6 Nations Round 4 2019 Weekend, and My Favorite Day Of The Year OPEN

Its the Welsh! They are at the top of the table with no losses. They are at The Scots in Legendary Murrayfield. The Scots will give them a good run, but I don’t think that the Welsh will be denied and win this one.

England is hosting Italy later today and should stomp the dog snot out of the pizanos at Twickenham. But, the Italians have better food, prettier women, and a generally better outlook on life…they just aren’t very good at rugby.

Tomorrow is the big one, France has to travel to Dublin to face a very pissed off Irish team. The Irish were to be the team to beat but they lost to England…and then the next week, the Welsh bled the Rose white to take control of the table. It’s the Welsh’s tournament to lose now as they are the only undefeated team. Next week the Irish have to go to Cardiff and play in what will be the noisiest stadium in the history of mankind. If Wales carry the the next two games, they are the 6 Nations Champions with a Grand Slam to boot.

And, it’s my favorite day of the year. Today is the Day of Surplus. Today, the Puti and I will go to the Country Club and pay my membership. Enough of a surplus was made last year to enjoy this luxury. Hard work reaps results and has benefits, Thank GOD for this.

The Frogs are going to be part of the platter for the Irish. Frogs Legs anyone? The Irish at home and especially when they are pissed off and have something to prove are lethal.

We may be looking at a finalist in there World Cup during the Six Nations Competition and given the speed with which everyone else has reached the current plateau of All Black Rugby, anyone is capable of lifting the silverware. The ABs need to somehow find it in themselves to again lift their game to yet another level.

This year will have many salad days of first class Rugby football.

    Can it wait.

    🙂

On the news this morning they covered something called the South by Southwest Conference
It is apparently all intellectuals and artists etc, you know better than you are.
A gaggle of Democrat candidates were there and all got to do a sit down interview.
AOC was there and the crowd was rapt hanging on her every word.
It was her typical uninformed gibberish , something about America being garbage or something, but they hung in every word, There is insanity afoot in the land.

Fortunately there is a multiplier effect from the Alternative media. Put one down and two pop up in its place. The shrinking of the middle class causes people to recognize fake news more often. There is a basic mismatch between what we are being told and what we experience first and second hand.

Citizen journalism is ‘catnip’ to people with curiousity.

Ocasio-Cortez: People Should Be ‘Excited About Automation’

Appearing at the SXSW conference Saturday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said people should be excited by the prospect of robots taking their jobs because it will afford them more time to pursue their creative passions.

Ocasio-Cortez speculated fears over automation stem from a lack of financial safety net and economic uncertainty. “We should not be haunted by the specter of being automated out of work,” the self-avowed democrat-socialist said, according to Fast Company. “We should not feel nervous about the tollbooth collector not having to collect tolls. We should be excited by that. But the reason we’re not excited about it is because we live in a society where if you don’t have a job, you are left to die.”

The freshman congresswoman floated a proposal by billionaire and Microsoft founder Bill Gates to tax robots at 90 percent to make up workers’ lost income from automation. “Whether it’s a tax rate, whether it’s distributing wealth that’s created by automation – if we approach solutions to our systems and start entertaining ideas like that, then we should be excited about automation because of what it could potentially mean,” she said.

Ocasio-Cortez then mused that with adequate policies in place, introducing more robots into the workforce could allow society more time to dabble in art and science, and actually increase the pace of innovation, freeing up “more time enjoying the world we live in.”

“Not all creativity needs to be bonded by wage,” she said to loud applause.

It’s standard operating procedure. Watch the political talk shows and all sides have their ‘talking points’ that they all use the same verbiage for.

And when the media has a narrative you know it because you wake up one day and the NYT, WaPo, CNN, et. al. are all using the EXACT same terminology. It’s as tho somebody plugged in a USB into their cortex overnite and downloaded the new script. Word for word.

Quick Iditarod update: Blair is doing very well for a first time Iditarod musher. She’s just left a checkpoint called Grayling and will be tracking along the Bering Sea for awhile soon. She has more checkpoints to go, it’s still a long trek. The distance from Grayling to Nome, the finish line, is about the same as that from Central Park to – Cleveland Ohio.

She hasn’t dropped any more dogs. About 5 mushers have scratched. Only one really concerns me, Emily Maxwell. This is her first Itidarod and she activated her emergency beacon outside – before – the Iditarod checkpoint, they had to go get her. Apparently she’d been between checkpoints for over 30 hrs. It may be ‘just’ a wrecked sled and no injury to living critters but we won’t know for awhile.

Nic Petit is current lead, the man is a machine. He’s something like 80 miles ahead of the pack.

Mark Levin interviewed L. Lin Wood, America’s premier defamation attorney, on his Fox TV Show last night. He’s the one that’s filed the $250M suit against the Washington Post on behalf of Nicholas Sandmann, the kid from Kentucky. Zucker should be worried. He’s filing the other lawsuit against CNN this morning. He said there are MORE to come.

He explained that he imagined the media people – and probably the Hollywood people he plans to sue as well – are going to try to dodge it all behind the word “opinion”. No, that’s not going to fly. The kid is a minor, and my guess is he has those journalists dead to rights. Also, Bill Maher and Jim Carrey need to have suits filed as well.

SCOTUS case law appears to be on his side, judging from his arguments made last night. Unless the media claims “Sullivan” protections. Which they essentially don’t have.

His analysis of how the media COULD have checked for the facts but didn’t was damning. I don’t know if the concept of something like ‘due diligence’ comes into play under the law but if it does, it sounds as tho he’s prepared to go into court and re-create ‘real time’ sources that were available and were either not used or ignored.

Also, he wants all CNN’s emails. AHAHAHAHAHA!!

You can’t lie to a media that doesn’t want to be lied to. You can’t have any social cohesion with a media that thrives on them.

Monday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” host Joe Scarborough called for members of the media to back off of obsessing over freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who he said is the media’s “latest fad.”

“AOC, I think she won her primary, which was basically her election,” said Scarborough. “She got 15,000 votes. She won by 3,500 votes. She got 15,000 votes. Hillary Clinton got what, 63, 64, 65 million votes? I think the press needs to keep everything in perspective.”

He continued, “I know they like to chase the latest fad, but they’ve done it with the Republicans for years, focusing on stupid comments by backbenchers. I think they probably need to keep this in better perspective.

My state was supposed to be approving a bill to allow concealed carry without special permitting. Instead this is the crap we’re now getting. Be careful people, the left is feeling jumpy and ready to move again.

Tomorrow, the House Judiciary Committee is scheduled to consider two gun control measures that would make it difficult for individuals to defend themselves in certain self-defense situations.

House Bill 480, sponsored by Rep. Mary Ann Dunwell, is an unnecessary storage law that could potentially make it difficult for gun owners to have their firearms ready for use in a self-defense situation. Criminals love this bill as it tips the scales in their favor in self-defense situations.

House Bill 477, sponsored by Rep. Moffie Funk, is firearm storage legislation similar to HB 480. Further, House Bill 477 includes a requirement that all licensed firearm dealers display signage of this new law and requirements.
