Play nice!
I had a thought today that did not involve what to have for lunch and how many calories it was. Actually lunch will involve roasted Brussels sprouts and chicken and Alfredo sauce triggered by something I saw on X.
Anyway, Russia, aka USSR or CCCP was the enemy of the USA in the 50s to the late 80s. The goal was to stop the spread of communism! Korea, Vietnam and all the other waste of American lives.
I am stupid but I do not think Russia as it is now is a communist country or a threat to life as we now know it.
So, why is Russia still regarded as the number one enemy?
Anyway looking forward to my sprouts. Steamed then sauted ( that is french for jumped ) in coconut oil then oven fried for 10 minutes at 400F
PS Bunk fucked up the game by starting a new thread. I had it nailed and he ruined it.
PPS Mr Coldwarrior, can you please change the time of posts to military time? Preferably ZULU so I can play the game in another five and a half hours.
Thanks in advance.
I once liked Mike Pompeo. Since the last Trump admin it’s come out that he threatened to resign if Trump pardoned Assange and actually wanted to kill him.
And now we learn it was Pompeo who persuaded Trump not to release the files on RFK/JFK assassinations, saying it would be ‘catastrophic’
My question: How the fuck did Pompeo know what’s in the files?

Pompeo was indeed the Director of the CIA and reading between the lines he was playing ‘defence’ for all of the CIA cock-ups and straight out extra-judicial killing the agency had been involved in over the years. All well and good I hear you say. Fair enough as the spy game uses extra judicial murder as a stock in trade go to default. It’s a rough game to be in. We all understand that!
Unfortunately when the murders get a bit too close to home it becomes tricky, especially when the overthrow of legitimate administrations both away (dodgy at least when it involves allied nation states) and especially AT HOME (when the CIA is breaking the law). Treason anyone? As usual the ensuing ‘COVER-UP’ becomes the driving force of administrative institutional angst. Pompeo fell into the trap that the CIA, and for that matter many of the ‘alphabet’ agencies fall into eventually, when they run off the page covering their agendas and rules under which they operate. Politicisation will trip up agencies eventually every time. They never seem to learn from their past failures. Pompeo was just the latest in a long and sorry list of Directors who went ‘off reservation’ and spent the rest of their miserable lives attempting unsuccessfully trying to sweep the dirt under the carpet.
The US is currently suffering a rash of Agencies’ politicisation’, that always ends up in tears. The USSS, FBI and NSA are just the latest in a long line of political capture, illicit action, and subsequent attempts at ‘cover-ups’, that eventually leak and destabilise the organisational structure of these agencies. It’s always better to hang the malefactors out to dry, reorganise and move on!
Cover-ups always leak eventually, and the best that can be done is postpone the day of reckoning long enough that the ‘guilty bastards’, who tried to cover up their crimes, are all dead and in their graves. Pompeo has some years to go before his malfeasance becomes manifest. He lives with the ticking of his own metaphorical ‘time-bomb’ always in his ear. ‘Being Mike’ is a bastard of a way to have to live!

Of bloody course this is a political stitch up aimed at the ‘Telegram’ app to obey the ‘diktats’ of the French State. Macron is attempting to wreck Telegram and haul it into line by threatening all sorts of nefarious charges to force compliance of the Telegram App to censor speech in Europe, and France specifically.
Macron is also trying to get at Putin by ‘monstering’ Durov. Fortunately Durov had his private jet standing by and before Macron’s cops could move Durov flew out of France back to the Caribbean where Durov also holds citizenship. What a snivelling ‘mummy’s boy Macron is who seems has degenerated into a petty tyrant who doesn’t want to see the French Parliament back in session anytime soon. BUSTED: The Biden-Harris admin has been caught using a secret rule to “Trump-proof” the Department of Justice.
Their moves suggest that a Trump comeback is imminent, and they’re laying the groundwork to undermine his power.
How are they doing this?
The answer: they’re using a loophole called the “Schedule A” hiring rule, allowing them to pack key DOJ offices with people who can’t be easily fired—even if Trump wins in 2024.
Hundreds of employees have already been brought in under this rule, bypassing the usual qualifications and ensuring they stick around, no matter who takes the next oath of office. If Trump returns, he’ll be walking into a DOJ filled with Biden appointees.
Protect the Public’s Trust (PPT) warns that placing Biden-Harris loyalists in key positions is a strategy to protect their policies, even if a future Trump or another administration tries to alter them.
This tells you that the Deep State is gearing up for a Trump presidency, and it’s about to get ugly. Watch the video for the whole story.

