That’s why I laugh at all the EV fanboys who have been giving the Ford F150 Lightning such glowing reviews.

I’m sure it’ll work fine for running to Home Depot to pick up some plywood and potting soil. Good luck using it to tow an RV, though. I suppose you could throw a generator in the back in order to recharge it…

I’ve seen brand new electric city buses parked in our WalMart parking lot a couple of times overnight. They were being delivered from somewhere in the east to cities in California. Since they’re so big, they have to drive them, rather than put them on trains or trailers.

They have an F350 following behind, pulling a trailer with a big ass Cat diesel generator.

    EAGLES…

Could you do me a huge favour?

Mrs AI is about to be subjected to a serious dose of WOKISM tomorrow at Kings College in Auckland NZ. The offending outfit is called JAH Holdings LLC based at :-

    JAH Holdings LLC
    10219 Raleigh Lagrange Rd.
    EADS – Fisherville
    (just East of Memphis Tn.)

There is a Marxist who appears to have swallowed the whole JAH spiel, translated it into a radical Maori perspective, completed a Masters at Canterbury University and spat out his thesis called Mauri 2 Mana. He is touting this Marxist ‘woke word salad’ mostly around hospital Boards, but looks as if he’s branching out and selling the … you’re all ‘opressors and we brown folks are the victims. You know the usual BS. The woks theme as developed in 2016 in Tn and this ‘flim flam Marxist’ has grafted his MA thesis off the original course material … with additional Maori material to make it more relevant to the NZ context.

The basis of this whole woke BS is based on a philosophical ontology (yes I has to look that one up too), with a healthy dose of ‘woke’.

Can you track down a background on this outfit and I’ll find Niua-Whatuira’s thesis and look for a case of cloning his thesis by just changing the context to protect the guilty.

I need this by tonight your time if possible so I can craft a set of embarrassing questions for Mrs AI to ask tomorrow.

    @ Bunk Five Hawks X:
    Had to look it up.

    What Are Prion Diseases?
Prion diseases are a group of different conditions that affect your brain and nervous system. They can cause severe dementia or problems with body control that get worse very quickly. They’re rare — the U.S. has only about 350 cases of prion diseases each year.

    https://www.webmd.com/brain/prion-diseases
Friend of friend on Twitter was complaining about symptoms after he got the vax.

  31. 33 | June 6, 2022 1:18 am

    @ Bunk Five Hawks X:

Common symptoms of prion disease include:

difficulties with thinking, memory, and judgment
personality changes like apathy, agitation, and depression
    confusion or disorientation
    involuntary muscle spasms (myoclonus)
    loss of coordination (ataxia)
    trouble sleeping (insomnia)
    difficult or slurred speech
    impaired vision or blindness

The only way to confirm a diagnosis of prion disease is through a brain biopsy performed after death.

Yes: difficulties with thinking, memory, and judgment
personality changes like apathy, agitation, and depression
    confusion or disorientation
    Yes: involuntary muscle spasms (myoclonus)
Maybe a little: loss of coordination (ataxia)
    Yes: trouble sleeping (insomnia)
    No: difficult or slurred speech
Yes but seems slight: impaired vision or blindness

I wouldn’t give the shot to a child. I feel there can be long term developmental consequences. I’m old. Taking the edge off isn’t going to bother me that much.

Hey! Guess what? Today is our 30th anniversary!

    It’s also the 78th anniversary of D-Day

There’s a joke in there somewhere

THIS is not a joke and it’s about time. Jim Jordan says the quiet part out loud

Rep. Jim Jordan is never one to mince words. So when asked why President Joe Biden was willing to risk children losing their federally subsidized school lunches just to force schools to adopt new LGBTQ-plus agendas, the Ohio Republican gave a razor sharp answer.

“It makes no sense,” Jordan told Just the News during an interview Friday on the John Solomon Reports podcast. “That tells you this is intentional.”

Now, the most unpopular features of the current American scene — high gas and food prices, transgender mandates and the open border among them — are relentlessly painted as part of the president’s and Democrats’ deliberate policies.

“The wide-open ‘border’ is no accident,” columnist and London Center fellow Deroy Murdock wrote in a Memorial Day weekend column. “It is deliberate. This is not a sign of incompetence. It is a reflection of [BIden’s] relentless, intentional destruction of the southern ‘frontier.'”

