In PA, Fetterman refuses to debate Oz. Fetterman can barely speak after his stroke.

The federales have their sacrificial lamb and HR’d him out of the building.

AND…Dementia Joe is going to harangue us about American Values this week, LIVE on TV! (See Carter Malaise Speech)

Agree. They don’t even have to be honest about it. Just let it spin. Big push also in the Rino areas. Ann Coulter, Brit Hume, Ben Shapiro to imply Trump supporters are low class fanatics. Joe Rogan has also put that out. So they are listening to some common influencer I never listen to.

A good idea for Australia to use the technology it invented to manufacture dialable nukes from 10-200kT using fissile material mined in Oz and refined to weapons grade by a process invented in Oz and only shared with the US, because of proliferation fears. The days of hoping like hell that the US will keep its word vis a vie the nuclear umbrella are fast becoming passé.

The owner of a small coffee shop in the centre of Athlone was shocked when she opened her electricity bill this week and realised she had been charged almost €10,000 for just over two months of energy usage.

The cost of electricity to the Poppyfields cafe for 73 days from early June until the end of August came in at €9,024.70 an increase of 250 per cent in just 12 months. There doesn’t include the €812.22 in VAT, which brought her total bill to €9,836.92.

“Like the policies regarding communications with the White House, these policies ‘are designed to protect our criminal and civil law enforcement decisions, and our legal judgments, from partisan or other inappropriate influences, whether real or perceived, direct or indirect,’” Tuesday’s memo added.

In one section of the Justice Manual, it says that “repeated requests for public information from the same Member of Congress or staff, or from different Members of Congress or staff concerning the same matter or case, should be promptly reported to OLA. If you are unsure if certain information should be released, or whether it is proper to give certain assistance requested, please contact OLA.”

. Europe is facing economic devastation and depression at a scale that will make 2008 seems like a walk in the park.

As the FT reports, German manufacturers are halting production in response to the surge in energy prices, a trend the government has described as “alarming”. German economy minister Robert Habeck said industry had worked hard to reduce its gas consumption in recent months, partly by switching to alternative fuels like oil, making its processes more efficient and reducing output. But he amusingly clarified, some companies had also “stopped production altogether” — a development he said was “alarming”.

“It’s not good news,” he said, “because it can mean that the industries in question aren’t just being restructured but are experiencing a rupture — a structural rupture, one that is happening under enormous pressure.”

Habeck said rising gas prices were affecting everyone from big industrial companies to small trading firms and the medium-sized enterprises that make up the “Mittelstand”. “Wherever energy is an important part of the business model, companies are experiencing sheer angst,” he said. And since energy is a crucial part of every business model, one can only imagine the chaos, fear and loathing hammering the largest European economy right now.

Confirming that Trump was right all along, the German minister said the business model of large parts of German manufacturing was based on the abundance of gas from Russia that was cheaper than gas from other regions. That competitive advantage “won’t come back any time soon, if it ever comes back at all”, Habeck said.

Way back during the development of Blue Streak at Woomera in SA, the UK had the ultimate doomsday machine. It was called Vulcan, crewed by 5 and accidentally a true stealth aircraft before the US even thought about stealth. I flew with a former Vulcan skipper. He commanded a Vulcan bomber armed with two 1.87 Megaton city killers. Vulcans even penetrated the US defences on exercises and theoretically bomber both NYC and Washington DC, ………TWICE !

The first time every USAF radar and interceptor on the East coast tried to shoot the Vulcan down but the flight of three, two jammers and one weapon carrier fought their way mast the US radar thicket and reached their targets and theoretically obliterated the primary and secondary targets.

The USAF demanded a rematch so another three aircraft Vulcan flight did it again. This time they split their jammers, one from the north and one from the South flying out of the Caribbean with the weapon carrier. The Northern jammer theoretically got shot down but the Southern pair fought their way past the radar thicket and AGAIN reached BOTH primary and secondary targets, but this time in reverse order. They got DC first then went on to destroy NYC.

The whole thing was quickly swept under the rug and the US defences were ‘reorganised’ … AGAIN!

    🙂

    True story!

