well in the 60’s we would get plant breakdowns due to Union action. I wouldn’t be surprised if Biden via the DOJ via the FBI are stimulating arson on food sources as a means to control and be seen as a savior. It’s an old political philosophy i believe. The new progs want to want groups like BLM, CRT, and food sourcing to stress the country nationally. While remaining comfortable themselves and asserting plausible deniability.

I don’t understand all of it. But Biden’s catastrophe in Afghanistan, active acceptance of BLM,CRT, and Trans had made other countries and their citizens lose confidence in the US. Then the Russia sanction made them sit up and realize they need to go a different way.

I understood that as being wheat. A value is attached to a nations grain stores and futures. 1 bushel of wheat equals 1000 rubles equals 10000 ren. No dollars involved. I’m not sure about gold. OR natural gas. And hostile nations pay in rubles. The dollar gets weaker.

Lobo: I just signed up for StarLink. Should have signed up earlier in the year when there were openings. I’m now being told that my area is full and availability will be 2023 or later. It will cost the equipment charge which is not trivial, but the monthly service charge is $10.01 per month more for 20 times the download speed and 2x the upload speed. Totally worth it. If I ever get it. But if I don’t get in line now, the line will just get longer.

If Russian exports are denominated in Commodity backed Roubles then there will be a drift towards the Rouble and its value will increase. This is a double edged sword as it makes Russian exports more expensive and imports cheaper. Still if Russia has loads of commodities then it can stand a wee bit of export driven inflation.

    🙂

The likes of zero hard commodity economies like Singapore and even Japan will have to translate their services, skills and IP to back their money supply

I’m having a hard time believing that the Brandon administration did this on purpose. The use of the US Dollar as the standard reserve currency is what has given them the ability to spend the outrageous amounts on frivolous nonsense that they have been spending. I don’t think anyone in the cabal had the foresight or thought things through when they came up with the Russian sanctions regarding potential side effects or possible ramifications. Nobody bothered to war game out all of the possible outcomes or weren’t smart enough to recognize that showing the control we have of the SWIFT system for arbitrary purposes would potentially lead to other countries stepping away from the dollar. This totally screws the cabal. Even if they are trying to destroy the US as founded, they needed the ability to manipulate the currency to achieve their ends.

Unless they believe they have finally achieved their goals and the only thing they needed to do was light the final match to burn it all down. That then makes their choice of Biden as the puppet for their governance make sense. He is totally disposable, and if he gets taken out because of the chaos the cabal has caused, that’s great symbolism for the cabal, he is a completely expendable asset.

One of the fatal errors made by the macroeconomic establishment is about inflation. The proper definition is that inflation is the debasement of a currency by increasing its quantity. It is not about an increase in the general level of prices, which is what the economic establishment would have us believe. The reason this is particularly relevant is because governments through their central banks have come to rely on increases in the quantity of currency and credit to supplement taxes, allowing governments to spend more than they receive in terms of revenue. To properly describe inflation draws unwelcome attention to the facts.

Typical Galbraith- Keynesian fairy tales that have been blowing smoke up our collective arses for 80 years. Hayek actually knew a thing or two but the swamp couldn’t be convinced as huge $$$$ were there for the getting.

Or Aussie dollars based on a basket of critical raw materials and know-how (AKA…IP). The market decided the value of the currency. One can then use that currency to purchase whatever one needs in the marketplace. Crypto is based on algorithms that are worth security of data. That is a commodity in itself. When speculation drives a commodity away from its base value is when you start getting into trouble. Think of Crypto as solidified electricity and IT smarts.

Nation States with lots of valuable commodities will end up with currencies in demand. Dirt poor nations with loads of dust, not so much. Vapour commodities like Singaporean Geographic position and shipping servicing, crude oil refining and organizational and logistics smarts can make their own vapour commodities. Dumb as a bag of rocks nations … not so much

Islamic finance is a type of financing activity that must comply with Sharia (Islamic Law). The concept can also refer to the investments that are permissible under Sharia.

