The media has praised their beloved philosopher/god-king Obama for his hands on approach to Hurricane Sandy. This image was helped by Progressive Republican and Jabba the Hut clone, Chris Christie.  The truth is nowhere near the propaganda. In fact, we are looking at Obama’s Katrina! That’s why there’s now a media blackout on what is happening in the NY/NJ Metro area.

Here is what’s really going on.

State troopers deployed as tensions boil at gas stations in Sandy’s wake

State troopers have been deployed at all gas stations along the NJ Turnpike and Garden State Parkway, where dwindling gasoline supplies are causing frayed nerves as the region endures its third full day with massive power outages.

Frustration with gas supplies topped the list of issues causing tensions to boil over in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut, the states hardest hit by power outages in the wake of superstorm Sandy. Residents jockeyed for fuel at the few stations still pumping, searched store shelves in vain for batteries, struggled with sporadic cell phone service and found themselves unable to buy necessities at supermarkets.

At an Exxon station in Northvale, N.J., where a line of cars stretched for a third of a mile late into Wednesday night, and another line of men waiting to fill red jerry gas cans inched along,

“I’ll wait here all night,” said Barry Levin, 42, of Cliffside Park. “I need this for my family.”

Staten Island Borough President: Don’t Give Money to the Red Cross

At a press conference this morning on Staten Island, a host of local officials, including Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, gathered to highlight the needs of the hard-hit borough in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. And, although many pols spoke, no one was more impassioned than Borough President James Molinaro, who called the Red Cross an “absolute disgrace” and even urged the public to cease giving them contributions.

“Because the devastation in Staten Island, the lack of a response,” Mr. Molinaro said to explain his comment to NBC after the press conference. “You know, I went to a shelter Monday night after the storm. People were coming in with no socks, with no shoes. They were in desperate need. Their housing was destroyed. They were crying. Where was the Red Cross? Isn’t that their function? They collect millions of dollars. Whenever there’s a drive in Staten Island, we give openly and honestly. Where are they? Where are they? I was at the South Shore yesterday, people were buried in their homes. There the dogs are trying to find bodies. The people there, the neighbors who had no electricity, were making soup. Making soup. It’s very emotional because the lack of a response. The lack of a response. They’re supposed to be here….They should be on the front lines fighting, and helping the people.”

NYC Looters Dress Like Con Edison Workers to Gain Access to Houses

Looters have taken advantage of the confusion and desperation by dressing as Con Edison workers and breaking into houses on the pretext that they were doing electrical repairs. Sushko reports that around 15 people have been arrested for looting.

When Hurricane Katrina struck downtown New Orleans, a huge issue that we saw unfold in the days after was the problem of looting and violence in the streets. Has New York seen anything like that in the past few days?

It has. Sadly it did. From what I understand there have been 15 arrests so far in the outer boroughs of New York City for people who were looting and were arrested. Here are a few stories that I’ve heard. People actually dressed up as Con Edison power utility workers during the actual storm and in the hours after it passed and went and looted apartments that way.

There have also been reports that several, I’d say dozens of pharmacies have been looted. As you know, pharmacies have medications and prescription pills that many people are addicted to and those were looted. Reports of maybe 12 to 15 pharmacies have been looted, but no arrests in connection to any pharmacy lootings.

Arrests made in post-storm incidents

A St. Albans, Queens man has been charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon after he attempted to cut a line at a gas station and pointed a pistol at another motorist who complained.

According to charges, Sean M. Bailey, 35, of 111-14 204th Street was attempting to pull his white 2010 BMW ahead of another motorist on a gas line at the intersection of Astoria Boulevard and 43rd Street sometime between 2:30 a.m. and 3:05 a.m. on Thursday.

Prosecutors say that when a 29-year-old driver complained, Bailey pulled out a gun, pointed it at the victim and said, “If you don’t pull back, you’re not getting gas tonight.”

Police arrested Bailey and found a loaded .25 caliber Phoenix Raven pistol in his left boot.  If convicted, Bailey faces up to fifteen years in prison.

National Guard responds to flooded Hoboken

Tempers flared Wednesday at a staging area outside City Hall, where a man screamed at emergency officials about why food and water had not been delivered to residents just a few blocks away. The man, who would not give his name, said he blew up an air mattress to float over to the staging area.

City officials defended their response.

“The dimension and scope of this situation is enormous,” Public Safety Director Jon Tooke said. “You have emergency operations at all levels — from local to federal — spread too thin across the city and the state, but we’re working on it.”

Tooke said the estimated 20,000 people still stranded in their homes were being encouraged to shelter in place, and that high-water vehicles would get supplies to them. He said people with medical and other special needs were being taken out by trucks. Two churches were serving as shelters.

Public housing, senior projects and private residences were all affected. Mayor Dawn Zimmer said senior citizens were the most distressed and eager to get more supplies.

Everything is fine and dandy according to the media. Obama flew in and now things are just peachy! That is what the media is telling people. Sadly, most of the public will buy this garbage and view Obama as some savior.