Just be a little ‘careful’ having anything to do with this guy. As far as the Federal Government in OZ and the Defence Dept in particular is concerned there is the first ‘caution’. The individual States in Oz were responsible for the inoculations for Covid and NOT the Federal Government as individual States are responsible for Health within their States. The reference to ‘poisons’ what this guy seems hung up on has been in Federal Legislation forever and is not a recent addition. Many medicines are in fact also poisonous to one level or another and the Federal Legislation uses this nomenclature broadly to cover all medicines and their side effects. This guy is using a medical term in the broadest sense as a hook to stir up the locals. Beware that he has form like this in the past.

As far as Western Australia is concerned the local State Premier is a total socialist tosser and a authoritarian scumbag of the first water. He had run down and grossly underfunded Western Australia’s Health infrastructure to the extent that the Australian Defence Forces(ADF) had to step in and assign their medics to give Covid shots because the WA Health system was in collapse. The ADF were dragooned by the Prime Minister (also a RINO type) to help in securing hotels in which Covid infectious cases were housed during their isolation fortnight. The ADF hated this task and many ADF personnel have resigned after this masses misuse of their forces by the Federal Government.

This guy and his website is either a stalking horse to ID like minder people or more likely he’s just a ‘nutter’ who lover interviewing his own keyboard.

Pete R the Vulcan skipper had his orders during the Cold War. Fight your way past the Russian Radar thicket and AAA nests and obliterate the primary target with the #1 H Bomb. Then fly on to the secondary target and obliterate that as well with your #2 H bomb. Then fly back through the AAA nests and Radar thicket to the UK and try to land at the huge glowing hole in the ground that used to be your Base.

Pete’s plan was to deliver BOTh his H Bombs and then keep flying East until the Vulcan ran out of fuel. Eject and woo a nice Mongolian lady and have a dozen kids in her Yurt!

    So this is going well…..

According to the Investigative Committee’s report, at about 8 p.m. on June 19, Igor Yakubinsky, Sergei Privalov and D.A. Borodin, three officers attached to the sub-division Military Task Force No. 9 of the FSB entered the Food Fuel cafe on Ushakova Avenue when they discovered two contract soldiers, Sgt. Sergei Obukhov and Junior Sgt. Igor Sudin “idly spending time, consuming alcoholic drinks,” according to the Investigative Committee documents.

The FSB officers remonstrated with the enlisted men for drinking while in uniform. Obukhov responded by removing his sidearm and firing rounds into the floor, the report stated. Privalov tried to grab the gun, whereupon Sudin started spraying the security servicemen with rounds from his AK-74 assault rifle, as Privalov and Yakubinsky returned fire.

Obukhov, Privalov and Yakubinsky “died on the spot,”

The state of play yesterday to the West of Kherson in the South of the Ukraine. For some reason the MSM keeps touting this minor battle as the ‘Battle of the Bulge 2.0’ … which it ain’t! With the best part of a Russian Division dug in West of Kherson there is no way that a Mechanised Ukie Brigade is going to winkle them out of their positions that took them 3 weeks of solid fighting to capture.
For reasons known only to the Ukie Mech Brigade he didn’t concentrate his forces to gain the required 3-4 to one superiority over defending forces. To compound his mistakes he looks as if he used his Battalion+ of armour, independent of his mechanised infantry. Out of the 40-50 tanks he had including some Polish manufactured / modified T-90s they appear to have been slowed down by entrenched defences with anti-tank systems. Instead of pulling back out of range of Russian artillery he ‘dithered’ and lose the vast majority of his armour. The Russians claim 40 tanks destroyed but that is probably just feel good propaganda. Even so the Commander made a serious error. The 3-4 small villages captured by Mech infantry earlier in the day had to be evacuated as the artillery and rocket forces began concentrating on the two mech Battalions of infantry.

This suggests that after a foray into the Russian defensive positions and after losing most of his armour as well as 2x Su Forefoot Ground Attack fighters ( his only available air assets) he is back where he started yesterday morning.

From Western sources none of that has even been alluded to! The MSM are delusional and are still calling this minor Ukie counter offensive in terms of ‘Battle of the Bulge 2.0 terms!’

Here is a fairly balanced tactical commentary that takes feeds from both sides as well as independent feeds and comes to a rational conclusion. They commentator is obviously a Ukie but he seems to be giving a pretty balanced tactical briefing on day one of what looks like a very minor counter offensive by the Ukies.

