Wow. I thought people were joking about Nikole Hannah-Jones deleting her entire tweet history. But apparently she really did. Not a good look. Has there been any explanation for why she and NYT aren’t being transparent about the 1619 Project?

AG Barr To Officially Designate 3 U.S. Cities As ‘Anarchist Jurisdictions,’ Report Says

Attorney General William Barr has reportedly designated three U.S. cities—all controlled by Democrats—as “anarchist jurisdictions” that are being targeted to be defunded by the federal government for failing to stop violent rioters and for defunding law enforcement departments.

The New York Post reported that Barr signed off on designating New York City, Portland, and Seattle as “anarchist jurisdictions.”

I now think Susan Collins will stay in the NO column no matter what Turtle says. And he can’t say much. Looking at the numbers, in Maine, a blue state, in order of greater-to-fewer registrants, we have Dems, Ind, Rep. She’s always won by getting the independents. If she can’t keep them, she loses the seat and a Dem WILL take it (she’s up for re-election this Nov).

So I think Turtle lets her stay in the NO column in order to keep her in the Senate. Murkowsky, however, isn’t up for another 2 years and he should be able to bitch-slap her into next month.

Her appeal is to the Eskimos and the amount of federal funding she gets for them. Turtle can make damn sure she won’t be in a position to do that for the next two years. However, I would not put it past this @(&^ to change to Democrat if the Senate flips.

At her appellate confirmation hearing, Feinstein said (of her Catholicism) “the dogma is strong in you.” In the course of a Supreme Court confirmation hearing, which will get more press coverage such a remark is NOT going to endear either DiFi or the Democrats to the Hispanic population.

I tell you, though, our political commercials in California in the runup, with the various propositions, really stick it to “the LEGISLATURE in Sacramento….” a dig at the Democrats. There’s a proposition to repeal that disastrous AB-5, which made Uber/Lyft etc. EMPLOYEES. Also they are attempting to raise property taxes – on COMMERCIAL property. This is the first step, as I predicted, to getting Proposition 13 repealed. If they can pull this off, they’ll make it a logical extension via proposition in the next election. Also they are recycling old propositions under new names after the lost the first time.

Well, she DID write something to the effect of the purpose of the legal profession is to bring the Kingdom of God.

If that’s true, I also have problems with her. Scalia was also a devout, practicing Catholic and I never heard anything like that from him.

And you’re right about Scalia. He never talked about his religion in terms of making judicial decisions – although I have no doubt he spent a few moments at Sunday Mass asking God for guidance.

“Our legal career is but a means to an end, and … that end is building the kingdom of God,” Barrett said at the time. “If you can keep in mind that your fundamental purpose in life is not to be a lawyer, but to know, love, and serve God, you truly will be a different kind of lawyer.”

And what the hell does he mean by the “end” of this election? Most of us would say either “election day” or “November 3rd.”

CDC removes guidance saying coronavirus spreads through air

“A draft version of proposed changes to these recommendations was posted in error to the agency’s official website,” the CDC said in its updated guidance Monday. “CDC is currently updating its recommendations regarding airborne transmission of SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19).”

The CDC has long maintained that the coronavirus is transmitted through droplets spread among people in close proximity to one another. On Friday, it updated its guidelines, adding that the virus also spreads through “respiratory droplets or small particles, such as those in aerosols, produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes, sings, talks, or breathes,” adding that this is the main vector of infection.

The guidance no longer says COVID-19 can be spread through the air, and the agency said it will update the language once its review process “has been completed.”

Well the thing is tiny. A girl’s phone.

Also I do not really want to be in the Apple Club but to do anything with it you have to have an Apple ID. Needs real name, address, email address, phone number and it tried really hard to convince me to give it a credit card number. Then you can download apps.

All I wanted to do was install Chrome browser. That is it.

I acknowledge that with an Android device you have to have a gmail account to access Google Play to install apps but all they ask for is a username and password and all is good.

Anyway I am annoyed that the ios version of Chrome looks nothing like the Android version and I can’t get it to sync my bookmarks with my Windows PCs.

I now see why anyone that had an Apple anything years ago continues to be an Apple customer. It is a tangled web that they weave….

This is Robert Barnes of Barnes law on Amy C. Barrett. It ain’t pretty.

THREAD: #Barrett sided with the government on almost every civil rights case, every big employer case, every criminal case, while also siding with the government on the lockdowns, on uncompensated takings, on excusing First Amendment infringements & Fourth Amendment violations.

#Barrett exclaimed the benefits of Jacobson, the decision that green-lit forced vaccines & carved out an emergency exception to Constitutional protection in “public health” or “emergency” cases used to justify forced sterilizations & detention camps. Yeah, it definitely wasn’t very honorable Honorable thing would have been to resign and then explain why.

Just a random thought. In 22 years I have had maybe five or six encounters with law enforcement officers in the United States.

Every time I was not guilty of anything.

The most pleasant encounters were with Black LEOs.

So, can we do something to Back The Black Blue?

    @ Possum:
I find the same thing. Black officers are the most courteous and professional.