After Biden’s administration canceled drilling leases in the Gulf and blocked energy exploration in an oil-rich part of Alaska, gas and oil prices creeped up almost daily for two straight weeks.

Biden to invoke Defense Production Act for clean energy

President Biden will shield solar project developers from the costs of potential trade penalties and offer new federal support for domestic panel manufacturing, the White House said Monday.

Driving the news: The Biden administration plans to provide a two-year reprieve from panel import tariffs that may stem from an ongoing Commerce Department probe of whether Chinese companies are dodging U.S. penalties.

Biden also plans to invoke the Defense Production Act (DPA) to boost the manufacturing of panels and other clean energy equipment in the U.S., senior administration officials told reporters Monday morning.

    https://www.axios.com/2022/06/06/biden-solar-panels-federal-support

Sure go ahead and distort the market. And where does this idea that solar is ‘clean’ come from? It’s garbage. Look at this

    https://katv.com/news/local/largest-solar-farm-in-arkansas-ready-for-use

We have got large numbers of ‘Maori’ who have a 1/64 and counting Maori blood in their veins but get onto the tribal bandwagon for all of the freebies and scholarships that ‘white guilt’ has generated within the Progressive community. These Maori have blue eyes and blond hair but when it comes to handouts they are in there with the best of ’em!

More troubling are Maori ‘corporates’ who demand government largess and handouts aplenty. Such as Maori Fisheries were ‘gifted’ 50% of the NZ total fishery. Not as one would assume out to 3 miles or as far as one might paddle a canoe but tens of thousands of square kilometres that makes up a fishery within the top ten in the world. Maori corporates made up of tribal leaders and nobody else enrich themselves and the 99% of Maori get zip. Ahhh Tribal politics… truly the haves and the have nots!

    59 | June 6, 2022 5:41 pm

    @ coldwarrior:
Back in the 1990s there was a wash-up of outstanding Treaty Settlements. Liberal white lawyers including the then Attorney General were supposed to finalise and draw a line under the whole Treaty of Waitangi process of giving back to Maori what they had lost during the Land Wars. The problem was that a LOT of land was actually SOLD by Maori chiefs even though that land was got by conquest from other Maori. The land was also held in some instances by thousands of ‘owners’ and to sell it you had to get the signatures of X s from every one. That never happened and the chiefs pocketed the cash and the government issued the land titles.

5 generations later the titles still are lawful and nobody can prove to have owned anything tribally because the land was fought over and captured and lost dozens of times in the past. Now VERY rich 1%ers tribalists are demanding a revisit of these reparations all over again and a new generation of Maori 1% elite want their cut.

    Yup.

It was all the usual gang-related crap. One involved 5 different shooters.

I won’t say it doesn’t bother me. There was a day I couldn’t remember my phone password. Something I use multiple times per day. I couldn’t even guess it. I thought things were over then.

Get yourself to the gym Darkwords. Hard at first but if you can get over the hump at 3 months is becomes a good thing to do and almost pleasurable… Almost!

Do the BIG 5 exercises. It takes only 12 minutes twice a week to start and after 3 months just once every 5 days. From a sitting position…. One pull down; one lift up; one push forward; and one pull back then a leg extension pushing out and recovering back.

Start by finding the MAX weight you can manage for a SINGLE rep on each exercise type. Then take 70% of that weight and complete 5 reps at a rate initially of 10 secs up and 10 secs down. You should be failing by the time you get to the fifth rep but persist in the failure and keep pushing both up and down for the final (fail) rep. THAT is the rep that does you all the good. Once you can do 10 reps on each exercise up the time to 12sec up and 12 sec down, and once you can do that up the time to 15 secs up and 15 secs down. Once you can achieve that you can up the weights by NO MORE than 10% and start again at 10 sec up and 10 sec down.

Keep doing that until you stop progressing in increasing weights but plateau at 15 secs up and 15 secs down.
This is your physical limit. Keep doing this about every 5 days to 1 week … forever…

I’d also recommend finding a ‘back machine at a gym and do some work on your CORE STRENGTH. It’ll do wonders for your flexibility and will stabilise your core and keep you upright and strong. These sets of HEAVY weight training are counter intuitive as there is little or no chance of hurting yourself as you move s-l-o-w-l-y and deliberately and when you fail it’ll be at a point prior to you hurting something. Good ‘form’ is needed too and get a ‘helper’ initially to check that you are sitting up straight and not favouring one side or the other and you are definitely NOT lifting fast or jerking. Everything has to be smooth and slow and you’re expected to fail on the 5th. rep. Remember to hold in the failure for as long as the count lasts because that is where you are making new muscle.