Actually the Ukie 60th Brigade is just motorised and NOT mechanised. They include a Tank Battalion+ and I sum that it is that armoured formation that was attritted by Russian Anti-tank and then destroyed or severely mauled by Russian artillery and rocket forces.

Given that Russian forces are now well dug in to the East of the River Bug, a mere motorised (truck mounted and NOT under armour) Brigade is a minimal force to stage anything except minor attacks on dug in Russian battalion positions.

Having lost his minimal air support to Russian AAA forces yesterday, the Russian artillery must be feeling more comfortable now. Now if some US supplied HIMARS should turn up suddenly, then that would be a Russian Artillery Commanders worst nightmare. That the Ukie Commander hasn’t surpassed the Russian gunners with HIMARS by now means that there is probably none available at the moment in his tactical area.

The United States’ strategic oil reserves fell to a 37-year low as President Joe Biden continues to release millions of barrels of oil and put them up for sale, with most going overseas.

According to the latest report from the Department of Energy, the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) fell to 453.1 million barrels as of Aug. 19. This is the lowest level the SPR has been since Jan. 1985.

Stockpiles have fallen by more than 180 million barrels this year as the Biden administration ordered the release of record amounts of crude oil, supposedly to cool sky-high inflation and rising gasoline prices. (Related: Biden and the globalists will destroy the oil industry and collapse the American energy grid.)

The massive sell-off began in March, when Biden announced that the U.S. would release one million barrels of oil a day for six months as energy prices soared following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

By early July, around 125 million barrels were already sold off. The White House then announced that the country would release another 20 million barrels in August, with around 18 million having already been released.

A commercial fire burned a poultry business in Montebello Sunday afternoon.

QC Poultry at 1111 W. Olympic Blvd. sustained building damage, and several commercial vehicles may also have been burned, a spokesperson for the city of Montebello said.

Footage from the scene shows burn damage near the building’s windows and doors, as well as at least one unit from the Monterey Park Fire Department present to assist.

The fire was located in a heavily industrial area and no residential properties were threatened, though the blaze was adjacent to the Montebello Bus Lines service facility and bus yard.

Traffic was rerouted from Olympic Boulevard and Greenwood Avenue.

    The fire’s cause is unknown.

The Epoch Times is what the NYT thinks it is

Here’s California Flooring It to the ‘Clean’ Energy Future—With Its Transmission Slipping Badly

CALIFORNIA CITY—California’s precariously out-of-date hybrid power grid can’t handle the state’s growing amounts of solar and wind energy coming online, with system managers already forcing repeated cutbacks in renewables and a continued reliance on conventional energy to keep the grid stable, according to state data.

The shortcomings of the transmission grid, which energy consultants in this bellwether state have warned about for years, raise the prospect that marquee products of the growing battery economy such as electric vehicles—“emission free” on the road—will be recharged mainly from traditional electricity-generating power plants: energy from fossil fuels, some of it from out of state.

Writ large, the transmission problem threatens the zero-carbon future envisioned by green advocates nationwide. “We’re headed toward duplicate systems whose only benefit is to permit the occasional use of ‘clean power,’” said Grant Ellis, an independent electrical engineering consultant in Texas.

Over 50 Biden Administration Employees, 12 US Agencies Involved in Social Media Censorship Push: Documents

Over 50 officials in President Joe Biden’s administration across a dozen agencies have been involved with efforts to pressure Big Tech companies to crack down on alleged misinformation, according to documents released on Aug. 31.

Senior officials in the U.S. government, including White House lawyer Dana Remus, deputy assistant to the president Rob Flaherty, and onetime White House senior COVID-19 adviser Andy Slavitt, have been in touch with one or more major social media companies to try to get the companies to tighten rules on allegedly false and misleading information on COVID-19, and take action against users who violate the rules, the documents show.

In July 2021, for instance, after Biden said that Facebook was “killing people” by not combating misinformation effectively, an executive at Meta reached out to Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, a Biden appointee, to say that government and Meta teams met after the remarks “to better understand the scope of what the White House expects from us on misinformation going forward.”

