I’m trying this on a chromebook, frankly, this would be impossible without a mouse. the puti suggested that i get a gamer mouse that works on all platforms. good on her. the funky LED gamer mouse works so here we go: (no spell check)

The Rugby World Cup is going mostly as planned. The fun starts next weekends as the also-rans are elimated this weekend.

So, i lost last weekend and am at $1200/1000, i quit the week before at $1300/1000.. However, it’s not real money.

ahhh…i have to save before leaving the page

12 Oklahoma @ 3 Texas 12:00 PM. the longhorns are 5 point faves at home anbd beat the spread

I’m done betting the Vols and LSU. sorry. been let down over and over and over and over..

11 Alabama @ Texas A&M 3:30 PM.the chromebbok is acting all messed up. anyway, ‘bama is only a 2 point fave over the aggies, yinz know what? i never bet against saban. but i will today! AGGIES at home!

Colorado @ Arizona State 6:30 PM. coach prime and his team have been put back to earth. good. now is time for real building. they are 3 point faves and beat the spread.

20 Kentucky @ 1 Georgia 7:00 PM. KY is the new oregon state. yeah whatever. they are 13 point dogs v the best team in the country, they don’t cover and fall back to mean.

F1 is in Qatar and it is dusty as, well, the desert. Oddly. do watch the race as the best in the world try to figure out what to do in the sand.

Bunkarina, new hubba Ricardo, two dogs and a damn cat showed up at our house Wednesday. They’ve officially left NOLA and are en route to West Sacramento where they have a house and jobs lined up. Friends and family came over yesterday (both invited and uninvited) for a cookout.

Last night we sat around listening to their stories and we started talking about creole vs. cajun. Ricardo gave me the heads up on a guy who goes by the name of “Stalecracker” who cooks fo hunnet peep at a tam, dood.

Pope Francis once told a boy whose unbelieving father had passed away that his dad is in heaven because he had baptized his four children.

“He had his children baptized. He had a good heart.”

This is heresy. No one can come to the Father without the Son. John 14:6.

    An angry post.

I just got disturbed by an helicopter flying over my apartment. It is 2:20am

I was not asleep but due to the noise I had to rewind the movie I was watching because I could not hear what was being said due to the noise the helicopter made. Also Natasha was woken up by the noise.

I will make a noise complaint to the police tomorrow. I am good at this Internet stuff and I looked on Flightradar24.com and I got the motherfuckers registration and call sign and owner.

Reg N455MH Callsign LIFE5 Aircraft Airbus Helicopters H145

    Owner Memorial Hermann Life Flight

    Now, back to the movie……

Aside from that, Rory (aka Bunkarina) and Ricardo are outdoorsy types, and not the “let’s rent a cabin next to the welcome center” type. They go out in the boonies with water filters in their backpacks.
Rory said she’d go paddle boarding on the bayou (ALONE!?) and one morning a 6-ft. gator spotted her and slid off the bank. She didn’t see it again until it surfaced briefly a few feet ahead of her, dropped below again; Rory paddled like hell to get away from it. She said it was a mamma gator protecting the nest and wouldn’t let her pass. Spooked her big time.

Memorial Hermann Life Flight (or any other service) wouldn’t have helped because they’d never find her.

Hamas has fired around 1/3 of its 14,000 short and medium range rockets into Israel in a surprise attack. Israel has declared officially that Israel is now at war with Hamas. Israeli casualties are so far light as 6,000 rockets flew across the Gaza border into Israel. There has as yet not been an official comment from Saudi Arabia, although relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel have been improving markedly, mostly as a consequence of Iranian increased threat levels towards Saudi Arabia. There are currently active IAF strike attacks proceeding into Gaza, targeting rocket launch sites and rocket production factories. There has been no official comments from Shia Iran yet.

I got short term disability for my stents. The first week doesnā€™t count, and my cardiologistā€™s office kept screwing around on getting paperwork to the disability benefit people, so I only got paid for about 3.5 hours PTO.

Taxes were just under half of that, and my benefits and retirement took the rest.

    @ Aussie Infidel:
The White House (“Jill and I”) issued a vague statement.

This morning, I spoke with Prime Minister Netanyahu about the horrific and ongoing attacks in Israel. The United States unequivocally condemns this appalling assault against Israel by Hamas terrorists from Gaza, and I made clear to Prime Minister Netanyahu that we stand ready to offer all appropriate means of support to the Government and people of Israel. Terrorism is never justified. Israel has a right to defend itself and its people. The United States warns against any other party hostile to Israel seeking advantage in this situation. My Administrationā€™s support for Israelā€™s security is rock solid and unwavering.

