NCAAA Football Week 14 2022. Championship Week OPEN

by coldwarrior ( 196 Comments › )
Filed under College Football, Friday Cigar, Open thread at December 2nd, 2022 - 10:55 pm

Written from the deck whilst (yes, I said whilst) smoking a brisket and an Opus X:

Well, i’m back down to $1000/1000. If this were real money, I would have quit at being +600., as I said.

But, this aint real money and it is Championship Week.

I am smoking a Fuente Opus X. Insane expensive, I didn’t buy it, it was gifted by an MD I work with.  I helped him through his rotation in the ER (a rare resident MD who actually asked the RNs questions, more on that later). Tabacalera A. Fuente make some insane excellent cigars. This one is just…It might be the best cigar that I have ever had.

10 minutes later…yep. Good God. Ok, I get it.

Lets mess with some ball:

At the time of writing, USC is losing the PACwhatever to Utah.   This kills any chance of a team in west making it to the playoffs. Keep playing fagbollsoccer westies! Participation trophies to all yins. Like i said at the beginning of the year, the PAC? is gonna be over rated again…Oregon…just like every year. I remember the days where the UCLA v USC game was the gateway to Rose Bowl, and glory heaped upon the victors by Keith Jackson aka Plini the Elder).

It’s desolate in the football west. Sad hunks of metal of what were proud, dominating football machines are meandering in mediocrity and can’t quite get their footing, any footing, something. It’s a sad as hell day when USC or UCLA aren’t part of the End Of Year ‘Who’s the best?’

So who is the best? After what M just did to ohIo….go dot an i osu. I can’t say that I was upset by this because, to be really honest,  the only people who I know who are more obnoxious and single minded than PSU fans are the Ohio State faithful. I’m a PITT guy and live half way between the two nut farms. O or M….well, I know folks who graduated from both. BUT…my great uncle was M Law…so that trumps it. Now, M has to get on the horse. They will most likely have to play SEC…GEORGIA if they get that far.

There are no participation trophies today, who gets to the playoffs is done after tonight:

9-3 Utah just crushed 11-1 USC at the time of writing, maybe USC makes the playoffs as the sad gimp from the hinterland. Probably not.

None of the Championship games matter this year because the big divisions got so big so fast the they cut them up in to two, east west, north south… Watch these inter-divisions go away after this abysmal showing.

Michigan and Ohio State are in the same group of the Big10…M gets to play some team from another group…Perdue, i think, to win the big 10. Maybe M and OSU might have to play twice, throw PSU in there…Purdue??? Purdue.

Same thing in the other groups. I can see where this divisions in leagues goes away real fast.

This is the worst Championship Saturday that I have ever seen and I have no interest in any of the games. Let’s look:

  @  3 TCU
12:00 PM

Blowout

Woops…..the line is 1.5 against the frogs? TCU covers x$600!!!

14 LSU
  @  1 Georgia
4:00 PM

18 points? this is supposed to be AN SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!!!

bite me

EFFF OFFF.

  @  2 Michigan
8:00 PM

8-4 Boilermakers V 12-0 Michigan for the Big 10 Championship??? the line is 17. so what.

There are other games, but what matters is the playoff picture.

Georgia, Michigan…and the also rans. I must admit, I do love watching Ohio State implode over and over again.

Maybe recruit some better people with a modicum character instead of fast hood rats. Woody Hayes would have done this differently.

College football is a wonderful thing, a day out supporting my Beloved Panthers as an undergraduate, graduate, and then as a dad with my kids and wife (also a grad) is something special. It’s the Alma Mater, the comradery, and the knowledge in your heart  that those people from that other school are under educated neanderthal scum! But I digress, It’s OK that there is almost zero interest in my college football rantings here. Yinz put up with me. And that makes this all worth it.

Had a good experience today. I’ve been concerned about going to a legalized THC place because most of them are run like head shops, but heard about a different kind of shop today. Stopped by and the place was very nicely set up and organized. Talked to the woman there about my issues and the fact I didn’t want a high and had concerns about the VA, but needed a pain killer for my headaches and other issues. She actually directed me AWAY from the Delta 8 products saying that they probably wouldn’t meet my needs and instead recommended a higher dose full spectrum CBD edible. (I had told her that so far only one CBD product had any effect on me). So now I’m sitting here feeling a lot more relieved from my migraine without the unpleasant side effects of my prescription.

