Figured we needed a new thread. Have at it.

It’s official. I’ve gone from “Laura Loomer is an obnoxious nut case even if she is right most of the time” to absolutely adoring her.

    George,
    @gtconway3d

    Your daughter
    @claudiamconwayy
is selling sexual content online for $5 a month. You FAILED as a father. Meanwhile, all of the Trump kids are millionaires and wildly successful.
    @EricTrump

    @DonaldJTrumpJr

    @IvankaTrump

    @TiffanyATrump

    You also worked for
    @ProjectLincoln
even after they were exposed for being tied to pedophiles.

You are in no place to be judging President Trump or calling people guilty when you won’t even condemn a bunch of pedophiles. Imagine having little kids and continuing to work for a pedophile tied org that obsesses about “getting Trump”.

You FAILED as a father. Did any of your friends at the Lincoln Project molest your daughter? How did your daughter, who had so much privilege and two rich parents end up selling sexual images for $5 and spreading her pussy on the internet?

That is what people in the mental health world call DADDY ISSUES.

While your daughter is probably getting fucked in the ass by Tyrone right now, Donald Trump continues to get even more popular.

You should be trying to convince your daughter to stop being a slut online, but instead, you’re jerking off to Donald Trump “conviction porn”.

    @KellyannePolls
should have divorced your slovenly, fat ass years ago.

    FUCK YOU! #Trump2024

Lunch was a tomato and a chunk of cucumber accompanied by a can of sardines.

Sardines are a great food to eat when on any kind of diet as a can is only 150 calories. And they are filing, you can’t really eat much more than a can.

Anyway total calories in this 24hr period ( midnight to 3:30pm ) so far is 185.

As to the salad dressing dilemma, the one where if you don’t watch carefully how much regular dressing you use, has been solved.

This shit is very low calorie and tastes awesome! And a black man makes it.

    Why?

BREAKING: The federal government is allegedly in the process of attempting to seize Alex Jones’ studios, put locks on the doors, and then forcefully liquidate all broadcast assets.

Jones allegedly slept in his studio last night and has publicly said he would call local police to stop the federal raid on his studios.

Details are still coming in, but Jones has been warning on his show recently that he and his crew are “trying to be shut down.”

Just wondering what to have for supper tonight. I am feeling fishy today. Anyway looked in the freezer and found something that I put on one side because I regarded it as a forbidden food at the moment.

Van de Kamp’s Beer Battered Fish Fillets, 19.1 oz, 10 Count (Frozen)

Serving size 2 of them, 230 calories but on the junk food naughty list because of the high fat content. That greasy breading coating!

However two juicy fillets, about 4oz total and 3oz of brussels sprouts and 3oz of cauliflower and I should be able to make a really filling supper under 300 calories.

    Using fried junk food….

    I did not know this

Bill Cooper was actually raided by the government and was killed.

He became convinced that he was being personally targeted by President Bill Clinton and the Internal Revenue Service.

In 2000, he was named a “major fugitive” by the United States Marshals Service.

On November 5, 2001, the government raided his home under the guise of
charges of aggravated assault and killed him in a “shootout”

Alex Jones would eventually replace Bill Cooper as the new alternative media kingpin.

Why isn’t anyone talking about a generation-long military occupation of Gaza when this is over? Just like we did in Japan and Germany after WWII. Not by Israel or the US, and certainly not by one of the Islamic countries, and not the usual suspects from Africa. Maybe the EU could do it.

I see the Trump trial talk has kinda petered out, hope no one minds if I bring up the following:

From what I’ve read, the father of this judge brought him here from Columbia along with the rest of his family, when the judge was 6 years old. From what I’ve read, the father was an officer in the Columbian military. Of course theres nothing wrong with improving ones life, giving your kid more opportunities, etc etc … I guess.

