Today is the PA-18 election for Congress for a seat vacated by a long time GOP rep Tim Murphy who got caught up in #MeToo…Anyway, the polling data is all over the place and some of it really creative like the Monmouth Poll that uses a Surge Model with GOP -4% of the Dems 50% and 4% Neither.. I have a MS in Applied Statistics and I have never heard of this kind of model. I’m not even sure that this sample is legitimate, does it reflect the reality on the ground? We’ll see today.
And, like I said, Pigs Flew Today. They did. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette endorsed Rick Saccone…No, for real, the Party Organ for the Democrats in Pittsburgh endorsed the GOP candidate! I’m not sure what to say about this. I am, frankly, shocked by this and had to make sure that I wasn’t having a some sort of flashback that was causing me to hallucinate.
Should be an interesting night after the polls close.
