In the clip I saw Gingrich was told he would not be allowed to talk about Soros. In forceful terms.

I like Harris Faulkner. In her non Fox work she seems particularly well grounded. She would be a good friend to anyone who needed one. But it looks like there is something wrong at Fox news if Soros is off limits.

I wonder what is wrong with Wray. Shouldn’t he be examined?

I think the issue is around boundaries. There are plenty of people in the legal/judicial system that lose their sense of boundaries when dealing with crime. They start to see racism wherever the word white is printed. They lost the ability to discriminate about what is harmful. A sheet of white paper becomes the seed of racism to them.

Wray has reached the end of his shelf life and probably shouldn’t have been marketed in the first place.

I never watched that show Sponge Bob Squarepants. But now when I go shopping and just want to keep a mental shopping list I imagine Sponge Bob Squarepants drinking coffee if I need to buy coffee. Throwing grapes at passing cars if I need to buy grapes. And sure enough my shopping trips are 100 percent successful now.

I am wondering if this places me in the Cristopher Wray category.

So far, it’s been a pretty good trip. No mechanical problems. The weight distributing hitch I finally got installed has been a big help, too. I was actually thinking I was going to have to get a bigger vehicle (probably an Expedition) in order to successfully pull this thing, but it’s much better now.

I’m in Silver City now. KOA is having a two for one weekend, so I’m staying here until Sunday morning. It’ll be nice not having to pack everything up in the morning tomorrow.

I’m going to explore the area some tomorrow, since I’ve never been down here before. The Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument is fairly close, so I may go over there.

I am still thinking about getting a dog, but haven’t done much beyond looking at a few websites. I want a Sheltie puppy.

Politics is not fair. I took history classes. There is nothing in the official laws of the country that say “wait to appoint”. That is just a courtesy or gambit depending on the political composition of the legislature. If you have the majority here you do the vote. It wasn’t fair to impeach Trump. It wasn’t fair to charge Gen Flynn.

If fairness was an issue for politicians the impeachment would have never got off the ground.

So, on our company performance reviews, we need to list accomplishments and activities for the previous year. There is an option for “legal scan”. One of my tasks is writing white papers for customers to evaluate for possible future work. Guess what legal scan comes back with? Yep, it highlights “white” and “suggest revising wording”. Of course I don’t because this is the common term for what we do. It is quite laughable

wait. To be sure I understand this. You write a ‘white paper’ outlining possible future ventures to assist clients that your company may be hired to implement. The term ‘white paper’ is in the document. You submit the document to software whose functional purpose is a ‘legal scan’ and the results are to capture the word ‘white’ in the term ‘white paper’.

    Cruz explains the issue

“Democrats and Joe Biden have made clear they intend to challenge this election. They intend to fight the legitimacy of the election. As you you know Hillary Clinton has told Joe Biden ‘under no circumstances should you concede, you should challenge this election.’ and we cannot have election day come and go with a 4-4 court.”

Cruz continued, “A 4-4 court that is equally divided cannot decide anything. And I think we risk a constitutional crisis if we do not have a nine-justice Supreme Court, particularly when there is such a risk of … a contested election.”

That was my initial reaction – Turtle takes the unholy trinity aside and advises them that if they want ANY Committee assignments In January, they better play ball.

Of course, the gnashing of the teeth – “but, but MERRIK GARLAND!!!!” Circumstances are not the same. Obama was a lame duck President in 2016; Trump is not. And frankly, I’m not onboard with the RBG rock star train, She was selfish woman who should have retired from the bench years ago for the sake of the integrity of the Court. If she was so set on having a Democrat President replace her, she should have retired in 2015. And I consider her letter saying her replacement should wait until after the election to be highly improper. She has no business in this.

Considering that there will be significant legal challenges to the rulings currently being made by state courts before this election, we need the full complement of justices. Of course, they need to remember that the basic tenet of the Bush v. Gore decision was that it is the LEGISLATURE that makes election law; it is not subject to interpretation or modification by the courts.

Also no center line, mostly no shoulder or guard rails, and random pedestrians (hikers), bicyclists, and animals.