That’s why Trump tried to implement the Schedule F rules before he left office, in order to convert employees in “policymaking” positions to being part of what’s called the “excepted service.” That way, they can be fired at will.
This kind of crap happens at the end of every Democrat administration. They’ll take a bunch of political appointees and give them civil service positions at the last minute, so they’ll be in place to sabotage the new administration. It’s called “burrowing.”

If Trump does manage to take office again, his top priority has to be dismantling the bureaucracy. Everyone always says that it’s impossible to fire civil service employees, but that’s just because the civil service regulations say it is.
The president isn’t bound by civil service regulations. He’s the head of the Executive Branch, according to the Constitution. He can fire the entire federal workforce if he wants to. Would it result in a massive fight? Of course. But I’m almost certain the Supreme Court would agree.

This Interrogator tells it like it is. This is the best ‘from the shoulder’ description that I have heard. I have done all of the stuff Diks has and then some. My specialty was ‘ploys’! I should have won a few Academy Awards back in the day and I was quite good at playing a part. I used to say to Mrs. AI, that I knew that I was still OK, as long as I kept having nightmares about the stuff I was involved in with SAS.
I was teaching them how to last under interrogation until whatever ‘stuff’ they had in their heads, had lost its value. Then they had to break slowly, to keep themselves in one piece and survive. Then how to forgive themselves for breaking, and understanding that eventually everyone breaks, and it’s all about breaking after the information finally given up, was too late to matter over. Then how to save your own life after you had been cleaned out of useful information. It all comes down to timing keeping a clock running in your head, and report with the interrogator.
You had to have been there really, as it is so far out of left field for 99.9% of actual people. The Psychologists and doctors doing the ‘service support’ stuff in the background, admit that they are operating right up to the edge a lot of the time. I am convinced that we actually crossed the boundary on many occasions, and caused both physical and psychological damage to Resistance to Interrogation Training for ‘prone to capture’ military, such as pilots, Special Forces and divers. You have to adhere to the reality that interrogators have limited resources in trained staffing and time constraints, and it comes down to not wasting resources on those who don’t know much and just waste lean resources.
For those under interrogation it comes down to ….
NOT getting selected for deep interrogation
Keep your internal clock going so that you know when the information you have has lost its ‘shelf life’
NOT beating yourself up unnecessarily and putting internal pressure on oneself
Knowing the tactics to eventually saving yourself and not blaming yourself
There are two types under interrogation ‘Neanderthals’ and ‘Jedi Masters’. Don’t get ‘selected’ and be a Jedi Master!

@ Possum:
UK wiring is based on the ring main concept. 30 amp cables connect to each wall socket, but in a ring. a continuous path that goes back to the fuse box that has a 30 amp breaker. Even if the ring is broken the 30 amp breaker still protects the 30 amp cables that are connected.
30 amps per wall socket! No, the plugs that plug into the wall sockets are individually fused to protect down stream equipment. Maximum 13 amps.
Example, a heater giving out 3000 wats would need a 13A fuse in the plug.
A bedside lamp then a 1A fuse is appropriate.
Fuses are or should be inserted into circuits to protect the downstream appliances.

@ lobo91:
The breaker in the basement protects the house wiring. In the UK there is one ” ring main ” per floor, that is 30A cable is used to supply all the wall sockets on that floor and it connects all of them then returns to the basement. So in reality each wall socket is supplied by two 30A cables.
So a short in the house wiring will cause the main breaker to trip, the cables in the wall can handle a short of over 30A without bursting into flames.
Now, as to the appliances connected to the wall socket. If they develop a fault and say, start pulling 20A the main breaker will not trip. But the skinny little wire they are connected to the wall with cannot handle 20A without melting the insulation and bursting into flames.
Hence the fuse in the plug. It is rated at a value that is less than the burst into flames rating of the equipment it is protecting. Say a 1A fuse for a bedside lamp, 5A fuse for a toaster, 10A fuse for an air fryer and the maximum allowed is 13A usually for a heater.
In the USA in my apartment my little fan with a very skinny electrical cord is protected by a 20A breaker in the bedroom closet. If it develops a fault its little skinny power cord will alert me to the fact well before a breaker trips as it will start dripping molten plastic and will start glowing.
PS NEVER accidentally barefoot step on a UK power plug, it is a thousand times worse than treading on LEGO

