Joe Lockhart took to Twitter last night to snark at Nick Sandmann for giving a speech at the RNC:

    https://twitchy.com/dougp-3137/2020/08/25/joe-lockhart-analyst-for-cable-net-that-settled-defamation-lawsuit-from-nick-sandmann-didnt-watch-that-snot-nose-entitled-kid-from-kentucky-speak-at-the-republican-convention/

My guess is that the Legal Dept. at CNN is probably ready to drop kick this ass clown over the Chrysler Building. Because I’m pretty damn sure that the settlement agreement between Sandmann and CNN contains a “nondisparagement” clause.

Brilliant, Lockhart. Because usually violating ANY terms of a settlement agreement has a penalty stated right in it. In millions.

    gee, that’s too bad.

You know, it’s depressing. People like Lockhart, Bette Midler, etc., supposedly adults, being SO ugly. Remember when we all thought Rosie O’Donnell was a really fun person?

    sheesh

I wish I could find it again, my morning has been busy, but somebody on twitter did some research and found connections between Extinction Rebellion, OWS, Ad whatever, behind the riots. Multiple masks, one face.

Here is a 20 sec interview with the Kenosha shooter. He was there to protect property.

    “We don’t have non-lethal”

He’d already been pepper sprayed by the rioters

I don’t know enough about this latest shooting. I know the fact he was shot in the back looks very bad for the cops. And I at least understand he was supposed to have had a knife, but I’m not sure.

Was he attacking someone? Threatening them? Again, I don’t know.

    @ eaglesoars:

This particular incident is REALLY confusing. Kid is 17, lives in Illinois, but traveled to Kenosha with a firearm and was out after curfew. The story is going out NOW from the Left that the kid shot someone and that’s why they were chasing him down and that was when he was assaulted and shot the other two. I have only seen snippets of the video so I haven’t been able to make any type of judgment call.

    @ right_wing2:

He was shot in the back, yes. He did, however, survive, so I’m just going to assume that the officer involved was trying to incapacitate him and not kill him. They were trying to serve a warrant (for sexual assault on a 14-year-old and domestic violence charges) and the man has a history of pulling a gun on people. Photos show he was armed with a knife. He was tased, told to stop and yet he tried to get in his truck and was reaching for something.

He is a VERY bad dude. He has pulled a gun on people in arguments, and no doubt the police had this information on them when they tried to approach him to take him into custody. BLM always seems to die on the wrong hill.

Oh, and saw a blurb that coroner is saying George Floyd had LETHAL level of Fentanyl in his system. A friend who is a former police officer (and Black, I will add) said that how do we even know that the actions of the officer in the Floyd scenario were even racially motivated. He also wonders if there was even any pressure applied to Floyd’s neck, that he just had his leg OVER the neck. You can’t tell from the photo if any pressure is being applied.

Still, the optics there aren’t the best.

    @ eaglesoars:

Yeah, I’ve heard they were his kids. And this walking turd would have not had a problem using them as human shields. They’re trying to claim he was there to break up a bar fight. Other witnesses say this is a load of baloney. Sounds to me like the whole “trying to break up a bar fight” scenario is this year’s “hands up don’t shoot” fairytale.

Every one here is a red head right?

An old blind cowboy wanders into an all-girl biker bar by mistake…
He finds his way to a bar stool and orders a shot of Jack Daniels.
After sitting there for a while, he yells to the bartender, “Hey, you wanna hear a blonde joke?”

The bar immediately falls absolutely silent.
In a very deep, husky voice, the woman next to him says, “Before you tell that joke, Cowboy, I think it is only fair, given that you are blind, that you should know five things:
The bartender is a blonde girl with a baseball bat.
The bouncer is a blonde girl with a ‘Billy-Club’.
I’m a 6-foot tall, 175-pound blonde woman with a black belt in karate.
The woman sitting next to me is blonde and a professional weight lifter.
The lady to your right is blonde and a professional wrestler.
Now, think about it seriously, Cowboy… Do you still wanna tell that blonde joke?”

The blind cowboy thinks for a second, shakes his head and mutters, “No…not if I’m gonna have to explain it five times…”

Its interesting re voterid. I had to recheck my registration by the internet and I couldn’t progress past the startup screens without a DMV ID. I checked two states.

the type of ID suppression that these judges rule on doesn’t exist anymore in the age of the internet. And if someone doesn’t have an ID I am sure that there is an activist that would jump at the chance to get them one.

Well, I seem to have everything repaired on my trailer and SUV. Just went out and checked it over, and all the lights work properly.

I’ve come to the conclusion that it was my own fault, rather than a problem with either of them. The ignition was on in the SUV when I hooked the cable up, and apparently, the 12v aux circuit (the one with the 40 amp fuse) is energized when it’s on. It was actually just an arc between the connectors. They should really put that in the instructions.

