This double record set came in very handy back when Bunk was still slumming around in apartments. If the neighbors were making too much noise, I’d just slap side one on the turntable, crank it up, and laugh and laugh and laugh.

Lucky you, it’s available on CD, and well worth the bucks for the entertainment. Try it on your loud neighbors. Believe me, everyone shuts up when they hear it, with big ‘ol honkin’ visible WTF thought-bubbles over their heads.

There’s only one place it doesn’t work, and that’s in the Blogmocracy Rec Room on The Overnight Open Thread.

Looks a lot like The DoD Boiler Room Crew, huh? Well, they’re nothing at all like the BRC, and vice versa. It’s a picture of a buncha British guys with the same surname:  Bobby Burton, Billy Burton, Bertrand Burton and Buford Burton-Whittlesey III, all in the same place at the same time. It’s amazing to me that the world didn’t implode with all that awesome assembled in one spot.

Okay, that was a bit o’ sarcasm there. Truth is that any one of us could stand next to those weenies in seersuckersuits and out-awesome them, especially on The Overnight Open Thread.

I CAN Believe It’s Not Butter.

Okay folks. New rules for the Rec Room. The hausfrau told me today that she was cleaning the fridge and found a tub of butter in the back that has apparently been there a while. It was infested with sugar gliders.

From now on, we’re gonna dump all personal items each Friday afternoon at 4:30PM, so if you have leftovers in Tupperware, half-consumed drinks in sippy cups, or any opened foodstuffs you want to keep, take it home with you, otherwise they’re going to be dumped. [Confidential to Mongoose: Stop taking random bites out of other’s stuff. The tooth pattern gives you away every time.]

With that said, walk right in, sit right down, and everybody let their minds roll on The Overnight Open Thread.

No Parking on Plow Days

Looks like someone made their point.

Reminds me of a story a contractor told me. The were starting grading operations on an old parking lot, and were ready to tear up the asphalt and take the base down by 24 inches for new construction. A guy pulled up and parked.

The contractor told him not to park there, but the guy said “I’ll only be a minute.” 45 minutes later the car was still there… sitting on a 8′ x 16′ island.

Speaking of islands, let’s change the subject because this is The Overnight Open Thread.