I don’t think of myself as being jingoistic, nor do I think of myself superior to other ethnicities and mainly because like so many Americans, I’m a mutt.
Maybe I have a strange way of thinking though I don’t know because i’ve never brought this up with anyone before, so here goes:
Even if I cross the border into another state, I make it a point to follow the speed limit there even more strictly than I do in my home state and this is because, for some reason, I feel like I’m a guest in this other state. Probably sounds nuts ? Well, I needed to get that out here first before saying this:
Even though this JUDGE has been an American citizen since he was a kid and graduated from one of our top law schools, if I were in his shoes and asked to handle this particular case I know that I would take a back seat and suggest someone else take on the task. Likewise, I can’t even imagine moving to Columbia and being put in this same position as he was here in the USA and, even if for some reason I DID take it on, no way would I conduct myself as he did. Yes, I get it. Hes a full blown, tax paying American citizen, no better nor worse than me. Still …
If I had no choice and had to take this case I would certainly be as professional and respectful to the accused former POTUS, well, unless the accused former POTUS was charged in the murder or rape of of a child and in front of at least 5 witnesses and the courthouse was surrounded by pitch fork tottin’ locals who were out for blood … but this guy?
Although it wasn’t televised there were eyewitness accounts from the likes of legal luminaries such as Alan Dershowitz whose description of how absurdly President Trump was treated, including his lawyers and witnesses, I mean c’mon ! He was like a chained pit bull who had been beat and conditioned since 6 years old to rip the throat out a former American POTUS!
I know that in our criminal justice system (uh, former system) the following does not matter a whit but, my father and every male in my family fought for this country in WWII, in the So Pacific, the Islands, D-Day to the Battle of the Bulge and again, so, just sayin’, if I were asked to take on this trial I would be …
If my father moved me to Columbia as a kid, to this day I would no doubt still feel somewhat like a guest (should have said that up top).
Hell, when I go down to the deep south I still feel like a guest.
So I ask, is it just me?

Frankly, that’s the only circumstances under which a former president should be put on trial, anyway. How, exactly, are 4th grade teachers going to explain this case to their students 10 years from now (without even getting into the porn star aspect of it, that is)? @ Bunk Five Hawks X:

Actually, it’s the other way around. There’s nothing about it in the law authorizing lifetime protection for former presidents. The Dems tried to pass a bill recently revoking protection for former presidents who have been convicted of felonies, but it failed.

  25. 26 | June 3, 2024 12:04 am

    @ lobo91:
There’s no precedent that requires Secret Service protection in prison because no US President has ever been sentenced to prison.

  26. lobo91
    27 | June 3, 2024 12:12 am

    @ Bunk Five Hawks X:

That’s not how the law works. It says specifically that former presidents get protection for the rest of their lives. “Precedent” doesn’t come into it.

Until that law changes, or the Supreme Court rules otherwise, it’s black letter law. The director of the Secret Service said as much a few days ago. The NY courts and corrections department will have to deal with it.

  27. lobo91
    28 | June 3, 2024 12:22 am

    @ Bunk Five Hawks X:

It’s all irrelevant anyway, because he’s not going to prison. The dipshit judge might sentence him to prison, but it will be stayed pending appeal. And there’s zero chance that the verdict survives on appeal.

This is all a game. They tried to ruin him financially with the civil case and failed. Then they tied him up in court to keep him from campaigning. They assumed that he would be moving on to the next bullshit case, but that’s all falling apart now. It’s not about putting him in prison, because they know these cases are all garbage.

Trump is going to win in November. The only way they can prevent that at this point is the JFK solution.

And yes, they are that desperate to keep him out of office, because they know he’s going to burn it all down.

    @ Possum:

To get a REAL-ID compliant Texas driver license or ID, you need:

An original or certified copy of a Birth Certificate or an unexpired U.S. Passport Book or Card

    Social Security Card

Current Texas Vehicle Registration or Title

Current Car Insurance Policy or Car Insurance Statement

If your name changed, legal documents showing proof of name change from your birth name

It is not that difficult, you only need to show ONE of the above items then you get a nice gold star on the top right corner of your license.

I cannot see how any of that is an invasion of my privacy, it just proves I am who I say I am.

    @ eaglesoars:

    REAL ID:

Beginning May 7, 2025, the federal government will require your driver license, permit or ID card to be REAL ID compliant if you wish to use it as identification to board a domestic flight (within the U.S.), or enter military bases and certain federal facilities.

Enhanced driver license, permit, or non-driver ID and valid U.S. Passport are already REAL ID compliant and can be used to board a flight.

There is no additional cost to get a REAL ID. All normal transaction fees still apply.

Documentation Required for REAL ID and Enhanced license, permit, non-driver ID

    – Proof of Citizenship
    – U.S. Birth Certificate
Must be original or certified copy (Hospital certificate will NOT be accepted)

    @ 4_Sticks:

Those are already the documents needed to get a driver license. Nothing has changed from that aspect.

Real ID means that your driver license complies with those requirements, not all states used to need as much proof, now all 50 states are synchronised in the requirements.

The DL now has a fancy bar code thing on the back. It is in PDF-417 format and you can get an app for your phone that reads it and decodes it.

If your license is less than a few years old you have a gold star on it.

