Fears about the result of Lebanon’s upcoming elections

Lebanon faces elections in June and people are nervous. The 2 main opponents are the March 14th movement which is made up of C hristians, Druzes and Sunnis. On the other side is Hizballah the Shia Islamo-Fascist movement supported by Iran, Syria and Western Leftists.  This article explains the differences of both sides.

Lebanon on Tenterhooks

The public display of feminine beauty remains impermissible in most of the Middle East, but Lebanon—with its unique role as the meeting point of the Muslim and Western worlds—has long been the exception. And today, women dressed in tight jeans and flattering blouses, and with smiles visible thanks to the lack of the niqab, are in abundance. Surely this freedom, along with democracy, secularism, and a Lebanon independent of foreign control, is something worth preserving.

Now read about the Left’s beloved Hizballah

Before gaining entrance to the rally, I had first to meet with an abaya-clad woman at Hezbollah’s press office, located in the Dahiyeh, a Shi’ite slum in Beirut’s southern suburbs.

In ways large and small, the Hezbollah rally could not have been more different from the March 14th one. Here, men and women sat separately (and entered and exited through separate doors), and the majority of women wore black abayas. A group of uniformed men (Iranian military officers, I was told) sat in the front row.

Does anyone not see the difference. I bet Obama will back Hizballah since the Left loves Totalitarians. If Hizballah wins, expect Israel to hit Lebanon. The Left will back Hizballah, it’s the Progressive thing to do!

US Studies Lessons Of The 2006 Lebanon War

The US has been studying the Israel-Hizballah fight in 2006.  In this war Israel did not unleash it’s full might and only pushed back Hizbalalh, not defeat them.  The Media hyped it into a Muslim win, when in fact its was an Israeli Pyrrhic victory.  The US Military wants to prepare for a fight with a Hizballlah type enemy.

Short ’06 Lebanon War Stokes Pentagon Debate

A war that ended three years ago and involved not a single U.S. soldier has become the subject of an increasingly heated debate inside the Pentagon, one that could alter how the U.S. military fights in the future.

When Israel and Hezbollah battled for more than a month in Lebanon in the summer of 2006, the result was widely seen as a disaster for the Israeli military.  Soon after the fighting ended, some military officers began to warn that the short, bloody and relatively conventional battle foreshadowed how future enemies of the United States might fight.

The real lesson should be is you must unleash your all on the enemy.  The Israelis learned this in Gaza and will implement this is Lebanon 3 -yes it will happen.  The US Military must be prepared to fight these type of groups and use all it’s power.

Facebook and Hizb’allah

Take a look at this. I’m taking this right off Jihad Watch:

The David Horowitz Freedom Center is calling upon all supporters of freedom of speech and of Israel to join in its protest against Facebook, the Internet social networking site. Facebook has allowed a group of hackers who openly support the terrorist group Hizballah to take over and destroy what was once the largest pro-Israel site on Facebook. In a blunt act of internet censorship, Facebook added insult to injury by disabling the account of that site’s creator, 14-year-old Todd Snider.

Snider established the Facebook group called “I Wonder How Quickly I Can Find 1,000,000 People Who Support Israel,” in July 2008. By February 2009 it was Facebook’s largest pro-Israel site, with over 180,000 members.

But on February 15, 2009, Snider’s Facebook group was hacked and destroyed by a pro-Hizballah group calling itself “Lebanese Shee’a Hackers.” The hackers completely erased the original site content and replaced it with threatening, obscenity-laced pro-jihad, anti-Israel propaganda datelined Bint Jbeil, South Lebanon: “DEAR ADMINS, DON’T WASTE MY AND YOUR TIME , LEAVE THIS GROUP ITS BETTER FOR BOTH THIS IS THE LAST TIME ILL EDIT YOU INFO , NEXT TIME…”

Facebook allowed the hackers to destroy Snider’s site, answering his repeated entreaties for help with blandly evasive form letters.

And now, after the appearance on March 6 of an article about the incident in FrontPageMagazine.com (“Facebook Jihad” by Robert Spencer), Facebook has taken the additional step of disabling Snider’s account altogether, capitulating to the jihadi hackers and accusing Snider himself of “misusing” Facebook’s “features.”

Facebook’s outrageous action is not only an assault on free speech and internet freedom and a breach of its own social networking protocols, but also appeasement of a group of hackers who have invaded Facebook’s space and who openly avow their support for the jihad terrorist group Hizballah.

We therefore urge all Facebook members who oppose Islamist terror and internet censorship to contact the site administrators through the Facebook contact form, and all others to join us in protesting against Facebook’s outrageous behavior by writing to abuse@facebook.com.

I will be asking other prominent bloggers, writers, media figures, lovers of freedom, to join their names to ours in this, and will be adding them.

I’m in. Anyone else?
