PA GOP Primary is Tuesday

We have two big GOP primary races that everyone is focusing on.

First, for Governor. It’s Barletta versus Mastriano. No, they aren’t mafiosi looking to whack each other. Mastriano is the real deal MAGA badass vet and is leading in the polls, and is backed by Trump. Barletta is also a good dude but boring, in a good way. He did a great job as mayor in Hazelton for 10 years. I have no problem with him either. Mastriano will have a longer slog to get elected as Barletta is more popular in the general election race against the dem scum. Oddly, the dems are running ads that show how MAGA and Trumpian Mastriano is. Are they scared of him?

And then there is the train-wreck GOP primary for senate to replace the RINO-Bushie-NWO-Globalist Pat Toomey. Barnette is saying all of the right things but can’t seem to get her CV and other very basic details in order.  There is something about her that makes my teeth itch and gives me ocular muscle twitches. Dr Oz has Trump’s support. Yeah, big guy, you blew it there. A Friend-of-Oprah Turkish Muslim Dual Citizen carpet bagger is not an option. And finally there is McCormick, a former hedge fund dude and former Treasury exec who on paper looks a lot like a Bushie-Toomey. However, Cruz endorsed him, so that gives me a little push toward. And his website and commercials are hitting the right issues.  Wait till you see who the winner gets to run against!

What fun! Not.

A good piece on the attempted WHO takeover

In January, Loyce Pace, the Biden Administration’s delegate to the WHO, submitted amendments to 13 articles of the International Health Regulations. The Biden regime’s proposal is scheduled for a vote during the 75th World Health Assembly, held at the the Palais des Nations in Geneva on May 22-28.

The regulations, adopted by 194 member states in 2005, allow the WHO to declare a “Public Health Emergency of International Concern” if it believes that an infectious disease outbreak has occurred in a member state—but only with the consent of said member state.

The Biden regime’s new amendments would give the WHO director-general control over the declaration of a public health emergency in a member state—even over the objection of that member state.

The proposed amendments also empower WHO regional directors to declare a public health emergency in member states.

Disconcertingly, the WHO under Article 9 would be able to rely on sources for information leading to a declaration of a public health emergency while “maintain[ing] the confidentiality of the source.”

As the World Council for Health (WCH) points out, those sources “could include Big Pharma, WHO funders such as the Gates Foundation and the Gates-founded-and-funded GAVI Alliance, as well as others seeking to monopolize power.” To say nothing of China.

I read another piece yesterday in the Washington Examiner I found so confusing I didn’t post it. Trump supports Mastriano because “he’s a sure thing” but it will cost the Rs the governorship and Senate seat. I couldn’t follow the logic. I don’t know what I’m missing.

Good as far as it goes until this part

Corporate owners and buyers are another curveball. Corporations which snapped up hundreds or thousands of rental houses may have confused greed with investing genius, and a nice little recession may leave them with hundreds of vacant homes or newly unemployed renters resisting eviction for non-payment of rent.

As these corporations unload their massive inventory, prices could fall considerably lower than pundits anticipate.

They aren’t buying rental properties. They’re buying properties put up for sale AND CONVERTING THEM to rental properties. I know of one neighborhood here where a division of Blackrock bought an entire subdivision AS IT WAS BEING BUILT. It’s now all rentals. That’s a deliberate scarcity play that forces people into rentals. People are bitching about all the new development because it’s all multi-unit stuff. Some condos, but mostly rentals. Our HOA just changed the bylaws so that the owner has to have lived in the house for one year before renting it out. There will be no flipping.

Repost from downstairs, no back to work

We should always remember that the ultimate goal in the U.S. plan of training Ukrainians for war since 2014 was to alienate Germany from Russia – as Germany de facto controls Euroland economically.

Imperial control of the oceans allows the Empire to strangle Germany at will into subservience by cutting them off from Russian energy – as the British did to Germany in WWII when Britannia ruled the waves. The Wehrmacht could not supply their mechanized army with fuel. Now, in theory, Germany and the EU will have to look to the seas – and total U.S. dependency – for their natural resources.

The remote-controlled Kiev regime dominated by SBU fanatics and Azov neo-Nazis is making it even harder – by shutting off all natural gas from Russia through Ukraine into Europe, reducing the flow by more than one third.

That translates as U.S.-enforced blackmail to force the EU to increase the Ukro-weaponizing against Russia. The practical consequences for Germany and the EU will be dire – in terms of shut down industries and cost of home heating and electrical power.

    https://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2022/05/13/empire-of-bioweapon-lies/

stuff about the Pentagon’s and pharma’s Ukranian biolabs there too.

  9. coldwarrior
    9 | May 15, 2022 2:10 pm

    @ eaglesoars:
The provisional results of evidence being collected about the work of U.S. bioweapons in Ukraine are simply astonishing. These are the main takeaways.