He goes into great detail here on the issues surrounding the guilty verdict in last week’s NY kangaroo court trial, why it will ultimately be overturned *and why the Dems don’t care):

He references a lengthy Twitter thread from former FEC head Bradley Smith, who was supposed to be called as an expert witness, but was blocked by the judge. Here’s the thread.

I think it is time for Russia to turn off the gas supply that runs through Ukraine and supplies Western Europe.

Russia pays Ukraine transit fees for the gas.

That is why Nordstream 2 was prevented from opening, less transit fees to Ukraine. That was before the war started.

So I asked my ‘first cohort’ of the former Red Guard, about what ACTUALLY happened 35 years ago in Tiananmen Square, because he had, by then, changed his philosophy 180 degrees. Just HOW MANY people were killed that morning. Not second or third rate news stories. WHAT did you observe yourself?

He said that he saw 10,000 young people die that morning in the square, or who afterwards died, after laying wounded on blankets, on the tarmac outside the surrounding hospitals, after being crushed and shot by the PLA.

This is a guy at 14 years of age and a Red Guard, who sold his parents ‘down the river’ after declaring that they were intellectuals and had them both sentenced to 2 years of forced labour. He lost 2 years of education whilst a ‘first cohort’ of the Red Guards. At 16 his parents were released from forced Labour in the rice paddies, and made his peace with his parents when they forgave him.

‘L’ had a total vault face became a Christian , a professional engineer and concert pianist, emigrated to NZ and we did our MBAs in our class together. We still get together weekly to talk politics and the news from China, where his sister is married to a high level Party bureaucrat! She has been attempting to escape from her ‘gilded cage’ life in Beijing, unsuccessfully. Especially now that both their parents have died at over 90 years of age and no longer remain as an anchor to govern the siblings control by the CCP. ‘L”s aunt was a musicologist and adjunct Professor at the University of Maimi, but was threatened and ground down by Beijing’s CCP by pressuring her parents until she had a breakdown, and she was grabbed back and forced to return to China, where she was arrested and ‘disappeared’ into a government mental hospital never to be seen again!

So, drunk as a skunk Possum is very tempted to give them a call!

Or they could just print the FDA nutritional info on the label instead of wasting all that room with a picture of some blonde blue eyed slut with fishy looking legs and a fork in her hand.

This is a long read – I haven’t finished – but it is delicious. Some people figured out how to scam the EU out of billions in a rather complex VAT puzzle. The EU waives the VAT on some products in order to encourage cross-border trade. The people engaged in the commerce pay the tax up front, then file the paperwork for the gov’t to reimburse them.

Somebody realized that the gov’t never saw the actual product, just the paperwork. So they started filing reimbursement paperwork on ghost products.

Now comes the good part. Apply that to trading carbon offsets. JACKPOT!

As long as Andrew is talking political retractions in population numbers, may I Segway across the road to discuss the euthanasia of at least 10,000 + elderly in the UK a couple of years ago. It would appear that the UK during Covid -19 there was a WRONGLY attributed statistical spike in deaths of the more elderly cohort. It now turns out that the facts now strongly indicate that Covid amongst the elderly was a ‘bum rap’ . The British elderly were in fact not dying of Covid-19 but rather involuntary euthanasia using a mixture of opiates and the drug Midazolam which supresses breathing and causes death. The statistics clearly show that in excess of 10,000 UK citizens were covertly euthanised by the very doctors who were responsible for treating the elderly for Covid-19.

If there is any justice left in the world perhaps someone might suggest that the responsible doctors within the UK Health Service take the easy way out and voluntarily take an opiate and Midazolam instead of facing life sentences for wilful murder! The long dead NAZIs would find it laughable that their British accusers at Nuremberg are now copying the worst habits of the Third Reich. Add the Dutch and the Canadians to that list as well. Has the West truly fallen that far from the tree of civilization?

I noted the day when all Covid-19 hell broke out. It was February 22, 2020 and immediately the airspace around Wuhan was restricted by the Chinese aviation bureaucrats, for all Chinese DOMESTIC air traffic operating out of Wuhan.

Interestingly INTERNATIONAL air traffic continued to operate out of Wuhan , across the globe, even when Domestic Chinese air movements totally STOPPED on February 22. The vast bulk of those passengers (mainly Chinese nationals) travelled to the USA landing in a number of major US cities. There was also a lesser number of international passengers (mostly Chinese nationals) travelling to Europe and especially to Italy where over 150,000 Chinese textile workers were operating in Chinese owned Italian based clothing manufacturers’ workshops.