Jill and I are keeping in our prayers all of the families who have been hurt by this violence. We are heartbroken by the lives that have been tragically cut short and hope for a swift recovery for all those who have been wounded.

My team and I are tracking this situation closely, and I will remain in close touch with Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Hamas are very much into anniversaries and it was the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War yesterday. There was no good reason for being surprised at all. Something nasty was always going to happen yesterday. Actually Saudi Arabia and Israel have been playing kissy face for months now because the Shia in Iran are full speed ahead with their nuke production since Biden gave them back billions and they are all cashed up again. I can only hope that Biden is sitting behind his desk when the roof caves in at the WH and he turns into a carbon stain on the wall of the WH.

Sorry Eagles, you’re obviously not properly ‘read in’ if you ask that question.

Hamas has around 14,000 limited to medium range missiles of about 17 different types. They have been developing their own types for 20 years and have purchased thousands of other types, Russian, Chinese home-made, Iranian etc.
I’ll bring you up to date girl:-

Hamas wants to ‘grab Israel by the belt’ and pin them down in extended urban warfare.

News flash …. Hamas doesn’t care how many Palestinians die just as long Israel is forced to take the bait and re-enter Gaza and get involved in URBAN OPERATIONS

Iran now has supplied 130,000 serious missiles based in Lebanon with Hezbollah (that’s TEN times as many as Hamas had before they used 1/3 of their stocks)

Hezbollah will wait until Israel is deeply involved in open ended Urban Ops in Gaza against Hamas before moving.

With Israel pinned in the South against Hamas then Hezbollah will release a huge number of professionally manufactured missiles from the North and Israel will be caught in a two front war.

Did you know that Iran has enough weight of fissile material to arm half a dozen missiles, as they know that Israel is a 4 nuke target to whip Israel’s arse. Iran will have a buffer of two more nukes as a back up.

How come the West doesn’t know that Iran doesn’t DOESN’T CARE if it is destroyed by 200+ Israeli nukes! Iran is fighting a RELIGIOUS war and the West is still with its collective mind mired in Gulf War II

Iran can’t get to see the 12th Imam without destroying Israel. Nothing is more necessary than that including their own survival.

130,000 missiles under the control of Hazbollah can overwhelm the defences around Israel’s sole breeder reactor in the Negrev

Ms Lyndsay Graham is away with the fairies …. nothing new here!

The Israelis are never as smart as they believe and keep making the same beginner errors every time it really counts. They got very lucky last time during Yom Kippur. Their logistics are total rubbish and that’s from personally watching the Israeli trainers screw up the strategic thinking of the Singaporean military. Israeli hubris is strong with them!

The US are asleep at the wheel as well, and you might as well bulldoze the ‘five sided puzzle palace’ right now. It’s not worth the window cleaning costs such is their so called INTEL analysis outlook.

    Sheesh

If it’s as clear as day here, why is it so confusing over there?

I can’t believe the crap that is coming out of the US media. They don’t even know that they either don’t know or maybe they can’t face reality when it hits ’em between the eyes!

Maybe he’ll get a job at Fox to CNN who are equally delusional. These guys are all playing checkers and Hamas/ Hezbollah/ Iran/ Russia/ China are playing 3D Chess.

If this is the level of official thinking in the US and Israel then we are ALL in serious trouble! Totally reactive and not even a glimmer of initiative. I couldn’t believe my ears when Lyndsay Graham spoke. The guy is delusional. What a great idea why don’t we destroy Iran’s Oil capability? Now that’ll further wreck the global economy and make Saudi, Russia and the Gulf States REALLY happy and very rich.

Every time Israel turns off the power the left guilts them into quietly turning it back on a few days later thanks to the ‘bleeding heart’ western ‘compassion’!

Smith & Wesson moved from Springfield, Massachusetts, where they had been since the mid-19th century, to move to a more gun-friendly state

The gun manufacturer built a new 650,000-square feet office in Maryville, Tennessee which as loosened gun restrictions under Republican leadership

    FBI stole gold? Hmmmmmmmmmm…

I don’t know what form the gold was in (it’s from the civil war), but I can tell you the ‘blocks’ it’s made into now that the gov’t holds are HEAVY – like 40 pounds..it would have taken some equipment to get it out of the ground to the armored truck

The witnesses are elk- hunting guide Eric McCarthy and his client, Don Reichel. They were up on the ridge on the night that the FBI dug for the gold while forcing the treasure-hunters to remain in their car so they couldnā€™t watch. McCarthy and Reichel both say that they saw armored trucks leaving the area and at least one of them ā€œrode low, as if it was carrying a full load.ā€ They also claim that they heard the sound of heavy machinery all through the night, though the FBIā€™s permit only allowed them to operate until 10 pm.