U.S. bioweapon ideologues comprise the leadership of the Democratic Party. By linking with non-governmental biotechnology organizations, using the investment funds of the Clintons, Rockefellers, Soros and Biden, they profited from additional campaign financing – all duly concealed. In parallel, they assembled the legislative basis for financing the bioweapons program directly from the federal budget.
COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers Pfizer and Moderna, as well as Merck and Gilead – of Donald “known unknowns” fame, and affiliated with the Pentagon – were directly involved.
U.S. specialists tested new drugs in the Ukraine biolabs in circumvention of international safety standards. According to Kirillov, acting this way “Western companies seriously reduce the costs of research programs and gain significant competitive advantages.”
According to Kirillov, “along with U.S. pharmaceutical companies and Pentagon contractors, Ukrainian government agencies are involved in military biotechnology activities, whose main tasks are to conceal illegal activities, conduct field and clinical trials and provide the necessary biomaterial.”
The Pentagon, Kirillov pointed out, expanded its research potential not only in terms of producing biological weapons, but also gathering information on antibiotic resistance and the presence of antibodies to certain diseases among the population in specific regions. The testing ground in Ukraine was practically outside the control of the so-called “international community”.
These findings, amply documented, suggest a vast “legitimized” bioweapon racket reaching the highest levels of the American body politic. There’s no doubt the Russians plan to thoroughly unmask it for the benefit of world public opinion, starting with a War Crimes Tribunal to be set up this summer, most probably in Donetsk.

An ongoing U.S. bioweapons program in Ukraine was one of the Top Three reasons that led to the launch of Operation Z, side by side with preventing an imminent NATO-managed blitzkrieg against Donbass and Kiev’s desire to re-start a nuclear weapons program. These are Top Three red lines for Russia.

The strength of the collected evidence may directly correlate with what was largely interpreted as a carefully measured Victory Day speech by President Putin. The Kremlin does not bluff. It will certainly privilege the meticulous presentation of – bioweapon – facts on the ground over grandstanding rhetoric.

this is not only evil, but it’s gonna get very ugly

Pennsylvania Lt. Governor John Fetterman hospitalized

All events cancelled over the weekend

“On Friday, I wasn’t feeling well, so I went to the hospital to get checked out. I didn’t want to go – I didn’t think I had to – but Gisele insisted, and as usual, she was right. I hadn’t been feeling well, but was so focused on the campaign that I ignored the signs and just kept going. On Friday it finally caught up with me. I had a stroke that was caused by a clot from my heart being in an A-fib rhythm for too long. Fortunately, Gisele spotted the symptoms and got me to the hospital within minutes. The amazing doctors here were able to quickly and completely remove the clot, reversing the stroke, they got my heart under control as well. It’s a good reminder to listen to your body and be aware of the signs.

“The good news is I’m feeling much better, and the doctors tell me I didn’t suffer any cognitive damage. I’m well on my way to a full recovery. So I have a lot to be thankful for. They’re keeping me here for now for observation, but I should be out of here sometime soon. The doctors have assured me that I’ll be able to get back on the trail, but first I need to take a minute, get some rest, and recover. There’s so much at stake in this race, and I’m going to be ready for the hard fight ahead.

This is behind a paywall but insta has it. A mom writes to the Slate Advice column

    https://instapundit.com/520280/#respond

Yesterday, my 17-year-old daughter, a junior in high school, told us she was going to her boyfriend’s house. It turns out she lied.

I only found out because today, I casually mentioned Roe v. Wade may be overturned, and she replied, “I can’t wait. So many innocent lives will be spared.” We got into an argument in which she ended up confessing her actual whereabouts—she went to a “pro-life” rally with her boyfriend.

We’ve grounded her and taken away her phone for going behind our backs, but she’s showing no remorse. I just can’t believe it. This is the girl who dressed up as Ruth Bader Ginsburg for Halloween when she was 10. She’s heading to law school in a couple years. I seriously thought she was pro-choice and a feminist. I’ve been taking her to rallies and protests since she was a baby. We’ve been educating her about safe sex and consent. We donate to Planned Parenthood every year for Christmas. I’m fine with her disagreeing with us on other topics, but I had an abortion years ago. We live in a conservative state. I don’t want her right to choose to be taken away.

And I’m furious at her for going behind our backs. I’m suspicious of her boyfriend—I know he’s a conservative-leaning Christian and I don’t want to have raised a daughter who votes for whomever her boyfriend does. How do I convince her being pro-life isn’t helping her in the long run?

Barnette: I think they are tagging her because she is a person of a personal deep faith.

She will be like MTG and come out after elected to ban all abortions, separate boys and girls, deny pronouns. She just doesn’t want to say it. And the critics don’t want to call her on it.

I’m not that religious and don’t think ban all abortions is a good take for a GoP candidate.