It’s a pretty good hike up to the actual cliff dwellings, although not as strenuous as the one to the top of El Morro. Once I got up there, I got stuck behind a trio of young women who were apparently taking pictures for Instagram or something. 🙁

We two were the only Kiwi participants so we have to work on that as well. Where did THAT come from?” But it turned out to be the 1st shot across the bow on a narrative that George was tasked with starting.

I think he just did it again.

In a slightly bizarre exchange, Stephanopoulos asks if the House would impeach Trump or Barr if Senate GOP tries to vote on a SCOTUS nom during lame duck session (to stall the confirmation), and Pelosi refuses to rule it out: “We have our options. We have arrows in our quiver.”

Jim Caviezel Rebukes Christian Fence-Sitters in Inspired Interview

“Every lesson in history tells us that the greater risk lies in appeasement and this is the specter our well-meaning Christian liberal friends, our priests, bishops, and pastors refuse to face, that their policy of accomodation is appeasement and it gives us no choice between peace and war, only between fight and surrender. If we continue to accomodate, continue to [move] back and retreat we will have to face the final demand, the final ultimatum and what then?…

Voices pleading for peace at any price, or ‘better Red than dead,’ or as one commentator put it he would rather live on his knees than die on his feet and therein lies the road to war because those voices do not speak for the rest of us.

You and I know and do not believe that life is so dear or peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery. If nothing in life is worth dying for, when did this begin? Just in the face of this enemy? Or should Moses have told the children of Israel to live in slavery under the Pharoh’s? Should Christ have refused the cross?

Should the patriots at Concord Ridge have refused to fire the shot heard around the world? The martyrs of history were not fools and our beloved dead who gave their lives to stop the advance of the Nazis did not die in vain. Where then lies the road to peace? Well, it’s a simple answer after all, that you and I have the courage to tell our enemies, there is a price we will not pay and there is a point beyond which evil must not advance.”

There is a very mis-understood and mis-used ‘meme’ – for lack of a better word – out of Christianity.

    Turn the other cheek.

It is used now as an instruction to submit.

That is NOT what it means.

In the Judea of Jesus’ era, it was a capital crime to strike a Roman citizen.

To turn the other cheek, was a way of saying “Are you sure you want to do this? Because it could mean your death”

It was never meant to be an act of submission. It was meant to be a challenge. Backed up by the threat of violence.

Oh, has anyone heard from Greta Thunberg lately?

Is she still aboard that yacht mid Atlantic that was transporting her back to Europe? Maybe she is becalmed!

    @ eaglesoars:
I think this is the crux of the problem. Not enough leftist loud mouth have been slapped in the face. I used to think it was too violent to suggest. Seeing the riots though now suggest it may be the kinder more peaceful gentle America that slaps the snot out of the torchbearers of BLM.

Pre Dominantly black neighborhoods need to catch on. The BLM is an excuse for young, rich, Liberal, white kids to pursue their fantasy of burning black businesses to the ground. It’s the woke black face. Make it harder for black families and children to make money and live safely.

A couple of local Baptist churches here have BLM support signs up. They must be putting their hands over their ears when the marchers shout “No Jesus”

there was a rolling trump rally through the middle of the little town where I live, at least 40 – 50 cars.

Trump flags, gadsden flags, american flags, it was cool

Its very likely if a Biden win that the AOC group begins to slowly restrict both churches and guns. They’ll do it in a group think manner where the isolated individual can’t resist. There will be an impacthub in every city.

    @ rain of lead:
There have been many BLM support protest in my town on the traffic intersections. There was one lonely guy across the street at one of them with a back the blue sign. I was going to get him a coffee but I got in a hurry to do errands. Missed my chance.

I follow @scottadamssays and I agree it is useless to argue with the BLM people.

There was also a BLM march that stirred up the locals who went to a park armed. That freaked the police chief and the mayor out. The local media coined BLM as peaceful and the counter BLM folks as violent rednecks. No one was hurt.

    @ eaglesoars:
More then just that. A Roman citizen would use the back of their hand to strike a non-citizen because using the open palm would mean they were equals. By turning the other cheek it would cause the Roman to strike the Non-Roman as an equal. So it was many layers and levels of defiance.

thank you, will save for later, I need a nap

Since Trump insists on picking a woman, I’m looking at Margaret Ryan, Senior Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.

    Former Marine, clerked for Thomas.

I do not like Barrett. I like Lagoa but she’s too young
