Blogmocracy Radio 03 October 2012 – The Breitbart Interview

From The Ruse and Fail of LGF – Prologue:

In September 2011, there was some behind the scenes discussion about dumping all the LGF Archives. So much valuable work was about to be given away and thrown into the communal dumpster. I hated the thought, and wondered “Who despises Charles Johnson so much that he might be willing to pay for the Archive?” Twitterwars were in full swing, and the obvious answer was Andrew Breitbart.

So I emailed him.  We talked over the phone a bit about the work of The Boiler Room Crew, and just before the conversation ended I asked him if he’d be interested in calling into our podcast, not expecting him to do so. He replied “Sure. When is it?”

What a jaw dropper.

The day of the podcast,  03 October 2011, was nerve-wracking as we couldn’t tell anyone who the mystery guest was (to prevent a troll storm) and we weren’t sure if he would call in at all. We had an hour to go and hadn’t heard anything, so I emailed him to see if he was still interested. His response was two words: “I’m in.”

The audio above is that interview. Rodan & Savage did a great job keeping their composure while speaking to The Happy Warrior.

Five months later he was gone.

R.I.P. Andrew Breitbart (1968-2012)

    @ coldwarrior:
The whole operation was a lot of fun working with such a talented group. I did little more than introduce them to each other and open the door to the cage.

    Best memory:
The look on the missus’ face as she handed me the phone and said,
“It’s Andrew Breitbart! And he wants to talk to BUNK!” 😀

that, right there, is worth the effort.

Our landline was out and I didn’t have a cell phone so he called the missus on hers. She had no idea what we were doing.

    London Metals Exchange

LME Halts Trading After Nickel Prices See Record Run

The London Metals Exchange (LME) said it was forced to cancel all nickel trades on March 8, after the contract spiked as much as 111 percent to more than $100,000 per tonne, before trading was halted.

The LME said the halt was due to the conflict Ukraine as well as the low-stock environment and high pricing volatility, and that the “current events are unprecedented,” adding that it was working to ensure the orderly functioning of the market.

“The suspension of the nickel market has created a number of issues for market participants which need to be addressed,” it said.

Trading on the Shanghai Futures Exchange was also halted on March 9, according to a report from Bloomberg.

Industrial buyers have been scrambling for the metal crucial for their products, causing the market to panic.

President Joe Biden signed an executive order on Wednesday, in the works for months now, to launch a crossagency federal government effort to regulate cryptocurrency. For context, cryptocurrency is decentralized, digital, nongovernmental money — Bitcoin is the most famous type of crypto.
    .
    .
It may well be that the federal government wants to stifle the growth of cryptocurrency before it gets even more widely adopted and influential.

    Why?

Well, the fundamental value proposition of Bitcoin, for example, is that it is beyond the government’s control. This isn’t the case with the U.S. dollar, which the federal government can print and inflate. In many ways, the government controls the dollar and who can use it. But no government, or any central entity, can control or inflate Bitcoin.

Bitcoin’s independence is due to its decentralization and complicated blockchain technology. Understanding the nuances of that technology isn’t important for those outside the industry, but it’s just important to know that, when properly stored, Bitcoin is non-confiscatable.

In other words, the government can’t seize it or take it away from you. It can’t ban “problematic” people from Bitcoin. It can’t seize your assets if they are held in Bitcoin. (Held properly !)

It looks like Obama got funding for a Ukrainian bio lab in 2005

The unearthed article also confirms a previous National Pulse report revealing how former President Barack Obama spearheaded negotiations leading to the lab eventually receiving U.S. government funds as part of a memorandum of understanding with the U.S. Department of Defense.

“The agreement, the result of more than a year of negotiations, was announced by Sens. Richard G. Lugar (R-Ind.) and Barack Obama (D-Ill.) during a visit to the Ukrainian capital, Kiev,” notes The Washington Post.

Facebook, Instagram to allow calls for violence against Russians temporarily: report

Facebook and Instagram will temporarily allow users in some countries to call for violence against Russians and Russian soldiers within the context of the war in Ukraine, Reuters reported Thursday, a substantial shift to their rules on hate speech and violence and incitement.

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, will also temporarily allow some posts that call for death to Russian President Vladimir Putin or Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in Russia, Ukraine and Poland, Reuters reported, citing internal emails detailing the change.

The calls for death will not be allowed if they contain other targets or if they have two indicators of credible threats, such as the location or method, according to Reuters.

Not going to do any Google things, this is kind of from memory.

I sort of remember there is a tax on petrol in the UK and probably gas in the USA that goes towards road repair etc.

