She really needs to go away:

Liz Cheney fundraises off explosive Trump, Zelenskyy Oval Office meeting

Former Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., is fundraising off Friday’s explosive Oval Office meeting last week that left Europe and other U.S. allies shaken and frustrated.

Cheney’s group, Our Great Task, emailed donors suggesting that President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Department of Government Efficiency leader Elon Musk were “tools of the Kremlin.”

“Too many leaders in Washington are afraid to speak the truth, afraid to stand up for the fundamental values and institutions that safeguard our Republic. And now, Donald Trump is attempting to put America on Putin’s side as he continues his brutal assault on Ukraine,” the message read.

“Here’s some truth: Putin invaded Ukraine. NATO is the most successful military alliance in history. Since 1945, American leadership has ensured freedom and security for ourselves and millions of others around the world. Together with our allies, we defeated the Soviet Union — an evil empire that had to build gulags and walls to keep its own people in.”

She accused Trump of “appeasement” tactics with Russia’s strongman president, Vladimir Putin.

“Donald Trump, JD Vance and Elon Musk have made clear who they are. Only naive fools—or tools of the Kremlin—would abandon NATO, side with Russia, and demand Ukraine surrender in the face of Putin’s brutal aggression,” her email continued.

“We all have an obligation at this moment to be the guardrails of democracy, to speak truth to power to defend the rule of law, American freedom, and the Constitution itself.”

It ended with the appeal, “Please join me today — donate now to help elect leaders of courage and honor, to show that the determination of those who love freedom is greater than the dedication of those who would destroy it.”

Pick up a tube of Pillsberry croissant rolls. Lay it out hole, bake for a few minutes, then top and finish baking.

If you have a bread machine, I have a very good cracked pepper Parmesan recipe that makes an incredibly good pizza.

Military Starship: How SpaceX Is About to Make America Globally Dominant
    https://www.rodmartin.org/p/military-starship-how-spacex-is-about?r=faen9&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=email&triedRedirect=true

What SpaceX is building is more than just a rocket. Starship is a strategic weapon, not as a one-off but as a fleet. A fully reusable heavy-lift system capable of hauling 200 tons per launch per rocket is not just an engineering marvel: it’s a military revolution.

But logistics is the lifeblood of war, and Starship would make resupply and sustainment a continuous, high-speed operation. Instead of waiting weeks for sealift convoys, a division operating overseas could be resupplied from the U.S. mainland in real-time. Ammunition, fuel, medical supplies — whatever is needed — delivered from American soil directly to the battlefield in under an hour.

Notice even he uses “500g/1lb 2oz pack puff pastry thawed if frozen” and does not make his own. It is very time consuming!

I make sausage rolls, which is not a thing in the USA and I cannot understand why. You make them nasty corn dog things. Sausage rolls are sausage meat ( not a hot dog! ) wrapped in puff pastry.

Looking at the science of beef wellington it appears as if it is a cousin of baked Alaska. Which is also not a thing in the USA.

Baked Alaska, you cover ice cream in a fluffy mound of beaten egg whites then stick it in an oven. The meringue forms a protective heat shield around the ice cream and cooks and turns brown on the swirly tips but the ice cream inside stays cold and firm.

Same with beef wellington, you cook the beef to the desired done ness then cover it in a thermally protective shield of uncooked pastry and into the oven on hot it goes.

Pastry bakes but as it is protecting the beef inside the beef does not over cook.

    Now to miniaturize that….

Also having 0 debt is awful advice. I carry debt for cars, and house. Both have interest less than 4%. I make 10 to 12% and as high as 25 lately on my investments, so it would be dumb to anything more than minimum payments of each. Rich people never pay off anything, most even take new loans to just make payments. They do this to avoid ever having to pay taxes. We need to close these types of loop holes for the wealthy. It is how gov newsome can have a 10 million dollar mansion on a 200k salary

That strategy only works for the super-wealthy. People like Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos.

They’re worth hundreds of billions on paper, but it’s not cash. And they take minimal salaries from their companies each year, which is what they actually pay tax on.

