According to the Wiki, the folk ballad “Froggy Went A-Courtin'” dates back to 1500s Scotland, with a musical version that dates to 1611. (I tried to find a video of it on the Utoobage, but no dice.)

Savage Chickens is a classic internest dealie. Since so many folks have seen Doug Savage’s clever Post-It Notes cartoons, I’ve avoided posting any on any blog… until now. This one is unique, as it’s interactive. You’ve probably already scrolled up and down a few times and smiled to yourself, huh. I know I did.
Then someone had to go and “improve” upon the low-tech simplicity and created a couple of .gif animations to save the trouble and effort of moving a finger back and forth.
Doug Savage liked ’em enough to post ’em, and if they’re good enough for him, they’re good enough for The Overnight Open Thread.