That seems a very fair tax to me. The more you drive on roads and over bridges the more you pay for their upkeep.

I have a sneeky feeling their is no such tax on electricity used to charge an electric vehicle.

    That’s one possibility.

Another is that people are just hunkering down because even with the increase in the value of the homes they own, they can’t trade up. Another is there is a lot of new build going on – mostly condos – and people are bitching about it because ‘traffic’ which I understand. But they haven’t come on-market yet.

I do know that if we had waited to buy until we were ready to move we NEVER could have afforded this house, it’s already up $90k. We were breathtakingly lucky and I have to give credit for that to our financial advisors in Virginia who said NO DON’T WAIT. Buy now, here’s the money, we’ll get it back when you sell your Virginia property.

There are diesel cars in the UK.

I grew up on a farm. There was a diesel tank on that farm which was used to re-fuel tractors and combine harvesters and was also used for fuel for the heaters of grain dryers. That was filled with red diesel by a fuel tanker. No road tax on that fuel.

Farm also had land rovers which ran on diesel but had to be fueled from a regular gas station as they were road vehicles.

Heaps of Diesels in NZ both cars and almost all heavy trucks. Diesel is colorless in NZ but if you use it to drive on roads you have to keep your Diesel Users card up to date. You pay about every 3 months instead of paying at the pump like those vehicles using Petroleum (gas).

That was farmers using diesel plant (almost 100%) and those using diesel to power boats pay nothing. Currently diesel is only about 60% the cost of gas at the pump. As far as gas powered boats you either pay at the pump and then claw it back after the use. Boats refueled at wharves get both diesel and gas less the road taxes.

I was issued overnight orders to England in 1977, the OSI decided I needed to get out of the USA for a couple of years. The only thing that I had to get used to was making right turns. I had a natural tendency to head for the right lane, fortunately it only lasted a few days. I don’t recall having any issues after that. I did bounce between right and left hand drive vehicles fairly often though. I spent a bunch of time in Brussels, courtesy of my cousin’s (by marriage) family, they sent me round trip airplane tickets (Sabena) any time I had a few days off or wanted to burn some of my accumulated leave.

My cousin Archie taught me to shift the gears in his street racer, by the sound of the engine revolutions, when I was 9 or 10 years old. To kick up the odds, my shifting the gears was part of the bet. While I was in England some of my friends said I needed to meet the other Cajun guy on base. Turned out he knew Archie and remembered me because he was designated to sit in the back seat, to make sure I was really doing the shifting, during a few races.

    HEH!

Sometimes irony is just too delicious for words.

The Otago Daily Times recently reported that the National Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Otago has been exposed as having a culture described as “toxic”, “paralysing”, “isolating” and “divisive”.

Those words come from a confidential 31-page report leaked to the ODT, which said the centre is known on campus as the “conflict and conflict” centre. The report described the centre as dysfunctional, with “deeply entrenched conflicts”. Perhaps they could use themselves as a case study.

It’s a story that falls squarely into the “you couldn’t make this up” category, but which seems, for reasons that I couldn’t speculate on, to have been ignored by the wider New Zealand media.

    This is hilarious.

President Joe Biden complained Friday he was “sick” of Americans blaming him for inflation instead of the coronavirus pandemic or Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I’m sick of this stuff… The American people think the reason for inflation is the government spending more money,” Biden said angrily. “Simply. Not. True.”

The President made his remarks at a Democrat policy retreat to Democrats in Philadelphia in a rambling speech about issues facing his presidency.

“Democrats didn’t cause this problem. Vladimir Putin did,” Biden said, pointing to the latest inflation reports.

The President is suffering from terrible ratings on the economy due to his failure to address inflation.

My parents sold their retirement home in 1997 in central Oregon for $215k. Current value on realtor.com is $912k, and Zillow prices it over a million, with a $54,000 increase in the last month.

We paid about 190 here in late 2018. Realtor has it at 249, Zillow show 282 with a 6k increase in 30 days.

… and yet I can actually remember when the US swore that it had destroyed ALL of its stocks of Bio-weapons, except for a small number of reference vials held under strict security at Ft Detrick. Now we find that everyone involved lied, and have continued lying for decades.

I wouldn’t trust a politician or public servant as far as I could kick one!

With a population that are 95.3% two shots ‘vaccinated’ and just over 70% three shots ‘vaccinated’ be aware of mixing percentages as that leads down statistical ‘no exit lanes’. Beware also sites with agendas, even, and especially ones with well meaning agendas. There is currently no public information on AIDS rates available in NZ except the nominal background rates and they number a little over 100, out of 5 million. You may very well be correct and 95% of Kiwis will eventually end up with AIDS related diseases that will carry them away. Hopefully before that happens the NZ public will have a chance of watching the establishment medicos and health professionals plus politicians being hanged drawn and quartered in the public square.

