Mrs RW met with the surgeon yesterday, and the news couldn’t have been much better.

She’s got a pea-sized lump, so they’ll be able to treat with a lumpectomy & lymphedema. She’ll probably have the surgery next Friday.

After the surgery, she’ll have 15 radiation treatments and be on some kind of pill for 5 years.

The lymphedema will last either 3 or 5 years IIRC.

There’s about a 3% chance of recurrence, and a 99% 5 year survival. Since there’s a history of cancer in her family, she’d thought about a mastectomy, but the numbers are the same either way.

They’re also doing a DNA screening for her, and she’ll pass that on to her nieces.

After we met the surgeon, we stopped by a cancer support organization here, and they are incredible! They have resources like housing & transportation support (for people outside the area), support groups, a tabbed notebook so you can keep track of symptoms, questions for your doctor, people who are supporting you, thoughts, etc organized. For people going through chemo, they can give you wigs, hats, scarves or turbans. They give a quilt and pillow for you, and a support teddy bear. And all this is at no cost.

As her support, I got a little booklet on how to best support her, and my own quilt.

I wish there was a group like this where her friend is, since she’s on her own.

    Technical post.

When disposing of old/dead laptops take the hard drive out. If it is a newer laptop remove the SSD card.

    Then throw it away.

Same thing with desktops and any 1970s era mainframes you have in the garage.

Destroy the hard drives. There is an easy way to do it and a hard way. TThe hard way gets you a couple of really strong kick ass magnets that once you use one to stick your favorite crayon drawing a small child did it ain’t coming off in a hurry.

Easy way is put on eye protection and drill holes in it through the platters. But that is no fun.

Hard way is take it apart, you will probably need a set of tiny screwdrivers with a Torx bit. The star shaped ones. Also some of the screws are cunningly hidden underneath innocent looking sticky labels.

Take it apart then bend or scratch the platters, then throw it all away. Oh do not forget to save the magnets! You will recognise them. That is what your screwdriver is stuck to.

The platters used to be made of aluminum or some other alloy coated in basically rust. Ferric oxide or other exotic magnetic materials, so platters are easily bent.

Just did a dead 2 1/2 inch 1TB hard drive, screws were tiny, too tiny for my tools so I brute forced my way into it and intended to damage the platters that way.

Got in there, twisted the big manly screwdriver to distort the platters and they shattered. They were made of glass or some ceramic.

I am going to be picking shards of broken glass out of my socks for weeks.

So, recommendation when disposing of any hard drives, eye protection and a drill, fuck playing with the magnets.

Very good news. They may give her a choice for radiation treatments – either every two weeks or every three weeks. Choose the former, the dosage will be lower so side effects will be less severe.

I didn’t have radiation, but I spoke with some patients who did. One guy in his late 30s said radiation was a breeze compared to the chemo side effects. His reaction was non-stop hiccups.

    Your wife will be fine.

The pills she’ll be on I guess will kind of bring back the fun days of menopause.

Yes, this is about the best news we could have hoped for.

I’m glad she’s so much on top of those mammograms. It’d have been easy to just blow it off after the broken arm, but another year for that crap to grow could have made a big difference.

Here are the full details that can now be shared regarding the IDF’s covert operations in southern Lebanese villages over recent months:

    – More than 70 special operations took place, with IDF forces spending over 200 nights inside enemy territory in southern Lebanon.
    – Some operations lasted 2-3 consecutive days within southern Lebanon.
    – Numerous IDF special units were involved in these missions.
    – During the operations, forces entered Hezbollah tunnels, destroyed weapons on-site, rigged explosives, and brought back weapons and intelligence documents to Israel.

In two operations over the past few months, IDF forces sustained casualties—one due to an explosion of their own rigged explosives and another from the detonation of an old, unexploded bomb left in the area. Hezbollah did not detect these operations, and no encounters or battles occurred with terrorists.

These missions were carried out within 2-3 kilometers of the Israeli border in the surrounding village zone.

    **Examples of operations:**
    1. **Lebouna area (dense open terrain)**: The IDF located an underground bunker leading to a tunnel that the forces entered. The area was a staging ground for three Radwan battalions. The units found underground rooms and a large amount of weaponry.

    2. **Ayta a-Shab area**: Dozens of underground shafts were destroyed in the area during various operations. Several rocket launchers and over 10 weapon storage sites were eliminated. Tunnels were discovered, 20-25 meters deep, extending into the mountain and reaching the village of Ayta a-Shab itself.

    3. **Mis al-Jabal village**: A multi-night operation was conducted to locate an underground tunnel. Forces entered homes in the village and found a weapons depot intended for a full Radwan company, preparing for an invasion of the Galilee. A 12-meter deep shaft with a tunnel leading 30 meters from the Israeli border was discovered.

    4. **Kila village (opposite Metula)**: A tunnel was found, with its entrance inside a children’s room in a building. It took the forces significant time to locate the tunnel under the children’s bed. Inside the tunnel were weapons for a full Radwan company. Large explosives were found in two houses, just meters from the border fence, meant for breaching the wall in a surprise attack. In the tunnel, bags and equipment were located, ready for the rapid resupply of Radwan forces.

According to the IDF, these dozens of special operations were a preparation for the ground maneuver that began last night, aimed at reaching these areas on a much larger scale and openly destroying the remaining infrastructure. This includes sealing the underground tunnels that couldn’t be sealed in the smaller, covert operations.

Matt Taibbi: “So let me pause to say something about America’s current intellectual class from which the anti-disinformation complex works. By the way, there are no working class censors. The dirty secret of content moderation all over the world is that it’s a tiny sliver of educated rich correcting everybody else. It’s telling people what fork to use, but you can get a degree in it, basically.

The problem is America has the most useless aristocrats in history.
Even the French dandies who were marched to the razor by the Jacobins were towering specimens of humanity compared to the Michael Hadens, John Brennan’s, James Clapper’s, Mike McFall’s, and Rick Stengel’s who make up America’s self-appointed speech police. In pre-revolutionary France, even the most drunken, depraved, debauched libertine had to be prepared to back up an insolent act with a sword fight to the death.
Our aristocrats pee themselves at a mean tweet.

These people have no honor, no belief, no poetry, no art, no humor, no patriotism, which is unique to them, no loyalty, no dreams, and no accomplishments. They are simultaneously illiterate and pretentious, which is very hard to pull off.

They may have one idea, and it’s not even an idea, but a sensation. Fear. Rightly so, because they snitch each other out at the drop of a hat. They’re afraid of each other. But they’re also terrified of everyone outside their social set, and they live in near constant dread of being caught with even one original opinion.”</i

Trump should spend some of that campaign money on a ‘fireside chat’ kinda thing in which he goes right down the list of all the bs the msm has told ‘you, the American people’.
There are still a whole helluva lotta people who sit down in front of the ‘boob tube’ and just TRUST everything that comes out of th3e mouths of the ‘news anchors’, like its 1963.Uncle Walter told us, it has to be true. Besides, he was dressed in a jacket and tie / she was wearing pearl necklace, matching earrings and her HAIR !! They MUST be telling us the truth’. Actually, I don’t think they even put THAT much thought into it.
I know this is nothing mind-bending observation on my part, the term ‘boob tube’ has been around since I was a kid and thats saying something.
WHY it doesn’t occur to them, the advisors too, I can’t figure.
Maybe they think ‘No one believes all that nonsense’, why waste my time ?’
I believe that the average American jut believes what they are told and votes accordingly. Critical thinking skill are LONG gone.