Forget all of the BS about whey suppliments and protein shakes to help build smooth muscle. If you have a low level of protein then use a properly balanced Amino acids supplement 30 minutes BEFORE exercise if you’re female or 30 minutes AFTER exercise if you’re male. Something like ‘Advanced Bionutritionals … Perfect Amino. You’ll build smooth ‘stringy muscle’ and will NOT bulk up, just get twice as strong as you were.

It’s as simple as that. You can do this at ANY age as your body will sort out your starting point for you automatically.

There one gets to do a Masters if you pass 7 units in Maori Studies and Language and get an undergraduate Diploma level pass. Not even a 3 year Bachelors undergraduate level! The AUT Masters is a project based thesis or completing of a ‘reading list’ on a subject of one’s choosing.

Jason is a would be Maori elitist who is using material from The JAH Holdings (a dodgy outfit if there ever was one) to craft his Mauri2Mana program, filling it with Woke word salad material and selling it to would be jokesters in the Health and Education Sectors for $$$$$$$. ‘Great Optimism’ Over Complete Responses in dMMR Rectal Cancer

    https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/975062

100% recovery…all 12 who were in the study

    https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2201445

this result is 12/12 patients. this has never happened before.

A total of 12 patients have completed treatment with dostarlimab and have undergone at least 6 months of follow-up. All 12 patients (100%; 95% confidence interval, 74 to 100) had a clinical complete response, with no evidence of tumor on magnetic resonance imaging, 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose–positron-emission tomography, endoscopic evaluation, digital rectal examination, or biopsy. At the time of this report, no patients had received chemoradiotherapy or undergone surgery, and no cases of progression or recurrence had been reported during follow-up (range, 6 to 25 months). No adverse events of grade 3 or higher have been reported.

    CONCLUSIONS
Mismatch repair–deficient, locally advanced rectal cancer was highly sensitive to single-agent PD-1 blockade. Longer follow-up is needed to assess the duration of response. (Funded by the Simon and Eve Colin Foundation and others; ClinicalTrials.gov number, NCT04165772. opens in new tab.)

    this is huge.

Without giving away personal information she is stable but in ICU. She lost all function on one side and most function on the other side. One eye is not moving.

    She can speak but unintelligible.

Because she has an arterial line inserted her blood pressure is monitored constantly and it spikes when something happens or is said to her she does not like. LOL it appears she does not like her hair being brushed!

Calo is still very much there inside. I have hope.

Technically she has 90+ % blocked carotid arteries, left and right. The only blood supply that keeps her alive is the basilar artery which she had surgery to open up.

Now the real anger starts. They want to give her a CAT scan but, no fucking contrast dye available. Google it. Made only in China…..

Tomorrow they will give her an MRA, yep I had to Google that, not an MRI.

Fingers crossed they can prevent any more damage. Then a very long road to rehab of some kind.

Anyway I hope she will not object to me letting you all know.

I will not be able to visit for many weeks. Unless I steal a nurse uniform and sneak in.

    @ Aussie Infidel:

Not sure if you’re familiar with the American series Person of Interest, but it revolved around a team of people who went out to try to save people who a secret AI had identified as being in danger. Starred Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson.

Anyway, when Emerson’s character, Harold Finch, designed the AI (always referred to as The Machine), he limited its ability to communicate and interact with the world. When it contacted the team about someone who needed to be saved, it just gave them a Social Security Number. No other information. They usually spent half the episode figuring out what they were supposed to be saving the person from, as a result.

There was finally an episode in one of the later seasons where the limitations on The Machine were explained. In a series of flashbacks, they showed Harold working on the original program, years earlier. Every iteration of the system ended up the same: It tried to kill him. He finally came to the conclusion that he was going to have to severely hobble its abilities, or else it would try to kill everyone and take over the world, much like SkyNet in the Terminator franchise.

In the big picture, they were for the most part relatively small-scale events. But with reports of so many fires at food production facilities, you can’t help but notice.

Coincidence? It could be. But it does get your attention.

On a related subject. In normal circumstances one person in a family takes care of some things that the other members of the family neither need to. or care or know how it happens.

    Example, a diabetic cat.

    Special food and insulin.