She was called out on her DD214. She was in the reserves and national guard for 10 years. Received an honorable discharge. Posobiec has the docs. But still respected military vets like Sean Parnell are upset that her DD214 isn’t in order. High level reservists have verified that her reserve papers and docs are typical for a reservists. Regular military is having a tough time accepting that. But lets see Dr. Oz’s DD214. He served in the military. and the other candidates. She will come out far ahead of all of them,

Also, her professorship was in a Bible College. There are videos of her teaching but if you watch them you’ll get a taste of religion. Which the left can’t bear to publicize.

    Married. Two kids.

Stints as a financial analyst where I believe she said she was on wall street but wasn’t. She worked in the midwest for companies who were on wall street. Same as me basically via one brief insurance job.

I would expect her mom to speak up in the general about her birth and childhood. That story is hard to believe and it tugs at the heart strings.

Don’t allow her to go to with him to any conservative events or any other environment where she’s likely to face some attempts at indoctrination, especially without telling you. You may want to limit the amount of time she spends around his family. Constantly challenge their politics without attacking them as people. Help her to connect the dots between what she (hopefully) feels deep inside and how this boyfriend’s values differ. Resist any urge to just suck it up and allow your daughter to do her own thing politically; you’re fighting for her character, her humanity, and her ability to extend empathy to others. You can’t let this boy win. Good luck to you!

Fascinating. Loving Wife and I are currently in the market for a newer home for the three of us. We’ve been approved for a $600k mortgage. Cheap houses are in that range in the area we are looking. A lot more going much higher. Houses either sit on the market for weeks or are gone within two weeks.

Market has changed in the past two months as well. Multiple offers are still there, but the bidding war is probably over. Some prices are dropping as we watch.

The house we have our eyes on has been on the market for over two months and has dropped $150k in that time. Needs a lot of work, but it’s got most of what we need and are looking for. Going to be an interesting couple of months.

Her work on all of the stories were very polished except for the BLM clip before the clips of Buffalo NY regarding the shooting at the supermarket. There was no linkage between the race of the victims and the shooting. The clip showing the arrested shooter inferred that he was looking to specific target black shoppers but it was without linkage. She was under supervision of her mentor so I’ll keep my powder dry until she is let loose and can make her own stories, and link then seamlessly.

I don’t understand any of this but it’s probably important

Research breakthrough means warp speed ‘Unruh effect’ can finally be tested in lab settings

A major hurdle for work at the forefront of fundamental physics is the inability to test cutting-edge theories in a laboratory setting. But a recent discovery opens the door for scientists to see ideas in action that were previously only understood in theory or represented in science fiction.

One such theory is on the Unruh effect. When astronauts in a spacecraft undergo super strong acceleration and see the light of stars stream by, then the Unruh effect is an additional warm glow on top of the streaming light.First predicted by Canadian physicist Bill Unruh, this effect is closely related to the glow from black holes predicted by Stephen Hawking. This is because black holes strongly accelerate everything towards them.

“Black holes are believed to be not entirely black,” says Barbara Šoda, a PhD student in physics at the University of Waterloo. “Instead, as Stephen Hawking discovered, black holes should emit radiation. This is because, while nothing else can escape a black hole, quantum fluctuations of radiation can.”

Similar to how the Hawking effect needs a black hole, the Unruh effect requires enormous accelerations to produce a significant glow. The Unruh effect was therefore thought to be so weak that it would be impossible to measure with the accelerations that can be achieved in experiments with current technology.

The research team found an innovative way to experiment on the Unruh effect through a novel use of high-intensity lasers. They discovered that shining a high-intensity laser on an accelerated particle can amplify the Unruh effect so much that it actually becomes measurable.

In an unexpected twist, the team also discovered that by delicately balancing acceleration and deceleration, one should even be able to make accelerated matter transparent.

Biden set to redeploy troops to Somalia, reversing Trump withdrawal

President Biden will redeploy troops to Somalia to counter al Qaeda affiliate al-Shabaab, reversing former President Trump’s decision to withdraw forces from the country near the end of his administration.

“President Biden has approved a request from the Secretary of Defense to reestablish a persistent U.S. military presence in Somalia to enable a more effective fight against al-Shabaab, which has increased in strength and poses a heightened threat,” a senior administration official told The Hill in a statement.

“This is a repositioning of forces already in theater who have travelled in and out of Somalia on an episodic basis since the previous administration made the decision to withdraw in January 2021,” the official continued.

The official didn’t say how many troops would be sent to Somalia. The New York Times, which first reported the move, cited officials saying the number would be no more than 450 troops.

Liz Cheney rips House GOP leaders, claims they ‘enabled’ white supremacists

Rep. Liz Cheney tore into her follow House Republicans Monday, accusing party leadership of having “enabled white nationalism, white supremacy, and anti-semitism.”

“History has taught us that what begins with words ends in far worse,” Cheney (R-Wyo.) tweeted less than 48 hours after Saturday’s racially motivated massacre at a Buffalo supermarket. “@GOP leaders must renounce and reject these views and those who hold them.”

Cheney did not call out specific members of Congress in the message, which she posted from her personal Twitter account rather than her congressional page.