The day I finally became ‘woke’ (I woke up) was the day I heard some guy on my vans AM radio say the exact opposite of what Rather, Jennings, Brocaw told me the night before, which was: ‘Saddams elite ‘Republican Guard’ will kick our guys asses, our tanks can’t handle the sand’. They had me worried. However, Rush in his confident voice said, paraphrasing: ‘Our military will kick their asses within a week and be back home by the weekend’. He was right.
I kept cable only because my kids were still young and what the heck, whats a Saturday morning without ‘Bugs’ ? Once they moved out though, bam, good bye cable and the stinkin’, lyin’msm’.
I think the majority of Americans still rely on being told the news by their favorite msm LIARS and their ‘Two Minutes Hate’ Orwell so accurately predicted.. Until they figure it out, our country will remain split.

I invented a new food game yesterday. The Brussels Sprouts and Walmart cheap meatballs game.

Steam the sprouts, air fry the meatballs then mix them together with cream cheese, parmesan and alfredo. The balls and the sprouts are EXACTLY the same size!

Now the game, first try was using a fork and guessing whether it was a sprout or a ball before eating it, butt that was too easy. Texture is different when you stab it.

So as I do not cheat I switched to using a spoon. Great game, every spoonful was a surprise.

I am glad there are more sprouts and balls left for my breakfast.

    Trumpification

As a verb: To TRUMPIFY–When a prosecutor tortures statutes in order to come up with a flimsy indictment against a political opponent. Example: Jack Smith Trumpified Donald Trump by using 18 USC 1512 in his J6 indictment since 1512 has nothing to do with the procedures in the Joint Session of Congress to certify the Electoral Vote.

Trumpify–“I shall Trumpify Mayor Adams of NYC for opposing runaway migration.” Future tense.

Trumpified–“I Trumpified Mayor Adams for opposing runaway migration.” Past Tense

    As a Noun:

Trumpification—“I think Trumpification should be a crime under federal law.”

Craig has an excellent post on the ILA, but what’s missing is a deep dive into the organization they’re negotiating with: USMX

If the ILA is “bad”, USMX is possibly worse

    Who are they and why?

USMX (United States Maritime Alliance) represents shipping companies, port operators, and other maritime players along the U.S. East and Gulf coasts. Their role? To negotiate labor contracts and operational policies with dockworker unions like the ILA, ensuring smooth port operations.

But here’s where it gets tricky: despite its American identity, USMX is heavily influenced by foreign interests, including massive overseas corporations like the China-controlled COSCO Shipping.

Although USMX is supposed to represent U.S. interests, foreign-controlled companies within the alliance have significant sway over key decisions. Why? These large companies, with deeper pockets and bigger fleets, control more resources, giving them outsized influence in decision-making. Here’s how they wield their power:

1.Board Representation: Foreign shipping giants often hold significant seats on USMX’s board, shaping agendas and steering decisions.
2.Economic Clout: The financial contributions of the largest foreign ship owners give them more say in how resources are allocated within the alliance, often to suit their own interests.
3.Committees and Expertise: Employees from these companies often lead technical committees, giving them control over critical policy recommendations.
4.Strategic Coalitions: These companies form alliances with other members to drive consensus on issues that benefit them, amplifying their collective influence.
5.Information Access: With access to greater data and resources, they can craft well-founded proposals that steer USMX’s strategy.

So, while USMX negotiates with American dockworkers, foreign ship owners shape these labor negotiation policies.

When USMX prioritizes keeping trade flowing by catering to foreign interests, the U.S. risks losing control over its own critical shipping infrastructure, raising concerns for national security and long-term economic stability. /1

And I’ve just found out why

    https://x.com/ryantyre/status/1841583311782568064

If you are wondering why citizens are being turned away that are coming to help NC and TN – you’ll want to hear my experience as someone who has been doing this as a private citizen for almost a decade.

I was able to get into, and out of Asheville. We brought food, water, fuel and other supplies as well as helped people affected by the floods, but there are reasons why they are not allowing outside help.

I cannot confirm the reasons why in NC, but i can tell you the reasons in other storms i have worked – i’ll explain below.

Let me share with you the first disaster area that i finally realized that this was all about money.

In the FL Keys with Hurricane Irma, after Texas got hit with Harvey, we finished our efforts in Texas and were the first citizen team to make it to Key Largo.

The federal agencies had US1 shut down just South of Key Largo and wouldn’t let anyone in or out, even though the road was okay to pass.

We explained to them that we had boats, Jet skis, food, water, chainsaws and fuel to bring these people.

They didn’t care and wouldn’t let us in.

It was night by that point and you rarely saw the lights of vehicles in the distance on the individual keys, meaning the emergency response teams from FEMA weren’t even working, it was all quiet.

We decided that we would go in anyways.

We filled up the boats and jet skis with all that we could reasonably carry and went by water, around all their BS blockades and around their law enforcement presence on the water.

It was 87 miles by water to get to our first stop, Cudjoe Key and Sugarloaf Key.

When we arrived there we were greeted by a homeowner (for privacy, I won’t name him, though we have video) who was elated to see us and all the supplies we brought, his house was in shambles.

We started offloading supplies on the shoreline and helping to get them into what was left of his house.
During that process, he explained to us that FEMA had set up a command center at a local high school on the island, but that they weren’t doing anything to help the residents, not even bringing them WATER!

Instead, he explained that they were driving around using a loudspeaker, telling people to stay in their homes. They weren’t even helping the home owners with supplies.

I was skeptical at first while he was telling me all of this, but then he said something that broke my heart….

He told us that the people of the keys were all in despair, because they had just seen, weeks before, the overwhelming support for Texas with Hurricane Harvey, by the citizens of this country. He, and his neighbors on all of the keys, felt like Americans had forgotten about them completely, because at this point, FIVE DAYS after landfall, all they had seen was FEMA, and they were of NO HELP.

The residents were cut off from the outside world, no cellular, no internet, no way to contact anyone or hear of any efforts to try to help them.

The ONLY communication they had was from a local radio station on Sugarloaf Key, that was broadcasting on AM to the surrounding keys.

The man, after hearing that there were citizens trying to bring them help, but being refused entry by federal law enforcement was visibly upset. He, and his neighbors, really thought the country had abandoned them.

He insisted that we get into his waterlogged truck and that he would take us to that radio station so that we could go live on air, to tell the citizens trapped in the Keys that we, the American people, were there to help and that the government was trying to stop our efforts.

And that is exactly what we did.

After that, we were determined to help as many people as we could, but we were met with red tape throughout the whole process and time we were in the keys.

We finally we able to talk some authorities to let us down to the Faro Blanco Resort in Marathon towards the end of Boot Key. This was the same hotel where state and local authorities were staging their personnel and they were happy to see us.

I was able to coordinate several trucks full of supplies to be brought down to the EOC in Marathon. I was privy to the EOC meeting, BUT was informed in that meeting, that all of the semi trucks full of food, water and hygiene supplies were to be turned around and not allowed to be offloaded for distribution by the EOC.

THE REASON they gave us, was that these donations were not from companies on their “preferred vendors list” and that they would not accept them or give them to the residents of the keys impacted by the storm.

It was at that point that I realized, this is ALL ABOUT MONEY.

These ‘preferred vendors” are getting part of the money being released by the state and federal govt for each disaster. In turn, some of the “vendors” make it on the list because a friend gets them on the list, and in return for getting ridiculously outlandish amounts of compensation for the services they render, they give kickbacks.

