Pakistan ISI encouraged attacks on Americans

Pakistan is the darling of our our Progressive bi-partisan elites. That nation gets billions in aid and Pakistanis get preferences in immigration visas. American taxpayers pay for their college education here and we sell them weapons that we refuse to give to other allies like Colombia. Despite this, Pakistan is anything but grateful. They turn a blind eye and even assist Taliban attacks on US forces in Afghanistan. Now it turns out their Intelligence Service, the ISI, was promoting attacks on American targets.

WASHINGTON: US officials say there is mounting evidence that Pakistan’s chief intelligence agency has been encouraging a Pakistan-based militant network to attack US targets.

The allegations, if fully confirmed, heighten a painful dilemma for President Barack Obama’s administration. Washington is under growing political pressure to take action against the Haqqani network after a spate of deadly attacks US officials have attributed to it. These include last week’s strike against the American Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Some US intelligence reporting alleges that Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence directorate (ISI) specifically directed, or urged, the Haqqani network to carry out the Sept. 13 attack on the embassy and a NATO headquarters in Kabul, according two US officials and a source familiar with recent US-Pakistan official contacts. However, officials cautioned that this information is uncorroborated.

Another US official familiar with internal government assessments said that at the very least, the available intelligence strongly suggests the ISI has been egging on elements of the Haqqani network to launch attacks at American targets in the region.

Our alliance with Pakistan is base on outdated Cold War thinking. Those days are long gone and it’s time to reflect the new reality. Pakistan is an enemy of the US. Our State Department is filled with Islamophiles and Arabists. They are shills for the interest of Pakistan and don’t allow a new foreign policy based on the current situation.

The Pakistanis view themselves as part of Dar Al Islam. They view us as their kuffar servants and the way our government kisses up to them, you can’t blame them. We have even prevented Indian retaliations against Pakistani supported terror attacks.  It’s time to realize that Pakistan is an enemy and India is our friend.

This Pro-Pakistan policy will not change until the Islamophiles in the  State Department are fired. This will only occur if we have a Conservative Republican President. Don’t expect Obama in a 2nd term to make the changes needed. Neither would a Rockefeller/Compassionate Conservative/Progressive Republican do this. That’s why this election is crucial. America is on an unsustainable course.

AL-Qaeda affiliate behind New Delhi High Court blast

The Progressive media is trying to downplay the Islamist threat. Like the Obama Boom, reality intrudes. An Al-Qaeda affiliated was behind today’s bombing of a High Court in New Delhi.

(Reuters) – A powerful bomb placed in a briefcase outside the High Court in New Delhi killed at least 11 people and wounded 76 on Wednesday in an attack authorities said was claimed by a South Asian militant group linked to al Qaeda.

The 2-kg bomb dug a crater three to four feet deep near the main reception counter where passes are issued for lawyers and visitors to enter the sprawling sandstone building before the main security checkpoint.

Authorities said they are investigating a claim of responsibility allegedly made by the Harkat-ul-Jihad Islami (HUJI) militant group — an al Qaeda affiliate with bases in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Ilyas Kashmiri, who U.S. authorities believe was recently killed in Pakistan, was the head of the group and senior al Qaeda member.

Pakistan is where this group hides out. If they didn’t have nukes, India would wipe them out. My condolences go out to the victims of this bombing.

Helicopter shot down was a Taliban Trap

When news leaked Saturday about the US Navy Seals killed aboard a helicopter that was shot down, I suspected something was wrong. I thought the Afghans who knew about the mission had tipped off the Taliban. Instead the opposite had happened,  the Taliban tipped off the Afghan Army and US military to a supposed top level meeting. The raid began and the Taliban was ready. The rest is history.

The Taliban lured US forces into an elaborate trap to shoot down their helicopter, killing 30 American troops in the deadliest such incident of the war, an Afghan official said Monday.

[…]

A senior Afghan government official told AFP on condition of anonymity that Taliban commander Qari Tahir lured US forces to the scene by tipping them off that a Taliban meeting was taking place.

He also said four Pakistanis helped Tahir carry out the strike.

“Now it’s confirmed that the helicopter was shot down and it was a trap that was set by a Taliban commander,” said the official, citing intelligence gathered from the area.

“The Taliban knew which route the helicopter would take,” he continued.

“That’s the only route, so they took position on the either side of the valley on mountains and as the helicopter approached, they attacked it with rockets and other modern weapons. It was brought down by multiple shots.”

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity as he was not authorised to discuss the issue, also said President Hamid Karzai’s US-backed government “thinks” the attack was retaliation for the May killing of Osama bin Laden.

If the report is true, clearly this was retaliation for Osama’s death. The 4 Pakistanis, must be ISI and if so, something needs to be done about this. Our honor was insulted, we need to teach the Taliban and their Pakistani masters a lesson. With Obama in the White House, I’m not holding my breath.

It’s time for a US-India alliance

The US has for too long been allied with Pakistan. This stems from Cold War-era politics. India under Nehru and then Indira Gandhi was part of the Non aligned/3rd World movement. They were de facto allies of the Soviets and because of this the US supported Pakistan.

Time have changed and Pakistan is in the Islamist camp. They harbored Bin Laden and many top AL-Qaeda leaders are there. The Pakistani ISI supports terror against India. That nation, actually should be a natural ally. Just like America, it is a secular Republic where freedom of region is guaranteed. India is now a free market economy and rapidly rising in the world. Their Bollywoofd movies are watched all over the world. They are a natural fit for us as friends.

Yesterday, Pakistan’s top military officer, General Ashfaq Kayani, said his country would not tolerate any more U.S. raids like the one on Sunday that killed Osama bin Laden. Furthermore, the Army chief said any more violations of Pakistani sovereignty would “warrant a review on the level of military/intelligence cooperation with the United States.”

It’s high time Washington review Pakistan’s cooperation. In short, America should end its special relationship with Islamabad and fully partner with India. The reason for this fundamental shift became fully evident when American forces killed bin Laden in his purpose-built fortress in the army garrison city of Abbottabad. The al Qaeda leader’s compound was eight times the size of neighboring houses, had few windows but lots of barbed wire, and was on flat terrain, visible from all directions. The place had an 18-foot wall but no Internet or phone connections. When children played soccer nearby, guards paid them to take their pick-up matches elsewhere. The bin Laden family had been living there since 2005.

Why we don’t have a closer relation with India is beyond me. As someone who works with Indians, I cam tell you they re great people. They lived under the Islamic yoke for many centuries and under stand the threat of Dr Al Islam. They love freedom and are a tolerant people. It’s time to dump Pakistan and join forces with India!
