Good morning. Another day to step suppressing your memories of being sexually assaulted by Bret Kavanaugh
36 years ago. Come on, you know that he hasassaulted every living organism at least once.
Retain Michael Avanatti and go public , just don’t go under oath. Set up a Go Fund Me page and get a book deal.

I think I have a welcome obligation to stand for the anthem and think about all the people who died fighting for freedoms. I stand for shared sacrifice, take my hat off, and put my hand over my heart. I don’t worry much about what other people do. I like to have the opportunity though. One of the very few public demonstrations I will participate in.
I don’t have life hard or easy but am inspired to do better by those who have it hard and still celebrate their lives.
@ RIX:
One patriotic story I witnessed and moved me. I was riding a public bus and an old Marine in uniform was sitting up front chatting with a few people. I could think he was a rough character but had a lot of pride. After a bit he had some health problem with his consciousness and started to falter. He was trying to sit upright but couldn’t manage it. Then I realized what bad shape he was in. Some young lady maybe 17 or 18 went out of her seat and sat next to him and propped him up on her shoulder and talked to him. She made everything better.
I just got home, still a bit woozy (fentanyl AND valium!). I see a scroll that says the WH broadened the scope of the FBI investigation? Can someone fill me in?
I think Judge Kavanaugh should be seated. Not in favor of the moral purity standards. There are people who learn from their mistakes and are much wiser and those that can’t learn the lessons.

Students Filed Title IX Complaints Against Kavanaugh to Prevent Him From Teaching at Harvard Law
In the days before Harvard Law School announced embattled Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh will not teach in Cambridge this January, undergraduates eager to block his return to campus struck on a new strategy: file Title IX complaints against the conservative judge.
Over the past week, several students filed formal complaints alleging Kavanaugh’s presence in Cambridge would violate Harvard’s policy prohibiting sexual and gender-based harassment — though several Title IX experts said this strategy was unlikely to succeed.
Jacqueline L. Kellogg ’19 — who said she has filed a complaint against Kavanaugh with the University’s Office for Dispute Resolution — came up with the idea several days ago. She began urging fellow students to follow suit over the weekend, at one point sending an email to a group of students at the College and the Law School that offered specific instructions on how to bring a formal complaint to ODR.
By the time The Crimson reported late Monday that Kavanaugh had left his teaching position at the Law School, at least 48 students had signed an online petition certifying they had filed a Title IX complaint against the nominee. But at least one signatory said that not all of those who signed the petition had actually filed complaints as of Monday evening.

God help us. Last night we adopted another cat, that a former co-worker of mine gave up. He’s got some… addiction issues and is going in for rehab. And of course being us we saw yet another cat in the parking lot of a local restaurant. Didn’t catch that one.
Plus there are 5 or so MORE kittens in back of a lumber yard that we’re going to partner with a Trap/Neuter/Release group to at least get fixed so there aren’t even more cats running around. They’re young enough that we might be able to socialize them & (in theory) take them to the Humane Society. That last step hasn’t worked out very well before.

It was sent to the Judiciary Committee. Grassley has sent a letter to Ford’s team.
The full details of Dr Ford’s polygraph are particularly important because the Senate Judiciary Committee has received a sworn statement from a longtime boyfriend of Dr. Ford’s, stating that he personally witnessed Dr Ford coaching a friend on polygraph examinations. When asked under oath in the hearing whether she’d ever given any tips or advice to anyone who was planning on taking a polygraph, Dr. Ford replied “Never”. This statement raises specific concerns about her polygraph examination results. The Senate therefore needs this information

