Herman Cain

Georgia businessman, talk radio host, and Tea Party activist Herman Cain speaks at CPAC 2011. Yes, it’s a long video, but it is both entertaining and inspirational.

Herman Cain’s SRLC Speech

I came across this speech yesterday and found it stunning for it’s clarity and passion for the American dream. For those who have never heard of Herman Cain, he is a legend in the business community, having turned around a large segment of the Burger King franchise, and for restoring Godfathers pizza to profitability in 14 months, after which he purchased the franchise. We are talking about a man who has actually created AND saved jobs and wealth, as opposed to “community organizing”. He is also something of a Renaissance man, earning a BA in mathematics, a masters in computer science, and eight Honorary Doctorate Degrees from Morehouse College, New York City Technical College; Suffolk University, Johnson & Wales University, Creighton University, Purdue University, Tougaloo College and the University of Nebraska . When such a man speaks, a sane nation listens, but in todays debased America Mr. Cain is lambasted as an “Uncle Tom” or ignored completely. Remember, the most pernicious form of media bias is simply to ignore someone because they are not useful to the narrative being pushed. His speech at and reception from the Southern Republican (gasp!) Leadership Conference should serve to euthanize the meme pushed by the progressive media that people who believe in limited constrained government, rugged individualism and self reliance all have a Klan costume in the closet.. But we all know our media has shall we say, a strange relationship with the truth. If only the go along get along GOP crowd in D.C. had one half of his passion and clarity, we would be living in an America that is more free and more prosperous. Well done Mr. Cain, well done indeed.