The main difference between conventional finance and Islamic finance is that some of the practices and principles that are used in conventional finance are strictly prohibited under Sharia laws.

    1. Paying or charging an interest
is usury (riba), which is strictly prohibited.
    2. Investing in businesses involved in prohibited haram activities are forbidden. No brewery investments or pork farms! 🙂
    3. Speculation (maisir)
Sharia strictly prohibits any form of speculation or gambling, which is called maisir. Thus, no contracts involving future risk.
    4. Uncertainty and risk (gharar)
No contracts with excessive risk and/or uncertainty. So no short sell allowed!
Material finality of the transaction: Each transaction must be related to a real underlying economic transaction.
Profit/loss and the sharing of risk between borrower and lender. No one can benefit from the transaction more than the other party.

    Hope that helps Eagles

Far out, Man: Washington State Declares Term ‘Marijuana’ ‘Racist,’ Strikes It From State Law

As reported by KIRO-7 in Seattle, Washington Democrat state Rep. Melanie Morgan, who sponsored the bill, argued that “the term ‘marijuana’ itself is pejorative and racist.” Sure it is. Before long, the list of terms not racist will be exceeded by the number of terms that are racist by a left-wing country mile.

So why “marijuana”? Ready to connect some ridiculous dots? Here we go.

Morgan discussed the term’s history, which originates from Spanish. “As recreational marijuana use became more popular,” she said, “it was negatively associated with Mexican immigrants.” She declared “marijuana” therefore is “racist terminology” that was used “to lock up black and brown people.”

“This is just another layer, of peeling off the systemic racism that’s built in our system,” Morgan said. And there it is, ladies and gentlemen: pretend “systemic racism.”

“Even though it seems simple because it’s just one word,” Morgan said, “the reality is, we’re healing the wrongs that were committed against Black and Brown people around cannabis.”

107 years ago there was just a singly Turkish company guarding the beach when the ANZACs landed at the wrong beach due to the currant. The Brit generals forbad the ANZACs from moving to take the high ground and gave the 20,000 Turks a chance to get back into their positions. The rest as they say is history.Only in 1918 France did Australian General John Monash (a Jew actually) take command for the whole Corps and the ANZACs with an inexperienced US Division under command (although Pershing hated it), swept the Germans from the Left coastal flank Broke through and began true mobile All Arms Battle, with integrated artillery, air armour and supporting infantry. Sweeping the right German flanking divisions aside Germans sued for peace. The ANZAC Corps should have been given its head 4 years earlier, flanked the Germans, won, and gone home.

The US weren’t there at Gallipoli at the beginning but they finally made it at the end and the ANZACs with 4 years of hard and bloody fighting behind them took the green US division under it’s wing and they fought and won together. Since that time 104 years ago the ANZACs and Yanks have fought their enemies together.

The richest lithium deposit in the world is in Maine of all places

But under Maine’s recently enacted mining laws, it’s unclear whether it will ever be extracted.

“We know that the Maine mining laws are such that there’s not one single active mine in Maine,” said Mary Freeman, who owns the land with her husband, Gary, a co-author on the paper describing the find.

“We’d have to get clarification from the state,” said Freeman, when asked whether the couple planned to apply for a mining permit. “They don’t have an area of the rule that explains this kind of work.”

Maine’s metallic mining law was designed to protect the state’s natural resources and keep its water clean. But the state, and its residents, will also need lithium-ion batteries to store energy from wind and solar panels, and run electric vehicles.

That is the history of Rome. I have no doubt that there are Soros type disruptors embedded in the Biden government. And they want to make their bones by subverting normal society. Food panic. Kid Panic. Both vectors they like to attack. the woke virus is more deadly than covid. Incandescent light bulbs being phased out to save energy

The Biden administration is scrapping old-fashioned incandescent light bulbs, speeding an ongoing trend toward more efficient lighting that officials say will save households, schools and businesses billions of dollars a year.

