An awesome clip of a young boy playing the harmonica. His dog howls along him as they do a blues act.
This is just so sweet!

Everyone should experience Mardi Gras in New Orleans at least once. The parades are awesome, the music is great, and there are uninhibited and inebriated college girls. There are also pickpockets, drug dealers and people who will fight you over a plastic necklace. The beer/drinks are cheap (since they deal in volume) and the streets and sidewalks flow with unmentionable liquids so you’ll need to burn your shoes afterwards. Again, everyone should experience Mardi Gras in New Orleans at least once.
And just for all you late night BlogMockrateers, there’s a secret bonus if you click the pic on The Overnight Open Thread.
Okay. Y’all heard of Bo Diddley. Here’s the Diddley Bow played by a master, Seasick Steve. All rhythm – raw as all get out. From Wiki, here’s the equipment featured in that video:
The One-Stringed Diddley Bow — This is a one stringed string instrument played with a slide (He uses an old screwdriver for this purpose). It consists of a 2-foot-long (0.61 m) 2×4, with a semi-loose piece of broom wire nailed to it at both ends. It was made especially for him by James ‘Super Chikan’ Johnson.
The ‘MDM’ (Mississippi Drum Machine) — A small wooden box that is stomped upon, providing percussion. It is decorated with a Mississippi motorcycle license plate (“MC33583”), and a small piece of carpet.
And now, comin’ atcha over the mojo wire, is The Overnight Open Thread.
“A place of solitude offers a retreat from the opposing forces and diverse demands of living, an entry into a state of peace and unity. Mind and body can retire from confusion and conflict to a sanctuary of clarity and harmony”