So accepting outside donations, even though they are on location and can help people NOW, they would rather let people suffer so they can get their kickbacks.

This meeting solidified my resolve to help these people, regardless of what the greedy officials wanted, we were going to feed the lower keys that were being neglected.

I diverted ALL SEMI TRUCKS to the Faro Blanco Resort in Marathon and filled the entire first floor with pallets upon pallets of food, water and essential supplies and created a food pantry for residents to come and get anything, and however much they needed.

From local state troopers to the homeless, all were given wheel barrels and free reign to get anything they needed.

We also delivered supplies down to Big Pine Key. We helped establish the tent city on Big Pine Key. Big companies like Titos Vodka and Whelen just kept bringing trucks full of everything that was needed. When FEMA FINALLY started handing out boxes of canned goods (limited to one per household), we were filing cars full of food and supplies for people and pets.

There is so much more to the story in the Keys and further from there in other storms we worked- the common theme though, is that the federal government always tries to keep citizens from helping and the local authorities, the ones that live and work in the area are always happy to have outside help.

I call out to Elon Musk and anyone else who can monetarily help people like myself and those that work with me, who have the knowledge and the will to help those devastated by these disasters.

Help us side step the red tape and get the people the relief they need.

We are willing, and we are many, and we are ready.

I’ve followed this account for months. Solid.

Finally spoke to my guy in D.C. Geesh, much to unpack from that conversation. So, here it is in a nutshell:

There is a significant uptick in chatter and terror threat in the upcoming weeks. The FBI is currently tracking several legitimate terrorist threats inside the United States at this very moment. There is better than a 50/50 chance of a terror attack in the United States leading up to the election.

Harris campaign internal polling is very bad. There is a full-blown crisis in the campaign right now. Watch for full blown MSM blitz on negativity with Trump and Vance and a couple planted stories. There was talk about a brand-new Russian collusion hoax.

United States is putting pressure on Israel not to escalate the Iran situation, Israel has been ignoring the United States to this point, they are expected to retaliate within the next week against Iran.

The Trump rally in Wisconsin which was moved indoors due to lack of proper amount of security was not the real reason. Credible threats against Donald Trump tied to an assassination “Team” with ties to Iran is in the United States. There is an expectation of another attempt at Donald Trump’s life.

If you can vote early, please vote early. There is an expectation that voting day problems will happen this year and some may be extensive. He did not come out and say the cheat is on, he would never do that, he said there is an expectation of widespread problems due to foreign actors. There is a “Determined” effort to keep Donald Trump from winning the election.

This needs to go far and wide to put pressure on the government to do the right thing and save lives.

This evening, from a Peak Prosperity member to me via PM at my site:

Them: I can’t post this online because it’s not quite public yet, but government officials had a town meeting with all of the residents of chimney rock and basically told them the town was being bulldozed, bodies and all and the land was being seized by the federal government they would not be able to move back and basically their homes the ones that were standing were no longer theirs and the federal government owned it all. I don’t know what crazy play for land this is, but there’s a lot of conspiracy about lithium mines and let me just tell you, as someone who lives in Charlotte and has friends who live in the area of Western North Carolina, they are not being helped and this is actually being a stand down operation by federal government

Me: What the heck…? That’s quite disturbing. Is this first-hand, second-hand, or more distant info?

Them: Our friend owns an Airbnb in Chimney Rock. They had a town meeting yesterday and someone from the federal government told them all of those things in the town meeting, but doesn’t want the information getting out. Also, they are not picking up the bodies. The stench of the bodies everywhere is insane and for some reason, the government does not want to pick up the bodies. One pastor of a local church was going to order to door delivering water and they changed their delivery request to body bags because so many of the homes that they’ve gone to have needed body bags, we’re trying to keep the body count. They’re not picking up the bodies. They don’t wanna identify the bodies and they’re just leaving them to rot in the streets.

Me: I…can’t…even. I’m stunned. This is beyond anything I could have imagined even very recently. You always pick up and bury the dead. It’s what humans do. They are violating every possible custom … on purpose. Thank you for keeping me informed. People need to know about this. Let me know when you’d be comfortable with me posting to our forums in an anonymized fashion, of course.

Them: You can post it the message needs to get out. Something evil is going on in the NC mountains. I just didn’t want to be identified. Just today we filled up a trailer for a shelter in Hendersonville NC that had no food for tons of moms and babies. All the stores round are empty or locked. In Chandler NC 2000 people haven’t eaten anything or drank in 6 days and just got an SOS message out for help. I’m trying to tag the Cajun navy and operation airdrop but people are dying by the minute.

Multiple tuckers have reported having tires slashed. Our friends from Chimney Rock said they have heard multiple stories of people being robbed at gunpoint making supply runs. Two people that drove down to Charlotte yesterday and today one that we helped said bodies in trees, all over ditches in major roads back. Something weird is going on here in NC.

Me: God bless you. Let me know if I can help.

Them: Someone with a large national megaphone needs to amplify how bad it is. People are now starting to die trapped. My town is Operation Air Drop NC central command. They need pilots with planes and now are asking just for trucks. People with big equipment are needed but more than anything the nation needs to put pressure on Washington to deploy the National Guard asap. The 82nd was begging to go since Saturday but has been told to stand down. Every fucking Apache we have should be flying rescue missions. Please amplify the message!!!

That caused me to come out of the dream and start to wake up. Much like when you dream of having to find a place to pee and in fact you need to.

So I woke up, so did Natasha and she was angry!

I had my finger in her mouth.

Natasha has no gaping wound on her neck. I checked, several times.

This is a long thread I’m going to extract from

    https://x.com/MargoinWNC/status/1841600283056734233

    ————————-

Hurricane Helene was the strongest hurricane (in recorded history) to hit Florida’s big bend region (on the eastern edge of the panhandle). It is the deadliest hurricane to hit the United States since Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
    .
    .
First, we had a lot of rain before Hurricane Helene even showed up. Depending on the area, we had 7-11 inches of rain in the week before the first storm clouds of the hurricane arrived. This rain saturated the ground and filled ponds and streams.
    .
    .
The reason she stalled involves atmospheric pressure conditions that I don’t fully understand, but the result was that this hurricane dropped 20 inches to over 30 inches of rain in some areas… that’s an estimated 40 trillion gallons of rain.
    .
    .
How much is 40 trillion gallons of water?

40 trillion gallons of water is enough to fill the Dallas Cowboy’s stadium 51,000 times.

40 trillion gallons of water is enough to cover the entire state of North Carolina with 3.5 FEET of water.

40 trillion gallons of water is enough to fill 60 MILLION Olympic-sized swimming pools.

40 trillion gallons of water is 619 DAYS of water flowing over Niagara Falls.
    .
    .
The southeastern slopes (of western North Carolina) and the northwestern slopes (of East Tennessee) acted as funnels or rain catchments that directed all this water downhill and concentrated it into streams and rivers running into the valleys. It overflowed these streams and rivers causing massive flooding.
    .
    .

The French Broad River usually crests at 1.5 feet… but it reached 24.6 feet during the storm.

The Nolichuckey River rose to almost 22 feet. The Nolichuckey River Dam in Greene County, during the peak of the flooding, took on 1.2 MILLION gallons of water per SECOND. Compare that to Niagara Falls which peaks at 700,000 gallons per second. Fortunately, this dam held… but barely, with damage.
    .
    .
    Why weren’t people prepared?