However, two Republican lawmakers — Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia and Paul Gosar of Arizona — have caused an outcry over their association with white nationalist groups.

    Just in time

Fairfax, Virginia Schools May Expel Elementary Students For ‘Misgendering’ People

Fairfax’s proposed changes, set to be approved May 26, have hit a new low. Legally meaningless offenses such as “malicious misgendering” and “outing related to gender identification” would be now punishable by up to “Level 4” sanctions. It’s the last level before penalties for drug dealing, rape, and homicide.

Level 4 is the punishment meted out for assault and battery, drug consumption, theft, and arson. These penalties may be applied even to kindergarteners and include, at their worst, expulsion at the behest of the school board.

This barrage of ideological punishment is accompanied by the school board sex-ed committee’s latest, unanimous April 2022 vote to move instruction on gender identity down to elementary school. This puts the Fairfax school system entirely out of step with the Virginia State Standards of Learning on Family Life Education (sex ed).

The NZ socialist Progressive government of Cindi Ardern and her Greenie party support groupies just vowed to spend mega billions on everything green. They couldn’t articulate ANYTHING really about HOW they would do this sleight of hand exercise. They came up with a complicated scheme to help fund folks driving gasoline powered cars to ‘transition’ into e-cars through massive subsidies. Alas they forgot to plan for where all of this power was coming from. Also folks were discovered circumventing the subsidy system and unsealing the e-cars for a profit. 🙂

When asked to explain how this hair-brained scheme was supposed the leader of the NZ Green Party stammered and got his arse handed to him on a plate by by conservative ‘shock jock’, and couldn’t answer even the simplest question. These socialists are BS artists and have nothing but crude propaganda where solid policy plans should be. The Labour-Green-Maori Party coalition is now underwater electorally. WE have, unfortunately another 16 months of this amateur hour governance to endure before the next election. Meanwhile NZ is headed for a Recession that stretches well into 2023.

Abbott says agreement reached to reopen baby formula plant

WASHINGTON (AP) — Baby formula maker Abbott said Monday it has reached an agreement with U.S. health regulators to restart production at its largest domestic factory, though it will be well over a month before any new products ship from the site to help alleviate the national shortage facing parents.

Abbott did not immediately detail the terms of the agreement with the Food and Drug Administration, which has been investigating safety concerns at its Sturgis, Michigan, plant since early this year. The consent decree amounts to a legally binding agreement between the FDA and the company on steps needed to reopen the factory.

An FDA spokeswoman did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the announcement Monday evening.

After production resumes, Abbott said it will take between six-to-eight weeks before new products begin arriving in stores. The company didn’t set a timeline to restart production.

Busted: Biden’s “Minster of Truth” Nina Jankowicz Participated in Secret NATO-Funded Cabal to Subvert Western Democracies Using Disinformation as Cover

Nina’s name appeared in one of the most explosive and aggressively censored national security leaks of the century. The leak in question exposed the “Integrity Initiative,” a dark government-funded NGO that appears to have engaged in political meddling and covert influence operations in Western countries under the guise of fighting “disinformation.”

Founded in mid-2015 under the auspices of the U.K. government-funded NGO “Institute for Statecraft,” the Integrity Initiative boasted a precociously fashionable motto: “Defending Democracy Against Disinformation.”
    .
    .
Another name that appears alongside Nina Jankowicz’s in the leaked documents as a member of the “inner core” of the U.K. cluster dealing with Russia is Anne Applebaum. Revolver briefly touched upon Applebaum’s apparent involvement in the Integrity Initiative in an earlier piece.
    .
    .
First, we note the sinister irony that the NATO-funded Integrity Initiative, whose ostensible purpose is to “Defend Democracy Against Disinformation,” was caught red-handed conducting a secretive influence operation to meddle in the internal politics of Spain, a democratic NATO member.

Second, we note how crucial — indeed, indispensable — the social media platform Twitter was to the influence operations in question. It is precisely the importance of Twitter as a theater for U.S., U.K., and NATO backed psychological influence operations that informed our analysis of Elon Musk’s attempt to purchase the platform. We weren’t exaggerating when we described Elon’s threat to allow free speech and transparency on Twitter as a “declaration of war” against the Regime. As the Integrity Initiative’s use of the platform shows, Twitter’s value to U.S.-aligned intelligence agencies as a friendly ground for influence operations far exceeds its nominal value as a technology company

Former US intelligence chief warns Biden could freeze bank accounts to combat ‘misinformation’

The White House has already made an attempt to collect bank account information from Americans last October, in a move which Richard Grenell warned could be repeated.

The White House has already made an attempt to collect bank account information from Americans last October, through a directive to the IRS. According to a report from ABC News, the Biden administration had to back down “on a controversial proposal to direct the IRS to collect additional data on every bank account that sees more than $600 in annual transactions.”

The turnaround came “after widespread criticism from Republican lawmakers and banking industry representatives, who said the tax enforcement strategy represented a breach of privacy by the federal government,” according to the ABC report.