Hackers have stolen data from Nvidia, the world’s largest GPU maker, and are holding that data ransom. The as-yet unidentified “threat actors” may be helping the company’s competition in China, according to a research group in Washington D.C.

Last week, Nvidia lost proprietary information to a group of hackers. A cybercriminal gang called “Lapsus$” has leaked Nvidia passwords, schematics, drivers and firmware and is threatening to release more information unless its demands are met, according to press reports. Those demands include removing cryptocurrency mining limiters on its gaming cards and making its GPU drivers open source, according to ArsTechnica.

There is a lot of statistical mumbo jumbo going on where professionals who actually DO KNOW BETTER are doing it anyway for ideological reasons. They figure that 90% of the general public have zero clues about stats and don’t care to know. What they do not understand such lack of knowledge places them in a position where they are easily manipulated by planned dodgy data.

I rented a house with a very liberal ex-Navy draftee in The Heights, that had a storefront added on, he lived in the storefront, I lived in the house, we shared the bath and kitchen. He was ten years older and a self described hippie. After a few years, he met a sweet widow who the doctors had told she would never have children. They got pregnant and she had a beautiful miracle baby girl they named Samantha. He had a daughter from a previous marriage who was in a lesbian relationship, he joked about his “son in-law” on a regular basis. When Sam was 3 or 4 years old they (the docile daughter and the “son in-law’) broke up, but being good progressives the “son in-law” was still family. The “son in-law” latched on to Samantha and a couple a years ago Samantha announced her name was now Samuel.

I’m guessing the Robin Williams/ Nathan Lane one from 1996. It was a genius comedy. About a gay couple who’s son is getting married to a daughter of a conservative couple so Nathan Lane crossdresses and they pretend to be a normal hetero couple. Really damn funny.

The Barry Humpheries’ comedic characters of Dame Edna Everage and Sir Les Patterson of the Court of St. James, were never course. They were comedic master classes by a consummate performer. Alas the mirror of reality is not funny in the least. Sad definitely, agenda driven, very often, in these rather degenerate days. Reality, both biological and lifestyle driven, is thrust down the public’s craw, for reasons that range from misunderstood to seriously wicked. When a reported 40% of these real time trans individuals seek suicide as a way to ‘slay their demons’, it’s not a wise lifestyle choice. If biologically induced behaviors can be mitigated to seek relief from the pathologies then so much the better for individuals who freely choose relief.

The real life examples certainly have nothing to do with the comedic art that is Barry Humpheries.

DENVER – Dozens of homeowners in Denver’s Green Valley Ranch neighborhood are facing foreclosure due to homeowners association (HOA)-related fines and fees.

“What we learned was that of the 119 HOA foreclosures that happened in 2021, 50 were from one HOA that is located in Green Valley Ranch and that’s a pretty disproportionate share of those here in Denver,” said Britta Fishers, the director of Denver’s Department of Housing Stability.

City records show the HOA responsible for the most HOA foreclosures is Master Homeowners Association for Green Valley Ranch.
    .
    .
They were issuing a lot of fines for anything… the grass, leaving the trash can out, a lot of fines, $50 or $100. They went all the way up to $8,000. The last time I checked, it was $10,000 in fines,” Villela said

good japanese ramen noodles are always on hand. these arent the individual stuff with the pouches of flavoring, although, there are some that are very good.

any stock can be used to make ramen. that time i happened to have duck stock from a couple ducks i smoked. then you build the soup from that, flavor the stock with spices and herbs and onion or shalot and garlic be creative, add some meat and some vege like a few broccoli or pea pods. whatever.

i have japanese spices, miso, sea weed on hand as well depending on how authentic i want to be.

add a boiled egg cut in half or fried egg on top and hey!

    its ramen!

I’ve been quite surprised by how Fox has gotten fully on board the Ukraine bandwagon. On the surface, it’s easy to see, despite what was happening in Ukraine, it was a sovereign country and was forcefully invaded by a neighboring state, just like in the old days of conquest and dominion. On the other hand, there don’t seem to be a lot of questions regarding the corruption in Ukraine. Have heard some of the commentators like Hannity and I think Tucker making statements to that effect though, so there is some questioning of Ukraine’s support for internal corruption and supporting our corrupt leaders.