Do you believe this crap. On our local Nextdoor page

We have two dogs: Roxy and Ziggie and we need them out of the house Saturday and Sunday. Big family wedding with guests in town and some of the guests are afraid of dogs.

Ziggie is shy and Roxy is very friendly but doesnā€™t like other dogs. It would be best if they will go to a house without other pets.
We are located in Farragut. Please message me if you are interested

Tell those guests to find a hotel. Nobody would put up with it if human children were the problem for people are aren’t terribly fond of them – and there are quite a few.

I donā€™t know what form the gold was in (itā€™s from the civil war), but I can tell you the ā€˜blocksā€™ itā€™s made into now that the govā€™t holds are HEAVY ā€“ like 40 pounds..it would have taken some equipment to get it out of the ground to the armored truck

I had no idea he had a book coming out

Rand Paul’s expose of Fauci reads like a bioweapon spy thriller

Most books by politicians are ghostwritten, poll-tested, reputation-whitewashing, score-settling mental baby food. Sen. Rand Paulā€™s book out today, Deception: The Great Covid Cover-Up, instead reads like a mash-up of the true-crime and spy thriller genres.

tā€™s an in-depth accounting of how one man ā€” Anthony Fauci ā€” may be responsible for not only creating the Covid-19 outbreak but for turning an accident into a global catastrophe. It emphasizes that all the dangerous conditions that unleashed Covid persist, and could easily lead to another, far worse pandemic any time now through incompetence, hubris, or terrorism.

Paul documents that the man sitting on ā€œthe biggest pile of infectious disease funding in the worldā€ used that massive influence over ā€œscience (TM)ā€ to cover up his involvement with Frankenstein science that appears to have unleashed a laboratory-worsened disease on the world. The devastating consequences have only begun to appear.

This isnā€™t conjecture. Paul publishes the receipts in this 423-page thriller, one assumes in an attempt to provide posterity key evidence that weak and evil men like Fauci are still working to obscure, vilify, smear, and contaminate.

Smoky was a 4 lb, 7 inch tall, Yorkshire Terrier who served in World War II. In 1944 Smoky was found in a foxhole in the jungles of New Guinea by an American soldier who brought her back to camp and sold her to Corporal William A. Wynne for $6.44. For the next 2 years Smoky lived a soldiers life. Because she was not an official military dog, she did not get dog food or medical care. She shared Wynneā€™s meals and slept beside him in his tent.
The little dog even flew 12 air/sea rescue and photo reconnaissance missions, secured in the soldiers backpack. She survived 150 air raids and saved Wynne by warning him of incoming shells. Like many Yorkies, Smoky also loved to learn tricks and preform. She did so with the Special Services ā€“ entertaining soldiers in hospitals. After the war Smoky was flown back to the US hidden in a oxygen mask carrying case.
For the next 10 years she made television and public appearances in Veterans hospitals until her death in 1957. Smoky is considered the first Therapy Dog.

Oh, this is good! I got called up for jury duty once. It was fascinating. ( didn’t get picked, big surprise)

NEW: Jack Smith desperate to prevent the public from learning about the deep bias of DC jury pool. He already asked Judge Chutkan for restrictions on defense jury survey to gauge prejudice of jury pool now wants more rules related to picking, vetting jurors:

In the case I was called for, the judge would have had the lawyer disbarred and tossed out of his court in the meantime. The respect shown the jurors by the judge, prosecutor and defense was AWESOME. But we had to follow some rules that fell under the FAFO umbrella. The officers of the court were also GREAT fun but were like “don’t start nuthin’ won’t be nuthin’ ”

    I loved it.

the object of terrorism is to terrify.

it is meant to strike fear and change societal procedures to the negative against freedoms. it is meant to place political pressure against the status quo to change said status.

it is not meant to gain territory or be a formal act of war as terrrorist are by definition, non-state actors. if they are found to be state backed actors, then ‘war’ in the calssic sense can start.

during the troubles, england only invaded ireland once (amazingly). this was in fact an actual act of war as the ira was not a state actor nor were they after holding land / invasion. their mission was to terrorize to change the public oppinion and bring about a change in governance, or just to kill ‘opressors’.

do note, i used quotes and don’t want to get into a discussion about the ira one way or the other.

what has occured in israel is in fact an act of war. land is invaded and held in a coordinated state-sponsored action. this isnt a sqaddie pub getting blown up in derry.