Rules finalized by the Energy Department will require manufacturers to sell energy-efficient light bulbs, accelerating a longtime industry practice to use compact fluorescent and LED bulbs that last 25 to 50 times longer than incandescent bulbs. The Trump administration had slowed an earlier phaseout of incandescents, saying it was targeting rules that burden businesses.

I don’t know WHAT the hell is going on in your neck of the woods re staffing. CW and my BFF who has been in nursing since she was 19 (51 years and still at it) could rain fire about what’s going on here.

What I’ve noticed that has changed during the pandemic is a callus disregard for patient care. Patients aren’t people anymore. They’re ‘units of measurement’ that are evaluated according to whatever metric the hospital system is going to incentivize or minimize. And the ‘racial equity’ bullshit some of these med professionals are trying to impose. Triage now includes racial reparations for supposedly past injustices. A black woman with a broken bone will take priority over a white male with an auto accident head injury. And doctors have seemingly disappeared unless they’re required to sign off on something.

I’m seeing in the UK suspicions that elderly were murdered using a drug similar to valium (while families were not allowed to visit) and marked as covid deaths. Easier on an over-worked staff, clear the bed, NEXT!

I’ve seen one case about that in the US – a teenage girl, the family put up a billboard. But I’ve had a really busy day and it didn’t sink in until I was about 30 minutes after my ‘scan’

He is jst in the Public system and they are just overwhelmed and it shows. Still it costs nothing to be clear about what they plan and the schedule. Information is in short supply and those who don’t complain go to the end of the line. This drain BS is a case in point. It should have been fixed when a drain became disconnected accidentally. It should have been reconnected immediately. What happened was yet another long public holiday weekend and another very painful delay after two previous Easter delays.

    Alito gets it

Some areas of Maine are so thinly populated that towns can’t afford public high schools. Instead, the state of Maine offers tuition assistance for families in these rural areas to send their children to the private schools of their choice. The hitch is, state law says they must choose a secular school, not a religious one. Parents sued, challenging the religious school exclusion.

If schools that teach religion are ineligible for state money, Alito asked, are schools that teach critical race theory also ineligible? The lawyer for Maine’s school system stammered and confessed he didn’t know.

This is a thing in the woodworking world, particularly for those who make charcuterie boards and trays. The effects are quite stunning; the process quite dangerous. I have my MSEE and wouldn’t touch this with a barge pole, especially not with garage-shop equipment and home-made protective equipment.

When lasers were just getting going I decided to build a very large N2 laser I saw in scientific American. Saved up gold caddying $$$ and purchased a neon sign transformer, a large sheet of two sided circuit board sone perspex sheet and a coil of copper wire. Some fool gave me an old vacuum pump and voila my N2 laser. The spark gap was a piece of bent copper strap and a large bolt and the channel inside the perspex (plexiglass) tube was brass sheet. It worked… but even I knew not to stand anywhere near it as it made a hell of a racket and totally screwed all TV reception in the street!

That when I was not mixing my own solid fuel rocket grain from tar ‘borrowed’ from the street and Potassium perchlorate. Somehow I managed to keep all of my digits and didn’t fry myself with my ‘scientific’ endeavours.

How to lose black voters AND create a black market – yeah, there’s a pun in there

FDA Proposes Rules Prohibiting Menthol Cigarettes and Flavored Cigars to Prevent Youth Initiation, Significantly Reduce Tobacco-Related Disease and Death

Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is announcing proposed product standards to prohibit menthol as a characterizing flavor in cigarettes and prohibit all characterizing flavors (other than tobacco) in cigars. These actions have the potential to significantly reduce disease and death from combusted tobacco product use, the leading cause of preventable death in the U.S., by reducing youth experimentation and addiction, and increasing the number of smokers that quit.

    Amex

The company has adopted an “Anti-Racism Initiative” designed to have “privileged” employees defer to “marginalized groups.” In training sessions, white employees were told to “identify the privileges or advantages you have.” Amex brought in Khalil Muhammad, who told Amex employees during training sessions that they should charge black customers lower premiums than white customers.

