The same thing is happening in the blues world, even quicker, since a lot of those guys are older. I just ran across this video from Friday night at The Joint. Ronnie Earl & the Broadcasters. Lousy video, but the audio’s decent.

Ronnie Earl is one of the greatest blues guitarists of all time, but he’s getting on in years. He was barely able to walk during their set, and played most of it sitting down:

That’s a pretty incomplete list, nobody from Jefferson Airplane is on it. Nevertheless, for me it will be Keef. But he’s immortal, so I’m not worried.

I caught part of Chris Cain’s set Thursday night, and Ronnie Earl called him up on stage Friday, as well:

I think it’s a mistake to cancel primaries/caucuses. Yes it’ll save some money for the general election and it is kind of traditional to automatically nominate a sitting president, but I think he’d win the nomination. Of course who knows how many kook Democrats would register and support a worse candidate.

Meet one of our intellectual betters, who is telling hard truths about ‘climate change’

Finally, overwhelming numbers of human beings, including millions of government-hating Americans, need to accept high taxes and severe curtailment of their familiar life styles without revolting. They must accept the reality of climate change and have faith in the extreme measures taken to combat it. They can’t dismiss news they dislike as fake. They have to set aside nationalism and class and racial resentments. They have to make sacrifices for distant threatened nations and distant future generations. They have to be permanently terrified by hotter summers and more frequent natural disasters, rather than just getting used to them. Every day, instead of thinking about breakfast, they have to think about death.

You may not have heard of Jonathan Franzen before, he’s an ‘author’ who Oprah really likes. He makes a lot of money spewing bilge.

The climate apocalypse is coming. To prepare for it, we need to admit that we can’t prevent it.

In Santa Cruz, where I live, there’s an organization called the Homeless Garden Project. On a small working farm at the west end of town, it offers employment, training, support, and a sense of community to members of the city’s homeless population.
There may come a time, sooner than any of us likes to think, when the systems of industrial agriculture and global trade break down and homeless people outnumber people with homes. At that point, traditional local farming and strong communities will no longer just be liberal buzzwords. A project like the Homeless Garden offers me the hope that the future, while undoubtedly worse than the present, might also, in some ways, be better. Most of all, though, it gives me hope for today.

Franzen is obviously a true believer who hasn’t taken a hard STEM course in his whole progressive life. Certainly not statistics. His wild imaginings would see himself eating kale and strawberries from his co-operative as commercial farming that feeds millions dies. To that bit of Progressive whimsy might I respond POPULATION! Local co-op gardens are not going to feed Franzen or his hoard of unemployable drug addled ‘zombies’. Likely these denizens of Franzen’s Brave New World will …. ‘have Franzen for dinner’ …. and fight over his ‘best bits’.

The delusion is strong with this one.

    🙂

This doesn’t make his doom laden musings any less dangerous.

    You betcha it is.

Just more of the same ‘elitist’ One World Government movement that I have discussed previously.

The former government Minister who I know VERY well actually said that the plan was to reduce the global population to 500 million by the end of the century … BY ACTIVE MEANS!

    Spit.

He’s really has a deformed character, probably because he can’t have children and threw his hand in with the One World-Era when they poached him whilst he was reading his Doctorate of Laws at Cambridge.

He actually never had a real job. School to University(s) to politics to backbencher to Cabinet Minister to …. well nothing really. Just a few ‘jobs for the elite’ on various ‘Boards’ that keep him in spending ca$h. Wifey is a Maori radical activist and also a lawyer sucking on the teat of the State with the Treaty of Waiting Land Court, settling Maori Land claims and various ‘legal extortion’ schemes to keep the cash flowing from the public purse into the pocket of the lawyers and elites of Maoridom.

Sidney Powell, Flynn’s lawyer, has just told the House Select Committee on Intelligence to go fuck themselves.

Because your position is so unreasonable and unethical, we are copying Chairman Schiff and Ranking Member Nunes. Perhaps the Committee will decide to exercise better judgment
    .
    .
As far as testimony is concerned, we have already informed you that
at our insistence, Mr. Flynn will assert his Fifth Amendment privilege and will not answer any questions.
    .
    .
It is, at best, unseemly and unethical to compel any citizen

let alone one who hasserved our country with such distinction for so long

to go through a meaningless exercise only to cause expense and embarrassment, with exactly zero legitimate gain for the Committe

So I guess what we’re looking for is an equilibrium, where supply matches demand? I’m hearing frackers having problems too, but I haven’t followed up/dug in. Over=supply problem there or over investment in sites that get tapped out?

One America News Network Sues MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow For $10 Million

OANN is suing Maddow, MSNBC, Comcast Corporation and NBC Universal for defamation, alleging Maddow “maliciously and recklessly” went after the network by suggesting it is a Russian state propaganda outlet, the complaint reads, according to Law and Crime. Maddow said that OANN “really, literally is Russian propaganda” on “The Rachel Maddow Show” in July.

Well, it is a documentary about Coal, not oil. Or, more importantly, rather than a documentary about the history of coal or oil, about what the US government is doing to the small independent coal miner’s in America.

It seems that the (so called conservative) NZ Leader of the Opposition Simon Bridges has been a naughty boy on a trip to China.

Bridges, with Brownlee his fellow opposition spokesman on the Security Services (NZSIS and NZ GCSB (SigInt)) and his NZ opposition backbencher Dr. Yang Jian (who is a known ‘? former ?’ CCP member and lecturer at the Chinese security services university) met with Chinese Politburo Justice Minister and Politburo Standing Committee leader for the Ministry of State Security (China’s Spy Agency.

Why Bridges and his crew would meet with China’s Spy Chief and WHY would Bridges and Brownlee take Dr. Yang Jian with them when is highly suspect of being a MSS plant within the NZ National Party. The NZ Labour Party Government also has a Chinese backbencher suspected of being a ‘sleeper agent for the MSS within the NZ Parliament and the Arden government.

Is Bridgers that stupid or is just sucking up to Beijing with the hope of scoring some more Chinese $$$$ to support next year’s election budget for the National Party?
