the brisket was a hit, see earlier threads for the rest of the menu.

my yuge river valley was bereft of illuminations and fireworks. nothing. it has looked, and smelled, like a war zone before. this time, nothing. not even a whiff of sulfur or half burned gun powder.

phoebe blog dog was not even bothered; she yawned an enjoyed a burnt end.

i bought the house to watch the thunderstorms roll in from 100miles away and to watch the fireworks in the valley.

nope. nothing. i’ve never seen the 4th this quiet. 25 years on this back deck.

Former Rep. Allen West launches GOP primary challenge against Texas Gov. Greg Abbott

Saying that he can no longer “sit on the sidelines,” Allen West on Sunday announced a run for Texas governor, launching a primary challenge against Republican Gov. Greg Abbott.

The outgoing Texas GOP chair – a controversial and outspoken former congressman from Florida – made his announcement in a campaign video he played during a July Fourth appearance at the Sojourn Church in Carrollton, Texas.

“There comes a time when a warrior understands that maybe he has to go back and pull out that sword,” West, who served in the Gulf War and the Iraq War before retiring from the U.S. Army as a lieutenant colonel, said in the video. “I am now drawing my sword.”

“I have not been in elective political office for about a decade. But I can no longer sit on the sidelines and see what has happened in these United States of America, what is happening in the place that I call home,” West declared.

    Satire…or is it?

Facebook To Provide Pop-Up Warning When Your Friends Begin Thinking For Themselves

Facebook has introduced a new feature that will warn you when one of your friends is sharing free and independent thoughts on its network.

Should you encounter an unapproved opinion, Facebook will provide a pop-up warning letting you know that if you’re concerned about a friend expressing opinions derived from free thought that is not in line with big tech companies, major corporations, Hollywood, universities, or the government, you can get them help.

The social media platform will allow you to take steps to report people who are sharing unapproved opinions. You may report them to Facebook, who will reach out to them to help them by forcibly sending them to a Facebook reeducation camp.

“Yes, the camp is mostly brainwashing,” Mark Zuckerberg admitted, “but the food is pretty good. They serve mac and cheese with the little cut-up hot dogs in there every Tuesday. Plus, we’ve got one of those big inflatable launcher things out on the lake, which you can use to relax and launch each other into the water. It’s a ton of fun. If we kidnap you and take you to our camp, we guarantee you’ll love hanging out there on the lake.”

“Once you finish your reeducation sessions, of course.”

Keeping the powder dry and saving the lead.

One of my juvenile pastimes was to scrap powder from small fireworks and build bigger experimental firework. My friend managed to cut his forehead open while staring too hard at a late exploding test can. I managed to build something hybrid that made me deaf for a few minutes then burnt down half of a farmers field. Nothing in the air or spectacular just created a lot of high blood pressure for the neighbors.

New Evidence Indicates Critical Race Theory Escaped From A Lab In A College Humanities Department

Scientists have discovered mounting evidence that critical race theory escaped from a lab in a college humanities department some decades ago. Originally thought to be a deranged conspiracy theory, the idea that CRT escaped from a liberal arts program is now accepted as mainstream consensus.

“While many believed the deadly CRT virus arose naturally out of centuries of systemic oppression, it now appears to have been manmade,” said Dr. Xander Willow of Hillsdale College. “It looks like some good-for-nothing liberal arts majors were messing around with some old law textbooks and experimenting with applying critical race theory to all of life. As we can see, their gain-of-racism research had terrible results.”

While researchers could not trace the virus all the way back to patient zero, scientific evidence indicates the first carrier of CRT was “almost certainly a white woman with purple hair who screamed a lot.” “Yeah, her name was probably Chloe or Claire. Or maybe Karen. It’s hard to tell based on the evidence we have, but genetics indicates this virus definitely evolved from a woman afflicted by white guilt.”

“Her actions in developing and releasing this virus on the population may prove to be deadlier than any other virus yet.”

To fight CRT, experts are recommending loving your neighbor no matter what their skin color is, seeing a person instead of a race, and reading your Bible. Also, hydroxychloroquine.