No one in the mountains of North Carolina or East Tennessee prepares for a hurricane.

It’s kind of like asking why someone in Iowa doesn’t prepare for a tidal wave or why someone in Florida doesn’t prepare for a blizzard. It’s not what happens, like ever.
    .
    .
This was a combination of already rain-saturated ground before the hurricane hit, the hurricane/storm stalling over this region dumping unprecedented amounts of rainfall in a small area, and the geography of mountains channeling and concentrating all this water into the valleys below that created a perfect storm, so to speak, of conditions that caused this disaster.

The FBI Entraps Another Fake Assassin

Two attempts on the life of a former president, less than two months apart, is unprecedented in American history. And yet it’s not entirely surprising given that the country’s most powerful institutions and industries have spent the last eight years weaponizing the most suggestible and mentally ill of our citizenry to target Donald Trump and his supporters. Now it seems the FBI may be recruiting from abroad as well.

According to the Trump campaign, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence recently briefed the Republican candidate on “real and specific threats from Iran to assassinate him in an effort to destabilize and sow chaos in the United States.” The Secret Service was alerted to the threat before the July 13 attempt on Trump’s life and reportedly increased his security because of it. But that was not enough to stop Thomas Matthew Crooks from shooting Trump in the face, killing Corey Comperatore, and wounding two other attendees.

There’s little doubt the Iranians are targeting Trump, say former intelligence officials with whom I spoke. “The Iranians are promiscuous assassins, and they hate Trump more than anyone else on earth,” says Peter Theroux, a retired CIA officer who worked on Iran and related issues during his tenure at Langley. “Trump enforced sanctions against Iran. He moved the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem. He was the most antithetical to everything Tehran wants, including the triumphal visit to Riyadh he made for his first presidential trip in 2017.”

But above all, there’s the fact Trump ordered the January 2020 assassination of Qasem Soleimani, onetime chief of the Quds Force, the external operations unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), and second in command only to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The Iranians have vowed to avenge the terror master’s death and have threatened not only the former president but also former Trump administration officials, including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Iran envoy Brian Hook, National Security Advisor John Bolton, and his successor Robert O’Brien. In August 2022, the Justice Department charged an IRGC officer for plotting to kill Bolton.

The Islamic Republic definitely has it out for Trump, but it seems this most recent Iranian plot to kill the Republican candidate was hatched by the FBI.

    US elections:
Are the US Democrats planning a violent takeover of power using criminal migrants?

A Russian investigation claims that in the event of an election defeat or a close election result, the US Democrats will use illegal immigrants and drug cartels to create unrest and retain power by force.

    by Anti-Spiegel
    October 3, 2024 08:00 am
The migration policy of the US Democrats has long been a mystery, as it allows illegal migrants to enter the country unchecked, which is not good for any country and in any case increases crime. The fact that the US government under the Democrat Obama urged Europe in 2015 to allow the flow of refugees to enter Europe unchecked was entirely understandable, as the US thereby weakened its economic competitor, the EU. Why the US Democrats also want to weaken their own country with unchecked immigration raises questions, however.

The most frequently cited possible justification is that the immigrants should at some point receive US citizenship, for example as part of a kind of blanket amnesty, because the majority of them are considered to be Democratic voters, which should secure the Democrats’ power in the USA in the long term.

The USA and the Controlled Chaos
However, there are other possible explanations. Over the last 20 to 30 years, the USA has perfected its ability to direct apparent chaos through countless color revolutions in various countries. The principle has also already been used in the USA, because the BLM movement, which caused chaos in the USA in the 2020 election year, was previously financed by supporters of the US Democrats with over 100 million dollars and activated at the “right time” to cause chaos in the USA, which in turn would harm Donald Trump in the elections.

In December 2020, as soon as it was clear that Biden was the winner of the election, the Democrats cracked down on the BLM movement just as quickly and harshly as Trump had previously demanded, but for this he was demonized by the pro-Democratic media. The old saying “The Moor has done his duty, the Moor can go” has rarely been more apt.

And to make sure that worked, the founders of BLM were paid generously and one of them subsequently spent several million dollars buying a fancy villa in a suburb of Los Angeles where 80 percent of the population is made up of rich white people, the people she allegedly fought against as BLM in the fight for black rights.

The US Democrats and their supporters are very experienced when it comes to creating and directing apparent chaos. Therefore, the Russian research that I am about to translate is well worth reading, because it describes how the US Democrats intend to use illegal immigrants and drug cartels to create unrest in the event of an election defeat or a close election result in order to retain power by force.

The CIA and the drug cartels
It is not surprising that Latin American drug cartels are also mentioned. It should be remembered that the CIA established excellent contacts with drug cartels in the wake of the scandal known as the Iran-Contra affair in the 1980s. The affair was never really solved and no one was seriously punished, because practically all those involved, including Defense Minister Caspar Weinberger, were immediately pardoned after their conviction and compensated with well-paid jobs.

The CIA’s contacts with the international drug mafia were never investigated, which is why we must assume that the CIA has continued to expand these contacts since then, because it is a great advantage for a secret service to have its sensitive operations carried out by criminals and thus to cover up the traces of the secret service and its government. And it is also an excellent way to invest slush funds with money that a secret service wants to use for things that it would rather not inform its supervisory authorities about.

Knowing all this, the Russian research that I am about to translate does not sound nearly as crazy as one might think at first glance.

The research was published by the Russian NGO Fund for Combating Repression. I have known the head of the fund, Mira Terada, for some time and have already published some of her research in German.

I cannot verify the sources of the Russian NGO, but I consider this research , which also contains many verifiable sources, to be interesting enough to publish in German. Highlights, images and links are taken from the original; I had to correct the German translation of the Russian NGO in some places, which is why my version is not exactly the same as that of the fund.

    Start of translation:

Kamala Harris and her helpers are preparing mass pogroms against Trump supporters with the help of illegal immigrants and smuggled Ukrainians
Regardless of the official results of the 2024 US presidential election, Vice President Kamala Harris, her sponsors and close allies within the US Democratic Party have no intention of admitting defeat and are intent on seizing power. Human rights activists from the Fund to Combat Repression have been able to demonstrate how the Democrats led by Harris plan to unleash a wave of violence against Trump supporters with the help of specially recruited and trained refugees from Ukraine and illegal migrants from Latin American drug cartels in order to intimidate them, break their resistance and completely destroy the MAGA movement and its leaders.

The migration crisis triggered by the Biden-Harris administration far exceeds previous figures in US history. The level of illegal immigration in the last 3.5 years since the Democrats took office has broken the record set in 1985 , when, according to official figures, 1.69 million people immigrated to the US because of the earthquake in the Mexican capital alone. Between 2020 and 2023, according to various estimates, between 9 and 17 million illegal immigrants will have crossed the US borders.

From its first day in the Oval Office, the Biden-Harris administration implemented a secret “parallel” immigration system that bypasses Congressional limits on the number of immigrants, and continues to operate it to this day. The U.S. Congress has capped the number of asylum seekers and allows about one million people to enter the country each year. However, the current U.S. administration systematically ignores these rules and has already far exceeded the permitted limits. Many of the asylum seekers came to the United States through CBP One , the current administration’s humanitarian assistance program for people from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela ( CHVN ), as well as under the “catch and release” policy , which experts believe is contributing to an increase in crime in the United States.