Sometime between 2000 and 2003, Ms. Monica L McLean transferred to the Southern District of New York (SDNY), FBI New York Field Office; where she shows up on various reports, including media reports, as a spokesperson for the FBI.
…
After 2003, Ms. Monica L McLean is working with the SDNY as a Public Information Officer for the FBI New York Field Office, side-by-side with SDNY Attorney General Preet Bharara:
According to her LinkedIn profile, Ms. McLean retired from the FBI in 2016, after 24 years of work. [*It should be noted that Ms. McLean’s PIO partner in New York, Jim Margolin, is still currently employed there; and coincidentally attached to the case against President Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen.]
eaglesoars wrote:
See, that’s the thing about perjury. It’s when you knowingly give a answer that misleads the questionnaire. Most people think perjury is only when you overtly lie. But it isn’t.
When specifically asked if she or her staff have leaked the letter, Feinstien emphatically denied that neither she, nor her staff had done so. Her mistake, was in including her staff in that assertion. Had she not done that, she could have reasonably claimed that she was unaware that her staff had leaked the information i.e., her staff had lied to her.
However, by making the assertion that she had asked her staff, she admitted that she and her staff had discussed leaking the letter. Now that there is evidence that one of her staffer’s did in fact leak the letter, this admission indicates that her discussion with her staff on the matter of the leaked letter was not her asking her staff if they leaked, but telling her staff to assert that they had not leaked.
But more importantly, since she denied it, it was false information presented to the committee. The fact that she stuttered while making the assertion clearly indicates she was uncomfortable and surprised by the question.
Monica McLean, a friend of Christine Blasey Ford, rejected the assertion that Dr. Ford had coached her on how to take a polygraph test, as alleged by a former boyfriend of Dr. Ford in a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
“I have never had Christine Blasey Ford, or anybody else, prepare me, or provide any other type of assistance whatsoever in connection with any polygraph exam I have taken at anytime,” Ms. McLean said, in a statement released by Dr. Ford’s legal team.
The friend wasn’t identified in the ex-boyfriend’s letter, but Dr. Ford’s legal team said Ms. McLean was the woman.
which may be true. But how did Ford’s lawyers know who was being referred to if there is nothing to it? Altho’ I can see that a quite benign conversation may have taken place.
But at this point, these are the rules the Left has insisted are in play: guilty until proven innocent. Let’s play.

I just called my entire staff and told them not to come to work tomorrow.
They will get paid, but there is no work.
Well there is work we can do, but I am having a beer and no way I am going in at 8am tomorrow to unlock the door.
You thought the Honey Badger didn’t give a shit.
Hey badger, hold my beer…….
@ Possum:
I don’t have any beer.
But in February 2019, I will be kicked to the curb out of my current leased store space for…..
A liquor store.

If it was the democrats, yeah, they are that crafty and tricky. Republicans? They are completely incapable of any kind of subtlety.

And I do not give a shit about what we are currently going through.
It is a rough patch at the moment.
Tulsa vows were forever.
Text me in six months time……
I am there for you, forever.
@ Calo:

Gonna work for the local competition for a while, so it’s all somewhat ok.
The shopping center is trying to go public and felt that the Hallmark brand wasn’t good enough for Wall Street investors.
Liquor store moving into my spot is, coincidentally, is next door to a liquor store. I’m a bit perplexed.

add that up and its real time in the hoosegow!
@ Calo:
Calo, I am an asshole but I am your asshole.
We are going to be OK.
Hang in there, do what you do best.
EAST LANSING, Mich. — It may not be so hard to believe during this murky political landscape, but a new study finds the divide between Democrats and Republicans is the worst it’s ever been, more so than many people may even think.
bullshit.

They trying to run the other liquor store out of business? Maybe they’ve been a less than desirable tenant. It’s very unusual for a shopping center to have equivalent businesses in the same center.
@ Possum:
Oh, I will. HEB, a grocery store chain store that is right next door to liquor store and sells lots of beer and wine, will get a heads up on this. HEB was concerned about us taking away their greeting card sales.
They will not be happy with the new tenants they have to share space with.
I will not go away without a fight.
@ Calo:

this seems to be a BAD decision on somebodys part
@ AZfederalist:
Yes. The current liquor store lease is up in February 2019, same as mine.
But the big HEB grocery store has the right of refusal to any new tenant lease. That’s why I’m surprised they ok’d a liquor store in my spot and, most likely, the current liquor store spot. Not sure how that will help their beer and wine sales.
Calo wrote:
Or not fight, just come up with a plan and walk away.
I have a walk away plan for my current situation but it would leave three other people unemployed.
Not walking away yet.
Also when I do walk away staying in this area.
