Say Goodbye To the “Monica”!

FINALLY! The US Army makes the right decision and, effective immediately, the berets which soldiers wore as part of their regular duty uniforms for ten years will be returned to their distinctive places of honor:
The Rangers – Black
Special Forces – Green
Airborne – Maroon
Pictured at right is the Patrol Cap which is now the new headgear for normal duty. And it’s about time! The old beret was, in some circles, derisively referred to as the “Monica”. It never fit in to the Army’s regular ranks. But the beret will still be a part of the formal dress uniform.
To which I reply: Why? Except for the three abovementioned groups, just get rid of the damn thing altogether!

We're not easily offended and don't want people to think they have to walk on eggshells around here (like at another place that shall remain nameless) but of course, there is a limit to everything.

Play nice!