Republican Senator John Thune of South Dakota said at the time: “So how long is it gonna take for them to say, ‘Well you know we need a little bit more information because we really can’t make much of this.’ Then they’re going to want individual transactions and who knows what.”

Now, Biden’s new Disinformation Governance Board (DGB) has come under criticism from the Wall Street Journal, who compared it to the secret police of the Russian communists, the KGB.

The dangers of the DGB will be amplified if it becomes the tool of partisan political actors. And it already has. Executive director Nina Jankowicz… has said: “Unless we mitigate our own political polarization, our own internal issues, we will continue to be an easy target for any malign actor—Russian or Iranian, foreign or domestic—to manipulate.”

Yes, you read that right. We must all fall in line because of the many grave threats—domestic as well as foreign—out there. Incorrect political opinions become a national-security threat. The DGB already looks frighteningly similar to the KGB.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said of the of the new department in a press conference in April that it would help to “address unauthorized terrorism, other threats and see how disinformation and misinformation is being pushed to lead to increase those.”

Any good leader with vision and this responsibility could have accomplished this a few months ago. Biden is the man in that chair. Same as the Flint water crisis should be solved. No one wants to own it.

There is a debate in social media regarding the content of US baby formula. People are saying it has too much corn syrup and corn oil. Some calling it “liquid Doritos” others saying kids digestive systems are fine with this.

WTAF? Consent decree?? Fuck these people somebody is lying.

Abbott baby formula factory claims the FDA HASN’T given it the greenlight to restart production despite agency claiming it could be up and running in two weeks. The Abbott Laboratories factory has reached a consent decree with the FDA, which is an important step towards reopening its Sturgis, Michigan plant, they reported.

The company says it could reopen in as few as two weeks after it gets approval from the courts, which must now approve the consent decree; however, the FDA has yet to give them the authority to resume operations.

When asked about a timeframe for reopening the plant, FDA Commissioner Robert Califf said: ‘We all know the treachery of giving exact timeframes.’

He reiterated he doesn’t expect the FDA to delay Abbott’s reopening. Frank Yiannas, an FDA official, said it is ‘totally reasonable and likely to happen’ that the plant would reopen and have products to consumers in 10 weeks.

Abbott’s CEO described the consent decree as ‘a major step toward re-opening our Sturgis facility so we can ease the nationwide formula shortage’.

the entire movement is mentality ill and needs a serious and professional intervention.

… and in the past, this was treated as a mental illness. I’ve used the analogy before, people who say they are Napoleon Bonaparte or Jesus Christ or other historical figures are treated as mentally ill and help is sought for them. People who decide they are a different gender or an animal are treated with kid gloves and fawned over “how brave they are for coming out as who they really are”. That helps no one — the suicide statistics for the transgender crowd show that.

FBI Deemed Trump–Russia Claims False in Less Than a Day, Agent Says

FBI agents tasked with analyzing claims about Donald Trump and Russia took less than a day to figure out that the data didn’t support the allegations, one of the agents testified in federal court on May 17.

Agent Scott Hellman was part of the team that examined white papers and data on thumb drives handed in 2016 to FBI lawyer James Baker by Michael Sussmann, an attorney who was representing the campaign of Hillary Clinton—Trump’s rival for the presidency.

On the first day of Sussmann’s trial for allegedly lying to the FBI when he said he wasn’t bringing the information on behalf of a client, Hellman told the court that he and another agent took less than a day to ascertain that the information didn’t support the allegations that Trump’s business and Russia’s Alfa Bank had a secret connection.

“I think the person who drafted [the main white paper] was suffering from a mental disability,” Hellman said.

Before filings in the Sussmann case, the FBI’s determination regarding the allegations was unclear. In one of the filings, special counsel John Durham said that the bureau and the CIA had concluded that the allegations were “untrue and unsupported.”

He also said the bureau did not ultimately reach a conclusion regarding the data’s accuracy or whether it might have been entirely or partially fabricated, but that the CIA determined in early 2017 that the data were not “technically plausible” and were “user created and not machine/tool generated.”

On the stand, Hellman said when he got the thumb drives and white papers, he examined them to see if there was any hacking involved before doing a technical review to compare it with the narrative outlined in the primary paper.

He called the methodology the paper’s authors used “questionable” and said the claim of a secret backchannel “just didn’t make sense to us.”

“Why would a presidential candidate put their own name on a supposedly secret domain name?” he said.

Hellman said he was frustrated when he described Baker’s refusal to reveal the identity of the person who provided the data, other than saying it was from “a sensitive source.” He found that unusual.

During cross-examination, Hellman was questioned by Sean Berkowitz, one of Sussmann’s lawyers.

Berkowitz wondered about Hellman saying he didn’t know where Baker got the data, pointing out that in internal FBI chats, one agent named Sussmann as the source, and in others, agents described the primary paper as “the DNC paper.” DNC stands for Democratic National Committee. The committee was in 2016 another client of Perkins Coie, Sussmann’s law firm.