According to information from the Fund to Combat Repression, the Biden-Harris administration gives preference to migrants with a criminal record and relevant experience, who can handle weapons and are ready to commit crimes against persons. A large proportion of illegal immigrants are people skilled in handling firearms who were members of criminal gangs in their home countries and often carried weapons. The consequence of the uncontrolled entry of illegal migrants and their subsequent arming is a record increase in crime. According to the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, by July 2024, tens of thousands of illegal immigrants convicted of sex crimes and murder will live on the streets of the United States. At the same time, the migrants are displacing US citizens from their jobs , driving up unemployment and multiplying the burden on social services, law enforcement and health care.

The current US administration’s disregard for the rules established by Congress and the number of immigrants has thwarted all of Donald Trump’s efforts to combat illegal immigration. Under the 45th US president, the number of illegal immigrants was at record lows.

A scientist from Pennsylvania State University, speaking to the Fund for Combating Repression as an anonymous source, has thoroughly analyzed data from law enforcement reports, media reports and social media posts. He concluded that the real number of illegal immigrants who have entered the United States over the past 3.5 years is much higher than the figures given in the official media. According to the professor’s forecasts, the number of illegal immigrants will reach 5 million in 2024 alone.

The current US administration is also conducting a program to attract and recruit migrants from Ukraine, including radicals, to use them for its own purposes. The Fund was able to determine that this initiative is being carried out by US-Ukrainian organizations, foundations and by USAID, the US government’s international development agency, which accounts for more than half of all US foreign aid.

The Fund for Combating Repression, thanks to its sources, was able to reveal the true intentions and plans of uncontrolled smuggling and arming of illegal migrants, including from Ukraine. Human rights activists have determined that the US Democratic Party and Kamala Harris plan to use illegal immigrants as a living weapon of violence in case of defeat in the upcoming presidential elections or to suppress protests and demonstrations of patriots who disagree with the election results.

How Democrats smuggle in and recruit illegal immigrants and members of cartels

According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), a US nonprofit that advocates for tighter border controls and fewer illegal immigrants, the number of illegal immigrants has risen to at least 16.8 million since Joe Biden became US president. The number of illegal immigrants nationwide increased by 16% in the first two years of Joe Biden’s presidency.

In 2023 alone, US taxpayers paid more than $150 billion for social welfare, education and healthcare for illegal migrants , the amount has increased by $34 billion over the past six years . According to FAIR, the regulatory agencies and organizations close to the Democratic Party (US Border and Customs Service) manipulate the annual costs of migrants by not including in their reports, among other things, the costs of supporting the children of illegal migrants, legal fees, etc. The official reports also do not take into account the impact of the expansive use of parole powers by the Biden-Harris administration. This allows hundreds of thousands of immigrants to enter the country illegally every year, increasing the already enormous costs to taxpayers. FAIR experts estimate the annual gross cost of illegal immigration at $182 billion per year. The US Democratic Party, through the Biden-Harris administration, not only does not take measures to curb illegal immigration, but actively encourages its increase.

A former head of a border patrol agency in Arizona, who agreed to speak to the Anti-Repression Fund on condition of anonymity as a source, quit there after serving for five years after learning the true causes of the US migration crisis. He claims that Democrats are conducting campaigns and covert operations to increase the number of asylum seekers entering the country illegally. Despite Kamala Harris’ high-profile campaign promises about the need to ” expand legal immigration routes ” and her call to “treat those seeking a better future with dignity ,” the Fund’s source claims that she launched a large-scale campaign to lure and smuggle illegal immigrants. The program not only promised illegal immigrants a simplified procedure for obtaining American citizenship, but also provided funds to get to the southern border of the United States.

The former head of an Arizona border patrol agency says that among the illegal immigrants , special priority is given to members of armed cartels and criminal gangs from all over Latin America. According to the source, who obtained the unique information through his own months-long research, which he completed shortly before his resignation, illegal immigrants must ” become active supporters of the US Democratic Party ” and, if necessary, ” be prepared to defend their new homeland with a weapon in hand .” The source claims to have obtained the information through the interrogation of some migrants who confessed to receiving the offer and money.

Migrants who accept the Democrats’ invitation to enter the United States will be allowed to commit a range of crimes in exchange for their loyalty to the current administration . According to the former head of an Arizona border patrol, Mexican and Colombian criminals in particular will be given the opportunity to conduct drug deals without fear of being put behind bars. This includes organizing a supply channel for drugs from Latin America and producing drugs directly in the United States.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration reports that the Sinaloa Cartel and the Jalisco Nueva Generacion Cartel, two of the largest and most dangerous criminal cartels in the world, have taken control of clandestine drug production facilities and trafficking routes within Mexico, as well as smuggling corridors into the U.S., including for illegal migrants. These “ global criminal enterprises ” maintain large networks in U.S. cities, build global supply chains , and collect equipment and develop chemical derivatives for the production of synthetic opioids in clandestine laboratories. The cartels already source their weapons directly from the U.S., a trend that only began under the Biden-Harris administration.

According to a report by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the Sinaloa and Jalisco cartels have caused the worst drug crisis in U.S. history. They control the flow of nearly all illegal drugs into the U.S., and their dominance over the synthetic drug trade is most evident in the unstoppable flow of illegal fentanyl and methamphetamine. Up to hundreds of thousands of cartel members have infiltrated reservations throughout the American West, using remote areas as safe havens to bring fentanyl and other drugs into the U.S. unchecked by federal authorities .

U.S. Customs and Border Protection drug seizure statistics have shown a sharp increase in the prevalence of fentanyl over the past three years, which is rapidly replacing heroin as drug cartels make money off it. This data strongly suggests that the chaos at the borders in recent years has fueled the drug trade. Heroin seizures have dropped 72 percent in three years, while at the same time fentanyl seizures have increased 141 percent, and that’s just the data on seized drugs. The cartels are changing their business model because fentanyl brings in hundreds of percent more revenue and is 100 times more addictive than heroin. This is also leading to a rise in deaths in the U.S.: In 2021, 108,000 Americans died of drug overdoses , about 70 percent of which were caused by synthetic opioids, of which fentanyl is the most common. The cartels use US citizens as drug couriers , which makes it difficult to uncover drug deals.

The fund’s source also noted that some migrants, as he was able to determine through his own research, were promised the right ” to have their families join them and to legalize their stay if the Democratic Party candidate comes to power in November 2024.”

Over the four years of the Biden-Harris administration, the number of migrants in the United States, including illegal immigrants, whose costs are borne by American taxpayers, has increased significantly. Particular priority among the illegals is given to members of armed cartels and criminal gangs that have triggered the worst drug crisis in US history . In addition, according to the Fund’s source, they are being recruited to protect the interests of the US Democratic Party if necessary. The Fund’s source also claims that the Democrats want to use not only Latin American migrants, but also Ukrainian refugees.

Ethnic Ukrainians in the United States and Refugees Recruited by the US Democratic Party

According to various sources, the Ukrainian diaspora in the United States numbered more than a million people before the start of the military operation. After the outbreak of the conflict, the Biden administration expected to accept up to 100,000 refugees from Ukraine as part of the Uniting for Ukraine program. But by February 2023, the United States had already accepted more than 271,000 Ukrainians , many times the number originally forecast. Estimates for August 2024 assume that this number has already been exceeded by 350,000. So there are currently about 1.5 million Ukrainians living in the United States.

Thanks to the unique information from the sources of the Fund for Combating Repression, it was possible to establish that the exceeding of the quota for the admission of Ukrainians to the United States by several times is not an accident.