The same executive later wrote to Murthy saying, “I wanted to make sure you saw the steps we took just this past week to adjust policies on what we are removing with respect to misinformation, as well as steps taken to further address the ‘disinfo dozen,’” including removing pages linked to the group.

The White House publicly pressured social media companies to take action against a group officials dubbed the “disinformation dozen,” which a nonprofit claimed were producing the bulk of “anti-vaccine misinformation” on the platforms. Also in July 2021, Murthy said Facebook had not done enough to combat misinformation.

Rob Flaherty, director of digital strategy for the White House, told Slavitt and others in April 2021 that White House staff would be briefed by Twitter “on vaccine misinfo,” with the meeting including “ways the White House (and our COVID experts) can partner in product work,” according to one of the messages.

In another exchange that year, a Department of Treasury official working on “mis, dis, and mal-information” told Meta workers that the deputy treasury secretary wanted to talk about “potential influence operations.”

In a text in February 2021, meanwhile, U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Director Jen Easterly, wrote to another agency official that she was “trying to get us in a place where Fed can work with platforms to better understand the mis/dis trends so relevant agencies can try to prebunk/debunk as useful.”

The documents were part of a preliminary production in a lawsuit levied against the government by the attorneys general of Missouri and Louisiana, later joined by experts maligned by federal officials.

“If there was ever any doubt the federal government was behind censorship of Americans who dared to dissent from official Covid messaging, that doubt has been erased,” Jenin Younes, a lawyer with the New Civil Liberties Alliance who is representing some of the plaintiffs in the case, said in a statement. “The shocking extent of the government’s involvement in silencing Americans, through coercing social-media companies, has now been revealed.”

What a total crock of shit. This plonker is effectively chanting the mantra…. I reject your reality and insert my own.

Innoculating oneself against falsehood is pretty easy.
#1 Assume that everything you see or hear is a lie that is trying to influence your choices.
#2 ALWAYS ensure you get several differing opinions on a topic and once you settle on the most likely truth STAY ON GUARD and continuing questioning your assumptions.
#3 Don’t EVER ‘Situate an Appreciation’ That is always be aware of your own prejudices and opinions and try to be OBJECTIVE… I know it’s easier said than done …. But always be aware of your own inherent
    weaknesses
#4 always approach your opinion making process from a secure base. KNOW your basic basement belief system, that has been tried and true. Your ‘Base DOCTRINE’ by which you gauge your life, and if something doesn’t fit then seriously question it, as you have to be able to live with yourself and your moral compass regardless of what is transpiring around you. You’ve got to be able to live with yourself!
#5 Assume that everyone is lying to one extent or another when they try to influence you. Even your friends. ESPECIALLY your friends. Exaggeration covers a multitude of sins!
#6 When you identify a liar , expose them. It’s your duty to do that at a minimum, for the sake of others who may not have the ability or moral strength to resist the siren call of ‘mob certitude’ and group compliance.
#7 Mostly a large group makes mostly logical decisions that advantage them as a group. EXCEPT when high emotion is involved. When you see heightened emotion assume that the group has become a mob and a mob is a dangerous thing to behold. It’s easily manipulated and is capable of terrifying wickedness that individuals would never countenance alone.
#8 try to train yourself to be OBJECTIVE. It’s often a very lonely place but someone needs to at least try!
#9 Never take yourself too seriously. Remember that in 3 generations you’ll be dust and pretty much forgotten.
#10 Believe in a HIGHER ENTITY to which you will be held responsible for your actions. This has been hardwired in human consciousness and without that you will forever be an ’empty vessel’ looking for fulfilment. Get Happy 🙂

The Real Inconvenient Truth: Arctic Sea Ice Has Grown Since 2012

    How TERRIBLY INCONVENIENT ? 🙂

Global warming paused, polar bears thriving, more coral on the Great Barrier Reef than you can shake a stick at – it’s been a difficult gig for climate alarmists of late.

But there is always the melting Arctic ice, and the prospect of the Greenland ice sheet slipping off its perch and ending up in your front room. Alas, even that old standby is looking shaky, with evidence gathering that the ice is no longer melting as fast as in the recent past. On August 16th, summer sea ice in the Arctic was at its third highest extent since 2007.