If more of the “pot” shops were like this place a lot of the negative stigma people like me have toward them would go away. Unfortunately, 99% of all of the shops in town are more like head shops than a professionaly business. (But then again one of our chain tobacco shops is filled with glass pipes so even that kind of shop can get kind of sleazy looking.)

    I love this stuff

Medieval Cistercian farm unearthed in northern England

    https://aleteia.org/2022/12/01/medieval-cistercian-farm-unearthed-in-northern-england/

Anew archaeological excavation is taking place in northern England. Near the town of Helmsley, within the North York Moors National Park, a high-status medieval farm that was managed by the Cistercian Rievaulx Abbey is being unearthed. According to the article published by Medievalists.net, the finds include rosary beads, pottery and glazed tiles.

Rievaulx was founded in 1132 by 12 monks from Clairvaux Abbey in France (St. Bernard’s own foundation). It soonbecame one of the greatest British abbeys: At its peak, 650 people actively lived and worked there, including monks, direct and indirect employees and other officials associated with the maintenance of monastic activities, including the farm.

Yeah, I can still feel it in the background but it’s not crippling me. Only problem is it’s 15 bucks for 10 gummies and I have to take two. So I only have five doses. Might have to see if there’s somewhere I can get more for less.

What’s missing from the Twitter files: The truth about the FBI

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/opinion/what-s-missing-from-the-twitter-files-the-truth-about-the-fbi/ar-AA14QY8G

Elon Musk half-delivered on his promise to tell all about Twitter’s censorship of The New York Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story before the 2020 election. What was missing were details of specific warnings we know the FBI made to Twitter about a Russian “hack and leak operation” involving Hunter during their weekly meetings with top executives of the social media giant in the days and weeks before The Post published its exclusive bombshell.

We know that FBI Supervisory Special Agent Elvis Chan testified Tuesday in a lawsuit against the Biden administration brought by Republican attorneys that he organized those weekly meetings with Twitter and Facebook in San Francisco for as many as seven Washington-based FBI agents in the run-up to the 2020 presidential election.

Twitter’s then-head of Site Integrity Yoel Roth has stated in a sworn declaration that he was told during those meetings to expect “hack-and-leak operations” by state actors involving Hunter Biden.

I’m posting this to help highlight Yoel Roth, one of the most malign personalities I have ever encountered. Big on trans humanism.

I don’t know what it is with people of high IQs. [full disclosure: I was married to one]. Not all, but so many are of the ilk that they are the Chosen of a God they think they replace to engineer human life and society.

I’m glad I’m old. This fight won’t be mine for long.

Ok I’m a little shocked. I found a nice pair of snow boots at rescue mission. They were in the womens section but I didn’t really care, I liked the way they looked and fit and they were brand new. Looked them up online. Unisex and they sell for 170 bucks. WTF. Seriously, who donates boots that expensive in brand new condition. I will be wearing the hell out of these this winter.

I am watching with amusement the ongoing hagiography of Elon Musk over his supposed ‘rescue’ of free speech/twitter.

Not to disparage what he may possibly be doing (I’m in wait/see mode) – does anybody ‘get’ that this guy is just as much in bed with the ChiComs as Tim Cook? He’s opened a Tesla factory in China, Tim Cook has had an Apple factory there for years. China is famous for slave labor. And nobody does anything in that country without being in bed with the CCP

There are dots to be connected and nobody is connecting them……

I haven’t been following the Oath Keepers’ story with regards to Jan 6 “trials”, but there’s this:

Jessica Watkins, a transgender Oath Keepers member from Ohio, was heard on an encrypted audio channel bragging about “sticking to the plan” before she and others entered the building. But far from acting as “insurrectionists” or terrorists, Oath Keepers viewed themselves as “backups” for law enforcement, available in case Antifa or Black Lives Matter rioters caused trouble as they had for months in Washington during the second half of 2020.

Salena Zito, always a great read

MONONGAHELA, Pa. — As you climb out of the valley in this riverfront town, the railroad tracks and patchwork of industries become a distant memory as lush woodlands overtake the roadways. Suddenly they give way to a stone villa tucked into the hillside, surrounded by a clearing filled with acres and acres of grapevines. It looks like a postcard from Tuscany.

Welcome to Ripepi Winery and Vineyard, a sprawling family operation that began as a way for Rich Ripepi to remain connected to the traditions of winemaking brought here from Italy by his grandfather. It has become an award-winning winery located right here in Appalachia.