At the end of the second week of March 2020 Western International airlines restricted all international traffic out of Wuhan, when shortly thereafter both US and European airlines ceased international operations out of much of China.

By then, during that 3 week continuance of air contact, over 100,000 passengers flew out of Wuhan and the rest of China and spread Covid-19 globally.

I do NOT think that was an accident.
Given the Domestic restrictions on air travel out of Wuhan from February 22, 2020 the decision to continue with International air operations indicates wilful planning to spread Covid-19 globally by the Chinese government.

‘All You Have To Do Is Vote’: Hillary Clinton Compares Trump To Hitler In ‘Vile’ D-Day Post

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton used the 80th anniversary of D-Day to draw a comparison between Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler and former President Donald Trump, claiming that those who voted against Trump would be doing as much to “protect democracy” as the boys who stormed the Normandy beaches.

Clinton appeared to have some idea that her thoughts might not be well-received, as evidenced by the fact that she shut down replies to the post on X.

“Eighty years ago today, thousands of brave Americans fought to protect democracy on the shores of Normandy. This November, all we have to do is vote,” she wrote.

“Holy s*** I despise these people,” Army Ranger veteran Sean Parnell posted. “It’s impossible to capture just how loathsome a comment this is. To cheapen what WWII heroes did to BS garbage politics makes me sick. Again, WWII veterans deserve so much better than this.”

“What kind of shameless, broken, lizard person do you have to be to tweet out some nonsense like this? ‘Yes I know what it was like for those soldiers on Omaha beach ducking machine gun fire, I went to vote. I am braver than the troops,’” came from @ComfrotablySmug. “She has never recovered from Trump’s win.”

“In 2016 you attempted to undo everything they fought for by partnering with Fusion GPS to launder discredited oppo in the press, and merchandise it into surveillance warrants on enemies through FISA. Were my WWII vet grandparents alive today they’d slam this,” radio host Dana Loesch added.

Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro summed up his thoughts as well: “What an enormously stupid and vile comment. Trump is not Hitler. And voting is not storming a beach under a hail of machine-gun fire to free millions from the tyranny of the Nazis.”

It’s taken a couple of months, a load at a time, but THAT part is finished. 4 1/2 yards of dirt moved, includinga yard today.

Now I get to start working on the side. Don’t know if I need to do both, or just the east.

I’m gonna pay for this tomorrow.

I need to put weed barrier and mulch down, and there’s part of the bed that’ll need a bunch of grass & weeds pulled, but its going to look nice.

Maybe add some flowers or bushes, too. Next year.

    STOP!

By ‘weed barrier’ do you mean that black plastic stuff?

I made that mistake. The mulch cannot decompose properly on top of it, so there is no soil enrichment. And, sorry, I got weeds galore. And it wasn’t porous enough to accept the water from the irrigation system

So I paid to have it put down when I laid the front garden and a year later I paid to have it pulled out. What a mess.

I am gaining weight again. Over the last 21 days I have averaged 1639 calories per day and my sodium intake per day was 1032mg which is actually lower than the daily recommended intake.

Last 2 days calories average 1225 and sodium 579mg

Put on TWO pounds and the marks on my legs where the top of my socks live are back again.

Overall I feel better on this diet, and as I noticed before when doing this my joints do not ache. That is VERY noticeable.

And counting down the minutes until midnight. 20 minutes to go and we start again!

This is more exciting for me than the Starship launch this morning. I log what I eat and drink per 24 hours from midnight to midnight.

So, yesterday as in 6/6/2024 calories will be recorded at 1825
which is more than I would like but at 2am I thought ” fuck this ” and had a fry up. Eggs, bacon, low carb bread, mushrooms. That cost me 800 calories and put a big dent in the day. Plus I had some naughty beers. Still only 28g carbs for the day though.

Now as midnight approaches I still have beer in the fridge, which after doing a quick calculation means if I drink it all today is going to be a lettuce day.

Starting to think easiest way to lose weight is have a leg amputated.

The rubber mulch looks pretty good, and the color lasts better.

    This is becoming ridiculous.

Uvalde families sue two additional companies, FedEx and UPS

Families in Uvalde are pursuing additional legal action in the aftermath of the tragic school shooting, this time targeting FedEx and UPS.

The families allege that the companies played a role in the incident by facilitating the shipment of weapons to the shooter.

The lawsuit claims that FedEx shipped the AR-15 style rifle used by the shooter during his rampage. According to the allegations, the shooter purchased the weapon online, and FedEx delivered it to a gun store in Uvalde, where he subsequently picked it up.

