NCAA Football Championship for the 2019 Season Open

Done with 4 nights in a row. But, no time to slack off. There is what promises to be one of the greatest football games in the history of College Ball tonight. As it is Saturday morning for me, some details have to be attended to. The pellet reactor smoker is lit, and we have fission smoke. I’ll nap whilst the Cajun brined and injected turkey breast gets layered with my Yankee Smokers proprietary blend of wood pellets. The girls demand beer-can chicken. that will go an later.

A cigar is in order, as well as a shot and a beer whist Mrs Coldwarrior is at the gym. A Perla Del Mar Churchill, a fridge temperature Stoli shot, and a Cigar City Brewing Maduro chaser fits the bill nicely. The Perla Del Mar is something that every cigar lover should have in their humidor. It’s damn near perfect. I almost always buy my cigars at auction, these, I pay full price for, gladly.

#3 Clemson versus #1 LSU at 8:00 PM from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in N’Orleans. The pretenders and wanna-be over rated programs are weeded out. There are no Sooners, Tide, Buckeyes, or Ducks. It’s TIGERS all the way down!

LSU is giving 6 to Clemson (as of yesterday and I am going with that). That LSU offense is flat out great. They could beat some pro teams. Clemson is no slouch on O either. Both defenses are really good too. Clemson’s QB is undefeated, 25-0. And he’s ‘just’ Sophomore! ‘Clemson allows the fewest points of any team in the country (11.5 per game) and the second-fewest yards (264.1).’ but they don’t play in the SEC like LSU. It comes down to Clemson’s defense. LSU can make any D look foolish. I would not be surprised if LSU wins by 3 touchdowns.

Back to the 6 point spread.

38/69…1600/1000 thus far. That’s a 60% ROI (with fake money because I would never bet real money on a bunch of 20 y.o. kids, ever.). I’ll put $100 on Clemson to cover…but LSU wins. The bet is on the ‘line’, not on the eventual winner. I won’t bet more as I don’t have confidence. Clemson beat Ohio State with some late game heroics and a ‘bend don’t break’ defense. That might not work against the LSU machine.

Ohio State was over-rated again by the media, and are always over rated by their fans, sorry, my doppelgänger. But it’s the truth. Ohio State is in fact one Woody Hayes quality head-coach away from dominating NCAA ball. But, that only comes around once in a lifetime…and they had theirs. They have the talent but not the discipline.

The cigar is all but finished, my booze is done, the smoker is on auto-pilot. Nap time.

Have a great day. See yinz tonight.

You have to wonder who has dibs on playing “Hold that Tiger!”

During the reg college season, my heart’s always with the Tide and Clemson. Folks in New Orleans HATE LSU, but I have to admit that their awesomeness of this team cannot be underrated and they’ve earned their No. 1 ranking and will be hard to beat. But in full disclosure, I will be rooting for Quarterback surfer dude.

Although, after this weekend, watching Baltimore fall to the Titans, anything is possible. My only hope is that Kansas City stays alive. And here’s hoping Middle America kicks the crap out of Poop City in the Conference final.

Blasphemy! Though all my Michigan acquiantances have suddenly found themselves to be born-again Clemson fans and have been serving up the crow. Meh.

    @ Buckeye Abroad:

The BCS always wants Ohio State in the mix. Same with Notre Dame. The agonizing they went through to get the latter in the finals in 2013, leaving most people who follow college ball gobsmacked, resulted in such a shellacking by the Tide that many people had turned the game off by halftime. It was, after all, a work night.

that means money has been going on Clemson to cover

    @ coldwarrior:

I agree. Nothing better on a rainy night when there’s nothing to make for dinner.

However, lately in my area they’ve been slacking off. We ordered from Carl’s Jr. last week at 6:30 and the food didn’t arrive until over an hour later and the fries were ice cold. My thing now is to wait until they get there to tip them in cash. That way they aren’t sitting on a generous tip and screwing off.

Our WORST experience was a big order from KFC that the driver apparently just took home with her and then reported she’d left it at our doorstep because we didn’t answer the door. We were tracking her progress and she took off for parts unknown and when we called her she said she had an emergency and that we needed to call DoorDash. But she’d already picked up the order according to KFC. She was telling quite a few stories all around.

But I give them credit – they are REALLY good about issuing a refund right away if something goes wrong.

Interesting piece on the Aust. Bushfires by Delingpole.
Some interesting facts I didn’t know about, including this one from Judith Curry:-

“Eight megadroughts are identified in eastern Australia including one 39 year drought (A.D. 1174–1212), which occurred during an unprecedented century of aridity (A.D. 1102–1212).”

