Media pushing Mitch Daniels

The Progressive Left loves to ensure that their opponent is a Liberal Republican. They know how to defeat them and even if that Republican wins, nothing will change. The latest GOP darling of themedia is Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels. He is a Wimpy Liberal Republican who begged his cheating wife to come back. Daniels also backed down to the Unions. He is a man with no spine and is clearly in the mold of Papa Bush, Dole, Baby Bush and McCain.

Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels continues to keep the political world waiting, saying recently that he will announce “within weeks” whether he will run for president in 2012.

The Republican’s decision — which could come as soon as Thursday at the Indiana Republican Party’s spring dinner, where his wife, Cheri, will be the keynote speaker — could have an impact well beyond just one man saying yes or no, however.

[….]

The president has acknowledged as much about Daniels, telling an Indiana television station that the governor is “a serious person” before adding: “I have some significant philosophical differences with him.”

The fact that Obama is saying nice things about Mitch Daniels, should be a warning sign. This man is a Liberal and is nothing but useless fool.

Taliban offensive in Kandahar

The City of Kandahar is the capital of the Pashtun area of Afghanistan. It’s also considered the spiritual home of the Taliban. The Obama regime claimed that killing Bin Laden would demoralize the Taliban. Well it has done the opposite, they have launched an offensive in Kandahar!

KABUL, Afghanistan—Fighting erupted for a second day Sunday between Taliban gunmen and Afghan security forces in the southern city of Kandahar, demonstrating the insurgents’ determination to maintain a foothold in the city they consider their spiritual home.

Afghanistan’s Interior Ministry said Sunday that the death toll in clashes that broke out a day earlier had risen to 25 — all but two of them Taliban fighters. The Taliban brushed aside the lopsided toll, instead boasting that the fighting had all but paralyzed the country’s second-largest city.

The confrontation began Saturday with an audacious attempt by dozens of insurgents to overrun half a dozen key installations across the city, including the governor’s compound and the intelligence directorate. The fighting died down overnight, but started up again Sunday when security forces moved in to try to clear a hotel that the attackers had used as a staging ground.

There is no light at the end of the tunnel here.

It’s time for a US-India alliance

The US has for too long been allied with Pakistan. This stems from Cold War-era politics. India under Nehru and then Indira Gandhi was part of the Non aligned/3rd World movement. They were de facto allies of the Soviets and because of this the US supported Pakistan.

Time have changed and Pakistan is in the Islamist camp. They harbored Bin Laden and many top AL-Qaeda leaders are there. The Pakistani ISI supports terror against India. That nation, actually should be a natural ally. Just like America, it is a secular Republic where freedom of region is guaranteed. India is now a free market economy and rapidly rising in the world. Their Bollywoofd movies are watched all over the world. They are a natural fit for us as friends.

Yesterday, Pakistan’s top military officer, General Ashfaq Kayani, said his country would not tolerate any more U.S. raids like the one on Sunday that killed Osama bin Laden. Furthermore, the Army chief said any more violations of Pakistani sovereignty would “warrant a review on the level of military/intelligence cooperation with the United States.”

It’s high time Washington review Pakistan’s cooperation. In short, America should end its special relationship with Islamabad and fully partner with India. The reason for this fundamental shift became fully evident when American forces killed bin Laden in his purpose-built fortress in the army garrison city of Abbottabad. The al Qaeda leader’s compound was eight times the size of neighboring houses, had few windows but lots of barbed wire, and was on flat terrain, visible from all directions. The place had an 18-foot wall but no Internet or phone connections. When children played soccer nearby, guards paid them to take their pick-up matches elsewhere. The bin Laden family had been living there since 2005.

Why we don’t have a closer relation with India is beyond me. As someone who works with Indians, I cam tell you they re great people. They lived under the Islamic yoke for many centuries and under stand the threat of Dr Al Islam. They love freedom and are a tolerant people. It’s time to dump Pakistan and join forces with India!

Palestinian Islamist organization Hamas has condemned the killing of Osama Bin Laden. This may shock some people since the Progressives claim that Hamas and AL-Qaeda don’t like each other, which is a total lie. In fact, they are sister organizations to AL-Qaeda. Both have their roots in the Muslim Brotherhood and are of the Salafalist doctrine. Another fact never mentioned, is that they have  common founder, Abdullah Azzam. This man was a Palestinian member of the Muslim Brotherhood. He was influential in the early ideological development of Hamas and is considered one of its founders. He then went to Afghanistan during the Soviet invasion and lead a group that would become AL-Qaeda. He was a mentor to Osama Bin Laden. Where Hamas and Al-Qaeda split was in the focus of the jihad. Hamas believes in going after Israel first. Al-Qaeda believes in a global struggle. Other than that, there’s no ideological difference between the 2. So Hamas condemning the death of Osama Bin Laden, is no shocker!

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip — The leader of the Palestinian militant Hamas government in Gaza has condemned the United States for killing Al Qaeda chief Usama bin Laden.

Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh says the operation is “the continuation of the American oppression and shedding of blood of Muslims and Arabs.”

Haniyeh told reporters in Gaza on Monday that although Hamas had its differences with Al Qaeda, his group condemns the assassination of “a Muslim and Arabic warrior” and prays that bin Laden’s “soul rests in peace.”

Read it all: Hamas Leader Condemns Killing of Usama Bin Laden

Birds of a feather flock together. Hamas and AL-Qaeda are brother organizations. The differences they had was in who should be the primary target of Jihad. For this statement alone the Palestinian Authority which now includes Hamas,  should  be cut off from all US taxes. These Arab Colonialists should never receive US aid anyway. After 9/11, They came out to the streets and celebrated the attacks. Now their main Islamist group mourns the death of Bin Laden. None of this will matter, the Palestinians are the Left’s favorite pets. This shows the death of Osama will change nothing.