Farmers in Germany have been banned from properly fertilizing large areas of their land under strict EU rules pushing the green agenda.

The use of nitrate fertilizers has been further restricted for large swathes of farmland in North Rhine-Westphalia, which is now likely to drastically reduce yields.

Although German authorities have implemented the ban, it is ultimately at the behest of the European Union, which is seeking to reduce the amount of nitrogen to tackle ‘climate change.’

The policy has already wreaked havoc in the Netherlands.

Richmond Restaurant Denies Pro-Life, Pro-Family Group Dinner Service Over Christian Values

About an hour and a half before the event, the owners called to cancel our reservation. An employee had looked up our organization, and their wait staff refused to serve us.

The Family Foundation of Virginia is the largest and oldest pro-family advocacy organization in Virginia. Our team and supporters were denied a meal for our beliefs when Metzger’s Bar and Butchery in Richmond, Virginia, refused to service our pre-reserved event, leaving us scrambling just moments before.

For weeks, we had planned a gathering in a private room to fellowship and update supporters on our work. About an hour and a half before the event was set to take place, one of the restaurant’s owners called our team to cancel. An employee had looked up our organization, and their wait staff refused to serve us.

Their official explanation was that our pro-life and pro-traditional-marriage positions violated the “basic human rights” of women and LGBT individuals.

    Here we go again:

Gillibrand calls upon feds to implement advisory for financial institutions to report suspicious gun purchases

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand urged Sunday that the DOJ and the Treasury Department swiftly implement newly approved methods of tracking mass shooters and gun traffickers.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand urged the federal Justice and Treasury Departments on Sunday to swiftly implement newly approved methods of tracking mass shooters and gun traffickers.

In September, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) approved merchant category codes (MCC) in order to help keep a close watch on those making large-scale purchases of firearms and ammunition. These four-digit numbers are the same merchant codes that are used in grocery stores, nail salons and other businesses — but up until recently gun retailers were able to operate without these codes, making it impossible to know when an individual made a bulk purchase of deadly weapons.

Believing that lives are on the line, Gillibrand joined President and Chief Executive Officer of Amalgamated Bank Priscilla Sims Brown and Five Mualimm-ak Director of Programs at Life Camp Incorporated in Foley Square on Dec. 4 to call upon the Treasury and the DOJ to publish an advisory and establish a policy framework to help in the implementation of the new MCCs.

Gillibrand is requesting a set of guidelines for financial institutions, law enforcement and retailors to utilize in reporting suspicious firearm purchases that could lead to gun trafficking.

“It’s been nearly impossible for banks to determine whether a large, unusual charge on your credit card is for a set of golf clubs or for a gun. That’s simply outrageous and revising the merchant category code assigned to gun stores will give banks the ability to track and identify these purchases,” Gillibrand said. “Now that we have these important steps in progress. I’m writing to the Department of Treasury and the Department of Justice requesting that they facilitate the immediate calling for publication of advisory that lays out how to report suspicious activity related to firearm purchases and its role in gun violence.”

While it’s been established that financial institutions would normally have to submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the government when they believe purchases have been made to commit terrorism, human trafficking, and fraud; there is currently no policy in place for financial institutions and law enforcement to report suspicious mass purchases at gun and ammunition stores.

Gillibrand declared that the codes will not be used to judge firearm enthusiasts, hunters, and or collectors but instead those who make random and unusually large purchases with credit cards.

Much better, thank you. She slept thru the night last night and the open sores have developed healing scabs. She’s scratching only very occasionally and when she does the vet ok’d application of topical cortisone cream, which I have as part of the household arsenal.

No more dogs. I’m way to old for this kind of stress. I slept most of the day.

Is the Medicare Flex Card Legitimate? | HelpAdvisor.com

If you’ve been watching TV or scrolling social media, you may have noticed advertisements for Medicare flex cards. Many ads claim that a flex card can give you more than $2,800 to spend on whatever you like.

It sounds too good to be true — and in some cases, it may be. There are some Medicare Advantage (Part C) insurance companies, however, who offer legitimate Medicare flex cards as a benefit of some Medicare Advantage plans.

Medicare flex cards aren’t universally available, and some may not have high spending limits. Before you choose a plan with a flex card, it’s important to understand exactly what’s involved.