So…keys go in my pocket first. Check

I’m researching some recipes (what CAN one do with onions for god’s sake?) and trundled thru White House State dinners and whatever we do we will never achieve this level of utter failure

No American menu has reached the heights—or lows—of the infamous banquet served to a visiting Soviet delegation by Mao Zedong’s China in 1954, where the centerpiece, “Dragon Fighting the Tiger,” consisted of a skinned cat and a python. The Soviets blankly refused to partake in the traditional festive Cantonese dish, while two secretaries were violently ill, and an already rocky relationship crumbled further.

Yep. There are screen shots of him saying he was going to murder the kid. Also, I need to find it, but there is an analysis of the audio that says that the first gunshots came from a handgun. If so, then he probably fired back in self-defense. There is video of one of the guys who was killed yelling at him to SHOOT him. Turns out the guy is a violent convicted pedophile.

So you’ve been trying to contact Holliday Inn as well? I tried making reservations on their web site a month ago but never got to a confirmation screen despite fixing the “problems” they kept flagging. On the third try, they came back with, “there is a problem with your reservation, you must call 1-800-waste-ur-time. At which point I gave up and booked with Hampton. So, morning after we stayed at Hampton and I had my work device, it turns out Holiday Inn booked me 3 times. .. and charged me because I was a no-show. Call the Holiday Inn I booked, was told I had to call corporate. Called corporate, was told I needed to call the place I booked. [Mostly] patiently explained I did that and they told me to call you. After 30 minutes with horrible hold noise, they gave me a ticket number. Tried calling the other day and was told my refund was refused and I need to call the place I booked. Yeah, I’m sure the front desk guy there will be able to resolve this. So, right now I’m out $450 and would probably lose a dispute through the credit card company since I was notified on a device — I just didn’t have it with me. This is the last money Holiday Inn will ever get from me either personally or for work — and I travel enough that they just screwed themselves out of a lot of bookings. Also going to share my experience with friends & colleagues. Several subsequent attempts at contact have been abject failures.

It was a problem with their website. I’ve never had a problem at the hotels. Where they have failed is their inability to remedy what was essentially their problem. That’s a deal breaker for me.

Have you sprung for a ‘six-sticker’ ball yet? Use a glove at first before you get the girls used to catching a hard ball. Use a tennis ball as well just to get their eyes ‘in’. Then gradually introduce them to the hard ball. Don’t go too fast or you will scare them when they catch a hard hit ball and it stings like blazes. Take care with HOW they catch or ‘corked fingers’ will hurt them and make them frightened of catching gloveless.

It took 5 attempts to corporate with about a dozen intermediary contacts for them to just say ok we’ll listen.

This corporation had at least 3 computer systems in various stages of decay. And two mergers and acquisitions in my time with them. And about 5 levels of support from legions of customer service who were convinced the system could do no wrong. Don’t get me started on the self help voice menu.

Lol I need an AI assistant to solve these things. I am surprised Amazon doesn’t tackle this through Alexa. Amazon I always get stellar service. I try not to abuse it. Because they replace stuff at their cost.

Especially in a state trying to restrict the 2A.

That’s federal law, actually. And yes, people who were dishonorably discharged are included, because the only way you can get a dishonorable discharge (as opposed to a “less than honorable” discharge) is as part of a sentence from a General Court Martial, which is equivalent to a felony conviction.

Get them into catching dad’s edges as they stand in ‘slips’ , at ‘silly point’ and silly mid off’, with Mrs CW throwing a tennis ball to Dad CW at the wicket. As each junior CW catches the tennis ball the return it to Mrs. CW. This will sharpen up their reflex catching skills and they will improve really quickly.

Then give them a baseball glove each and do the same thing with a ‘six-stitcher’. When they are confident doing that put them in the outfield and hit a six-stitcher to them while they wear a baseball glove. Let them take their time and slowly build their confidence.

One badly corked finger with a hard cricket ball can destroy their confidence, so go slowly.

Strange how you get referred pain in widely separated places when you mess with nerves. Had a
double herniated discs in my back. Suffered getting physio and getting racked and stretched for 3 months. Just as it was coming right and the popcorn swelling was reducing the Queen called me to come and run an interrogation resistance course for some SAS candidates. I said no but they convinced me that all I had to do was supervise so I said OK. One dark and stormy night at zero-dar-thirty hours I was walking up a road heading back to the tunnel complex when I tripped and fell and my back double herniated again . Only this time there was no place for the pop-corn swelling to go except behind my spine and it carried my spinal cord with it.
Crawled the last 50 metres to the CP and got transported out. Spent a week kneeling down with my face in my pillow on the floor. The only position that I could stand the pain …. in MY RIGHT ARM of all places. Referred pain due to the nerves in my back being scrunched up and driven against my backbone.

I was past caring whether they shot me or fixed me.
The nuns at Mater Misericordia Hospital were fantastic especially when they found out my surname. The same as their original prioress, way back when. The surgeon apologised for the size of the scar but to get access to the back of my spine he said he had to go in boots and all!
