Over at Bite Me! comix, finally a conventional post. It’s titled: “Charles Johnson – Racist”. The gist of it is that in a post showing what Manhattan looked like in the 17th century, Mr. Johnson said the following:

National Geographic strips away the skyscrapers, the traffic, and the humans, and visualizes the island of Manhattan in the early years of the 17th century.

He seems to be suggesting that American Indians aren’t humans. I have a different take on it. In the radical environmental movement, “excess humans” is a standard talking point. They routinely talk about “excess humans” just like normal sane people talk about termites. Something to be exterminated.

I’m going to give Mr. Johnson the benefit of the doubt, and attribute this to carelessness, when he left the word “excess” off. He didn’t mean to imply that American Indians aren’t humans, he meant to imply that there are simply too many humans on earth, and we need to eliminate most of them.

Such as when he said that aborting black Africans is a good way to fight global warming.

Racism, or old-fashioned Malthusianism? You decide. Either way, the minorities end up taking it in the shorts for white man’s screwy ideas.

We're not easily offended and don't want people to think they have to walk on eggshells around here (like at another place that shall remain nameless) but of course, there is a limit to everything.

Play nice!