It was discovered the food comes from Chewy so that is taken care of.

Insulin every day? Well that has yet to be discovered, cat has a few days supply left….

Don’t know what – or how – to think about this. But it is intriguing

New sweeping crypto bill unveiled and it classifies most digital assets as commodities

A bipartisan Senate duo unveiled the widely anticipated sweeping crypto regulation on Tuesday. The bill provides some much-needed clarity for crypto markets and defines most digital assets as commodities, giving most of the oversight to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

Known as the Responsible Financial Innovation Act, the bill was introduced by Republican Senator Cynthia Lummis and Democratic Senator Kirsten Gillibrand.

After months of work with the House and Senate, this regulation is the first extensive bipartisan attempt to provide legal clarity to crypto markets. And it comes at a time when calls for more regulation intensified after the collapse of the stablecoin TerraUSD.

The biggest takeaway from the bill is that most cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, are defined as commodities, which fall under the purview of the CFTC and not the SEC (the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission).

More specifically, the legislation considers cryptocurrencies as “ancillary assets” and treats them as commodities.

According to the lawmakers, an “ancillary asset” is an “intangible, fungible asset that is offered, sold, or otherwise provided to a person in connection with the purchase and sale of a security through an arrangement or scheme that constitutes an investment contract.”

However, there are a few exceptions, which is when the Howey Test and the SEC oversight will come in.

Do you know how the primaries work in CA? They only have one. The top two candidates go on the ballot in November.

Most races end up with 2 Democrats running against each other in the general election, as a result. There won’t even be a Republican candidate.

BTW, that is not correct. If no candidate receives over 50% of the vote, then it goes to a run off election of the top two. It’s fukkt, but we have to deal with it for now.

That only applies to municipal elections. Statewide and federal offices have a general election in November, just like the rest of the country. They just happen to hold municipal elections at the same time as the primary for the other offices.

Shortly after the leak of the Dobbs opinion, Chief Justice Roberts proclaimed, “The work of the Court will not be affected in any way.” Perhaps Roberts thinks that by deviating from the normal course, the Court would be sending a signal that the leak did affect the Court’s business. If so, Roberts continues to live in a different reality than the rest of us. Justice Kavanaugh nearly faced an assassination attempt. A group bearing the name of Ruth Bader Ginsburg advertises nightly protests outside of his home. Similar protests are scheduled outside of the homes of other Justices. Their lives have been turned upside down. All of the other Justices are at similar risk. The way to ensure that the Court “will not be affected in any way” is to decide a case as soon as it is ready, and remove the threat that someone will try to deprive the majority of the fifth vote.

Why is there a delay? So Roberts can take yet another ill-fated attempt to pick off one or two votes? A real leader would have put aside his quixotical quest for balance. Every day that passes, as the Chief haggles over votes, a target remains on the backs of his colleagues.

The Dobbs 5 should immediately issue an unsigned per curiam order, with an opinion to follow, even over the Chief Justice’s objection. The Justices should send a clear and unequivocal message that they will not be intimidated by these acts of violence.

From the Congressional Report on Deep Fakes 3 June 2022

Deep fakes could, however, be used for nefarious purposes. State adversaries or politically motivated individuals could release falsified videos of elected officials or other public figures making incendiary comments or behaving inappropriately. Doing so could, in turn, erode public trust, negatively affect public discourse, or even sway an election. Indeed, the U.S. intelligence community concluded that Russia engaged in extensive influence operations during the 2016 presidential election to “undermine public faith in the U.S. democratic process, denigrate Secretary Clinton, and harm her electability and potential presidency.

    Potential Questions for Congress
    • Do the Department of Defense, the Department of State, and the intelligence community have adequate information about the state of foreign deep fake technology and the ways in which this technology may be used to harm U.S. national security?
    • How mature are DARPA’s efforts to develop automated deep fake detection tools? What are the limitations of DARPA’s approach, and are any additional efforts required to ensure that malicious deep fakes do not harm U.S. national security?
    • Are federal investments and coordination efforts, across defense and nondefense agencies and with the private sector, adequate to address research and development needs and national security concerns regarding deep fake technologies?
    • How should national security considerations with regard to deep fakes be balanced with free speech protections, artistic expression, and beneficial uses of the underlying technologies?
    • Should social media platforms be required to authenticate or label content? Should users be required to submit information about the provenance of content? What secondary effects could this have for social media platforms and the safety, security, and privacy of users?
    • To what extent and in what manner, if at all, should social media platforms and users be held accountable for the dissemination and impacts of malicious deep fake content?
    • What efforts, if any, should the U.S. government undertake to ensure that the public is educated about deep fakes?

    https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/7910/text?r=1&s=1

And that part about not being able to disassemble, clean or reassemble a gun without an FFL is just wrong.