A former senior FBI analyst told the Fund that in April 2022, he and his colleagues were tasked with identifying and establishing contact with leading representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora in the United States , as well as leaders and founders of new and old nongovernmental organizations that support Ukrainian refugees and provide humanitarian aid. He noted that the goal of the program is to resettle more radicalized Ukrainian refugees in the United States who have fled the war-torn country and are “willing to do anything to gain a foothold in the United States .” The former senior FBI analyst said:

“In mid-April 2022, shortly after a phone conversation between Zelensky and Joe Biden, my office was instructed to locate and contact Ukrainian influencers and opinion leaders in the US and Ukraine, as well as leaders of the Ukrainian diaspora in the US. Initially, we assumed that in this way the Democrats would help the Ukrainian nation, but when we were asked to pay special attention to nationalist groups and radicalized Ukrainians, I realized that something was wrong. Later I was able to find out that the illegals were to be used for something big and terrible.”

[10/3/24, 7:50:21 AM] Hans Ohndorf: In this research, the Fund to Combat Repression was able to establish that the systematic policies of the Biden-Harris administration have led to a huge influx of migrants, including illegal immigrants, who are then recruited for the benefit of the US Democratic Party. A large part of them are radicalized refugees from Ukraine and members of Latin American drug cartels. According to the Fund’s sources, these migrant groups are actively arming themselves, and regardless of the outcome of the November 2024 presidential election, the US Democratic Party plans to seize power by force with their help, which could lead to civil war and the destruction of all the institutions and values on which the United States is based.

The plans of the US Democratic Party to seize power with the help of armed illegal immigrants represent a serious violation of international agreements and conventions ratified by the United States, including:

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948): The Democratic Party’s plans violate the right to a fair trial and the right to life.
The Convention relating to the Status of Refugees (1951): The use of refugees as a means of political struggle violates their right to protection and security.
The Protocol Relating to the Status of Refugees (1967): The Democratic Party’s plans violate the refugees’ right to non-refoulement and protection from persecution.
The American Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution: These plans contradict the principles of democracy, liberty and equality before the law guaranteed in these documents.
The Fund for Combating Repression condemns such plans of the Democratic Party and calls on the international community to take appropriate measures to prevent the implementation of these dangerous and illegal initiatives. The Fund also calls on American citizens and the international community to protest against these plans and demand that the US government respect international law and democratic principles.

It’s certainly worth reading and digesting.

Earlier today, I saw a video from the Associated Press that was supposedly “fact checking” the “false claims” made by JD Vance during the debate. One of their topics was the claim that there are 20-25 million illegal aliens in the US.

They actually claimed that there are only 11 million illegals in the country. Never mind that they’ve been citing that figure for about the last 20 years. And never mind the fact that the Biden administration’s own figures admit that 10 million people have entered illegally since they took over.

So are we supposed to believe that there were only 1 million in 2021?

Naturally, they disabled comments on their video…

Years ago I did research on that. Talk about putting lipstick on a pig. I got hold of the census people at Bureau of Labor statistics and talked to them.

And they laughed and laughed and laughed.

They stopped asking about anyone’s immigration status back in the census of 1990(?) because the answers were all bullshit. No one was going to admit to being illegal. So they came up with some SWAG algo and they laughed and laughed and laughed.

    Hope that helps

    C-130 Low-cost low-altitude combat airdrops now operational

    Published March 5, 2010
    By Tech. Sgt. Joseph Kapinos
    U.S. AFCENT Combat Camera Team
SOUTHWEST ASIA — U.S. Air Force C-130 aircrews in Afghanistan bring combat supplies to Coalition ground forces every day but a new method of airdrop makes deliveries more accurate and flexible for resupply of small, mobile forces.

A C-130H aircrew deployed to Bagram Airfield conducted the first ever C-130 low-cost low-altitude (LCLA) combat airdrop to re-supply soldiers at a forward operating base Feb. 6, and a proof-of-principle phase continued until the concept became operational March 1st.

According to Colonel Keith Boone, director of the Air Mobility Division at the Combined Air and Space Operations Center here, LCLA airdrops will be a niche augmentation to its cousin, container delivery system (CDS) airdrops.

“Our main method of supply will continue to be through air-land missions – landing at airfields and offloading supplies,” he said. “Where that isn’t possible, we will deliver sustainment requirements through larger scale CDS – everything from ammunition to meals.

“The LCLA drops will meet the needs of a smaller subset of the units,” Colonel Boone said. “This is a significant step forward in our ability to sustain those engaged in counterinsurgency operations throughout Afghanistan.”

A C-130 LCLA airdrop is accomplished by dropping bundles weighing 80 to 500 pounds, with pre-packed expendable parachutes, in groups of up to four bundles per pass.

The drops are termed “low-cost” reflecting the relative expense of the expendable parachutes compared to their more durable, but pricier nylon counterparts. “Low-altitude” alludes to the relative height from which bundles are released from the aircraft.

“Our goal for this mission is to fly to a small forward-operating base and drop some of the smaller bundles to them,” said Lt. Col. Darryl Sassaman, 774th Expeditionary Airlift
Squadron assistant director of operations who flew on the first LCLA combat mission.

“They’re different from the usual, larger bundles, which we normally drop.”

“Depending on the group we’re dropping for, they may not need the mass amount of supplies and equipment, but still need re-supply,” he said. “Utilizing these smaller bundles accomplishes that mission, giving (ground forces) the ability to quickly pick up the supplies and keep moving forward.”

The new airdrop method is another tool airlifters in Afghanistan use to keep ground troops supplied with what they need. In many parts of Afghanistan, rugged terrain and the lack of roads for vehicle convoys make airdrop the only way ground forces get what they need to continue combat operations.

The low-altitude delivery is also more accurate than traditional, higher-altitude airdrop methods and cuts down on “stray bundles” that can land away from the drop zone.

The importance of avoiding those stray bundles was emphasized by Air Mobility Command commander General Raymond Johns, Jr., as part of the briefing prior to the first combat LCLA mission.

“This type of mission has given military members – the ones working in these villages, one day, one yard at a time – another opportunity to be successful,” General Johns said. “A random bundle destroying someone’s property or even worse, hurting someone, can undo all the progress our folks are making within a village.”

In addition to increased accuracy, LCLA drops require no specialized training for parachute riggers and can be dropped from a variety of aircraft.

Because the Air Force has quickly developed this capability, only three aircrews were qualified and flew during the proof-of-principal phase. Additional crews will be trained as the requirement develops.

Flying as part of the crew on the historic Feb. 6 mission was important to the veteran
C-130 pilot and highlights how critical his unit is to the ground forces in Afghanistan.

“It’s pretty amazing to be a part of this particular mission,” he said. “We are here on the front lines, doing the mission. A lot of people think we only re-supply people here with mail and food.

“They tend to forget that our primary customers are the guys on the ground,” Colonel Sassaman said. “This type of airdrop will directly impact and support them in their fight against terrorism.”

The aircrew, deployed from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, planned extensively and trained locally before they could fly the mission. Along with ground training, the crews held mission-planning exercises, trained onboard the aircraft and flew practice runs at high and low altitudes.

For one young loadmaster, the training, as well as the mission, offered the chance of a lifetime.

“This mission is pretty cool,” said Airman 1st Class Kameron Trout, 774th EAS loadmaster. “I have only been in the Air Force for two years and I was selected to do something most people only dream about.

“From now on, I will be known as one of the first people to do this in combat,” he said. “When I look back on my Air Force career, this is something for which I can be truly proud.”