@ Aussie Infidel:
I’m going to have to read that TWICE.
On Brazilian Justice de Moreas’s order shutting down X:
The text of his 51-page decision is far more concerning and sweeping than the headlines suggest.
de Moreas’s own words make clear that he is attempting to strike a broader blow against free speech and in favor of authoritarian controls.
His opinion does not even try to hide it. He comes right out and points to Brexit and the 2016 election of President Trump as examples, in his telling, of the types of extreme “populist” outcomes that he is attempting to avoid by imposing a new censorship regime in Brazil ahead the country’s elections later this year.
But this type of censorship of a political and ideological nature is expressly prohibited by Brazil’s own Constitution.
Nonetheless, de Morea argues that free speech on X cannot be allowed to continue because the diversity of political opinions expressed on the site might influence the people of Brazil ahead of their 2024 elections. See op. at 31-32.
In other words, de Morea is arguing that free speech is a threat to democracy—a position that is as Orwellian as it is dangerous.
The opposite is true. Free speech is democracy’s check on excessive government control. Censorship is the authoritarian’s dream.
To dress up his decision, de Morea runs the warmed over playbook of labeling political speech that runs contrary to his own orthodoxy as “misinformation” and “disinformation.” But authoritarians like de Morea are not worried that people will be misled by the political messages they choose to read. He is worried that those messages will be effective.
At bottom, this decision is part of a live, ongoing, and global debate between free speech and censorship, between freedom and control. It is imperative that free speech and freedom prevail.
Or as the late NY Times editor John Oakes once said, “Diversity of opinion is the lifeblood of democracy. The minute we begin to insist that everyone think the same way we think, our democratic way of life is in danger.” Those are the stakes.

Got dead laptop running. Was very surprised that when I took it apart stickers inside had a manufacturing date of 08. I bought it new but cheap in 2017 for $256 I remember what I paid as 256 is a binary number.
Ideapad 110.
Anyway it did the job OK when I bought it and now with a new ( LMAO date on hard drive I used was 2019 ) it runs again. Perfect for use during power outages.
Only problem is keyboard got pissed on and numeric keypad and top two rows of keys do not work. I have a $13 real Lenovo keyboard for it but replacing it means taking the laptop completely apart. Later models of Ideapad 110 the keyboard just pops out of the front.
Was using the bloody thing with a pissed on keyboard by attaching a USB keyboard and mouse to it. Really not going to risk destroying it by trying to replace the keyboard.
Unless I get drunk and adventurous. I has tools and a little pot to put the screws in…..

Talking of screws and little pots. When I was much younger and more fun I worked in an electronics repair place. 19 or so.
There was one big, fat asshole who worked in the repair shop too. I hated him.
When you take shit apart you put all the screws in a little pot. When you put the shit back together after fixing it there should be no screws left in the little pot.
You guessed it. Whenever he left his workbench to go take a piss or grab a coffee I casually wandered by and dropped a random screw into his little screw pot.
Yep! hours then spent taking the shit apart again trying to find where the ” missing ” screw went.
I have always been an asshole…..
This is interesting audio. There was an incident about 10 days ago involving a USAF KC-46 (the new tanker version of the Boeing 767 that’s supposed to replace the 60 year old KC-135) and a flight of two F-15Es that were on a combat air patrol enforcing the no-fly zone around Biden’s vacation stay in Santa Barbara.
While refueling one of the fighters, the KC-46’s boom broke off, seriously damaging the F-15 as well. The damaged fighter tried to land at the Fresno airport (twice!) and broke the arresting cables on both runways. It eventually ended up landing at NAS Leemore on fumes:

Cody’s microchip isn’t connected to anything else, though. It just transmits a number to a hand-held scanner. If you enter the number into a website, it gives you my contact information. It’s basically just putting a serial number on him, just like the VIN on a car.
It doesn’t allow him to unlock doors or buy stuff, and it’s a passive chip. It doesn’t broadcast his location 24/7.
@ lobo91:
That is what a chip in a human does. It uniquely identifies the implant at very short range.
You do know how these chip things in dogs work?
They are not powered, they have no batteries.
Wave a wand at one at the right frequency and the antenna in the chip powers up the chip and it transmits a code.
Wrap Codi’s neck in tinfoil and he is invisible.
Actually tinfoil does not work. There is an alloy called Mu-Metal A nickel and iron alloy that once was cheap because in the 1980s it was used to shield the neck of cathode ray tubes so the stray electronical stuff would not screw up the rest of the electronics.
Now Mu-Metal is expensive and sold on conspiracy websites.

In Florida? Does DeSantos know about this?
Florida Parents Partner with IJ to Shut Down Dystopian “Predictive Policing” Program
Pasco County Residents Challenge Sheriff’s Harassment Based on Potential “Future Crimes”
The Sheriff’s Office of Pasco County, Florida, harasses people in their own homes using a method they call “predictive policing.” The program has unfolded like a dystopian nightmare for the Pasco County residents it has ensnared, who have been subjected to near-constant police surveillance and harassment. The Sheriff’s Office claims the program’s goal is to predict and prevent crime before it happens by targeting people they suspect may commit crimes in the future, dubbing the approach “intelligence-led policing.” This euphemism may make it seem like there’s thoughtfulness to the approach, but there’s nothing fair or smart about it.
Using a crude computer algorithm, the Sheriff’s Office creates a list of people they think are likely to commit crimes in the future. It places people on the list based on their criminal record, but also based on things that the person may not have been able to control, such as whether they have been suspected of a crime, whether they witnessed a crime or even whether they were a victim of a crime. The Sheriff’s Office calls the people on the list “prolific offenders.”
Then, deputies are sent out to monitor, intimidate and harass people on the list. The deputies are instructed to gather as much information as possible about their targets, and routinely show up unannounced at people’s houses to interrogate them about their friends, their families and their comings and goings. Dalanea Taylor, who was placed on the prolific offender list because she had been incarcerated as a teenager, was harassed by Pasco deputies for years after she was released and had turned her life around.
Code enforcement is a favorite tactic for ensuring compliance during the deputies’ visits. To coerce people into letting the deputies into their home or answering their questions—or sometimes purely to intimidate them—the deputies slap their victims with citations for innocuous offenses like missing house numbers on the mailbox, chickens in the back yard or unmowed grass on the lawn. By design, family members of prolific offenders are ensnared by the program too. Robert Jones had a son on the prolific offender list, and Pasco deputies showed up at his door multiple times a week asking about his son. When the deputies decided that he wasn’t cooperating fully, they wrote him multiple citations for tall grass and other similar property code violations. They even arrested him several times on bogus charges.
Tammy Heilman and Dolly Deegan, who both had sons on the list, also received multiple citations for thousands of dollars in fines for code enforcement violations.
Worse, the motivation of the program is more sinister than merely “fighting crime”: The Sheriff’s Office acknowledged that they want these “problem people” gone. Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco, the architect of the program, boasted that the goal was to predict which residents are likely to commit crimes and then “take them out.” In the words of a former Pasco County deputy, they were under orders to “[m]ake their lives miserable until they move or sue.”
Experts on policing have roundly criticized Pasco County’s practices, pointing out that it is based on junk science and could tend to reinforce racially biased policing practices.
But the Sheriff’s use of predictive policing is not only methodologically shaky; it’s unconstitutional. The government cannot harass you in your home just because it has decided that you or someone you live with might someday do something wrong. That’s why Robert, Dalanea, Tammy, and Dolly have decided to challenge Pasco’s program, alongside the Institute for Justice, in court to affirm the basic principle that there is no such thing as “innocent until predicted guilty.”