Additionally, the suit accuses UPS of aiding in the illegal sale and delivery of the trigger system that the shooter utilized. The families assert that FedEx failed to verify the buyer’s age before shipping the weapon and that UPS neglected to screen the package prior to shipment.

FedEx wouldn’t have even known who the purchaser of the rifle was, and would have had no contact with him. It was shipped from the manufacturer to the FFL that processed the sale.

As for UPS and the trigger assembly, that’s not a part that’s subject to any sort of restrictions. As long as the package didn’t contain any hazardous materials, they have no interest in what’s in it.

Pakistan is a HUGE feather in the US Team’s T20 cap.
India will be on-cue now and NOT taking the US lightly as in T20 anything can happen! 🙂

Ireland should be a win for the US, but I do hope that the US T20 team doesn’t go crazy as the Irish have had the odd ‘out of left field’ wins in the past.

I had a PET scan a couple days ago in a parking lot with skateboard ramps. All is well and cardio is fine after a bit of a scare.

A CT scan report in April indicated SERIOUS arterial calcification, and at the first appointment with a cardiologist (who coincidentally was my father’s cardio doctor), he declared “It’s bullshit,” and said that the people who write up the reports have no basis for such interpretations, but they have to check a box. Subsequent ECG showed everything to be normal; stress test was inconclusive as my heart rate didn’t go much higher than 80 bpm, hence the PET scan. Doc Cardio said it looks good, maybe we’ll have lunch in a year or so.

Did anyone who read the letter from Michael Anderson to the ‘judge’ (spit) and notice that it read in part, the following:

“Thank you for all your hard against the MAGA crazies!”

And if so, while reading it to yourself did you happen to notice that its missing a word ?

If you didn’t notice, then read it again but sloooowly, word for word.
I could not believe how many attorneys I listened to today on YT who read that sentence out loud but inserting the word ‘work’, which of course has been omitted, as if it were there, plain as day !

Its nothing earthshattering of course and its not going to do anything that will prove innocence/guilt or have the case thrown out, whatever but, to me, it told me right off, it was fake, an amatuer, a ‘troll’ attempting to fool the denizens of digital discourse. Either that or the ‘judges’ (spit) legal secretary is seriously incompetent. I doubt that the latter is the case though. I think its just a trollish screw up. I see amatuer memes that have similar mistakes like this all of the time. Give someone ‘MS Paint’ , a few simple instructions and they’re off to the races !

You forgot the Climate Change elephant in the room of the Leftist authoritarians. The German elite fascist left and the communist Greens have wrecked German industry by stripping out energy from Germany’s industrial and scientific core.

Electors thought that they could depend on political rhetoric to keep them warm, industries wheels turning and the good live …. just happening like communist Green’s fairy dust was suppose to happen. They were WRONG and it’s going to be a cold winter in ’24- ’25 when the energy runs out and the new Conservative French Assembly switch Germany … OFF… and keep their nuclear power for themselves.

    Very cool.
The National WWI War Museum and Memorial (Kansas City MO) opened an exhibit featuring my great grandfather’s decorated envelopes sent to his son, my great Uncle Walter, who served in the Army Signal Corps / Balloon Corps.

In February 1918, Walter Myers headed for a training camp at San Antonio, Texas. He wrote back home to Steubenville, Ohio, “all is OK.” Like many fathers, John Ross Myers sent a letter of reply to his son in camp.

Unlike many fathers, John Ross Myers was a professionally trained artist who owned a print shop in Ohio and painted theatrical scenery. On envelopes carrying letters to Walter, John carefully painted cartoons, scenes of camp life, patriotic symbols, mythological figures and expressive scenes of the American Expeditionary Forces at work “over there.”

Why does it seem that folks who have their ‘shit’ together and are attempting to live by traditional moral codes seem to be getting decisions right all the time. Meanwhile those who aren’t in that place, seem to be forever deep in the ‘shit’ and seem to always be on the bad and sad side of the ledger.

That’s not to say that those with their ‘shit’ together never fall off the bike! But what separates them is that they recognise their mistakes and make a conscious effort to get right back up and climb back on that bike even when it’s a challenge sometimes.

It seems natural that these flawed individuals with their ‘shit’ together, most of the time, actually make decisions that almost always turn out to be valid and true. What we experience as secular decisions that demand a choice, also seem to be masking a covert non-secular battle, that drives those overt decisions. It’s difficult to put your finger on the drivers behind decision making, but ‘gut instinct’ seems to be well to the fore when those decisions that tend to turn out to be both valid and true.

    Funny that!

Anyway an update on Mein Kampf ( which is German for ” My Struggle” ) and weight loss.