Hellman said he would have made clear where it came from, had he known. He said he wasn’t aware that other agents were calling it a DNC paper.

While Hellman ultimately penned a memorandum detailing concerns with the data, the FBI’s counterintelligence division decided to investigate the allegations anyway.

Wow. Nina Jankowicz has a REALLY unsavory history, right down to working with a group, StopFake, that whitewashed the Azov brigade, among others.

The “grand wizards” of battling fake news have even dabbled with Holocaust distortion, downplaying WWII-era paramilitaries who slaughtered Jews as mere “historic figures” and Ukrainian nationalist leaders, while attacking members of the US Congress who had denounced Ukraine’s glorification of Nazi collaborators.

Astonishingly, when Jankowicz herself was quoted in a July 2020 New York Times story about StopFake’s going off the rails, the article failed to disclose the fact that the disinformation expert being quoted used to work with the group.

Painting neo-Nazi paramilitaries with an extensive record of war crimes as patriots helping refugees, all while working with a “disinformation” group that turned out to run interference for violent neo-Nazi formations—that’s the experience Biden’s new disinformation czar brings to the table

There are some very clever people out there

Hackers created a robocaller to waste Russian officials time and you can listen in on the calls

A hacktivist group calling itself Obfuscated Dreams of Scheherazade has created a bot that sets up a conference call between multiple government entities, causing each to think the other one made the call. The stated purpose is to waste the government’s time and tie up the phone lines. The automated spam calls go on non-stop during Russian operating hours.

On Wednesday, the hacking group set up a website where anybody can initiate and listen in on one of these calls. The website is called Waste Russian Time Today. Users visiting the site can scroll down to the telephone icon, start a call between random Russian agencies, and listen to the chaos as they try to figure out who is calling who and why.

Obviously, knowing Russian might help understand what is said. Still, participants likely get heated as the officials have probably been fielding nonsense calls all day — anger and frustration sound the same in any language. Regardless of whether anybody uses the site, the bot still places calls without human intervention to ensure it wastes as much of the agencies’ time as possible.

“If youʼre on the phone, you canʼt drop bombs or coordinate soldiers,” the group said. “[Don’t speak Russian?] Block the lines! You can always guess something from the voices. And the more Duma employees are irritated, the better.”

So far, 5,186 calls have been placed from the website since going live today.

There are lessons we all can and should draw from the latest mass shooting in Buffalo, N.Y., including the fact that the suspect, 18-year-old Payton Gendron, chose the location for a specific reason that did not have anything to do with race.

According to a 180-page manifesto, he noted that he should be okay during his rampage because of strict gun laws not just in New York but in Buffalo as well, meaning he believed that he would be relatively safe from someone armed and prepared to defend themselves and others at the grocery store he chose to attack.

Should have never come to this. The FDA screwed up badly in how they handled the shutdown of the Abbott plant and failed to consider the consequences of their actions. This is what happens when government is so tightly woven into the fabric of commerce that they can impact the availability of critical supplies that they should have no influence upon other than verifying that they are safe and effective.

This is hilarious/hysterical. They’re losing and they know it. Watch for HUGE fraud in the general.

How Pa. GOP gov pick could turn election lies into action

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Doug Mastriano is not the only candidate who won a Republican primary on Tuesday after embracing Donald Trump’s lie that the 2020 election was stolen. But no GOP contender did more to subvert that presidential election — and no one may be better positioned to subvert the next one — than Mastriano if he’s elected Pennsylvania’s governor.

In one of the most politically competitive states in the U.S., the newly minted Republican nominee for governor was deeply involved in the former president’s efforts to overturn the last election. He was at the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6 insurrection.

If he’s elected in November, Mastriano has pledged to end no-excuse vote by mail, a process that hundreds of thousands used in this week’s primary. He also wants to force millions of registered voters to register again.

While he would have to contend with a Legislature that may not go along with his plans, he would still have significant authority over elections because Pennsylvania is one of the few states where governors have the power to appoint the secretary of state. As Pennsylvania’s chief elections official, that official oversees how elections are managed, gives counties guidance on how to conduct elections and, crucially, certifies the final results.

With his far-right brand of politics, Mastriano’s victory actually has been seen by some as a gift for Democrats, leaving Republicans with a candidate so out of step with Pennsylvania that he would struggle in a general election campaign. But Pennsylvania was one of the critical states that Trump won in 2016, and he lost it by just over one percentage point in 2020. With that in mind, Democrats made an urgent case for their supporters to take Mastriano seriously.

“People should be terrified,” said Jamie Perrapato, executive director of the pro-Democrat group Turn PA Blue. “We have literally opened the door to a conspiracy theorist who was at the insurrection.”

As the reality of Mastriano’s victory settled in on Wednesday, there were early signs that GOP officials may ultimately rally behind their party’s new standard bearer, even if the prevailing mood among leading Republicans was dark.