And that was not a flippant remark. That is literally the goal of Hamas, written in their charter in black and white. They have no interest in “sharing” anything. Their goal is the destruction of Israel and the deaths of its entire Jewish population.

Fatah, on the other hand, only wants control of the territory. They don’t necessarily care if all the Jews are killed right away, as long as they go somewhere else. They’re the “moderate” Palestinian faction.

    FWIW. From Darren Beattie

Hamas made a big play for Sunni Arab support by throwing in with the side of the Sunni rebels (ISIS, et al) against Syria and Iran in the Syrian Civil War.

But normalization of Saudi and Gulf States with Israel left Hamas out to dry in terms of any chance of significant Sunni Arab support.

(Ironically, normalization of Sunni Israel relations drove sunni Hamas into the arms of Iran’s Shiia axis.)

All of a sudden Hamas is in a vulnerable position, and the Iran backed “Islamic Jihad” began to steal its thunder in terms of attacks on Israel and legitimate claims to the mantle of resistance group (unlike IJ, Hamas had the of governance to worry about and not just resistance).

Ultimately Hamas made common cause with IJ, beginning about a year ago, resigning itself to the necessity of support from Iran axis.

Whether or not the recent attack was “green lit” by Iran, it can be fairly understood that what is different about this attack, and makes it something bigger than a typical Israel-Palestine issue, is the new geopolitical position that Hamas finds itself in as Shiia-axis aligned.

From a self described Palestinian American regarding the people of Gaza.

ā€¢ Should ALL Palestinian people to be conflated with Hamas? Are they one & the same?

I know many Palestinians and can emphatically tell you: ABSOLUTELY NOT. They vast majority are non-violent, peace-loving people, who just want to live their lives in peace.

The media chooses to show you only the Worst.

There are violent people in Any group. I’ve seen Israeli kids shouting the exact same things – “death to Palestinians!” – yet they don’t show you that on the news, of course.

ā€¢ “BUT THEY VOTED FOR HAMAS!”

Actually, most of them didn’t. Gaza is comprised mostly of people under the age of 18. The last election in Gaza was 17 Years ago.

Things were different at the time, & there was Hamas would be reasonable.

Also, their other choice during that election was between another group possibly even More corrupt than Hamas.

the BMI is useless and only worked for the insurance companies that had it made in the first place back in the 30’s.

when i went in i weighed 180lbs at 5’8″, well over BMI (44″ chest, 32″ waist) ran track, played rugby, threw javelin. upon leaving the army, i weighed 195…!!!! WAYYYY OVER, but!

48″ chest, 34″ waist, almost a 6 pack, large quads and calves, every 6 months i had to get tape measured and calculated even though it was quite obvious that i was not ‘obese’. overweight? yep, 91% muscle on last calculation. almost got perfect score on all of my PT tests, i hated running distance and would miss the max score by 30-45 seconds. i’m not built for distance running. during and after the army i played rugby at a fairly high level, second team all nato,

    /—for aussie
YES, aussie, the berlin scrum half (me) was 190lbs. we had an american samoan pack, two black guys as wingers who were fast as hell, and the back line was all officers (west point, vmi, unc, ND, and washington) who already had 4-6 plus years under their belts. our berlin brigade team would regularly stomp the brits and scots, get in a street fight with the french, and beat division teams in ‘the west’. there were two seasons of perfection and then rotation destroyed us. the last season i was there was bad.

    —/

a year at UCC ireland, starting for pitt, was set to start for pgh harlequins but jeeze…at 23…pay for your own flight and room and board in aspen for the yearly week long tourney. weekend in LA, weekend on the OBX???? šŸ˜† yeah…nope. but i digress.

but…that rail skinny guy who could run like the wind maxed out the run. the joke was, who do you want to carry you out of danger?

now, i will admit that i got fat in my 40’s. i was pushing 230, cancer cures that. now i’m settled at 195 (i was down to 160…i looked like death.). but hey! on the bmi chart, i was just slightly under weight for my height! and near death, but it’s ok, i fit the stupid bmi chart.

oh, and i knew Mr All Nato body builder back in the day. yep, over weight.

over weight GOD OF WAR…’obese’ by chart standards, and had to get taped and calculated twice a year, 4-6% body fat?

one of my friends in the brigade was a power lifter. 21 years old and would have reenlisted. but no, he was ‘obese’.

passed his pt test in the 75th percentile every time but failed the tape and calculations most times. so he, his clearance, and all that training walked out the door. yet he could do things that were super-human. the last contact that i had with him was that he wrestled for 4 years at a D1 school (3/4 scholarship) and is an industrial engineer now.