Heading in the right direction, rate of weight loss is slowing down as the initial weight loss was due to water associated with loss of glycogen stores, and initial fat loss.

Urine tests confirm I am burning fat as fuel even when I do not actually eat any fat. So my body has switched metabolic state from being carbohydrate based to fat based.

Now the challenge is to get my daily intake of calories way down. Fats, proteins and carbs. Aiming for a few days of 500.

That means I have to quit my daily six pack of Michelob Ultra as that is currently HALF my daily calorie intake. Do not know why I even drink it anymore because at a rate of a six pack a day I never get shit faced and pass out, so what is the point?

As to essential nutrients I am taking men complete multivitamins and also women multivitamins. The one a day complete kind. Interesting fact is neither provide 100% of everything.

Noticeably the men version has ZERO iron.

Cauliflower, spinach, cucumbers and Skinny Girl salad dressings are my friends.

Made a bologna and lettuce sandwich weighing the bread I used, 50g, but pushing my carb limit. 22g carbs.

Anyway, no mater how hard I tried I could not spit it back out. Swallowed the whole sandwich. A piss test 2 hours later told me I didn’t do any damage to my metabolism.

As you mentioned birds, I thought of Cormorants used for catching fish. They put a ring around the bird’s neck so it can’t swallow the fish.

This is my coolest ride a Chipmunk aerobat. The deHaverland trainer that replaced the Tiger Moth. Felt like riding a WWII fighter. Underpowered to hell but a great little airplane that was more complex than it needed to be but for a good reason. It was a trainer and had built in design that made you concentrate and get used to more complex airplanes. Very cool. Got just under 100 hours on type. Mostly upside down and pulling G.

Had a fly of a twin Dornier Short Take off and Landing airplane.

Great aircraft and a fine for STOL strips in the back blocks in New Guinea.

    https://duckduckgo.com/?t=h_&q=dornier+do+28+aircraft&iax=videos&ia=videos&iai=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DXtOS4uBl9YY

The one I had a play with flew flawlessly until a few months after I had gone back to Vanimo strip in NW New Guinea the Dornier has a little ‘whoops’! The guy who flew it all over the Eastern highlands of PNG told a local guy looking after a short strip with a 45 degree half way down the strip, to …. ” go raise ’em all the bullamacows off the place Balis” … (AKA move all of the cattle off the airstrip) as he was about to take off.

The local who looked after the strip and cut the grass did a great job moving the cattle BUT he left the HORSES behind! ‘The captain belong balis (AKA the pilot) rounder the dog leg half way down the strip and discovered 20 horses !

He kicked a boot full of rudder trying to ‘ground loop’ and airplane and stop, but ran into half a ton of horse, which did the horse no good at all and tore off the Port winglet and attached port engine and the D0-28 ended up in a 2 metre deep monsoon drain. This did no good at all to the Dornier 28 , and it was written off!

What a waste of a perfect light twin STOL airplane.

Now if you want a serious STOL airplane then there is nothing better than a Helio Courier.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXoWf94wNDA

Used a LOT in Cambodia, Laos and ‘Nam by the CIA during the ‘nam’ war for covert personal insertion as well as in the New Guinea Aitupe Mission station. A crazy Scot-Pole pilot named Marak Klinski flew one out od Aitupe mission station down the north coast of PNG between Vanimo and Wewak. His father flew for the Royal Air Force in 1940-1945 in the Polish squadrons of the RAF fighter command. Josep Klinski ended up marring a Scots girl and Marak popped our in 1946 ready to go fly!

Marak the son flew a Piper Comanche on the London to Melbourne air race and then ended up flying a Helio for the Franciscan missions in Aitupe. He scared the living shit out of mess the Helio had SPAN wide leading slats that were spring loaded. At about 10 feet and just above 40 knots there was a huge BANG as the springs popped back into the wing leading edge and I almost emptied my bowels as I thought we were about to DIE! Marak thought it was terrible funny.

The Helio didn’t actually have a minimum speed. Somewhere in the manuals there was a speed of 28MPH (Not knots … bloody MILES PER HOUR) where gravity sucked harder than the lift sucked us upwards and the airplane just settled down s-l-o-w-l-y!
From memory the Helio cruised well over 120-140 Knots and had about a 900 mile range
    What an aircraft!
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXoWf94wNDA

One day at Vanimo strip in PNG I watched this ultra STOL airplane land into a 30 knot Easterly blowing straight down the strip. The airplane approached the end of the Vanim strip with my taxiway and hangar right at the end of the strip. The airplane was doing about 40 knots True airspeed with a ground speed of 10 knots. It crawled over the end of the strip and based the taxiway turn-off at 10 feet above the ground and flew another 20 years further on . Then maintained 10 feet and pulled the power back tad and the airplane actually flew BACKWARDS into a 30 know headwind. When abeam the taxiway turn off he put the airplane the last 10 feet in the air onto the ground. This magnificent flying machine landed VERTICALLY and its wheels DIDN’T ROTATE.