According to the U.S.-based National Snow and Ice Data Centre (NSIDC), the northern sea route along Eurasia “may not become ice free” this year for the first time since 2007. Preliminary estimates by NSIDC suggest a 30% chance that sea ice will cover five million square kilometres, something that has not happened for eight years.

The cooling trend has been apparent for some time. Earlier this year, the Daily Sceptic reported that the coverage of Arctic sea ice was now very close to the 1991-2020 average, well above the 2012 low point and higher in 2021 than the previous year. According to Copernicus, the EU’s weather service, the 2021 March sea ice extent was just 3% below the 30-year average. March is the maximum extent of sea ice in the Arctic. Recent figures show March 2022 was slightly higher. In his recent Global Warming Policy Foundation climate report, Emeritus Professor Ole Humlum noted: “The trend towards stable or higher ice extent at both poles probably began in 2018 and has since strengthened.” Observational records of Arctic ice go back to the start of the 1800s, and display moving cycles of both temperature and ice extent.

As if on cue – how much longer can we run this stuff? – the MSM ran stories about the Greenland ice sheet melting and causing major sea level rises. Research published in Nature Climate Change journal was said to have shown that “global heating to date” will cause sea levels to rise by 27 cms, as a claimed 110 trillion tonnes of ice will melt. Extra helpings of alarmism were also available. Cherry-picking the one-off record melt year of 2012, and assuming it will become a “regular occurrence”, delivers a “staggering” 78 cms sea level rise. And as if this was not enough, the Guardianalso reported that “other scientists” had warned that a significant part of the Greenland ice sheet “was on the brink of a tipping point”.

Back on Planet Sanity, the U.S. meteorologist Anthony Watts noted that the claims of Greenland ice melt raising sea levels “are just modelled hokum”. The assertion that sea levels would rise by 27 cms was “false and easily disproven”. In his view, it is the “same old scare story” we were told by the UN in 1989, in which a senior UN environmental official warned that entire nations could be wiped off the face of the earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend wasn’t reversed by 2000.

Watts notes that there is no time frame for the 27 cm of claimed rise (although the authors of the paper suggest it could happen between now and 2100). How can peer reviewed climate science be so imprecise? He notes that 110 trillion tonnes is ”scary” for most people, but when actual recent ice loss is compared to the full Greenland ice sheet, the loss is said to be so small “that it is almost undetectable”.

This is interesting. I wonder how many people are aware of this?

The California Independent System Operator advised residents on Wednesday and Thursday to set their thermostats at 78 degrees or higher, refrain from using large appliances, and avoid charging electric vehicles during peak hours. The request follows new regulatory standards from the California Air Resources Board requiring 35% of new vehicles to produce zero emissions by 2026 — a benchmark that will rise to 68% by 2030 and 100% by 2035. The legislatures of Massachusetts, Washington, and Virginia have passed laws binding their states to standards approved by the entity.

How does a state legislature commit the state to following standards set by unelected bureaucrats in a different state?

I’m pretty sure that she and I differ on what we believe the “core values of our country” are.

    Here’s one from ‘Mike Kozlowski’

One thing I’ve heard from a couple of sources – I grew up not far from Oberlin, still have a lot of friends/family in the area – is that Oberlin is in a jam: the bond is paid for and covers the judgement, so the only question now is when it gets handed to the Gibsons. On the other hand, I’m told that a LOT of high-rolling people who keep that endowment filled up have cut off any more donations, and between the lousy economy and a ‘surprise’ drop in enrollment, Oberlin might have to start tapping that endowment.

When I was in govt we couldn’t charge more than the cost of toner and ream of paper when producing documents for the public. Maps were a little more expoensive. But we ALWAYS had an employee who wanted to make a mint of of selling to the public. They had to be restrained.

We also had employees who wanted to obscure the request for documents by flooding the requestor with docs not related. Or the politician who want to cut out content that by technicality. If you didn’t make your request during normal business hours in the appropriate manner then it was ignored until you brought a lawyer.

Lots of tricks in the trade of releasing govt info. Another one would be dropping a do not release column into a database and declaring all the rows with the column in it as not releasable. The cost to get that data was actually a few pennies but in reality cost $1,000’s of dollars and months of time to get it.

“MAGA Republicans have made their choice. They embrace anger. They thrive on chaos. They live not in the light of truth but in the shadow lies together,” Biden said of the 50% of Americans who did not vote for him.