They finance their lifestyles by borrowing against the value of their stock. The loan isn’t income, so it’s not taxable. And as long as the value of the stock keeps rising, they can just borrow more to pay off the previous loans.

They do not actually have an effect on China, Canada, Mexico etc. Those countries still export goods to the USA but with the added tariff we actually pay more to buy them.

What does it say about where it was made?

Now, imagine a 100% tariff on imported mice. The next mouse you buy will cost twice as much!

Chinese firm that made it still gets the same money, we just pay double.

Now, the benefit of a tariff on imported goods is that an American manufacturer of mice becomes competitive. They can now sell their mice at above the price they could sell them at when competing with cheap Chinese mice, but below the new tariff added price of the taxed Chinese versions.

It levels the playing field, making American companies viable and profitable in the face of the cheap Chinese labor and the Chinese dis regard for the dumping of toxic waste in the production of a mouse.

Problem is, there are no American manufacturers of mice! ( there may be, I ain’t Googling it LOL )

So, in conclusion, all tariffs do is increase the end price to us consumers.

    @ Possum:
Sometimes I just can’t help it. Now I got the mice thing off my chest I am going to have a made in the USA tariff free egg on toast.

Several companies in the United States are involved in the design, assembly, or distribution of computer mice, though many outsource component manufacturing overseas, particularly to Asia, due to cost efficiencies. Here are some notable American manufacturers or companies with significant U.S.-based operations related to computer mice:
    Logitech
Headquarters: Logitech has a major presence in the U.S., with its Americas headquarters in San Jose, California, though the company is technically Swiss-American (founded in Switzerland).

Manufacturing: While Logitech designs many of its mice in the U.S. and other regions, most production occurs in Asia (e.g., China). However, some assembly or final production steps for specific models may occur in the U.S. through partnerships or distributors. Logitech is a leading brand, known for models like the MX Master series and G PRO gaming mice.

Note: Some of their mice, or at least components, may be labeled “Made in the USA” when assembled domestically with imported parts.

    Microsoft
    Headquarters: Redmond, Washington.

Manufacturing: Microsoft designs its hardware, including mice, in the U.S., but like many tech companies, it outsources manufacturing primarily to Asia. Historically, Microsoft has produced popular mice like the IntelliMouse, and it continues to offer ergonomic and productivity-focused models. Some distribution or customization may occur in the U.S., but full manufacturing stateside is rare.

    HP (Hewlett-Packard)
    Headquarters: Palo Alto, California.

Manufacturing: HP produces a range of computer peripherals, including mice, often bundled with their PCs or sold separately. While HP assembles some desktop PCs and workstations in the U.S. (e.g., in Indianapolis), the mice themselves are typically manufactured overseas. However, HP collaborates with U.S.-based distributors who may offer “Made in the USA” certified mice under specific conditions (e.g., final assembly).

    Dell Technologies
    Headquarters: Round Rock, Texas.

Manufacturing: Dell designs and sells computer mice, often as part of their PC ecosystem. They assemble some computers in the U.S. (e.g., in North Carolina and Texas), but mice are generally produced abroad. Limited U.S. assembly might occur through third-party distributors for specific models.

    PureTrak
Headquarters: Based in the U.S. (specific location unclear, but associated with American gaming communities).

Manufacturing: PureTrak is a smaller company known for the Valor mouse, which has been cited in discussions (e.g., on Reddit) as potentially made in the USA. However, availability is limited, and it’s unclear if all components are domestically sourced or just assembled stateside.

    Key Observations:
Full Manufacturing vs. Assembly: Very few companies manufacture computer mice entirely in the U.S., from components to final product, due to the reliance on global supply chains for sensors, circuit boards, and plastic casings. Companies like Logitech, Microsoft, HP, and Dell often design in the U.S. and may assemble some products domestically, qualifying them as “Made in the USA” under certain trade definitions (e.g., the Federal Trade Commission’s “all or virtually all” standard).