WE all raced out and grabbed onto the wingtips and fuselage and held it onto the ground and the driver nodded his head and we eased off leaning on the airplane and the guys on the upswing side hanged off the wingtip as the aircraft was turned cross-wind and it taxied towards my hangar.

The Helio Courier. What a magnificent airplane.

I know that you do NOT believe that the Helio can fly backwards but in a 30 Knot headwind with an ability to stay airborne at 28MPH (about 25 Knots) you can Actually fly BACKWARDS and land VERTICALLY just as long as you have a bit of finesse on the throttle and don’t over-control on ailerons. After all you have a whole 5 knots ‘differential’ between TAS (True Airspeed) and Ground speed. Seeing a fixed wing airplane flying backwards and landing vertically is quite a spectacle!

North Korea Added 20 Nukes to Its Arsenal in 2023
North Korea is believed to possess 50 nuclear weapons – 20 more than in the past year, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) revealed in its annual report published on Monday on global militaries.

SIPRI’s “Yearbook 2024 Armaments, Disarmament and International Security” reportassesses the known arsenals of nuclear states as well as global military development. It once again found that the vast majority of known nuclear weapons are in the possession of America and Russia, but that communist China is making significant efforts to expand and modernize its own arsenal. Notably, the report documented “the first time China is believed to have some warheads on high operational alert” in 2024.

“SIPRI estimates that the country has now assembled around 50 warheads and possesses enough fissile material to reach a total of up to 90 warheads,” the report found, “both significant increases over the estimates for January 2023.”

“While North Korea conducted no nuclear test explosions in 2023, it appears to have carried out its first test of a short-range ballistic missile from a rudimentary silo,” SIPRI noted. “It also completed the development of at least two types of land-attack cruise missile (LACM) designed to deliver nuclear weapons.”

In 2023, SIPRI estimated that North Korea possessed 30 assembled warheads. North Korea has not tested a nuclear weapon since 2017 but regularly threatens to use its nuclear weapons against South Korea, in which it is in a state of formal war halted only by an armistice agreement signed in 1953.

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the state news outlet of North Korea, announced in April that Kim Jong-un had allegedly led a “combined tactical drill simulating a nuclear counterattack,” an escalation implying North Korea was preparing to use a nuclear bomb. The drill allegedly sent “a clear warning signal to the enemies as it was conducted at a time when the enemies’ military confrontation racket against the DPRK [North Korea] is being committed with extremely provocative and aggressive nature.”

North Korea’s 50 warheads were counted alongside a complete global nuclear tally of 12,121 existing warheads as of January 2024. About a third of these – 3,904 – are believed to be actively deployed. Over 90 percent of them belong to Russia.

I wonder how many people realize that when warheads are dismantled under arms reduction treaties, the fissile materials are just put into storage?

We have about 87 tons of plutonium in storage, along with nearly 500 tons of highly enriched uranium. They really should figure out something to do with the latter, since we don’t actually use it anymore. I’m about 99% certain that every warhead in our current inventory is plutonium based.

The bill, which had already passed in the state Senate, covers a variety of technological interventions. They include theoretical ideas about cooling the climate by an approach known as solar radiation modification, as well as more limited practices that affect the weather, like cloud seeding, a technique used to increase rain and snowfall.

    HEH!

    🙂

When we did our Boeing 737 conversion there were four of us and an instructor with a huge handlebar moustache. We all got a turn at altitude finding the edges of the flight envelope with the instructor in the Port seat. Steep turns and stalling with varying flap and gear settings. Flapless approaches and engine out go arounds with a soft base and such . Then we headed low over the Canterbury Plains and fooled about generally having serious fun. The Boeing 737 empty can out climb and OUT TURN an old A-4 Skyhawk which were the standard Kiwi fighter way back then. This fact really PISSED off the ‘knuckle-heads’ from 75 squadron 🙂

Then we headed down to 500 All for some illicit low flying as airlines seem to be a bit against low flying airliners for some unknown reason, but we owned the sky from 500 feet to FL 400 so why not ?