Multiple Amex employees have also alleged that the company has engaged in “reverse discrimination” and consistently wouldn’t promote white employees because they weren’t minorities. One employee was even told by a supervisor, “It would be advantageous and important for me to note that I am a minority when I apply for internal promotions.”

CEO Stephen Squeri has been behind many of these initiatives, launching a 2020 effort that includes spending $1 billion to promote “Racial, Ethnic and Gender Equity.” Squeri has also spoken against climate change and participated in the corporate pile-on against Georgia’s election integrity legislation. Amex’s very public progressive agenda belies a pattern of corporate misconduct records indicate.

Multiple federal agencies, including the Federal Reserve, the Treasury Department, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, have investigated Amex for certain sales practices, including issuing phantom credit cards. Additionally, Amex had to pay $112 million in fines because it deceptively strong-armed its customers into paying illegal late fees.

In a repudiation of Amex’s supposed commitment to diversity, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau found that Amex discriminated “against consumers in Puerto Rico and the U.S. territories by providing them with less-favorable financial products and services.” Amex was forced to pay these customers $96 million.

The FBI and the OKC bombing? Nothing surprises me anymore

    Operation PATCON

As most know, the FBI and other law enforcement agencies have conducted surveillance and infiltration operations against right-wing groups for decades. Chief among them being the “Patriotic Conspiracy” or “PATCON” operation. Despite its official ending in late 1993 (although some say it was carried forward in some form), PATCON only became public in 2007 thanks to a public records request.

Partly citing internal FBI documents, Painting in her explosive 2016 book about PATCON and McVeigh, describes how the former’s secret operatives and paid informers “were given license to engage in provocateur activities and instructed to make known their willingness to commit violence and advocate for the violent overthrow of the U.S. government.”1 She quotes one informer who went public about the operation, John Matthews, saying he realized that although initially told “the objective was to infiltrate and monitor,” he would later come to understand that its real objective was to “to infiltrate and incite.”2 This, says Matthews, included providing “the ideas, detailed instructions, and even live C4 explosives and automatic weapons to targeted individuals as a way of entrapping them into terrorist plots, so the FBI could capitalize on foiled and actualized plots.”3 According to Trentadue, through PATCON, the FBI was actually trying to sow a full-on rebellion.

This has been the boogeyman of the left for years. It’s also patently a lie. It’s their camel nose in the tent to large scale banning and taxation of tobacco. The dem administration in my state made the rules so convoluted that the DJARUM company completely blacklisted Montana from being allowed to sell their products. And it’s all based on the lie that kids are rushing out to buy “flavored” tobacco products. All the sensible protections are already in place, age restrictions and id verification. You don’t need large scale bans and other bullshit like they are trying. The game is to take these out of the hands of adults not children. They already did it in MT it took years to partially reverse some of it and we still haven’t managed to undo all of the damage the dems did.

You pay a monthly subscription of $15 to have access to a crypto coin. That access gives you the right to build a node for a $30,000 fee. The node has to grow for a year and then it starts to generate more of the coins.

several of the original coin owners hawking that they have 8 nodes and are pulling in $100,000 a year on their node farming. Then they sell their nodes and coins to the noobie crypto buyers.

I asked one of them what the actual product behind the coin was and he said the it was the $15 a month subscription fee and some cute NFT’s that would change the crypto world.

NFT’s as of today have no real value. They may someday, I called it a ponzi scheme to him and he got pretty aggressive. Trying to intimidate me to not talk about his coin. There are tons of these rugpull operations in cyrptoland,

    @ Deplorable Martian Overlord:

Because banning the leaf of a plant that can be grown by motivated people has been so successful for the past 60 years. /s

… and the same leftists wanting to ban tobacco are all in for full-scale legalization of another burnt inhaled product, one that just rots the mind instead of the body.

There is one someone tried to get me to do.

A US government watchdog is warning that the Pentagon may have wasted more than $22 billion on Microsoft’s HoloLens by failing to ask if the soldiers who would be theoretically responsible for deploying the hardware actually wanted to use it or perceived any benefit from doing so. This is an observation so banal, one might wonder why the government needed to put it in an audit in the first place. This isn’t the first time, however, that we’ve heard rumors about soldiers not liking HoloLens — or IVAS, as the combat variant is known.