The missives our church body has received from their counterparts in Ukraine specifically stated that the Russians are deliberately targeting and shelling residential areas. They also stated that many of the Russian soldiers appear to be poorly trained and are deliberately targeting and killing civilians. I am generally skeptical of anecdotal reports, however, the sources for these reports are reliable based upon the relationship between the two church bodies.

did not put them in uniform

they did not put them in uniform quite on purpose. so they could be dead fodder for propaganda. its a brilliant ploy learned from plais v israel. i would not put it past the ukies to be firing artillery and such from apartment blocks, its a tried and true tactic to make propaganda.

like i said, i am agnostic about these reports, not surprised tho, given the arming of civies and seeing how effective the palis use this against israel.

a battlefield ‘trial’ for being a non-uniformed combatant is pretty damned quick. its by decree more or less.

are your church reports true, they very well might be. i just am looking at them through the lense of propaganda. and BOTH sides are so full of it that i pretty much believe nothing coming out of the action.

Sad to see that happen. Zelensky needs to seek peace. No reason for all these Ukrainians and Russians to get killed. The propaganda and appeals for a no fly zone without a concern for WW3 make me not trust Zelensky. His image through the western media is all hot air. We should have learned via their Trump coverage and their Biden coverage.

I’ve been following a mix of Ukrainian and Russia social media. Twitter banned the two most popular Russian follows this last week. People presenting maps showing Russian progress in the war.

Started following CCP fans also to see what the other side is like. They say the global south is 70 percent of the world pop and none of them support NATO. They include New Zealand. Lots of meme jokes about Biden. Strong support from Africa and the Middle East as the United States being the indiscriminate bomber and child killer.

If the Russian invaded the US there is no way I would surrender. I would rather die in a fight. But I would be willing to call for peace if they took Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Portland as war booty.

Clinton bombed the Chinese Embassy. At the time I took the strike as accidental as reported but still worried about a Chinese response.

Today with hindsight of these neo con type hawks I am no longer so sure that it was not intentional.

That afghan withdrawal and Miley wokeness has made me cynical about the leadership in the US Military. I still hear 4 star retirees who worked in NATO being interviewed and spouting what seem to be obvious lies.

Wesley Clark is awful. Petraeus is sketchy. I would suspect Mattis is corrupted as well. We can’t get an honest, practical, solid, common sense policy out of these failed leaders.

Puts me within 4 years of natural causes. I measure my longevity by celebrities I liked. And my high school class size. Over 50 percent of them have passed on.

But RIP to him and his family that grieves for his passing. I like the Buddhist tradition where prayers from loved ones help the person along on the wheel of life.

At my age I just want the kids to do well.

I’m getting kicked off the gate.io crypto exchange. They signed me up no problem. But yesterday they told me no United States residents can hold crypto there. I have until April 10th to move it or lose it.

A complex process to move the funds into the Trust Wallet. There was an 8 percent fee up front to buy crypto there, and there is a 4-50 percent fee to move the funds out of gate.io. So the $100 investment has the potential to be $25 once it is moved. Probably be more like $60 if I time the transaction correctly. What kills it are the ETH gas fees. That is where ethereum based administrators and miners get a mafia like taste of your funds.

There is a certain day of the week when they put all their meat that’s at the SELL BY date at a reduced price. She picks up $200 of meat for $50. She gets there at the open time and like me, vacuum seals and freezes everything. Might be worth checking out other categories too, like bread products. He interviews Putin several times. He lays out the color revolutions which oddly reverberate with Jan 6. There is a Ray Epps character in Ukraine.

Victoria Nuland is everywhere. As is Soros money. The Ukraine problems seems to be fundamentally caused by Bush era Neo Cons desiring to encroach into Russia and Obama era society destructors trying to burn down and rebuild cultures. When I was in government I worked for some soros trained political middlemen. And women. They used a different language when talking about government. I had one guy talk to me about how his project would disrupt the city. I said that is not good. He said that is great. He won. He had the political support.

he was very fond of his Soros memories. And he worked hard to get his Soros friends into the local government. It was pre 9/11 so they have been at it for decades.

later on we partnered with these sunshine groups for open government. Same people running them. These had an open records benefit but were also used to skate by some of the laws in government. By letting an NGO or a private firm do part of the government work.

Oracle is a small example that evolved into being woke. Its used to run most local government HR departments. It’s expensive and once they get their licensing hooks into you then you become dependent on them. MSSQL is the competitor but it always had a lack of robustness in processing many HR records. The peoplesoft software that ran on oracle starting producing canned wokeness that had to be complied with to make things work.

Most local government i interacted with could be defined by databases.
    1. informix for elections.
    2. oracle for payroll and hr.
    3. MSSql for everything else. O365 and outlook for desktops.
