Mitt Romney calls for automatic Minimum wage increases

If there is any doubt Romney is a Progressive Republican, his stance on the minimum wage should end it. Mitt Romney supports tying the minimum wage to inflation. Romney wants yearly automatic increases. This will hurt many small business who will not be able to afford the costs. This also will reduce the number of entry level positions, that young people need to enter the job market.

EAGAN, Minn. (AP) — Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney renewed his support Wednesday for automatic increases in the federal minimum wage to keep pace with inflation, a position sharply at odds with traditional GOP business allies, conservatives and the party’s senior lawmakers.

“I haven’t changed my thoughts on that,” the former Massachusetts governor told reporters aboard his chartered campaign plane, referring to a stand he has held for a decade.

He did not say if he would ask Congress to approve the change if he wins the White House this fall.

Not even Obama has called for this. Mitt Romney is advocating a living wage. That would be an economic disaster. Clearly, Romney is a Progressive.

George Soros says there is little difference between Romney and Obama

Georg Soros says what many Conservatives have been thinking. That there’s not much political differences between Romney and Obama.

Speaking in Davos, gathering place for the global elites and upscale chattering classes, billionaire investor George Soros – loathed by conservative activists for his ‘zillion-dollar left-wing radical agenda machine’ – seemed to be pretty much OK with the notion of a Romney presidency.

‘Well, look, either you’ll have an extremist conservative, be it Gingrich or Santorum, in which case I think it will make a big difference which of the two comes in,’ he told Chrystia Freeland of Reuters in a videotaped interview. ‘If it’s between Obama and Romney, there isn’t all that much difference except for the crowd that they bring with them.’

To be fair, Romney does like this country and Obama doesn’t. But he is on the Left like Obama is.

Obama Regime thrilled at Independents not liking Romney

Poor Mittens, he needs the GOP elites to bail him out against Gingrich. This will not help him against the False Messiah and his regime. In fact, they are salivating over the prospect of  running against Mittens. They are also heartened at how Independents are now starting to hate Romney.

CHICAGO — President Obama’s political advisers have long been preparing for a general-election contest against Republican Mitt Romney. What they have seen of the former Massachusetts governor in the past 30 days makes them think he will enter a fall campaign, if he survives a turbulent nomination battle, significantly weakened by self-inflicted wounds and a major strategic mistake.

That assessment in no way changes the view from the sixth floor of the Prudential Building here that the president faces major challenges in his bid for a second term. Continuing economic uncertainties, general unrest among the electorate, frustration with the pace of the recovery and the reluctance of independent voters to embrace the president constitute the stiff head winds that Obama and his team are facing.

[….]

What has happened to Romney over the past month has not come as a total surprise to Obama’s advisers. Having long ago combed his record as a businessman and cast his profile against the general mood of the country, they thought he was a candidate with major weaknesses that could make it difficult for him to appeal to independent and swing voters.

At the heart of those perceptions is Romney’s tenure at Bain Capital, a private equity firm where he made his fortune. His record there has come under attack in the Republican race, although his advisers say it is a major asset because of the contrast he could draw with the president, who has no real experience in business or with the private economy.

Obama advisers disagree. They argue that, at a time when many Americans see economic and political systems that appear to be stacked against them, Romney’s decision to base his campaign message on his work at a private equity firm could be a major mistake.

The False Messiah is smiling!

Is Rubio caving to the GOP Establishment?

Newt Gingrich has begun to launch devastating Spanish language ads here in Florida. He has attacking Romney’s slick Nativist tone against Hispanics under the guise of illegal immigration. Unlike other states The GOP does very well with Hispanic voters in Florida. Gingrich has massive support with Hispanic Republicans because he is against the Nativist tone and Illegal Immigration. Newt proves you can chew gum and walk at the same time on this issue. Just because a person is against Illegal Immigration, doesn’t mean you have to demonize a whole ethnic group. These ads are clearly hitting home and the GOP Establishment is in panic mode. In response, they have pressured Marco Rubio to condemn the ads.

Sen. Marco Rubio scolded Newt Gingrich’s presidential campaign over a Spanish-language radio ad that accuses rival Mitt Romney of being “anti-immigrant.”
“This kind of language is more than just unfortunate. It’s inaccurate, inflammatory, and doesn’t belong in this campaign,” Rubio told The Miami Herald when asked about the ad.
“The truth is that neither of these two men is anti-immigrant,” Rubio said. “Both are pro-legal immigration and both have positive messages that play well in the Hispanic community.”

[….]

So when Gingrich’s radio spot described Romney as “the most anti-immigrant candidate,” Rubio and others felt he not only crossed the line — he was adopting liberal criticisms.

[….]

Rubio bears no personal ill-will to Gingrich, who helped support him when Rubio was Florida House Speaker in 2007 and 2008. Rubio and former Gov. Jeb Bush are headlining a Friday Hispanic Leadership Network event where they’ve invited all the major GOP candidates. Gingrich on Monday night began airing a new, positive Spanish-language TV ad.

Marco Rubio, don’t sell out the GOP elites. They never will let you get near the Presidency. They look down on you as no better than a savage. That is why they are playing footsies with Nativists and questioning your eligibility to run for President. I know you want that high office, but kissing their ass is not the way. Fight them and stand with Conservative grass roots. The GOP Establishment are using Marco Rubio and his ego is too blind to see that. Wake up Marco!