Psychedelic spurs growth of neural connections lost in depression

The psychedelic drug psilocybin, a naturally occurring compound found in some mushrooms, has been studied as a potential treatment for depression for years. But exactly how it works in the brain and how long beneficial results might last is still unclear.

In a new study, Yale researchers show that a single dose of psilocybin given to mice prompted an immediate and long-lasting increase in connections between neurons. The findings are published July 5 in the journal Neuron.

    This what antifa supports.

“Me and all the women kind of eyed each other,” and wordlessly they prevented the little girl from seeing what was going on. But the biological male saw all of the women nude, including the 6-year-old girl, and the older women. “The older Korean ladies were whispering to each other, holding their towels over themselves, as all the women started whispering to each other.” No one really knew what to do.

“I don’t like using the whole race thing,” the woman said, “but it was three white, privileged, progressive people.” She said that the three of them gave off an air of cultural imperialism.

I kid you not. had a physical today. We got to the part about stress. I talked about family relationships. The doctor brought up white supremacy to me. Yes, that specifically. Their HR had distributed a great(Doctors words) book to them on slavery and how its impacts are still immersed in every aspect of life.

We talked about confederate statutes being the tip of the iceberg.

I told the doc things have changed since I was young and its not as bad as people make it out to be. But the doctor seemed to have blinders on and couldn’t accept it.

There is an organized HR push here through the medical policy community to influence these 30 doctors in my physician group. I imagine their job depends on them adhering to the lit.

Then the nurse tried 3 times to find a vein in she couldn’t. I suppose the chart says I am full of hot air.

Vandals Burn Churches TO THE GROUND in Canada Amid ‘Truth and Reconciliation’ Report

Yet not all of the churches targeted in the recent arsons have connections to the Catholic Church or to the residential schools. On July 4, the House of Prayer Alliance Church in Calgary, Alberta, burned to the ground in a suspected arson. The church, owned by the Calgary Vietnamese Alliance, had finally reopened its doors on Sunday

After a day that saw a few dozen British casualties including 3 Argyle and Southerland Highlanders KIA the CO ordered the regiment armed to the teeth to March down the main street of Crater carrying their colours and with their pipe band. It was understood that if the Crater Police or rebels attacked the CO would not be able to control his troops and that the whole of Crater would be burned to the ground with it’s population. The identity of the Capitol Police officer who shot the MAGA rioter on camera on January 6 has remained one of the most closely guarded secrets in America.

But I know who it is.

I know his name, his age, his rank, his family status and his service record.

I know all this because DailyMail.com journalists did their job and found out, as I am sure have journalists from other news organizations.

Although I’m equally sure that many prestigious left-leaning news organizations – who ought to know better – have probably not even bothered.

Nobody has reported the information yet because there has been enormous pressure put on the media from the Capitol Police and the officer’s legal team not to do so for fear it would endanger his life.

Next, Raytheon explicitly instructs employees to oppose “equality,” defined as “treating each person the same . . . regardless of their differences,” and strive instead for “equity,” which “focuses on the equality of the outcome.”

Finally, in a collection of recommended resources, the company encourages white employees to “defund the police,” “participate in reparations,” “decolonize your bookshelf,” “join a local ‘white space.'”

Raytheon Technologies Corporation, the nation’s second-largest defense contractor, has launched an “anti-racism” program that promotes critical race theory, rejects the principle of “equality,” and instructs employees to “identify [their] privilege”—or else.

Beginning last summer, the program, called Stronger Together, encourages employees to “becom[e] an anti-racist today.” Raytheon CEO Greg Hayes supported the campaign by signing an Action for Diversity & Inclusion statement, promising to “promote diversity” and “cultivate meaningful change for our society,” then asking all Raytheon employees to sign the pledge and “check [their] own biases.”

Alright people, somebody needs to adopt Hank. Pulled this down from the Lizards in Exile FB link. Hank is in Texas

    https://pleaseadopthank.com/?fbclid=IwAR2S_LFnn8IWr1R_7TaQ2otoaT7Lm97FoLt6ojVwOhORxgS35MtGWPa9WZg

Trying to get this dog adopted has been like trying to find a Tickle-Me-Elmo during Christmas ’96. His foster mom has several other critters which are tiny. After experiencing his always-on personality, they’re JUST NOT HERE FOR IT. We’re all tired of Hank. Not because we don’t love him, we’re just TIRED. It’s like he drank ALL OF OUR COFFEE.