    Look at this utter bullshit

FEMA disaster relief funding — initial “cash” assistance — is $750 per household, not per person.

Must apply online and be approved.

Further cash assistance for food and necessities only goes to families receiving similar SNAP benefits prior to the disaster.

Must provide ID to verify who you are and that you were receiving benefits from other programs before you are approved for FEMA money.

Just received this note from a SpaceX engineer helping on the ground in North Carolina.

    @FEMA
is not merely failing to adequately help people in trouble, but is actively blocking citizens who try to help!

“Hey Elon, update here on site of Asheville, NC. We have powered up two large operating bases for choppers to deliver goods into hands. We’ve deployed 300+ starlinks and outpour is it has saved many lives.

The big issue is FEMA is actively blocking shipments and seizing goods and services locally and locking them away to state they are their own. It’s very real and scary how much they have taken control to stop people helping. We are blocked now on the shipments of new starlinks coming in until we get an escort from the fire dept. but that may not be enough.”

Well, as all the airshow enthusiasts went for an afternoon nap we missed the Thunderbirds! They started their display at 3:30pm Pacific, or at 4:53:00 time stamp on the now archived video feed.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-Y7jcif8zg

The Thunderbirds seem to concentrate on flying very close together in either a diamond shape or a straight line and making a lot of noise. Impressive if you are actually there.

If anyone is bored, contrast this with the Red Arrows, yes obviously I am biased.

They do a lot of flying around as if under the influence of an invisible force field, changing positions. That is for the first half of the display. The number to remember is 9.

The second half things go nuts and a camera cannot really capture all that happens. Remember 9.

LOL you are going to need eyeballs on stalks like Brian the snail to watch what happens.

Anyway this is a decent video of a 2024 Red Arrows display. Notice the heavy clouds. They do different displays depending if thee sky is clear or not. This display was low level, below the clouds and it was raining.

As I said, there are 9 of them. You won’t see all nine together after the 5 minute mark.

Airdropping MREs isn’t really common in civil support situations, mainly because they’re so heavy. A pallet of MREs weighs as much as a car. A number of people were killed during the Kosovo conflict that way, because they didn’t know to get out of the way. And if you open the boxes up and dump them out the back of a plane, they get scattered over a huge area.

The best way to deliver them is by helicopter sling load.

ELECTION INTEGRITY: What if I told you that anyone could go online and claim to be a citizen living overseas, get a ballot, and vote without ever having to prove your identity or citizenship? Sounds crazy, right? What if I told you federal law made it illegal for the state to attempt to verify your identity and citizenship? You don’t even need to use your real name or even the name of a living person. Even crazier, right? Well that’s exactly what the UOCAVA allows and requires.

The census estimates there are less than 3 million Americans living overseas, but the Democrats are telling donors to their Vote From Abroad Program that there are more than 9 million. So anyone with a computer can go to the FVAP website and fill out a few forms and be registered to vote and receive a ballot – you don’t have to provide a real name or address and driver’s license and last four of SSN are all optional (fun fact the state isn’t allowed to confirm the last four of the SSN you provide matches the name or DoB you provided).

This is the case for all 50 states but I specifically confirmed this with the Texas Secretary of State. Of course, whoever fills out the registration and ballot will need to swear they are a citizen – but since we don’t know the real name of the voter or anything about them there is little risk of getting caught.

The Democrats claim they are investing ‘six figures’ in getting out the overseas vote – a number that seems very low if they’re interested in getting 9 million ballots. I can’t help but wonder if that effort is cover to explain why they get so many overseas ballots in November.

ELECTION INTEGRITY: The use of the UOCAVA voting loophole exploded between 2016 and 2020. Iowa saw a 2,244% increase in overseas ballots. Other significant increases in non-military overseas ballots include:

    – Hawaii 358% increase
    – Virginia 235% increase
    – Texas 100% increase

Suspiciously, 2020 was the first year that more people voted from overseas than filed overseas tax returns.

Even more suspiciously, in 2020 (in jurisdictions that conducted hand counts of UOCAVA ballots) more than 74% of votes were for President Biden. In Fulton County, GA, remarkably, 100% of UOCAVA ballots were for Joe Biden.

The UOCAVA voting loophole allows anyone to make up a fake name, pretend they are living overseas, and vote as many times as they like. Federal law prohibits states from verifying identity and citizenship. These are untraceable ballots. If you thought 2020 was bad 2024 is going to be a bloodbath.

The people of Lebanon are facing an increasingly dire humanitarian situation. I am concerned about the security and well-being of civilians suffering in Lebanon and will continue working to help meet the needs of all civilians there.

To that end, the United States will provide nearly $157 million in additional assistance to the people of Lebanon for essential needs such as food, shelter, water, protection, and sanitation to help those who have been displaced by the recent conflict. This additional support brings total U.S. assistance to Lebanon over the last year to over $385 million

The flooding is going to be catastrophic.

Don’t forget, many people in FL still haven’t received new roofs after Hurricane Ian. Additionally, Citizens insurance is INSOLVENT.

No one seems to care at all
    Our communication replaced by animation
    Television has control

I consulted with my friends Glen and Natasha and they both agreed and told me the answer to my problem.

    “Use our scratching post ”

More rapid nail growth may be because I am not wearing them down as much now as I just spend all day watching foggy beaches instead of doing manly things like construction and landscaping and house cleaning…

Maybe I should jump up onto the balcony railing, then onto the dividing partition and it is a small leap onto the roof.

I think scampering around on the roof chasing birds and bats would wear my claws, sorry nails down.

Does anyone else discuss medical concerns with cats?

    @ Possum:
While we are on the topic of finger and toe nails cats must have a different system for toe nails.

As we all know here because we are educated a cat’s claws grow in layers. When they do the front arms scratching thing the top layer of the claw becomes dethatched and a new and fresh and pointy and sharp claw is revealed.

The detached old outer claw is what gets stuck in your socks.

But I have never seen a cat using a scratching post, or couch or chair with their back legs. What is the mechanism they use for detaching the old outer sheath of the back claws?

I need to set up all my cameras and study cat behavior to unravel this secret.

Maybe I will do that tomorrow. When you are retired there is always time to do things tomorrow.

And Google yet again saves the day and avoids me from having to set up the cameras I have ( three gopro knock offs and a couple of infra red security cameras ) to unravel the mystery of the cat and the back claws.

They bite of the old outer sheath of the claw.

Now I think about it I had noticed they spend a long time laying on their side with a leg in the air and looked very busy.

I assumed they were cleaning their assholes. Nope, they are biting their toe nails.

Now I have nothing else to do today, except enjoy the fact that Walmart delivered two loaves of fresh fluffy Italian bread, some smoked ham, bologna, real butter and hormel pepperoni. I splashed out on the more expensive pepperoni because the cheap Galileo Authentic Italian Meats Pepperoni, 15.2 oz tastes like shit and is like eating shit flavoured card board.

Did I mention Walmart also delivered a five liter box of Merlot?

Plan is, get drunk as a skunk then take laptop apart and replace the keyboard that the cats pissed on and killed the numeric keypad and the top row of numeric keys. I am proficient in electronical stuff, I understand why pissing on the right hand side numeric things also take out the top two rows of main keyboard.

If anyone fears for my life, trust me, I knows things.

Looks like replacing laptop keyboard will have to wait until tomorrow.

Time for a lunch and a nap. Dilemma is what to have for lunch without cutting myself or burning my thumb, which happened yesterday as bacon gets nasty when you fry it.