Oh this is gonna be great. Don Winslow is one of the best writers I’ve ever found. But I stopped getting his books because he went off the rails about Trump. And I mean OFF. THE. RAILS. Now hear this.

Author Don Winslow Announces Retirement From Book Writing To Focus On Political Videos

Bestselling author Don Winslow has announced that the two already-written sequels to his current novel City On Fire will be his last books.

Winslow says he will devote his time to launching digital campaigns supporting Democratic causes and opposing “Trumpism.”

“It’s time to do something else,” Winslow said in a statement. “I want to continue on speaking out where I see what I think is wrong. It’s a big deal. It’s not a decision I made easily. Democrats have better ideas, better candidates, and a better vision for tomorrow. What they don’t have is better messaging and I’m going to try and change that. I will be paying for everything myself and not accepting any donations.”

    https://deadline.com/2022/04/don-winslow-retirement-political-videos-city-on-fire-1235009247/

Messaging? The DHS’ Ministry of Truth is right with ya bro’.

What fascinates me is that in his books, his analysis of the cultural milieu of, say, the cartels, is beautifully forensic. But when it comes to his own culture, his mental scape behaves as tho it’s being electrocuted and he has these massive emotional seizures. The entertainment value of this guy is endless. But keep an eye on him. It wouldn’t surprise me if he becomes one of the Left’s most valuable ‘influencers’ and it would be a mistake to underestimate him.

I never heard of the Asch experiment, but here ya go……

We have just gone through a nationwide, and actually a worldwide, Asch Conformity Experiment. As implied, the goal of the experiment was not to get to the truth. It was to get conformity. Only conformity is allowed.

Asch showed that people will actually believe things that they know to be false if they think everybody else believes those things. That is the point of the COVID nightmare experiment we just lived though. You must believe:

    .
    .
However, no dissent can be allowed because the Asch Conformity Experiment showed that if one person stands up to the narrative, it is easier for the second one to dissent. Then another and another stand up, and then control is lost.

That is why every dissenting voice must be silenced. If one person cries, “The Emperor has no clothes,” people will see the naked truth. And that can’t be allowed.

    https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2022/04/this_scary_experiment_explains_two_years_of_covid_hell.html

So, courage is contagious. And, I gather, so is cowardice

‘What I’ve Seen in the Last 2 Years Is Unprecedented’: Physician on COVID Vaccine Side Effects on Pregnant Women

Dr. James Thorp is an extensively published 68-year-old physician MD board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as maternal-fetal medicine, who has practiced obstetrics for over 42 years.

Thorp told The Epoch Times that he sees 6,000–7,000 high-risk pregnant patients a year and has seen many complications among them due to the COVID vaccines.

“I’ve seen many, many, many complications in pregnant women, in moms and in fetuses, in children, offspring,” Thorp said, “fetal death, miscarriage, death of the fetus inside the mom.

“What I’ve seen in the last two years is unprecedented,” Thorp asserted.

Thorp explained that although he has seen an increase in fetal death and adverse pregnancy outcomes associated with the COVID-19 vaccination, attempts to quantify this effect are hampered by the imposition of gag orders on physicians and nurses that were imposed in September 2021, as reviewed in the publication “Patient Betrayal: The Corruption of Healthcare, Informed Consent and the Physician-Patient Relationship” (pdf).

Today was a mixed day here in Houston.

Woke up to find out my TV had died in its sleep.

Uber finally recognised my credit cards so I zoomed off to get my hair cut.

Now I have to get a tan so I do not look like the perfect mugging victim in this area.

The $27.01 electronical robotty cat toy I bought on Amazon that arrived Wednesday still was totally ignored by all four cats so in frustration I kicked it towards a group of disinterested cats and yelled ” KILL IT!!! ”

The kick killed it. Anyone want to buy it for parts? A couple of motors, some flashing lights, a battery and some fucking feather on a stick thing.