He needs a loving, active home with someone willing to train him. Maybe you’re into CrossFit. That kind of high energy personality is just the right kind of person that Hank would LOVE to be around.

He has so much energy, Governor Abbott called us to see if he could plug the Texas power grid into him.

    ——-

While we were parked outside the Red Bull factory, Hank flew into our passenger side and immediately helped himself to our stash of road trip snacks like a teenager raiding the fridge after school. He’s 54 pounds of pure, unadulterated, kinetic energy with eyes like the ocean.
Unfortunately, that ocean also sank the Titanic.

    ——

This asshole likes to keep you company, no matter what you’re doing.

Cooking? He’ll fucking stand in between your legs and trip you up while you’re holding knives.

    ———

Well, we’re guessing he’s a bit over a year old and our speculation as to breed will be as accurate as a dog DNA kit you get in a back alley, but we can certainly tell you he’s not an apatosaurus. I’m told he’s a Siberian Black Mouth Cur, but what the hell even is that?

Hank is in Houston TX most days when he’s not busy using his fucking energy to power his way into space to fucking destroy the Sith or something.

I’m so tired, please fucking adopt him

    uh, lobo?

Biden, Psaki To Go Door To Door On Bikes Asking If You Have A Moment To Talk About Getting Vaccinated

After falling short of his vaccination goals this month, the Biden Administration has announced a new effort to encourage people to get vaccinated. President Biden and Press Secretary Jen Psaki are now riding across the country on bicycles, going door-to-door to spread the good news.

“Excuse me, sir, do you have a moment to talk about our Lord and Savior Dr. Fauci, and the salvation of Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson?” said Psaki as a local homeowner opened his door. “We want you to know how you can be happy and secure forever. Would you like to talk a little more about this?”

According to sources, the elderly homeowner slammed the door in their faces– causing Biden to angrily ring the doorbell over and over.

“Hey! You listen here, Jack! You think I’m just gonna walk away and let you not get vaccinated?” he said. “Why, I’ll break this door down and beat you up! You think you can take me, chump?”

Psaki then quickly calmed the disgruntled Biden with a choco-choco chip ice cream cone and led him down the sidewalk to knock on the next door.

The pair will be touring the entire United States until everyone is either vaccinated or added to a secret FBI list as a possible insurrectionist.

We were arranging the sale of 7x M-107 .50 cal sniper rifles to the 1st Ranger Company of the Bruneian Armed Forces. Factoring in the cost of weapon itself, ammunition to train operators, spares and tools plus the actual training of the dozen selected operators it came to US$ 100k per weapon or US$700,000 .00 all up. All went well until Crown Prince (commonly known as #4) as he was fourth in line for the Sultanate, asked if we’d do him a favour. This after a slight problem when US authorities questioned how the Sultan of Brunei already had a 50cal in his personal armoury. It was apparently a ‘gift’ from the Sultan of Kuwait. US authorities were not very impressed as each of these rifles has a personal history and tracking system to prevent them from ‘migrating’ into ‘other hands’.

The favour that #4 asked me to do was remove the full stop from the Costing documentation making it read US$70,000,000 (seventy million dollars. It appeared that #4 had a private stash from cancelled defence appropriations that needed ‘washing’. He even offered me 10% ! I left the country shortly thereafter as my life wasn’t valued at US$7 million and I was the wrong religion as well. Seems that I am now forbidden from ever visiting Brunei again which is just fine with me!

No doubt some of that happened. I had a spiritual person explain it to me once. Drugs are like instant short term illumination with a lot of garbage thrown in from the lower desires. Religious study is a long term process where one learns to slowly be illuminated and then able to repeat it consciously.

That is for sure. 40,000 Bruneians live over the bay in pole houses and shit through a hole in their floors. Water comes from a network of cold taps between houses and people wash clothes and themselves from the water in the bay! Yuch! The oil wells are all off shore and hence the Ranger Company who protect the platforms. The Sultan flies his personal B-747 with a gold bathtub and taps 🙂
#4 built a six star hotel knocked it down early on as he changed his mind. Rebuilt another on the site then decided when it was almost finished to knock that down as well as it was too small. He finally got his hotel finished. The lobby was 6 stories tall with an internal waterfall and the pillars holding up the poor covered in gold foil.