BEANS ON TOAST! a real English meal, um, no baked beans in stock.

However a can of sardines just yelled ” EAT ME on buttered toast”

How can I resist? ( also a frozen portion of liver and onions is making some noise in the freezer about eat me next or you will die )

Fuck it, sardines and liver. I try to keep all my food happy!

Hurricane Milton remains a Dangerous Category 5 Hurricane containing Sustained Winds of 180MPH, with it now having dropped below 900MB, hovering in its Core at around 898MB, making this one of only a Handful of Hurricanes to have achieved this in Recorded History. The last Atlantic Hurricane to drop below 900 was Hurricane Wilma in 2005 at 882MB.

    CW heads up…………….

The devastation brought by Hurricane Helene has caused the nation’s largest manufacturer of fluid IV solutions to close. The flooding of Baxter International’s facility in Marion, NC caused the temporary suspension of production. Shortages of fluid IV solutions are likely and will be felt in EMS agencies across the country.

In late September, Hurricane Helene shut down a Baxter plant in Marion, N. C., which manufactures approximately 60% of the IV solutions for the U.S.
Both Baxter and “all other suppliers” of IV solutions have restricted how much their customers can order and have stopped taking new customers, AHA president Rick Pollack wrote in the organization’s letter to Biden. As a result, hospitals have declared internal shortages and restricted IV use.

IV products that will be rationed include:
•Saline: Used to rehydrate patients and replace electrolytes.
•Dextrose: A sugar solution used when patients are dehydrated or have low blood sugar. (Saline and dextrose are also used in combination with other drugs that need to administered by IV.)
•Dialysis solutions: Used to treat patients with kidney failure.

Donating blood is kind of something a person does to help anyone who needs it. An anonymous thing.

The platelet or whatever they got from me was really personal.

You get tested then some time in the future you get a call, not on a cell phone but on an internal hospital phone. I worked in an hospital at the time.

The call was to come to the pediatric oncology ( cancer ) unit. They had a room there where they put me in a bed, a a sharp pointy needle in each arm and tubes connecting my arms to a machine the size of a dorm room beer fridge.

Interesting fact, the bed they put me on was a VERY accurate weighing scale. I suppose that was to let them know accurately how much stuff they took.

Anyway, it was a relaxing couple of hours off work, the room was decorated by the patients there, lots of pictures done in crayon.

A good feeling, I could see the little people that I was helping. Obviously not which one, that would have been an emotional overload.

It is a pity I cannot do that any more….

Hurricane Helene could cost $200 billion. Nobody knows where the money will come from.

Almost none of the storm’s devastation will be paid out by insurance.

Even as the full scale of devastation in the mountainous regions of North Carolina and Tennessee remains unknown, it’s clear that Hurricane Helene is one of the deadliest and most destructive storms in recent U.S. history. As of Friday, the storm had caused at least 180 deaths and destroyed or damaged many thousands of homes and other buildings.

In a preliminary damage estimate released on Thursday, the private forecaster AccuWeather pegged the financial cost of Hurricane Helene’s damages at $225 to $250 billion, more than double what it estimated in the first days after the storm made landfall in Florida last week — and far more than recent major hurricanes like 2012’s Sandy and 2017’s Harvey. That massive number includes the cost of rebuilding homes, businesses, roads, and infrastructure in the storm’s path from Florida to Tennessee, as well as the wages and economic output that will be lost during the yearslong rebuild.

Another fact that makes Helene’s devastation so unprecedented is that almost none of those hundreds of billions of dollars in losses will be paid out by insurance. While the storm caused most of its damage through flooding, which is covered under a government-run flood insurance program, very few residents of the southern Appalachian mountains hold flood policies — even those who live in federally designated flood zones. As of now, these storm victims in North Carolina and Tennessee have no guarantee of comprehensive public or private assistance as they try to piece their lives back together. The situation stands in stark contrast to other recent deadly storms like Hurricane Ian in 2022, where wind damage was paid out by standard homeowner’s insurance and flooding was limited to low-lying coastal areas where residents typically hold government flood insurance.

I’m hearing reports from a source on the ground who is working with me to get exclusive photo and video content of search and recovery efforts on the ground in North Carolina that a PVC manufacturing plant called Silver-Line Plastics Corporation was severely damaged by the flooding from Hurricane Helene, and all of its inventory was dispersed by the flooding.
    .
    .
It needs to be asked, was VINYL CHLORIDE stored inside the plant in Asheville, and was it swept away and leaked out into the water and environment during the storm?

Vinyl Chloride is the same toxic chemical that was spilled in the East Palestine, Ohio train derailment. And this could possibly be bigger. Vinyl chloride is a toxic, flammable gas and a known human carcinogen. It’s used to make PVC, a plastic used in many products, including pipes, shower curtains, and vinyl siding. Exposure to vinyl chloride can increase the risk of: Liver cancer, Brain cancer, Lung cancer, Lymphoma, and Leukemia.

This needs to be investigated ASAP. My source on the ground tells me that first responders and locals are reporting that the their work boots and personal protective equipment (PPE) are being destroyed with prolonged contact with the water and mud in Asheville.

Nobody is reporting this. My source is working on acquiring testing kits so that they can test the water to determine whether or not a serious ecological disaster is brewing in Asheville.

    .
    .
The Plastics plant is right next to the French Broad River.

The French Broad River is a river in the U.S. states of North Carolina and Tennessee. It flows 218 miles from the town of Rosman in Transylvania County, North Carolina, into Tennessee, where its confluence with the Holston River at Knoxville forms the beginning of the Tennessee River. The river flows through the counties of Transylvania, Buncombe, Henderson, and Madison in North Carolina, and Cocke, Jefferson, Sevier, and Knox in Tennessee. It drains large portions of the Pisgah National Forest and the Cherokee National Forest.

    Floods and vampires!

Transylvania is mostly known for its myths about vampires and the blood-thirsty count Dracula. But while the fictional character is a creation of the Irish writer Bram Stoker as the central figure of his fantasy book Dracula, Transylvania has its own folk creations. For centuries, Transylvania was colonized by several transient populations that have shaped its history. Romanians, Hungarians, Saxons, Ottomans, Jews, and Roma Gypsies inhabited the whimsical territory of “the land behind the forests” (trans silvae), shaping the local folklore and giving birth to fantastic creatures, magic legends, and a fascinating tradition of storytelling.

I know a lot of people have moved to Florida in recent years, but this is unsustainable. The insurance rates for housing/autos are already exorbitant. My sister moved to Alabama because she simply couldn’t afford them anymore. Because E. Tenn (where we are) got nailed I expect our rates to also go up.

You will note that he sentenced her in part for exercising her 1st amend rights. And she never wielded ‘the sword’.

    Cat post.

Natasha has always bit me if I do not scratch her ears and stroke her long enough.

It is not a severe bite that punctures arteries that cause a squirting blood loss and death in 3 minutes, but a warning.

LOL Glen watches any interactions I have with Natasha. If they both are sitting on my chest while I am watching Youtube on my phone they have to be stroked equally.

Tonight Glen finally realised how to get attention when I am watching movies on my PC.

    He bit my leg.

Took him four years to learn that trick. Male cats are really stupid.

Actually a really professional veterinarian clinic does not allow the care taker of the cat to be present.

Maybe it is cruel but to isolate the cat from all the cat knows and loves makes the cat very scared and submissive.

For about 24.537 seconds. So get the thermometer up the cat’s ass fast!