Paid rent. It went up $100

Oh, as to the TV. I do not watch TV. I was using it as a screen connected to my little laptop.

Fortunately I found my 3x glasses so I can still communicate with the rest of the world.

Did I mention I cut my toenails in the bath tub?

Yep, you guessed it. Afterwards during a relaxing soak I sat on one.

So, in conclusion it was a great day!

I didn’t slip when getting out of the bath, fracture my skull on the sink, lay unconscious and bleeding for days and when found by paramedics they noticed my cats looked well fed.

    And my testicles were missing…..

This is just the West’s attempt to bleed the Russians to the last Ukrainian.

    Pretty cynical actually.
Using surrogate (Ukie) blood and Western treasure is an improvement in wasting western treasure and blood I guess, to get revenge on the Russians and Putin in particular. An improvement but is risks painting Russia and Putin into an economic and operational corner from which he will have difficulty extracting both Russia and himself. Just re-reading the latest tactical Russian Manuals and tactical nukes STILL star front and centre.

On the attach a string of up to 6 small nukes (1-5 Kilotonnes) sprinkled along the front line,a couple of medium nukes (20-100 kT) back at the Corps HQ level and a large nuke( > 1 mT) back in the massed logistics and theatre CaC regions. Heavy use of armor and light armoured Motor rifle troops leading a general breakthrough and envelopment.

The fly in the ointment is 1.The degree of blow-down damage that precludes easy crossing of the front lines by armor. 2. Degree that light armored troops will have to spend in a radioactive environment trying to cross highly damaged areas.3. The viability of truck bourne follow on reinforcements forced to cross highly radioactive limited numbers of roadways and the total dose of fallout, these lightly radiologically protected troops, will get. 4. The general persistence of the fallout cloud, moving East on the prevailing winds, contaminating Russian territory.

The Russians practiced these scenarios a lot pre 1988 but they still use the same manuals and planning data to this day. There acceptance of much higher radiological doses for their troops makes their planning a lot more robust than typical Western radiological planning scales.

This should worry the Western planners and give them call to question pressing Putin too hard, lest he push back if he thinks that he has nothing to lose.

I expect if the west over extends into Ukraine and a tactical nuke is launched then we will see a breakdown of law and order in the US. Leaders will get assassinated. It won’t be safe on the streets for any R or D.

IT’s time to settle in Ukraine. As far as I can tell the Russians are winning and the Ukrainian army is on its last legs. Danger point for everyone then.

No kids need to die in these countries. The US slime class that wants wealth from war needs a Trump against them.

I wish I had saved or bookmarked an article about the ratio of civilian casualties to military.

It went along the lines of in conventional war there was a 1:1 ratio of military to civilian dead. ( I think that is when the military are chasing each other in tanks and blowing each other up )

When a war gets nasty there is an 8:1 ratio. Many more civilians are killed.

Going back to WWII where Germany bombed London and other cities and we bombed Dresden and Cologne and Tokyo.

Prolong this war and civilians will be killed.

A controlled shutdown of a nuclear power station is safe.

For a start all of those systems and ammo that have been shipped or will be shipped have to be replaced ASP to maintain US minimum holdings and replace stocks reaching ‘end of life’. That means tens of billions of new orders and mega-$$$$$ to the Military industrial complex (AKA … the Swamp)

re: Ukraine. Victoria Nuland is in on it, the Bidens are getting kickbacks. After 9/11 when we had a lot of military deployed overseas I joined groups that sent ‘care’ packages to individual soldiers (AdoptASoldier was one). One of the more interesting soldiers I was assigned clued me in. He was a logistics officer at one of the POW camps in Iraq. There were 2 biggies, one held high value targets, (Camp Copper, I think?) the other ‘normal’ prisoners. He was at the ‘normal’ one. There was MAJOR graft going on with – get this – the food service concessions. What? You think our soldiers get MickeyDs in Iraq out of the goodness of somebody’s heart. Think again.