Oh well…
A boring Sunday afternoon technical Windows post for old people.
You ever watch a TV show or a movie where the action sequences are really loud and hurts your old and tired ears but if you turn down the volume then you cannot hear what people are saying in the quiet parts?
There is a solution.
Right click on the sound icon on the task bar. Then left click on “open sound settings” That opens the control panel.
Click on ” device properties ” then find the link under related settings and click on ” Additional device properties ”
That opens another window, select the ” enhancements” tab, check the ” loudness equalization” box then apply.
Quiet parts are then louder and the loud parts are less loud. Evens shit out.
As I got anew computer a couple of days ago had to do this as the movie I am watching is VERY loud when the shooting starts but the quiet times are very quiet.
Or alternatively you could buy a very expensive hearing aid, they do the same trick.
@ Possum:
Odd coincidence. I just stumbled upon the volume equalization on Saturday. Now the missus doesn’t snore as loudly, but my farts wake her up.
@ Bunk Five Hawks X:
Um, I have a strange feeling that it isn’t the loudness of your farts that wake her up.
Cats do not fart, well they may but all that fur muffles the sound.
Natasha wakes me up at about 3-4am.
When she goes and does cat things in the litter box.

That was how we got so far because we were NOT ideologues but cultural supporters with not a sniff of ideology. As we highlighted earlier this week, Democrats in the House are attempting to have the FEC issue rules to enable censorship of images created specifically by the Grok, the AI developed by Elon Musk’s X.
@ rain of lead:
Personally I would like any image or video that is produced using AI to have a coloured stripe in one corner indicating it is not real.
That way you could still admire, appreciate, laugh at that creation without it being mis-interpreted.
Not censor images created by AI but they are marked as such.

We tracked and identified ‘who’s who in the zoo!’ The Soviets thought that NZ was a weak spot and sent the newbie spooks to NZ first because they erroneously assessed NZ as a ‘(ahem) ‘safe’ exposure posting for their post trainee newby spooks. Did they ever get that wrong! The newby spooks were careful but it wasn’t too difficult to ID where in the ‘pecking order they were. The Embassy was a ‘hot-house’ of pressure and it was the families who leaked, as there were very few Kiwis who could be trusted. Non-ideological Kiwis were light on the ground.Once you were trusted and non-ideological the doors opened and over the years opened further and further as families felt comfortable to vent their spleen and decompress to trusted people.

I love cooking, I knows all about cooking.
For tonight supper I thought about cooking Bombay Duck. I have left over potatoes and curry powder and tomato bouillon and onions and diced tomatoes in a can so I thought I could make a realistic Texas version.
In England the dish Bombay Duck is quite a joke, there is absolutely no duck involved at all. It is a side dish of potatoes in a curry sauce. So I googled a recipe.
Imagine my surprise! The sauce on the potatoes contains fish. A specific kind of fish which is dried then flaked and added to the sauce the potatoes are cooked in.
Looks like Bombay Duck is off the menu tonight. Going to make a chicken curry instead. Slow simmered in a crockpot.
What is the fish that is dried and used to season the wonderful dish I cannot make?
A fish called, wait for it, a Bombay Duck! or Harpadon nehereus if you speak Latin.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bombay_duck
( wondering if using a can of sardines in the sauce would work instead, I has cans of sardines, and fancy feast and Friskies pate available )
Damn, the chicken is already included in supper for tonight. Wish I had found this one earlier.
Maybe next Sunday.

You misunderstood. I was always working against the Russians but they didn’t realise that. The reason why I was NOT seen as a threat towards them was that I was never an Ideological Marxist from a Western country and therefore I was NOT a traitor to the West. My cover was always cultural and never political. That made me no threat, and I certainly never showed any political leanings, just cultural ones. The hate towards Western Marxist ideologues that was endemic amongst Russian intel professionals didn’t apply to us. We were seen as no threat and we certainly didn’t pick up the Russian Intel professionals’ hate of Western Marxists(who the Russians classed as Western traitors who couldn’t be trusted) that the Russian Intel Intel community found so reprehensible. Over the years we just blended into a cultural background and became invisible. The Russian Intel professionals were proud of having us as non-political average Westerners who happened to love Russian culture. The Russians were actually embarrassed to be in the same function as Western hard core Marxists, whom they considered traitors to Western mores. Loads of belugas caviar, good Russian Vodka and loads of tickets when the Bolshoi was in town. Hell I was even invited to drive their latest Mercedes. I became family friends with the Russian families and observes them at play and when facing the usual day to day angst. They even asked me to do the odd ‘meet and greet’ in Auckland when they had Russian luminaries passing through Auckland, on their way to the capital.
I had the Resident and his wife for dinner one night. That particular Resident was of the ‘dirty fingernail Brigade’ ! They were degenerate arseholes and his Resident’s wife was on the end of his fist on occasion. The dangerous ones were the really smart urban guys and you had to be VERY careful, when at the same time NOT looking that you were being careful! My #1 son at 6 months old was woken by this Neanderthal Resident and was being bounced on the Resident’s knee ‘post dinner’ when #1 son had a brown eruption through a white ‘stretch and grow’ and diaper all over the Residents suit. Externally I was full of apologies and offers to have his suit pants dry-cleaned. Internally I was yelling inside my head….. “that’s my boy there! ….. shit on this piece of *** rubbish!