Wait, what? The Republican mood is dark? Where? Oh, among LEADING Republicans. Like Mitt Romney, et. al.

Everything has corn syrup in it. Someone online showed me an ingredients picture of Quakers Oats US versus UK. Same box. UK had mostly just oats . The US version had 12 ingredients in it.

You need a 2 Kg bag of Pam’s in house oats. There is a list of ingredients…….Oats…. Nothing else. NZ$4.20 (Around US$3.00)

None of the oats on sale at my local supermarket has more than a single ingredient….. OATS…..

    🙂

Ok. Something doesn’t make sense. I checked on what formulas Abbott makes.

    Similac, Elecare, Metabolic

I remembered from years ago a story going after Nestle because their baby formula required clean water and in underdeveloped countries that could be hard to come by. So I checked on what Nestle produces. Something called NAN. They’re flying stuff from the Netherlands.

There is another producer, Mead Johnson. They make Enfamil.

So why is there a formula shortage because one producer was taken offline?

And Enfamil is owned by Mead Johnson.

All you need is a couple of non-stick bread tins and the recipe. That’ll make you two 2 Lb loaves of the most delicious bread you have ever tasted. No kneading, knocking back and all that. Just mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl, add the water and 1 tsp of wine vinegar. Stir, set aside for 12-18 hours divide into two and load the mix into the two bread tins. Set aside for another 2 hours and cover with foil and cook for 35 minutes. Sprinkle the top with water and pop them back in the over for a further 10 minutes this time without the foil. Turn the loaves out onto a cooling rack and enjoy the best bread that you have ever tasted for about US$0.75 per loaf.

Wait. I went back to the original pics of ‘formula’ at the border crossing.

From a brand I never heard of. NIDO.

    https://nypost.com/2022/05/12/border-detention-center-has-baby-formula-amid-shortage-photos/

A quick search shows this is a Nestle product for a market in Mexico. It has nothing to do with Abbott. IT IS NOT BABY FORMULA. You can get it on Amazon and it’s for toddlers. It’s like our chocolate Nestle Quik.

    https://www.amazon.com/NESTLE-NIDO-Powdered-Beverage-Canister/dp/B01KTMGXCW/ref=asc_df_B01KTMGXCW/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=507604268877&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7304893039158865806&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9013463&hvtargid=pla-1288514653090&psc=1

Nothing else in that pic is baby formula either.

    So what do I have?

There are 3 formula manufacturers. Abbott. Nestle. Mead Johnson.

The ‘formula’ at the border crossings is not formula based on the evidence presented by the pics.

Given only one of 3 producers was taken off-line, what explains the shortage? Abbott produces Similac, but Mead Johnson produces Enfamil.

Enfamil is still widely available on Amazon. (Mead Johnson)

    And so is Similac (Abbott)

Similac 360 Total Care Infant Formula, with 5 HMO Prebiotics, Our Closest Formula to Breast Milk, Non-GMO, Baby Formula, Ready-to-Feed, 8-fl-oz Bottle (Case of 24)

    https://www.amazon.com/Similac-Formula-Prebiotics-Closest-Non-GMO/dp/B09DTK1JG9/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1L8CHXJXGVYFN&keywords=Similac&qid=1652939289&rdc=1&s=grocery&sprefix=similac%2Cgrocery%2C78&sr=1-1

Do your own search on the Amazon site. Tell me what I’m missing.

ok, NOW I’m going to bed.

Even many of those who correctly predicted an ‘unawesome’ year in 2022 are arguably not grasping what the “demand destruction” implied in lower bond yields, lower stocks, and lower prices of *inelastic* commodities, really means.

It surely means a deep, not a shallow recession; a surge in unemployment; an asset-price crash in asset-driven economies; and further humiliation of “experts” and the “consensus view” of how things should be done. Worse, it means being cold this winter, because one cannot afford to heat one’s home, and businesses closing because they cannot pass on higher energy costs. Worst of all it means hunger: a report shows one in four Britons are skipping meals due to inflation already. Now fire lots of them too to bring prices down, eh?

You thought people were angry in 2016? You thought they were angry during ‘science-based’ Covid lockdowns and restrictions? You thought they were angry when *nobody* built *anything* back better anywhere afterwards? Or when they were censored on social media? Or when a major war started and upended things? Try making everyone –even billionaires!– much poorer all at once too, because that is what is happening.

I saw a comment yesterday that inflation may shut down talk of fiscal stimulus for years, as it will be blamed. Perhaps in the circle of “experts” who led us here, yes. Yet in that case we sink deeper into neo-Dickensian socio-economic/political instability. To my mind, it is more likely that we see massive new populism. First of all, towards emergency stimulus that at least echoes what was done in 2020. The Daily Mail flags ‘Ministers prepare plan to help three million of the lowest paid, offer relief on energy bills and announce pledge to ease burden on business’: that is from people who think you can eat a meal for 30p. Other countries will be far more generous – or their societies will be far more rancorous.

