them from being counted.

Some of the bears in their zoos wave at the visitors and those bears are people in bear suits.

I hope thousands, or tens of thousands of non-citizens vote.

Not just “undocumented” but also Green Card holders.

The easy way is to ban US citizens from voting. At least the gummint knows who we are.

To expand on that. A US citizen who is a convicted felon cannot vote. How long that lasts after a conviction I do not really know.

The penalty for a convicted felon voting is 5 years.

Or drink more cheap red wine with bugs in it.

I was wondering why I have not taken a shit in more than a week.

    Spreadsheet explained it to me.

    530 calories and very yummy.

    Bed time!