On Putin’s second visit, he was sent from Singapore where he’d been on posting, to investigate the loss of the Russian Cruise ship the MV Lermentov. Totally accidentally I happened to have be aboard the MV Lermentov when it was berthed in Auckland immediately prior to its terminal sailing. Just a single casualty, a Russian Engineering Officer who drowned at his station. The hundreds of Australian pensioners aboard were all efficiently got into the lifeboats before the ship rolled onto its side and sank near Queen Charlotte Sound at the top of the South Island. The blame was with the Kiwi marine pilot, who had a rush of blood to the head and decided to take a ‘short cut’ between the top of the South Island and some offshore large rocks of small islands! He drove the MV Lermentov onto a reef at speed and tore the guts out of the ship! And NO it wasn’t my fault!

A Monday afternoon thought. It may be interesting for pilots or people that live in their mother’s basement and play video games with a joystick all day and night.
The Airbus aircraft do not have a steering wheel that the pilots can hang onto like in the movies where they are sweating profusely as the plane plummets towards the Earth and they are yelling at each other ” Pull up! ”
Airbus has a tiny joystick at the side of the cockpit. Just like a cheap video game uses. Seems to work ok.
Now, my thought is, when in training and then becoming a first officer you sit on the right side of the cockpit. Thus you use your right hand to fly the aircraft. It takes years sitting in the right seat before you are qualified to be a captain.
The captain sits in the left seat, and so the left hand seat person uses their left hand to fly the aircraft. A newly qualified captain is dangerous.
Don’t know about anyone else but after many years using my right hand to do something then having to use my left hand instead would be next to impossible to do instinctively.
@ Possum:
A simple test. Get a pen and a sheet of paper.
Place the pen in the opposite hand you normally write with then try writing.
This does not apply to left handed Catholics as they are ambidextrous, they had the left handedness beaten out of them when they were small children. Only for it to return in later life.

BREAKING: Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans has ruled that illegal immigrants do not have the right to bear arms under the Second Amendment.
https://x.com/LeadingReport/status/1830680870962823265
@ eaglesoars:
YES THEY DO!!!!!!!
I knows this shit.
The 2nd amendment is one of the ten amendments that is the bill of rights.
The bill of rights applies to EVERYONE on American soil regardless of their immigration status. That even applies to someone from Finland taking a week vacation at Disneyland.
Now, that is where STATE law takes over, a tourist can be banned from purchasing or carrying a gun.
See where I am going with this?
@ Possum:
That is why Guantanamo exists, to circumvent the bill of rights. If the prisoners were detained in the USA they would have rights. Like the speedy trial stuff.
2024 citizen questions straight out of the horses mouth. USCIS which you lot never have to deal with.
https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/questions-and-answers/100q.pdf
The answers are given in italics. Now don’t cheat, you need to get 95 out of 100 to become an American citizen. You get less than that and as a current American citizen you should be kicked out of this fine country.
Question 51 is what I am talking about.

And just to add more confusion before I go for my afternoon nap and set my alarm for 2am EST so as to play the game.
An example of how the constitution and the bill of rights is outdated and how states can circumvent it.
2nd amendment and right to bear arms.
But not if you are a convicted felon on parole, or in some states for five years after your release from prison, or in some states never again.
Seems like state laws override the bill of rights.