WE found the Instructors farm house and did rate two turns overhead at 500 feet until his good lady wife came out onto the verandah waving a white sheet at us. Did a few low slow passes and chandelles and then did some serious high speed passes at low altitude at Mach .72 and a pull up into a blue sky over the farmhouse to finish off.

We all passed the Check Out

Yup I’d say that practically all warheads have Pu cores these days. When Oz decided to go nuclear with Brit help although the AAEC (Australian Atomic Energy Commission) owned all of the tech from the fissile and thermo-nuclear designs that the UK used so all we needed was the fuel. That was going to be produced by twin breeder reactors at Nowra a Naval Aviation Station down the coast south of Sydney….. Until the Kennedy Administration UN DECIDED Oz going nuclear. Which rather pissed off both the Brits and Aussies. The US were worried about nuclear proliferation it seemed.

Two decades later Brisbane University and the Australian National University in Canberra physics departments invented a highly classified tech that got rid of the need for the nominal enrichment processes. The US had a ‘Connumption fit’ and demanded that Australia give the US the tech and restrict the processed to remain for US and Australian eyes ONLY. The fear was that any man or his dog could produce cheap fissile material to 90% easily, and that terrified the US Administration! Otherwise anyone could isolate bomb grade fissile material. The US even refused to allow the Brits to get access to the tech! And that’s where it remains today!

Those were introduced in the late 1950s and withdrawn from service in the late 1980s. Major pain in the ass to deal with.

The missus isn’t talking to me.
She just got back from dental surgery, got a plate installed. Her four lower front teeth were removed in May because the other teeth had shifted over time – three fit, four don’t – she’ll get some bolt-ons next month.

Meanwhile she’s quiet, ice pack on her jaw, eyeballing the codeine.

The Warning is getting a huge break next week. They just learned that they’re playing on Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday, the 27th, meaning almost to the moment when their new album is released at midnight that night. As much as I dislike Kimmel, the exposure is going to be huge for them in the US.

I’m confused. What is this stuff about chem trails? Are they a real thing? Any pic I see just looks like a plane contrail. No big deal.

    Anybody? Bueller?

    huh
    https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2024/06/why_are_nypd_uniforms_cruiser_decals_and_radios_going_missing_in_droves.html

So what are the other implications? Well, my first thought is that President Trump is set to be sentenced in less than a month, and if the corrupt Judge Juan Merchan decides to send him to jail, how can we know if the cops are legitimate cops? It was a thought that actually occurred to me frequently as I watched him deliver post-trial press conferences with an array of ostensible NYPD officers in the background—I mean they could be anybody, and do I think the New York government is willing, let alone able, to take the necessary steps to ensure Trump’s safety? Absolutely not.

    oh, morning y’all

    and this to think about

    https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2024/06/16/the-guy-who-organizes-ballot-counting-says-election-results-will-not-match-polling/

This is the challenge to overcome in the 7 to 11 counties where the 2024 operation will be executed. The ballot fraud operation is not a massive conspiracy or large-scale enterprise, it is less than a dozen counties strategically located in key states.

    yup, just like last time

No, they’re not. It’s just some nutcase garbage.

It’s all based on the fact that contrails produced by modern airliners look and behave differently from the ones from the ’60s and ’70s. There’s a good reason for that, though. The engines used today are different. Early jets used turbojet engines. Modern ones use high-bypass turbofans. They produce a “fluffier” contrail. People have decided that means they’re spraying some unknown chemicals under orders from the government, apparently.

    Like I said, nutcases.

They are, because Biden refuses to do what’s necessary to stop them.

    A boring post.

So, after a month of logging everything I eat and drink on a spreadsheet I am down from 221 pounds on the 16th May to 205 pounds on 18th June.

Average daily calorie intake 1554, and I have not been hungry and kind of eating when and what I wanted.

Eat less calories than you burn per day and you lose weight. It is not rocket science.

However one thing has been a constant. A six pack of Michelob Ultra per day. 762 calories and $10

So doing the math I have been eating about 800 calories per day of real food and wasting $10 on beer per day.

Next stage is cutting out the beer and eating the same. I will be better off financially!!!!!!!

Speaking of “cheap fakes,” they’re trying to claim that Trump had to be led off stage last night, just like Obama. Only problem is, there’s video showing him walking off stage. He reached down and grasped Don Jrs hand for like a half second as he walked by:

I stumbled into a group of chemtrail “experts” on the Xwitter who were in a tizzy, posting photos of the skies around the London area and getting each other panicky. I dropped images of live local air traffic maps, politely told them not to worry. Most of them blocked me.
