I didn’t watch the virtual DNC convention, but apparently this is the actual ending signoff. A black gay guy dancing in a dress. Singing the Buffalo Springfield song “There’s a man with a gun over there…” Must be seen to be believed.

Today is the 100th anniv of the voting rights act. Susan B. Anthony was convicted for voting (by an all male jury, natch).

SHE is the person Trump is pardoning today.

As highest ranking woman elected official in New York and on behalf of Susan B. Anthony’s legacy we demand Trump rescind his pardon.

She was proud of her arrest to draw attention to the cause for women’s rights, and never paid her fine. Let her Rest In Peace,

I have a question for everybody.

Hubby is really worried. He has zero feel for how the election will go (same for me).

We have no idea what the country in general is seeing/thinking.

I am the one in this household who makes sure we see everything. But a lot of people have neither the time nor the inclination. We’re thinking that a lot of people have no clue about any riots or if they do, it’s just that ‘peaceful protest’ somewhere on the West coast. I saw one story about most Americans think 30% of us have been infected with Covid. Wha????

We’re thinking that maybe most Americans have no idea what’s going down on the ground. Zero. And we have no idea what that means for the election.

    Thoughts?

    coldwarrior wrote:

yeah. Organ recipients and donors aren’t allowed to communicate directly, everything has to go thru a transplant screening thingy so identities, etc. stay private.

But my friend said that her mom was told to get to the hospital by 8 am, they had a donor. She didn’t go into OR until 10 pm, 14 hours later. During that time, the family was given some medical background on the donor in the event they wanted to refuse the organ. In this case, the donor had received multiple blood transfusions in the last 24 hours. My friend doesn’t know what that meant medically, but the family took it to mean the donor had died suddenly and not peacefully. The medical staff spent some time trying to save her but…………..

    Long read, but bookmark it

There’s a reason why this shifted away from Minneapolis to Seattle and Portland. This is where the majority of John Brennan’s foreign fighters are located in the US.

The play the DNC is making goes much further than winning election 2020. The fact they are willing to attack and destroy part of their own base should have done more than raise a few eyebrows.

I don’t know. On the one hand this mask BS and seeing the masked zombies en mass is a concern — it says people are listening to the lame stream media and being mal-informed OTOH, a couple of weeks ago, one of the cafeteria workers at work told me (insert Spanish accent), “I keep getting all these calls from Trump and Biden, it’s driving me nuts. I’m a democrat, but i’m voting for Trump. I can’t stand Biden and besides – I like my job and want to keep it”. So I don’t know, it may be that many of the masked zombies are just going along so they don’t get eaten.

Right now I’m a little stressed at the office.
LNU Lightning Complex fire is moving into Vacaville, 15 miles north of my home in Fairfield. Winds are the problem and lots and lots and LOTS of dry grass from the last four days of century-level heat.

    Crossing my fingers.

Edit: Whoops, the bottom edge of the “affected area” is four miles from my house. But it’s not a grassy area, which means it won’t have as much fuel and people might be able to fight it off with garden hoses if it creeps into the residential areas. Everyone’s home, so they’ll be ready with the jet sprays and the power washers (big in our area).

who the fuck wants to watch that?

  46. 50 | August 19, 2020 1:31 pm

    @ rain of lead:

I won’t be watching football, of course, and have canceled Sunday Ticket. Hearing that there have been a lot of cancellations and DirecTV is going to lose a LOT of money. Might be time for their most excellent lawyers to get in touch with the NFL and get them out of their contract to carry since the NFL is not “living up” to their side of the bargain.

Meanwhile, of course, Football Savant Offspring will follow his Raiders all the way to Sin City, even though he does not agree with the kneeling. Can’t blame him, the kid LOVES football (he loves Trump too so no worries in that department). He’s a rabid Madden game fan and I was noticing the realism of the backgrounds for the game. If the NFL (and the networks) had any sense, rather than have a paltry group in the stands, find a way to work with EB games to insert the Madden graphics for the stands (which can be adjusted so that fans are wearing the jerseys of the two opposing teams) into the broadcast of the games. Would be far more realistic.

What the hell is the NBA doing? Zoom photos of their fans in the stands? Looks silly.

Laura Loomer wins her primary in Florida

The most shocking voter suppression tactics came from a south Florida CBS affiliate which posted fake results of the election two days before the election, alleging that Loomer had garnered only 2% of the final count. The fake results remained posted for 12 hours, taken down only after various threats from Loomer’s legal team.

    https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2020/08/laura_loomer_wins_her_primary_in_florida.html

Regardless of what you think of Loomer, they are going to use this tactic on steroids in November.

Good on her for threatening, but she should continue the lawsuit if she can get the grassroots support to pay for it.

If it’s a Verizon store, you might want to see if you need an appointment.

Those places are getting ridiculous. Last time I was in mine the first thing I saw was a lady staring at the ceiling, saying things like “I just want a phone.” and “I bought my car quicker than this.”

eagles – you may be able to order a new phone on the internet. These days you no longer need to go in and have them transfer your info. When I got my new iPhone, all I did was hold my OLD iPhone close to it and it transferred all my data to it. They send it to you loaded with a SIM card for your number.

    Here’s Samsung’s data transfer info: https://www.samsung.com/us/smart-switch/

Crimeny. You think Goodyear is bad. Sania Labs is totally infested.

    https://twitter.com/realchrisrufo/status/1296118650215075840

Last week, Sandia held a new thought-work session for about “systemic racism” for 3,000 employees.

According to one attendee, the speakers claimed whites have exploited African-Americans, must pay reparations, and must “battle racism locally, nationally, and in the workplace.”

According to one senior weapons engineer, when my initial investigation broke national news, Sandia executives locked down the video of the training session and deployed counterintelligence teams out of concern that “disenfranchised employees will become insider threats.”

  72. eaglesoars
    76 | August 19, 2020 5:46 pm

And finally, here is my message to @SandiaLabs executives: I am preparing a FOIA request for all of your diversity documents, materials, and videos. If you attempt to conceal them, I will bury you in lawsuits.

I am everywhere. I am relentless. I will not be denied.

Unfortunately, I’m not sure it’s possible. The main purpose of pushing as many people as possible to vote by mail is to create a condition where it’s impossible to announce a winner on election night. Keep in mind that in the majority of states, and almost all major cities, the election process is controlled by Democrats, regardless of who the mayor or governor is.

Once they get their built-in pause, they’ll have time to fabricate enough ballots to create the desired outcome. At some point in the future, it will come to light that multiple precincts had well over 100% turnout, all of it for Biden, but it won’t matter.

Me? I’d walk out after the first five minutes. I’m old enough to retire, I have enough irons in the fire that my departure would be short term painful for the powers that be and I could live with my pension payout and 401k.

I see Dana Perino complaining about Trumps tactic on the USPS mail balloting situation.

I worked in a an election office briefly. There is no way election systems can switch gears to mail in voting in a few months.

The postal system has too big an error rate to entrust with elections. I requested a ballot by mail this year. A validation mail was supposed to be delivered no later than three days ago. Nothing.

I’ve constantly had mail rejected by the post office the past 5 years. They are a complete mess if one changes addresses. Or tries to use a PO Box.

Bannon doesn’t need money, he gets a pretty penny from Hollywood residual/producer stuff, he ain’t poor. My take on it is that altho I’ve known really smart people who do really stupid stuff, if Bannon were going to steal it would probably be in such a convoluted manner nobody would realize it. There were 100 new cases reported Thursday by the Allegheny County Health Department, after just 27 were reported Wednesday. New cases have stayed under 100 for most of the month, having now reached triple digits just three times in August.