Distributors and Custom Makers: Some U.S.-based distributors (e.g., those listed on ThomasNet) offer custom or small-batch mice assembled in the U.S., sometimes using imported parts. These are often for niche markets like industrial or medical applications.

Gaming Mice: Brands like Razer (headquartered in California) and Corsair (also California-based) design high-end gaming mice in the U.S., but production is predominantly in Asia.

Challenges in Identifying Purely American-Made Mice:
The tech industry’s globalized nature means even American companies rely heavily on Asian manufacturing hubs (e.g., China, Taiwan) for cost-effective production.

Smaller U.S. manufacturers exist but are less prominent and harder to verify without specific product-by-product data. For example, Unicomp (a Kentucky-based keyboard maker) has been noted for U.S. assembly, but there’s no clear equivalent for mice.

If you’re seeking mice explicitly manufactured in the U.S., your best bet might be smaller firms or custom distributors advertising “Made in the USA” compliance, though these are not mainstream consumer brands. For major brands like Logitech or Microsoft, their American identity lies more in design and corporate presence than in full domestic production. Let me know if you’d like me to dig deeper into a specific company or product!

MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace: I Hope Honorary Cop Child Cancer Survivor Doesn’t Kill Himself After Defending The Capitol From Trump Supporters

MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace faced immediate criticism online after finding a way to bring up January 6 in response to the youth cancer survivor President Trump made into an honorary Secret Service agent during his speech to Congress last night.

“I hope he has a long life as a law enforcement officer, but I hope he never has to defend the Capitol against Donald Trump’s supporters and if he does, I hope he isn’t one of the six who loses his life to suicide,” Wallace said. “And I hope he isn’t one that has to testify against the people who carried out acts of seditious conspiracy and then live to see Donald Trump pardon those people.”

“The president made a spectacle out of praising a young man who’s thus far survived pediatric cancer – as if the president had something to do with that,” Wallace said.

My BIL, who was completely sober, thought it would be hilarious to fill my belly button with super glue. At some point, I must have touched it, because when I woke up, I had glue partially dried in my belly button and on my finger.”

He ended up with a $2500 bill from the ER to remove it, hit up his BIL who refused to pay, so he took him to small claims court. His wife and her family sided with the perp.

There was a post on X about the Farm Service admin during the 40s and how the children of itinerant farmers and their families got fed. And that threw up memories of my grandmother again.

My grandparents lived in a little village in SW Penna where everyone worked in the mines. They were well off, my grandfather was a boss and hadn’t been underground in decades. Mimi had a beautiful veg garden and several apple and cherry trees. During the depression it was not uncommon for an out-of-work man to show up at her door asking if there was any work he could do in exchange for food. She always found something, either weeding the garden, picking fruit, raking leaves, etc. Then she’d sit them in her kitchen and serve soup or left over chicken, a sandwich and some of her homemade ice cream. She’d send them off with a piece of one of her fabulous pies and some homemade fudge. I asked her where they came from and she said they were hoboes who rode the rails. There were always trains running between the mines and the steel mills in Pittsburgh. But in the winter she got almost no one. She said they built camps in the woods and hunted. They were stationary because it was too cold on the trains.

    Spotlight On Skippy Molesta!

John “Skippy” Podesta — who is at the center of Pizzagate — is back in the news for handling $375 billion slush fund giving billions to charity in an obvious money laundering scam that’s most likely linked to child sex trafficking.

In one instance, a check for nearly $7 billion to Bethesda, Maryland based group Climate United Fund, which does not appear in the IRS’s charities database, and has no federal filings, according to the New York Post.

The term Pizzagate stems from the release of thousands of John Podesta’s e-mails via Wikileaks in October of 2016. John was the then campaign chairman for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, and several e-mails between him and his associates contained the use of the word pizza, a known pedophile code word, in a context that does not make sense for them to be referring to the Italian dish. There were also other words, suspected to be pedophile code words, and questionable content littered in those e-mails that raised eyebrows for anyone who took the time to read them. Pizzagate was never just about one DC pizza joint and a basement – that was the mainstream media’s spin on it to distract you from the truth.