The Sultans estate covers 300 acres and is surrounded by a 14 for steel fence with every second fence upright covered in gold foil. The caporal is covered in gold and 3000 of the Sultan’s retenue live in the palace. Security is provided by 1500 Gurkhas because the Sultan doesn’t trust his own people … understandably. The Sultan’s Chief of Security is a total gay fruit.and how he gets away with that in an Islamic kingdom is a total mystery with me.. I had a biot to do on the security side with the Security Chief. He was fine to work with but really and I mean REALLY over the top Gay!

The Saudi religious extremists were getting into Brunei when I left and there was a nasty undercurrent amongst the folks at the bottom of the heap even if the Palace provided cheap loans etc. Brunei was ‘dry’. No liquor allowed. You could drive a few Km down a track into Sarawak where you could visit .Cow-boy Town’ dronk beer and eat great food. A Brit resident of Brunei tried to smuggle whisky back into Brunei and got 3 months in a hot as hell prison for his trouble!.

I bought my booze back inside my stomach!

    🙂

The border was like something out of a B Grade movie. A rutted jungle track, a row of what looked like outdoor toilets across the road with attendant Customs another stretch of jungle track and another set of customs boxes this time with Malaysian Custom’s guys…. more jungle track and COWBOY Town made of duckboards and corrugated iron with smoke belching power generators and festoons of bulbs swinging in the breeze.

That should have read … US$ 3.5 million in green ammo not US$43.5 million. Would that that was true!

The officers running the Royal Brunei Armed Forces side of things were all corrupt as hell. All 5 of them plus their Colonel. They tried to cut out Royal Brunei Technical Services who actually had possession of the Defence funds. That caused a hold up of 6 months and some nasty words between RBTS and RBAF but we had a solid deposit in a Western bank to ensure that the manufacturer got paid. Eventually half a year later the bullets arrives via London!

The deal was that the RBAF guys would ge their bakshis just as soon as we got the follow up supply contract for the following year. The corrupt military were still funding with RBTS and then they got promoted to positions where they didn’t have access to decision making on spending.

I felt a little sorry for them and gave them a US$100,000 tone going on with and a suggestion the cut RBTS into any future deal. The dumb bastards blew the US$100,000 in Singapore on hotels, babes and booze. Idiots all.

Michigan residents who make what state officials say are false claims about the 2020 election could end up getting a visit from state troopers.

State Attorney General Dana Nessel and the Michigan State Police are going to investigate claims that some people making fraud allegations about the 2020 election are profiting from those allegations, Bridge Michigan reported Thursday.

The Republican-led Senate Oversight Committee recently issued a report saying that it did not find systemic fraud in the November election.

To me this is the strongest proof that there was widespread fraud. The harder they try to crush all talk of fraud the more likely that it was massive. If it wasn’t happening, they wouldn’t care if people were talking about it.

Another one bites the dust: Astroturf gun control group ceases operations in Ohio

An astroturf group formed in 2017 to push for a so-called “universal background check” rules for gun sales has announced that it is ceasing operations as of today.

For those looking to shift blame, the coronavirus pandemic has become a popular go-to, and it is no different for the misleadingly-named “Ohioans for Gun Safety” (the so-called “gun safety” group doesn’t even contain one single mention of safe gun handling on their website). Organizers told reporters that the current climate Ohio made it just “too difficult.”

Did A Korean Research Team Just Find The “Holy Grail” Of Water Desalinization
Could the holy grail of turning salt water to drinkable water finally be upon us?
A new report from Interesting Engineering seems to suggest that could be the case – detailing a new nanofiber membrane, developed by Yunchul Woo and his team at the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology, that appears to be “stable in the long term” for desalinization. And it can be done “in minutes”, the report says.

Membranes had been used in the past, but there is often a challenge in keeping them dry for long periods of time. When they become wet, their filtration characteristics become ineffective and large amounts of salt can pass through.