    ——-

“The MAGA Republicans are… destroying American democracy,” he continued. “There are dangers around us. We cannot allow them to prevail… I want to say this plain and simple. There is no place for political violence. In America period. Not ever.” Of course, there was no mention of Antifa or BLM rioters who have rioted and destroyed city after American city in the last few years.

Joe Biden Crosses Lines in Grotesque National Address, Heckler Spoils His Party

    https://redstate.com/bonchie/2022/09/01/joe-biden-crosses-lines-in-grotesque-national-address-heckler-spoils-his-party-n621397

I’ve seen a lot of national addresses from US presidents over the years, as I’m sure many of you reading this have. I have never seen a speech like this, given under these circumstances. Presidents deliver campaign speeches, but they don’t call national addresses under the guise of their office to do so, and Biden’s attacks on tens of millions of Americans are unprecedented. You’d have to go back to Hillary Clinton’s “basket of deplorables” quip to find something similar in politics, but that was quaint compared to the president’s remarks.

There was one enjoyable part of the speech, though. A heckler decided to become a legend by spoiling Biden’s party.

President Biden tonight gave the speech of a dictator, in the style of a dictator, in the visual of a dictator, using the words of a dictator.

This was his enemies of the state speech. And like every other radical, Marxist, tyrant, he accused his opponents of being fascist while he engages in oppressive authoritarian behavior.

He’s the one who’s forcing Americans against their will to take a vaccine.

He is the one who has violated our nation’s Constitution to open our borders.

He’s the one whose government raided the home of his chief political opponent. in a fashion that violates the entire constitutional order because President Trump has the absolute right to decide what is or isn’t in the national security interest when he leaves the White House.

Of course we didn’t Iran is one of Sloppy Joe’s best buddies. He’s still trying to find ways to give them a ton of money to develop weapons to destroy Israel. I’m more surprised that orders didn’t come down from aboce to let them have the USV.

Barr and McConell getting on board with the Garland DoJ. The traditions of the Hallowed Halls they walk in are more important to them than the spirit and integrity of the founding fathers. They all think they know better. No doubt bad words at time behind his back.

this ridiculousness is perfectly summed up by an incident on my drive home.

    i nearly hit an ostrich.

yep. ostrich. he was standing in the middle of the road (rural) and i was in my miata having a lovely after-shift aj fernandez san latano oval.

so i stopped and asked him why he was standing the the road, he squawked at me in calm ostrich style and eventually sauntered off in the direction of this farm that has a menagerie of animals. the conversation lasted a good minute or two.

the people who pulled up in the other lane had a great laugh and now my ostrich friend and I probably trending on youtube.

    yep, an ostrich.

Rationing began on 8th January 1940 when bacon, butter and sugar were rationed. By 1942 many other foodstuffs, including meat, milk, cheese, eggs and cooking fat were also ‘on the ration’.

This is a typical weekly food ration for an adult:

    Bacon & Ham 4 oz
Other meat value of 1 shilling and 2 pence (equivalent to 2 chops)
    Butter 2 oz
    Cheese 2 oz
    Margarine 4 oz
    Cooking fat 4 oz
    Milk 3 pints
    Sugar 8 oz

Rationing continued even after the end of World War II; indeed, when the Queen came to the throne in 1952, sugar, butter, cheese, margarine, cooking fat, bacon, meat and tea were all still rationed. Rationing did not actually finish until 1954, with sugar rationing ending in 1953 and meat rationing in 1954.

The USA in the late 1950s used the UK as a base to attack the USSR with ballistic missiles.

The US did not have the capability at that time for intercontinental missiles.

So they based their short range missiles in the UK.

Making the UK a prime target for USSR attacks.

And so the Victor, Valiant and Vulcan bomber aircraft were born.

USA missiles based in the UK.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PGM-17_Thor

The PGM-17A Thor was the first operational ballistic missile of the United States Air Force (USAF). Named after the Norse god of thunder, it was deployed in the United Kingdom between 1959 and September 1963 as an intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM) with thermonuclear warheads. Thor was 65 feet (20 m) in height and 8 feet (2.4 m) in diameter. It was later augmented in the U.S. IRBM arsenal by the Jupiter.