They took one look at this nightmare, Hubby grabbed his check back on their way out and they fled.

House Censures Rep. Al Green for Interrupting Trump’s Address to Congress

The House censured Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) on Thursday for interrupting President Donald Trump’s March 4 address before a joint session of Congress.

The resolution, introduced by Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-Wash.), passed 224–198 with two voting “present.” 10 Democrats voted for the censure.

Green, who stood up, raised his cane, and repeatedly heckled Trump, was ejected from the House chamber at the direction of House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.).

Following passage of the resolution, Green presented himself in the well of the House chamber to hear Johnson read the censure. He and other Democrats sang “We Shall Overcome.”

Green, who has represented Texas’ 9th Congressional District since 2005, is the 29th member of Congress to be censured.
The congressman’s behavior, stated the two-page resolution, “disrupted the proceedings of the joint address and was a breach of proper conduct.”

New Zealand’s Most Senior Diplomat in the UK Ousted After Mocking President Trump

Phil Goff, New Zealand’s high commissioner to the U.K. and his country’s most senior diplomat in London, was fired for comments mocking President Donald Trump at a London think tank event at Chatham House.

During remarks, he shared Winston Churchill’s speech from 1938 in which the British powerhouse blasted then-Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain and his decision to sign the Munich Agreement with Adolf Hitler.

Goff smugly said to Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, “President Trump has restored the bust of Churchill to the Oval Office.”

Goff then condescendingly asked, “But do you think he really understands history?,”
    .
    .
New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters fired Goff and, in remarks to the press, called the diplomat’s question “deeply disappointing.”

He added that it made Goff’s position as high commissioner to London ‘untenable.”

Per The Guardian Peters continued, “When you’re in that position, you represent the views of the government and the policies of the day – you’re not able to free-think, you are the face of New Zealand,” Peters told the press on Thursday.

I wish one day someone would post one of these stupid things then quietly and slowly explain how a math thing like that relates to the real world.

The order of operations is some made up shit that is not needed if you use brackets, and lots of brackets, and more brackets and you reduce what is in the inner brackets first then work your way outwards.

A bit like using the correct utensils when eating a proper 5 course English meal.

You start with the knife or fork or spoon closest to the plate then work your way outwards during the meal. Can’t get it wrong and look stupid.

Every launch they get more and more telemetry data.

They lost two engines on the boost back burn but by running the remaining engines slightly longer the booster got to where the booster should be because it knew where it was, and was not, and where it had been and where it had not been.

That is called an error. And because the booster knew of the error it could correct where it was, and needed to be.

The impressive thing was the catch.

On re-entry one engine failed to start, and so even crippled it compensated for having one engine out and still corrected itself to getting where it should be.

Starship itself is now probably putting on a really cool fireworks show over the Bahamas!

Now, as everyone was concentrating on the ground breaking progress of SpaceX and the journey to Mars, and beyond.

I am conducting my own experiments here in Houston. But no rockets. ( NASA sucks )

A delivery ago I got a 2lbs lump of chuck roast. And a Pillsbury roll of pastry with the intent to make dwarf sized beef wellington. But looking through tender beef thing came across the Chinese beef recipes which involved coating strips of beef in baking soda, letting them do their thing for about 40 minutes then rinsing them.

It has a name! Velveting Beef. Now because I had no baking soda in stock I had to put in a Walmart delivery. 16oz baking soda is $0.92 and minimum order is $35 so a box of wine was added, and some beer, and eggs.

I may have accidentally drank more wine than intended, so supper is probably chicken noodle soup. But looking forward to whatever velvet beef is tomorrow.

They were amateur archeologists who worked on digs in South America/Mexico during summer breaks. She taught me how to lay out a dig. And I learned geometry by accident. Totally loved it. Aced all of it. Years later when I felt stupid because I sucked at algebra, I grabbed my high school textbook, went to the toy store and bought a box of pick up sticks. I went thru that book with those colored sticks and taught myself. Took 3 mos. Then I signed up for a night course at Penn State where I was living. And got kicked out because I already knew it all. LOL, I am awake again after my nap and that beef I cooked was the tenderist and succulentist and flavourful meat I ever tasted!