Oh sweetheart. Stop. It doesn’t work anymore, if it ever did

Former Trump White House national security official Fiona Hill said Russian President Vladimir Putin had “to explain everything to all the time” to former President Trump.

“He had to keep explaining things, and Putin doesn’t like to do that,” Hill said this week, speaking at a Chicago Council on Global Affairs event in remarks reported by Insider.

Hill added that Putin intentionally chose to invade Ukraine during President Biden’s tenure in the White House.

“He thought that somebody like Biden, who’s a transatlanticist, who knows all about NATO, who actually knows where Ukraine is, and actually knows something about the history, and is very steeped in international affairs, would be the right person to engage with as opposed to somebody that you have to explain everything to all the time, honestly,” the former national security official added.

Biden is certainly steeped in international affairs, but not the way Fiona Baby is trying to get us to believe.

Using the revolutionary gene editing tech, the GSU neuroscience team discovered that knocking out a receptor of vasopressin — a hormone associated with aggression, communication, and social bonding in both humans and hamsters — instead seemed to supercharge the cute rodents’ worst instincts.

“We anticipated that if we eliminated vasopressin activity, we would reduce both aggression and social communication,” GSU neuroscience researcher H. Elliott Albers said in a statement. “But the opposite happened.”

When Donald Trump was president-elect, he considered naming McCormick the U.S. Secretary of Treasury, but instead offered him the position of U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense.[26] However, he declined this position because he was happy with his role at Bridgewater. In early 2019, McCormick was under consideration for U.S. Secretary of Defense by the Trump administration.[27]

Bloomberg.com published a story today headlined “Age of Scarcity Begins With $1.6 Trillion Hit to World Economy” which led Steve Bannon to go on a rant about how this should be an Age of Abundance, and it was — under President Trump! He’s joined in the first segment by economist Dave Brat, the dean of the Liberty School of Business, for an explanation of how we got here. In Part 2, watch energy consultant Dave Walsh talk about how the crisis is just getting started. Just wait until fall when our farmers take in the harvest, which will be devastated by the fertilizer shortage that’s under way now.

The 2nd, from Dave Walsh, the energy guy very good. Both are short.

BREAKING: Biden admin adds $100 million in arms for Ukraine on top of $40 billion aid package

On Thursday, the Senate approved $40 billion in aid for Ukraine as the nation continues to fight back against Russia’s invasion.

Just hours later, Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that the United States would be sending an additional $100 million in arms.
In a statement, Blinken explained that Ukrainian forces have “remained firmly in the fight” against Russia, but are in need of assistance, namely arms and other equipment.

“Pursuant to a delegation from the President,” Blinken said, “I am authorizing our tenth drawdown of additional arms and equipment for Ukraine’s defense from US Department of Defense inventories, valued at up to $100 million.”
“This brings total US military assistance to Ukraine to approximately $3.9 billion in arms and equipment since Russia launched its brutal and unprovoked full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24.

Nah. I think it’s just happy news. He’s had some years to know what it’s like to be married to a politician and knows the drill. Depp married Heard on the rebound from his marriage to Vanessa what’s-her-name who dumped him for whatever reason. That’s when he started his downward spiral. Full disclosure: I told Hubby if he wanted to run for office/become a full politician any marriage consideration was off the table. A lobbyist is fine, but no way was I going to be an elected official’s wife. Deal breaker. And he was often solicited to run for office. I put the kibosh on it when he put the ring on my finger. According to Alaska Magazine, if you’re out hiking in the wilderness you need to carry jingle bells so as not to surprise bears, and pepper spray in case you encounter one. You also need to be able to identify bear scat, and to know the difference between brown bear and grizzly bear spoor.

Brown bear scat is about the size of golf balls and contains seeds, nutshells, twigs and small animal bones. The scat of the grizzly has the same, but is the size of baseballs, smells like pepper spray and contains jingle bells.

Superconducting X-ray laser reaches operating temperature colder than outer space

Nestled 30 feet underground in Menlo Park, California, a half-mile-long stretch of tunnel is now colder than most of the universe. It houses a new superconducting particle accelerator, part of an upgrade project to the Linac Coherent Light Source (LCLS) X-ray free-electron laser at the Department of Energy’s SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory.

Crews have successfully cooled the accelerator to minus 456 degrees Fahrenheit—or 2 Kelvin—a temperature at which it becomes superconducting and can boost electrons to high energies with nearly zero energy lost in the process. It is one of the last milestones before LCLS-II will produce X-ray pulses that are 10,000 times brighter, on average, than those of LCLS and that arrive up to a million times per second—a world record for today’s most powerful X-ray light sources.

“In just a few hours, LCLS-II will produce more X-ray pulses than the current laser has generated in its entire lifetime,” says Mike Dunne, director of LCLS. “Data that once might have taken months to collect could be produced in minutes. It will take X-ray science to the next level, paving the way for a whole new range of studies and advancing our ability to develop revolutionary technologies to address some of the most profound challenges facing our society.”
