Charlie Rangel hearing goes into Recess

Charlie Rangel is an example of Progressive hypocrisy. He supports higher taxes, yet didn’t declare his own assets overseas in the Dominican Republic. Despite his hypocrisy, his district re-elected him. Today he walked out on his ethics hearing claiming he didn’t have enough money to continue paying his lawyers.

WASHINGTON (CBS 2 / 1010 WINS / WCBS 880) — A panel of Rep. Charlie Rangel’s peers in Congress headed to recess Monday morning to debate continuing the ethics trial against him after a fiery and frustrated Rangel excused himself, arguing he would not represent himself and had not been given enough time to hire counsel.

“My role here is as a respondent and I am not here representing myself. I’ve been a lawyer long enough to know that it is very, very unwise for any person, a lawyer or a judge, to be his own counsel at a proceeding like this,” Rangel said after being asked whether he was making a motion to continue the hearing.

Rep. G.K. Butterfield (D-N.C.), one of the judges on the panel, requested that the hearing go to recess so the panel could discuss whether to continue Monday despite Rangel’s claims that he had not been given adequate time to hire counsel.

Rangel said “50 years of public service has to suffer” because he did not have the money himself to pay for a lawyer, that he did not have enough time to cultivate a legal defense fund, and that free counsel offered to him would be considered a gift and therefore prohibited.

Would you or I be given this opportunity in a legal case? Absolutely not but he will, because Rangel is part of the Neo-Feudal elite.

We are taking a break this week from Atlantis Build’s science lessons to hear a different voice. Unlike the historical revisionist fool we have seen the past 2 weeks, Macho Sauce drops real knowledge. He exposes the racist agenda of the Democratic party.

Florida considers sore loser law

Charlie Crist is a dishonest individual. When he announced he was running for the Republican nomination in the Florida senate race, Crist claimed he would not go independent. When challenged by Marco Rubio and the nomination was out of reach, Crist announced he was leaving the GOP and going Independent. This caused a controversy as many people donated to his campaign because he was a Republican. Donors wanted their money back and it caused Charlie Crist only complied with a  few request.

Due to this event, a Florida Senate committee is now looking at  creating a  sore loser law. This would prevent party affiliated officials who ran in primaries, from running as individuals.

A Florida Senate committee has recommended making it tougher for political candidates to switch or leave parties in mid-campaign, a move spurred by Florida Gov. Charlie Crist’s bolt from the Republican Party to run as an independent for U.S. Senate.

The Florida Senate Ethics and Elections Committee also calls for a “sore-loser statute” that would prohibit party-affiliated candidates who lose a primary from re-entering the race as in independent.

I’m mixed on this law for various reasons. Although I’m for anyone being allowed to run, I don’t like the sore loser concept of sabotaging your own party because you lost the nomination. I really am undecided o9n this subject. I would like to get feed back from the Blog on whether this is good or bad.

Let’s discuss the pros and cons of a sore loser law.

Addendum: Here is an interesting story about a California Rabbi and Tea Party activist who marched at a Pro-Israel/anti-Islamization protest with the English Defense League.

California state senate candidate and Tea Party activist Rabbi Nachum Shifren joined a march organized by the far right group the English Defence League Sunday outside the Israeli Embassy in London. At the march, rally supporters expressed their goal to prevent the “Islamification” of the United Kingdom and show support for the Jewish State.

Shifren, known as the “surfing rabbi,” is running in the November elections to represent the district of west Los Angeles in the state senate.

The EDL invited the Orthodox rabbi to speak about Sharia law in London this month, the Guardian reported two weeks ago.

The fight against the Progressive-Islamic axis is at a global scale.

Obamacare vote comes back to haunt Democrats

The Eugenics based Obacare bill was suppose to be the crown jewel of this Democratic congress. Instead it has become an albatross used around the necks of Progressive candidates. The bill was a blatant example of the Neo-Feudalistic attitude of the left. It was rammed down the nation’s throat, even though the majority of Americans opposed it. Now the people will are getting their revenge and the Democrats are scared.

Seven months ago Speaker Nancy Pelosi spent a busy week rounding up votes to pass the Senate version of the Democrats’ health care legislation.

It wasn’t easy. She had to get Democrats who had voted no in November to switch to yes in March. And she had to get Democrats who had refused to vote for the bill in November without an anti-abortion amendment to vote for a bill in March that lacked that language.

[….]

Those opponents, according to polls at that time, included most American voters. But Pelosi, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton predicted the bill would become more popular after it was passed (and, Pelosi said, after people had a chance to read it).

National polls indicate that hasn’t happened yet. But what about the districts of the House Democrats who cast the key votes that made Obamacare law? Those Democrats have an interest in persuading constituents of the law’s merits. So how are they doing?

The Progressives pushed Obamacare thinking they would get a reward. But they are learning that if you go against the will of the American people, they will not forget. With 2 weeks to go until the midterms, it’s ugly for the Progressives. They are learning that this nation’s people reject Neo-Feudalism. Americans don’t serf!