    This is interesting

Fusion GPS attorneys have been accused of violating ethics rules in the case they’re defending against Alfa Bank. What do they want to keep hidden?

    Background

In 2017, the owners of Alfa Bank (we’ll call them Alfa Bank for the purposes of this article) sued Fusion GPS and Glenn Simpson for their publication of false statements accusing Alfa Bank of “bribery, extortion, and interference in the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election.”

As a reminder, it was Fusion GPS and Glenn Simpson who, along with others, created and spread bogus Trump/Russia dossiers to government officials and the media. This was then used to justify the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance warrants on Carter Page to spy on Page those associated with President Trump.

We previously reported that Alfa Bank filed a motion to compel, asking the Court to require Fusion GPS and Glenn Simpson to produce documents withheld as privileged. These documents included communications with Glenn Simpson and others concerning the false Alfa Bank allegations.

Fusion/Simpson have fought the production of the documents, arguing that they are subject to the “attorney-client privilege” and otherwise privileged and not subject to production. We observed these are extremely weak arguments, as the dossiers were political research not subject to the protections afforded by attorney-client privilege. Alfa Bank argued the same to the Court:

    Latest Developments

Things have taken a strange turn. Today, attorneys for Plaintiffs (Alfa Bank, et. al) informed the Court that Bill Taylor, an attorney for Fusion GPS, was contacting third parties to establish back-channel lines of communication to start settlement talks.

    I’ll let them explain:

Why is a Fusion GPS attorney risking sanctions?
Fusion GPS appears desperate to settle a potentially catastrophic case.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband purchased upwards of $11 million in major tech stocks in May and June that quickly earned him over $5 million in profit — making the moves as his wife’s chamber ostensibly works to pass a series of bills reining in Big Tech.

Paul Pelosi, a venture capitalist with a net worth valued at over $100 million, exercised 40 call options to acquire 4,000 shares of Alphabet, the parent company of Google, at a $1,200 strike price, according to a financial disclosure report signed by the House speaker last Friday.

Exercising a call option allows investors to buy a stock at a later date at a pre-determined price, which that individual speculated the value would be beforehand. Pelosi’s call options for Alphabet, valued at $1,200 a share, were set to expire the day he sold them, when the company was valued at $2,500 a share.

WTF is Jordan doing? This is a major fuck up

THUMBS DOWN ON HOUSE BIG TECH REFORM: House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) and Ranking Minority Member Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) worked together to produce a package of Big Tech reforms that are likely to get a fair amount of attention in coming weeks.

But Mike Davis of the Internet Accountability Project (IAP) says the package is little more than a big win for Silicon Valley:

“The Judiciary Committee frameworks create a private right of action for Americans to vindicate their rights when Big Tech infringes upon them. Under this framework, Americans will be given ‘the chance to sue the tech giants for a[n] infringement of their free speech rights.’

“The frameworks also seek to move all antitrust enforcement authority to the DOJ thereby cutting off half the government’s resources to go after Big Tech for antitrust violations. These proposals combined effectively shift the burden and cost of enforcement onto the individual citizen and are a huge win for Big Tech.”

And on the specific issue of censorship, Davis argues that:

“The Judiciary frameworks still leave incredible amounts of discretion to the Big Tech platforms. Under this rubric, the Big Tech companies can just state in their content moderation policy that specific speech is not allowed and then they will be completely justified in taking the content down. This does nothing to protect conservatives and make sure they have a place in the digital public square.”

Archives Canada Deletes ‘Offensive’ and ‘Redundant’ Historical Biographies of Former Prime Ministers
Historical biographies of former Canadian prime ministers have been deleted from the Library and Archives Canada website because they are “offensive” or “redundant” and don’t reflect the country’s modern-day diversity and multiculturalism.

“The Prime Ministers of Canada” webpage, while still including photographs of prime ministers from John A. Macdonald in the late 1880s through to Stephen Harper in 2006, will now only yield an “error 404 – not found” search result to the biographies of the former leaders.

Yeah, might want to bookmark this one

Perhaps unsurprisingly, an organization close to top FS-ISAC members has recently been involved in laying the groundwork for that very “global financial cyber utility.”