It’s from a section of the bill pertaining to “ghost guns.” It says that you can’t “assemble” an untraceable gun from parts. That means creating a gun out of a collection of parts, not putting one that you already own back together.

People aged under the age of 40 being urged to go and get their hearts checked

Sophisticated software exists that can’t be detected by machine, let alone the naked eye. New stuff was released just weeks ago, but those are only the programs we know about.

How would we know otherwise, if it’s undetectable?

The whole thing seem like a new version of people claiming that their Twitter account was “hacked” when they get caught posting something unpopular.

Now they can just claim everything is a “deep fake.” And since nobody can tell the difference, how can they prove otherwise?

As Cheney files for reelection, poll from rival group shows her trailing badly

The survey, conducted by the Club for Growth, is consistent with other data out of Wyoming in the last year.

GOP Rep. Liz Cheney is down 30 points in a new survey of her August primary conducted by the Club for Growth, which is opposing the embattled incumbent.

The poll, which provides perhaps the starkest illustration yet of the political peril Cheney faces this year, shows Wyoming attorney Harriet Hageman garnering 56 percent of the vote to Cheney’s 26 percent in the GOP primary. A third Republican got 12 percent support, and just 6 percent are undecided.

Hageman was recruited and endorsed by former President Donald Trump in response to Cheney’s vote to impeach him last year alongside nine other House Republicans.

The race for Wyoming’s lone congressional district is one where the Club for Growth and Trump, who have quickly turned from allies to foils, are aligned, though the Club has not formally endorsed Hageman. The poll, shared first with POLITICO, was conducted this week by WPA Intelligence, a Republican firm, ahead of Friday’s candidate filing deadline.

Trump has taken intense interest in the race because Cheney has been such a prominent critic of his attempts to subvert the 2020 election results. After her impeachment vote, she became one of just two Republicans, along with Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), to sit on the commission investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riots that Speaker Nancy Pelosi created.

Kinzinger chose to retire rather than remain a stop on Trump’s 2022 midterm revenge campaign. Cheney, however, has said she plans to seek reelection — even if her odds look tough. And Trump will travel to Casper, Wyo. on Saturday to rally for Hageman, a trial lawyer who placed third in the GOP primary for governor in 2018.

The polling reinforces another piece of data the Club for Growth released a year ago, which showed that 52 percent of Wyoming GOP primary voters were planning to vote against Cheney regardless of who challenges her.

Yes we do have ‘A Person of Interest’ showing on TV here. Never got too much into it unfortunately mate.

The FDA approved “a” Pfizer vaccine, but not the one they’re actually producing. But that distinction wasn’t made clear in the news releases, so people were fooled into thinking that the vaccine was now approved and went ahead and got it (or they were fired for not getting it, now that they could no longer claim that it was “experimental”).

The reason they don’t plan to produce the approved vaccine is simple:

Unfortunately, any hope of accountability for this is a long shot right now. In addition to the treasonous Biden Regime holding the keys, Pfizer is completely exempt from damages related to its experimental mRNA vaccine thanks to its status under EUA. As Dr. Robert Malone – the inventor of mRNA technology – has said for months, if Pfizer doesn’t give out its ‘fully approved’ version, they keep the immunity, and, that’s exactly what they’ve done.

Spikes in Incurable Valley Fever Linked to Prolonged Drought Conditions

    https://www.theepochtimes.com/spikes-in-potentially-deadly-valley-fever-linked-to-prolonged-drought-conditions_4523229.html

The vast majority of the American West is struggling with enduring “mega drought” conditions some experts think will last until 2030 and that is creating perfect conditions for an incurable disease to spread.

A microscopic fungal organism in the soil called coccidioides is becoming more mainstream due to a rise in human infections resulting from airborne spores thrown aloft by winds in the arid terrain.

Coccidioides is a naturally occurring fungus found in the soils of Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Washington state, and Texas. When dust storms kick up spores into the air, people can inhale them and develop an infection known as coccidioidomycosis.

On the street, it goes by the name Valley Fever.
    .
    .