Yet the fascist Left cry that the 2019-20 fire season is the biggest in history.
    Not even close.
    Current fires 8.5 million hectares.
    1974-1975 was 117 million hectares. That’s not a misprint.

The level of lying about these fires by the fascist Left is reaching epic proportions folks.

Every Sane Person Saw This Coming, Now A Pedophile Claims He Identifies As An 8-Year-Old Girl

A convicted sex offender in Michigan is heading to prison for 10–20 years after being caught with child pornography on his computer. What makes this case interesting is the defense that 45-year-old Joseph Gobrick offered in court. Speaking to a judge at his sentencing hearing, Gobrick claimed that he has a First Amendment right to look at child porn. He also claimed that he identifies as an eight-year-old girl.

“I’ve always been an eight-year-old girl,’’ Gobrick contended. “Even in my drawings and fantasies, I am always an eight-year-old girl. … There are adults having sex with me in an online forum as an eight-year-old girl.”

The judge apparently did not find this argument persuasive. No reasonable person would. But an obvious question is raised here. Why exactly can’t Gobrick identity as a young girl? On what basis can we deny or disqualify his self-identification?

But really, I live on the West Coast and it was what – almost 8:30 PST at the start of the 4th Quarter? East Coast was looking at what – after MIDNIGHT for the game to be over?

WHY do they put this game on a Monday night and start it so damn late? Especially in the midst of the NFL playoffs, two weeks after the playoffs when NO ONE is thinking about college ball? Why not have it on a FRIDAY night right before the first Wild Card game?

AREA 1 IS CROWDSTRIKE. The same crew that said the DNC was hacked by Russia.

The way this is going to play – IMHO – is that we’re going to be told Russia was doing Trump’s dirty work looking for dirt on Biden, ergo nothing can be reported on this because it’s all Russian propaganda.

She is often disappointing lately, but still manages to hit one or two out of the park. That one is gone and into the cheap seats if not over the wall.

    oh good luck!

Everybody go find James O’keefe’s video of the Bernie campaign guy, Kyle somebody. Field organizer in Iowa. Talks about the advantages of Stalin’s gulags (they were paid wages, we will put billionaires in them to break rocks 12 hours a day so they no longer think they’re superior, etc.). Threatens to burn down Milwaukee if Bernie doesn’t get the nom. Pure leftist totalitarianism on parade. Just in time for the debate tonite. Everybody in Bernie’s Iowa campaign is making all their social media accts private.

Here’s a bit if you have a twitter acct

Also, it looks like this guy was arrested for drugs about a week ago – for the 2nd time.

I was just about to post that. That would be enough to destroy a normal person on the right. Death by association. Who are the nazis again? All these Bernie supporters are totalitiarian thugs ready for violent tantrums if things don’t go their way and violent revolution if things do go their way.

And it was a Bernie Bro who tried to kill Steve Scalise, et. al.

But not a word at the debate.

Of course not, to reveal anything about that is to reveal the truth about the entire left. Not allowed. Isn’t allowed for our side to say either. Their side can make up lies though, tying us to any kind of atrocity.

    @ Deplorable Martian Overlord:

In light of the Project Veritas video, all the Bernie campaign organizers have now locked down their Twitter accounts. I imagine they are going through their entire Twitter feeds and deleting all pro-Commie/gulag/violence/Castro/Stalin references. They’ll be back when they’ve been scrubbed clean.

Meanwhile, of course, they forget that there are people who liked and responded to them. Screen shots are probably being taken now before the Tweets are deleted. If O’Keefe doesn’t have them already.

Oh you guys are gonna LOVE this. Turns out the “commemorative pens” that Sloppy Chompers handed out after she signed the Articles to send over to the Senate had the word “UNITED” misspelled as “UNTIED”.

I’d like to think the pen manufacturer is a Trump supporter and misspelled it on purpose knowing that Speaker Sloshy wouldn’t be bothered to check.

    Get ready

I can’t believe I’m writing this, but it increasingly looks like associates of Donald Trump were planning a mob hit to murder an American ambassador.

    https://twitter.com/joncoopertweets/status/1217423502627758082

The ambassador referred to is Yavanovitch. And if you think that tweet is straight out of a reddit wet dream, Jon Cooper is chairman of the Dem Coalition and was L.I. campaign chair for Obama

    sweet dreams