You can compare Medicare Advantage plans online for free, including details of any flex card benefits that may be available as part of plans sold where you live. You can also get help finding the flex card details and coverage information for plans by calling to speak with a licensed insurance agent.

Either way, be sure to do your research on the plans sold where you live, as not all plans or plan benefits are available in all areas.

As so many suspected, COVID was just a test run

Oxfordshire Council to Trial a Climate Lockdown Starting 2024

Oxfordshire County Council Pass Climate Lockdown ‘trial’ to Begin in 2024

Oxfordshire County Council yesterday approved plans to lock residents into one of six zones to ‘save the planet’ from global warming. The latest stage in the ’15 minute city’ agenda is to place electronic gates on key roads in and out of the city, confining residents to their own neighbourhoods.

Under the new scheme if residents want to leave their zone they will need permission from the Council who gets to decide who is worthy of freedom and who isn’t. Under the new scheme residents will be allowed to leave their zone a maximum of 100 days per year, but in order to even gain this every resident will have to register their car details with the council who will then track their movements via smart cameras round the city.

Communism will make the weather better.

Oxfordshire County Council, which is run by Labour, the Liberal Democrats and the Green Party, secretly decided to divide-up the city of Oxford into six ‘15 minute’ districts in 2021 soon after they were elected to office. None of the councillors declared their intention of imprisoning local residents in their manifestos of course, preferring to make vague claims about how they will ‘improve the environment’ instead.

Every resident will be required to register their car with the County Council who will then monitor how many times they leave their district via number plate recognition cameras. And don’t think you can beat the system if you’re a two car household. Those two cars will be counted as one meaning you will have to divide up the journeys between yourselves. 2 cars 50 journeys each; 3 cars 33 journeys each and so on.

    Musk is killing animals

Exclusive: Musk’s Neuralink faces federal probe, employee backlash over animal tests
    By Rachael Levy

Dec 5 (Reuters) – Elon Musk’s Neuralink, a medical device company, is under federal investigation for potential animal-welfare violations amid internal staff complaints that its animal testing is being rushed, causing needless suffering and deaths, according to documents reviewed by Reuters and sources familiar with the investigation and company operations.

Neuralink Corp is developing a brain implant it hopes will help paralyzed people walk again and cure other neurological ailments. The federal probe, which has not been previously reported, was opened in recent months by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Inspector General at the request of a federal prosecutor, according to two sources with knowledge of the investigation. The probe, one of the sources said, focuses on violations of the Animal Welfare Act, which governs how researchers treat and test some animals.

    Advertisement · Scroll to continue
The investigation has come at a time of growing employee dissent about Neuralink’s animal testing, including complaints that pressure from CEO Musk to accelerate development has resulted in botched experiments, according to a Reuters review of dozens of Neuralink documents and interviews with more than 20 current and former employees. Such failed tests have had to be repeated, increasing the number of animals being tested and killed, the employees say. The company documents include previously unreported messages, audio recordings, emails, presentations and reports.

Reuters could not determine the full scope of the federal investigation or whether it involved the same alleged problems with animal testing identified by employees in Reuters interviews. A spokesperson for the USDA inspector general declined to comment. U.S. regulations don’t specify how many animals companies can use for research, and they give significant leeway to scientists to determine when and how to use animals in experiments. Neuralink has passed all USDA inspections of its facilities, regulatory filings show.

    Advertisement · Scroll to continue
In all, the company has killed about 1,500 animals, including more than 280 sheep, pigs and monkeys, following experiments since 2018, according to records reviewed by Reuters and sources with direct knowledge of the company’s animal-testing operations. The sources characterized that figure as a rough estimate because the company does not keep precise records on the number of animals tested and killed. Neuralink has also conducted research using rats and mice.