The 2nd does not make the distinction so that is why I say the ruling is not correct.
Now as to what I feel is correct is the application of statutes, laws, restrictions being imposed that modify the intention of the amendments.
2nd says ” Every person has the right to bear arms ”
But, then we have the hundreds of laws that say ” except for people who.. ”
I doubt an illegal invader would pass the FBI background check for example.
@ Possum:
Correct. On the ATF Form 4473, Question 21L asks “Are you an alien illegally or unlawfully in the United States?” Checking Yes is an automatic denial.
Question 21M asks if you are an alien admitted on a non-immigrant visa. Again, a Yes answer is disqualifying.
@ lobo91:
That question 21M also stops the person from Finland on a week vacation to Disneyland getting a gun.

The thing that really makes me smile is the fact that Jose Paz Medina-Cantu who appealed to the New Orleans-based 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals was told that Second Amendment rights do not apply to those who have entered the country illegally.
So illegals have no rights?
LOL that illegal who had no rights as to the 2nd had the right and was granted the right to appeal his conviction to the Court of Appeals.

I’ll get a photo next time.
@ lobo91:
I do not think I explained it correctly.
Anyone on US soil is protected by the bill of rights regardless of their immigration status.
But there are other laws which are on top of those amendments. The 2nd specifically. Jose Paz Medina-Cantu was deported previously. That means a convicted felon.
When he re-entered the USA his right to own a firearm was against the law!
If he had entered the USA armed with a leaf blower then he would be OK.
Throwing the second amendment rights into this case was not appropriate. It is not a second amendment issue.
Look at the comments on the X eagle posted. 100% pro or against guns. and most on both sides got it wrong.

Tubi is free and you do not need to register an account. If you do you can save lists of what to watch and save settings but it works without that.

The Federal leader of the Liberal (Conservative) National coalition opposition is using the power to force State Liberal Parties …. namely the Victorian, NSW, and Western Australian State Liberal Parties to reorganize their Party processes. These State Liberal Parties, over the past 3 electoral cycles, have allowed a provable infiltration of covert hard left capture of the candidate selection process. Currently the State NSW Liberal Party has had its independent control partially taken under control of the Federal Party. This is to rectify the charges that an active policy program has been ignited by a hostile covert group to seize control of candidate selection process for at least the past 3 electoral cycles in the NSW State Liberal Party.

Matt Wallace is about 85 years late to the story. The soils under Palos Verdes Peninsula have been moving since they first began building there. Although the bluffs were stablized and re-stabilized over the decades, soils engineers recently discovered the slip line is much deeper than they thought, and now things are moving fast. Gas lines were rupturing so service was cut off a month ago; electrical was shut off a day or so ago. Retirees’ multi-million dollar homes are now worth zip.

JUST IN: President Biden admits that the ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ was not actually about inflation after he started ranting without the teleprompter.
Holy sh*t.
Biden said the Inflation Reduction Act was actually about funding Climate Change efforts and said the Act should have actually been named something different.
“Through my investments, the most significant climate change law ever. And by the way, it is a $369 billion bill.”
“It’s called the [Inflation Reduction Act]. We should have named it what it was.”
CLIMATE CHANGE!!

Guys, it’s not a win that the J6 case against Donald Trump is not going to trial before the election.
What Chutkan did today by taking the rare—unprecedented?—step of allowing DOJ to file an “opening brief” on additional immunity questions is a way to put Trump on trial without a jury and little recourse.
Tom Windom, Smith’s prosecutor, told Chutkan the brief would be “comprehensive.” The document will include grand jury transcripts, 302s (FBI) and other cherry picked “evidence” to salvage the “Big Lie” narrative as people start to vote.
You can GUARANTEE DOJ will release new bombshells to put Trump on the defensive and create damaging headlines.
It’s a paper trial but without cross examination, defense witnesses, or other due process rights.
Nothing to celebrate.

Trusted sources within NYC Emergency Services have leaked to me that selected units of the NY Guard have been issued Warning orders to provide security for the NYC Court where Trump will be sentenced on Sept 16. It appears that the rumours that Trump will be held and transported to Reickers immediately post sentencing.
If these ‘Firefighters scuttle-butt’ is valid then the Court where Trump will be sentenced on Sept. 16th will indeed need quite a few members of the Guard!
Suspiciously this thread has been allowed to go on way past 300. I suspect it is due to the fact someone needed an extra point and made sure one was available to be had when the competition was curled up in bed with his cats.
That may be an unfounded accusation.