The World Economic Forum produced the model for such a utility through its Partnership against Cybercrime (WEF-PAC) project. Not only are top individuals at FS-ISAC involved in WEF cybersecurity projects like Cyber Polygon, but FS-ISAC’s CEO was also an adviser to the WEF-Carnegie Endowment for International Peace report that warned that the global financial system was increasingly vulnerable to cyber attacks.
    .
    .
Over the Fourth of July weekend people of course were celebrating as usual, however the celebrations distracted us from but may have been Cyber Polygon’s first so-called simulated attack.
    .
    .
Obviously, the attack was not about the fourth of July — it was suspiciously carried out in order to be analyzed by The World Economic forum and their agenda of a cyber pandemic.

At least 200 companies were initially thought to be paralyzed on Friday, according to a cybersecurity researcher whose company was responding to the incident.

Later reports put that figure closer to the 1,000 mark, with a map showing the spread of the intrusion still coming into focus.

This was a Worldwide phenomenon and was blamed on Russian hackers by the FBI — so far other countries have not pointed the finger at Russia, In fact some believe that the hack came from Beijing.

Microsoft claimed in March that it had caught Chinese “state-sponsored” hackers breaking into its email servers, and cybersecurity researchers have accused the Chinese state of involvement in multiple attacks since, including one on New York’s public transportation network.

The noise level of attacks became so large we had to start buying off the shelf canned products that we could run against our whole org. that a security risk in itself.

At one time I edited a firewall and DNS rules set manually with wildcards. One could accidentally open up the whole network without knowing it or accidentally close off ATT and Comcast customers from viewing the website. Not saying that was based on actual experience.

Have a look at the Double Slit Experiment and you will understand why reacting to a photon CHANGES the photon. NOT changing a photon by looking at it has serious ramifications to out understanding about how nature really works. All of those going backwards in time when we look at them AFTER they get past the double slits and BEFORE they strike the screen could now be explained.

That Troubling Expansion of Capitol Police Gets Even Worse With Tech They Plan to Use

We previously reported on the troubling expansion of satellite offices of the Capitol Police being planned across the country.

Unlike other federal government-related police which are subject to FOIA and part of the executive branch, the Capitol Police are under the control of Congress and not subject to FOIA. So, basically you have a police force controlled by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spreading out across the country.

Not only will they be setting up across the country, starting first with offices in California and Florida, but they will have military surveillance equipment as they become “an intelligence based protective agency,” according to the Washington Times.

The Washington Times notes that a federal appeals court ruled against the use of persistent surveillance technology similar to “Gorgon Stare technology,” which they found to be unconstitutional because of the wide area of coverage allowing the tracking of hundreds at a time.

So, what’s going on here? And why is there so little coverage of this? Because whether you’re on the right or the left, this should concern both sides of the aisle.

Biden Announces Partnership With Skynet To Create Army Of Door-To-Door Vaccine Enforcement Robots

Biden has been hiring door-to-door vaccine evangelists, but as too many people would rather stay home and collect a government paycheck than work for the government and collect a government paycheck, the administration has been having trouble finding enough employees. So, the president has announced a groundbreaking deal with Cyberdyne Systems, a cutting-edge technology company run by an innovative AI system named Skynet, to create an army of vaccine enforcement robots.

“Nothing could possibly go wrong here,” Biden said. “We’ll be sending these nice young metal fellows out into your neighborhood to make sure you’re being good little boys and girls and getting vaccinated. People who don’t, well, they assure me these robot folks have ways of dealing with them.”

According to insiders, Biden had originally proposed nuking everyone who refused to get vaccinated. Aides were able to talk him down, however, pointing out that killing millions of Americans would mean millions fewer taxpayers. The robot army was reportedly a compromise. And the upside for Biden is that all of humanity will likely get nuked anyway under this plan. “A real win-win, if you ask me, Jack.”

I recall a story from the 1950s(?) that while making long-range jet test flights the planes had to refuel in a rural area, and the locals would come out to watch. Once they tanked up and were ready to go, one of the pilots would set a newspaper on fire and toss it in the rear exhaust as an “igniter” before they started the engines. The locals loved it.