    Vigano gets it

am pleased to be able to speak and share with you my thoughts about the current global crisis. A crisis that we can consider to have begun with the pandemic emergency, but that we know has been planned for decades with very specific purposes by well-known personalities. Stopping at the pandemic alone would in fact be a serious mistake, because it would not allow us to consider the events in their full coherence and inter-connectedness, thus preventing us from understanding them and above all from identifying the criminal intentions behind them. You too – each with your own expertise in the medical, scientific, legal or other fields – will agree with me that limiting yourselves to your own discipline, which in some cases is extremely specific, does not fully explain the rationale for certain choices that have been made by governments, international bodies, and pharmaceutical agencies. For example, finding “graphene-like” material in the blood of people who have been inoculated with experimental serums makes no sense for a virologist, but it does made sense for an expert in nanomaterials and nanotechnology who understands what graphene can be used for. It also makes sense for an expert in medical patents, who immediately identifies the content of the invention and relates it to other similar patents. It also makes sense for an expert in war technologies who knows about studies on the enhanced man (a document of the British Ministry of Defense calls him “augmented man” in transhumanistic terms) and is therefore able to recognize in graphene nanostructures the technology that enables the augmentation of the war performance of military personnel.

“I cannot believe that in the year 2022,” Naomi continued. “After 35 years of advocacy for women’s health and human rights and civil liberties, I’m standing here to say Yale University should not mandate 17-year-olds, 18-year-olds, 19-year-olds, 20-year-olds, 21-year-olds with an experimental dangerous mRNA lipid nanoparticle injection — just so they can come back to school and resume their educations! I can’t believe I have to say this. But here we are.”

Naomi expresses how she always believed Yale would “protect the civilization that it sought to portray — a civilization in which I learned about the Nuremberg Code here at Yale. I learned about the Geneva Conventions here at Yale. I learned about the Hippocratic oath … here at Yale University. I cannot believe I’m standing outside these walls, saying, ‘Don’t coerce minors and young adults into damaging their lives and submitting to an illegal injection that violates the Geneva Conventions, that violates the Nuremberg Code, that violates the Hippocratic oath, that violates basic human rights — so these kids can pick up their education.’ Don’t do it.”

    @ eaglesoars:

As I expected, they modified the launchers to prevent them from firing long-range ATACMS missiles (which we haven’t supplied them with, anyway):

U.S. Altered Himars Rocket Launchers to Keep Ukraine From Firing Missiles Into Russia

The U.S. secretly modified the advanced Himars rocket launchers it gave Ukraine so they can’t be used to fire long-range missiles into Russia, U.S. officials said, a precaution the Biden administration says is necessary to reduce the risk of a wider war with Moscow.

The U.S. since June has supplied Ukrainian forces with 20 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System launchers, or Himars, and a large inventory of satellite-guided rockets with a range of almost 50 miles. Those rockets, known as the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System, or GMLRS, have been used to strike Russian ammunition depots, logistics supplies and command centers on Ukrainian territory.

But the Himars launchers have a unique feature intended to prevent them from becoming even more potent battlefield systems. U.S. officials say the Pentagon has modified the launchers so they can’t fire long-range missiles, including the U.S.’s Army Tactical Missile System rockets, or ATACMS, which have a range of nearly 200 miles.

The previously undisclosed modifications show the lengths the Biden administration has gone to balance its support for Ukraine’s forces against the risk of escalation with Moscow. They also reflect apprehensions among administration officials that their Ukrainian partner might stop keeping its promise not to strike Russian territory with U.S.-provided weapons.

On Monday, explosions struck two Russian air bases, including one that is a staging area for long-range bombers. The Russian Defense Ministry said that Ukraine had used drones to carry out the attacks, which damaged two aircraft and killed three Russian troops. There is no evidence that U.S.-provided weaponry was used in the strikes.

Kyiv didn’t formally claim responsibility for the attack, but Ukrainian officials hinted they had the capability to strike deep into Russia. After the strikes, Russia launched missile attacks on Ukraine.

The U.S. has refrained from supplying Ukraine with long-range ATACMS missiles. But the modifications ensure that Ukraine couldn’t use the Himars launchers the U.S. has provided to fire ATACMS missiles if Kyiv were to acquire them from other sources, such as foreign nations that have purchased the weapons from the U.S. Nor could Ukraine use those launchers to fire other types of longer-range missiles if Kyiv somehow managed to produce or acquire them, officials say.

The Pentagon declined to comment on the modifications, which U.S. officials said involve their hardware and software.

“Due to operational security considerations, we do not comment publicly on the configuration of systems provided to allies and partners,” said Air Force Brig. Gen. Patrick Ryder, the Pentagon spokesman. “The United States remains committed to providing Ukraine the capabilities it needs to counter Russian aggression.”