Reported cases in the United States increased 32 percent from 2016 to 2018, according to the CDC. The institute also estimates that at least 150,000 Valley Fever cases go undiagnosed yearly.

Health officials in Arizona noted a 23 percent increase in diagnoses in 2021 and confirmed more than 8,200 cases.

“There’s no cure for this disease. The treatments we have inhibit the fungus, but they don’t get rid of it,” Dr. John Galgiani told The Epoch Times.

    Quick update.

A friend of mine has been accepted to one of the finest rehab facilities in the Houston area.

Not to seem to be proud of medical facilities here but, Houston is one of he very top cities for medical care in the world.

Now the down side. To be in the very top facility in any medical specialty you have to have an excellent record of success.

How do they achieve such a high success rate?

They cherry pick patients that have a high potential for recovery.

Think Ivy League University. They have a very high pass rate because they only accept students that have a high probability of graduating.

Tonight Calo is in an Ivy League Rehab center………

“It’s really simple: ‘Be the fucking president!,” one Democratic strategist said, according to The Hill. “I realize it’s tough and you’re drinking out of a fire hose every single day, but there are things you can do to control the public perception and they haven’t done any of that.” Democrats have noted that the recent baby formula shortage is the latest example of how President Joe Biden failed to get ahead of a story, leading Republicans to grip the narrative, the outlet reported.

    https://dailycaller.com/2022/06/08/joe-biden-democrat-strategist-blunder-crisis/

Not even I, whose cynicism is nearly boundless, thought of this.

    First responders

The Isabella County Sheriff’s office in Michigan has already blown through its entire fuel budget for the year. To keep costs down, they plan to respond to some non-emergency calls by phone to try and resolve them.

    Building supplies – Hurricane season!

most homes and buildings in America have roofs made of asphalt-based products. Asphalt is a byproduct of the oil refining process.

Because I worked in the industry, I can attest that nearly all shingles and commercial roofing materials used domestically are produced regionally within the United States. The weight of the finished product makes shipping internationally, and even long distances domestically, too costly. Plants in the U.S. rely on receiving asphalt from domestic refineries, and the price of the product is closely correlated to the price of a barrel of oil. As American refineries reduce production and the price of oil rises, so will the cost of a bundle of shingles or a roll of commercial roofing.

The plant, which provides about 20% of US LNG processing, announced the shutdown late on Wednesday after appraising damage to the massive facility.

“The U.S. housing market is at the beginning stages of the most significant contraction in activity since 2006,” Len Kiefer, an economist with Freddie Mac, said in a Business Insider report.

Kiefer said this has not shown up in data yet but will surface over the summer.

“Purchase [applications are] down 40 percent from seasonally adjusted peak,” Kiefer said.

[Kiefer] added that during the coronavirus pandemic, mortgage applications also dramatically fell, but they picked back up shortly after. That situation is unlikely in the current state of the U.S. economy.

It largely boils down to the Federal Reserve raising interest rates to tame soaring inflation. As consumer prices surge, the Fed has deployed more aggressive monetary policy, lifting the benchmark interest rate to 0.5 percentage points last month in its first double-sized rate hike and is set for a series of similar-sized increases this year.

That, in turn, has subsequently priced out potential homebuyers, as higher home prices and escalating mortgage rates reduce buyer affordability. And with the U.S. economy predicted to enter a recession in the next year, and inflation at a forty-year high, American homeownership is likely to get harder.

Insider reported that the National Association of Realtors has said housing affordability fell a record 29 percent over the last year, which is the largest decline on record. And mortgage rates and housing prices continue to rise.

Insider also reported that in the week leading up to June, the Mortgage Bankers Association said that applications for house purchase fell at a 52 percent annualized rate when compared to the previous three months.

“Consumers’ expectations that their personal financial situations will worsen over the next year reached an all-time high in [a] May survey,” Doug Duncan, senior vice president and chief economist at Fannie Mae

    @ eaglesoars:
Wife and I are looking for a house currently. Selling ours. Houses are starting to sit longer, and some are reducing their asking prices. It’s a little stressful right now here. All the houses we have viewed have been no good for us. Typical prices for crap houses is between 500 and 600k in a small town.

    @ eaglesoars:
Completely different part of the state unfortunately. And the lady with the cats wouldn’t be able to afford a down payment on a home. She was living with her mom who lost her income as a foster parent because of drug possession.
