I had to work at our facility that sits right on Lake Erie yesterday, It was an emergency call up, which means bux…lots o bux.
But I digress, So, I had a ton of time to get there from here, just north of Pittsburgh. I made a nice double large AK-47 cappuccino, thx, Black Rifle Coffee! I also got a Solomon sized cigar from AJ Fernandez ready for the trip. Mimi car was gassed up and it was warm; top down! A Miata on the back roads of western PA and eastern Ohio on a crisp, colorful leafs, foggy, fall morning is something to savor! For that reason I eschewed the interstates and meandered the back roads without music. The trip that would take less than 2 hours by interstate was a nearly 5 hour grand tour of the buckle of the Rust Belt. No need for music, nature provided nicely.
I purposely hit places like Beaver Falls, New Castle, Youngstown, Sharon, etc… In the areas that I hit, both back roads and towns, I noticed two facts. There are far less signs for Biden than for Clinton last time and there are more signs for Trump on an order of magnitude than last time. I noticed the same thing in South Jersey, but NJ is a lost cause.
The old girl did great and we arrived with time to spare to enjoy the view of Lake Erie from the top deck of the parking lot while one of our helicopters arrived…off to work!