    🙂

Ignorance was bliss. I decided that it’d be a good idea to walk up to Victoria Falls AT NIGHT because there was a full Moon and the spray from the falls made for a night time rainbow. Nobody told me that at night all of the Hippos come out of the river and made huge nests by the road to the falls. I walked both ways , about a mile in all up and back right through the ‘invisible hippos’ all over the place. Never saw a single one but they were there! Hippos are deadly and more dangerous than lions.

As I said ignorance was bliss!

Had a Bar-B-Que just North of the Rhodesian capital up on a Kopii by the main reservoir. I decided to walk up to the top of the kopii to get a view (about 300 feet high). A mate and his wife were cooking steaks down by the water, and they were smart enough to be well armed. Kev had his 7.62mm SLR and Sally had her revolver loaded with ‘wad-cutters’. I smell something like a pole-cat on top of the rocks. Called Kev up and as he reached the summit he suddenly looked terrified and started running. I decided that that was probably a good idea too although I didn’t know what I was running from. Seems that it was a leopard was stalking me and I never saw it but I certainly smelt it!

    🙂

    Ahhh Africa!

On the OUTSIDE of the deep however there were 6 foot white tip sharks but they didn’t really bother you and were just curious. Another 10strokes however the water went from 20 feet deep to 2,000 feet deep with a massive wall. The Deep Blue was terrifying because that was where the BIG MUNCHIES lurked. Looking down in the inky darkness plunging into the depths was terrifying!

Top FBI Official Steps Down as Republicans Prepare to Probe Into Bureau

A top FBI official has stepped down just as House Republicans have announced plans to investigate recent operations and actions at the bureau.

In a Dec. 2 post to his LinkedIn profile, Steven D’Antuono, assistant director in charge of the FBI Washington Field Office, announced his retirement.

“After a 26-year, 10-month career with the FBI, I chose to retire,” D’Antuono wrote. “Yesterday was my last day.”

Attributing the decision to wanting to spend more time with his family, he added, “Deciding to retire was not easy, it is extremely difficult to say farewell to the mission and the wonderful people I work with, but in making my decision I knew it is time to hand the reins over to the next generation of FBI employees.”

News of D’Antuono’s retirement comes just weeks after Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee named him as one of nine FBI employees they would “require prompt testimony” from as they seek to investigate potential political bias at the bureau.

“Over the past twenty-one months, we have made several requests for information and documents concerning operations and actions of the Federal Bureau of Investigation,” the congressmen wrote in a Nov. 12 letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray.

“To date, you have ignored these requests, or you have failed to respond sufficiently,” the letter continues. “Please be aware that if our requests remain outstanding at the beginning of the 118th Congress, the Committee may be forced to resort to compulsory process to obtain the material we require.”

We can now tell you part of the reason why. On Tuesday, Twitter Deputy General Counsel (and former FBI General Counsel) Jim Baker was fired. Among the reasons? Vetting the first batch of “Twitter Files” – without knowledge of new management.

Oh wow. Gates of Vienna. Somehow they dropped off my radar.

In my opinion, as users of an “everything app”, (almost) everyone will be turned into a node in The Grid. The profit and power an “everything app” can generate will stem primarily from its ability to influence and control human behavior en masse.

And “information”, in this context, is nothing but your life: all what you do, say, think (!), buy and sell. According to Livemint:

Musk and members of his inner circle had also texted multiple times about the idea of adding digital payments to Twitter.

That’s comfortably reassuring. But how digital will those “digital payments” be? As digital as… the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC)? Well, it will certainly be able to influence human behavior, then. But it does not even have to go full CBDC to be able to be coercive; it only has to be comprehensive. Which it will be.

Musk says that ads on his Twitter will have to correspond with content. This means that some of the content will be promoted because it will have to correspond with ads. Ads are mainly paid by giant global corporations that are ultimately owned by the Powers That Be. Thus an “everything app” will become an “elite” monopoly of the collective reality by promoting the “content” of Big Business. And Big Business will collude with Big Government — as we have been allowed to get a taste of during the plandemic. That collusion is what the WEF calls euphemistically “stakeholder capitalism”. Of course, it could not be farther from either “stakeholder” or “capitalism”. It is just what it is: Tech Fascism.

And how fascistic this Tech Fascism will be? Very — Firstpost writes:

In 2020, a Twitter user proposed that Musk create X “to ensure human survival and progress.” This version of X would be the parent company of Tesla, SpaceX, his brain computer company Neuralink and his tunnel construction company the Boring Co., the user suggested. Musk called the proposal a “good idea.

“Ensure human survival and progress.” If that sounds like a cover story, basis and excuse for totalitarian tyranny, it is because it is all of that:

These apps are meant to be able to arrange almost everything and contain everything and everybody. Hence the more you, as an individual, engage in the “monopoly of reality” the easier your life will be in a material sense. Therefore those who do not live their lives in the Grid, will have a much harder time in the virtual reality that will become the most powerful empire within the realm we used to call “reality” in the pre-digital era. The rules for entering the REALITY of the Grid and living in it will obviously not be prescribed by its nods (people), but by the owners of the corporations that pay for the ads (behavior modifiers) — and, at the end of the day, paid by the parasitic overclass.

I’m remembering a scene in Lord of the Rings. Frodo has THE ONE RING and doesn’t want the responsibility of destroying it in the volcano. He offers it to Galadriel Queen of the Elves. She already has one of the child rings that remain untainted. She is SO tempted. There is so MUCH good she could do. She almost takes it. Then overcomes the temptation and refuses it.

    “I will remain Galadriel”

Let’s hope Musk also ‘remains Galadriel’

MAINZ, Germany — Authorities in Germany arrested 25 people on Wednesday who are suspected of planning to violently overthrow the government in a far-right extremist plot.

More than 3,000 police officers, including special forces, made 130 early morning searches across 11 of Germany’s 16 federal states in one of the biggest counterterrorism operations in the country’s history.

Suspects from the so-far unnamed group include a nobleman with a historic royal title and various armed forces veterans. It is centered on the so-called Reichsbürger, or Reich Citizens, movement which is motivated by conspiracy theories about the role and legitimacy of the modern German state.

In that case all bets are off as the Framers opined…. you can have a Republic IF YOU CAN KEEP IT!

If you can’t keep your Republic and electoral crime is both rampant and unsanctioned then you have moved on from the Republican stage of the political discourse and deep into authoritarianism. The stage beyond that is revolution and civil war ending in Dictatorship or back to the beginning of yet another political cycle with either representative democracy or republicanism. The fly in that particular ointment will be the rise and rise of transhumanism and the All Powerful surveillance State from which it will be almost impossible to escape. In Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day Address, Kamala Harris Urges Nation Not To Forget January 6

In a powerful Peal Harbor Remembrance Day address to the nation, Vice President Kamala Harris urged Americans to take some time to quietly remember January 6.

“Pearl Harbor was bad. They dropped bombs on big, big boats. But January 6 was even more bad,” said Harris in her speech. “They did an insurrection. An insurrection on the government. And we almost became a Nazi country. Remember it? We should all remember. The passage of time is very significant, but it will never make January 6 go away from our hearts. Amen.”

The administration observed a moment of silence and lowered the flags to half-staff in remembrance of that day that will live in infamy.

“Let us now observe a moment of silence. Remember AOC, who died several times that day. Remember the bloodshed and the carnage. Remember our democracy, which was almost murdered. And also Pearl Harbor too. But remember January 6 more. I love space! It’s big!” Kamala concluded.

Biden also attempted to address the nation but was pulled off stage when he started telling the story of how he fended off thousands of bloodthirsty Ultra-MAGA at the Capitol with nothing but a rusty switchblade.

I need to get better organised.

Tonight for supper I am going to have a bacon and tomato sandwich. No lettuce, I don’t eat rabbit food. I ain’t got the right teeth or ears.

Problem is a simple sandwich is going to take over five hours to make.

People I meet on the street. One walked up to me and said “Hi Gringo! ” and we did the fist bump thing.

Gringo is an insult to North Americans used by Mexicans, but Gringo is kind of an affectionate greeting used by central Americans to people who do not speak Spanish fluently.

I am also referred to, and greeted by African Americans as ” home boy “here.

NFT’s are all about speculation and greed. It’s not a game for an investor. After all it’s just a jpeg and has no more function than a team decal on a baseball cap.

I’m seeing a TON of posts asking for assistance. The most recent one is for dog food. They can’t find an affordable apartment, etc.

There are others here who know a lot more about music than I do. I’m one of those “I know what I like” morons. But tonight I found someone who I’d heard of but didn’t listen to – until I did. Ed Sheeran. I’ve known he was a big deal in the UK but never heard his music. Until now. Maybe it’s too ‘mushy’ but whatever. Scroll down or not.