    I eated half a pound.

Now, I am awake and the rest of the chuck roast is in the freezer, but not for long.

Frozen beef is easier to slice thinly.

Going to eat the rest of the 2lbs chunk. Same as the test attempt.

Thin sliced, coated in baking powder, left to do its thing for 40 minutes. Then washed. Quit laughing, you have to wash the baking soda off.

Beef is dried with paper towels, it takes a lot, then into a bowl and mixed with soy sauce for a few hours.

Taken out of the bowl and again dried with paper towels and thrown into a hot skillet containing coconut oil. However I am out of coconut oil now so do not worry. I has lard!

That trick with baking soda is the best cooking tip I ever learned, and that was just yesterday.

Now, where is my GoPro camera and head mount thing. I could make a video.

Baking soda, it is a new addition to my inventory of things. It was added yesterday. But where does it live?

Chunk of meat was frozen slightly and a pound of it was sliced ready to be coated in baking soda.

Eventually found baking soda, it was in the place it should be, in a cupboard containing flour and chicken noodle soup.

Now I know where it will be next time I use it.

12 billion dollars was allocated to the Navy for submarines and not one submarine was built.

42.5 billion dollars was allocated to hook people up to high-speed Internet, and not one single person was hooked up to high-speed Internet.

7.5 billion dollars was allocated to build EV charging stations. Only 37 stations were built. Thats 200 million per charging station.

PoliticsNEW: Ukraine Is On The Verge Of A Colossal Military Disaster After Latest Russian Advance

In 2024, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a surprise attack on Russian territory in the Kursk Oblast. In order to do so, the Ukrainian Armed Forces diverted limited resources from the nation’s east in order to launch an operation that, according to Russian and Eurasian affairs expert Glenn Diesen, was designed as publicity move for western audiences.

Despite minimal gains and heavy casualties, Ukrainian leaders seemingly believed that an advance on Russia proper would give the appearance of success to western partners and entice them to provide more aid.

Now — much like the ill-fated counteroffensive in 2023 — large pockets of Ukrainian troops are at risk of encirclement as the Kursk offensive stalls out. “

Cat toy arrived, I love Android shit. Took me about half an our to set it up and now it is indistinguishable from my phone except for two things.

It is four times the size and it does not make phone calls.

Got a cool cat game installed, I played it for half an hour. You bop flies and roaches and lizards!

You can even set it up so every time you kill something it takes a picture using the front facing camera!

Cats are currently outside getting a sun tan, can’t wait for them to come home. It will be like Christmas morning and unwrapping presents, or probably not, cats are cats.

Anyway for $50 I get to watch movies in bed without wearing reading glasses. So a win for me.

Update on Pilsbury crescent roll pastry.

Got one and opened it a couple of days ago. Them fuckers go off with a bang!

Anyway dough was covered in fungally looking spots and when I examined the remnants of the container it was damaged at one end.

Fortunately I had Pepperidge Farms frozen puff pastry sheets in stock so sausage rolls were made.

So was thinly sliced velveted beef fake mini beef wellington.

Calorie count this week has been astronomical, but now I am one year closer to death so it is OK to indulge and treat myself.

Put tablet on top of the blankies in bed and set the game to display roaches.

She looked it for less than 30 seconds, yawned then went to eat.

In South Texas roaches on the bed are so common cats ignore them. Oh well.

It has settings for flies ( also common here ) and lizards ( them things like to sneak into bed too ).

Going to try the butterfly setting! Not seen one in over ten years. Once she has had her afternoon nap of course.

Beef has been coated in baking powder now for 40 mins or so, after I post this it will be washed.

( I got CW blocked in here so he cannot see what I am doing to beef! )

After the washing it will be placed in a zip lock with soy sauce and… Well, I have some teriyaki marinade but I am feeling fruity today. I have some zero sugar raspberry vinaigrette that works awesome with pork.

Raspberry steak? Not risking it today, maybe another time.

So lunch is probably going to be ready about 9pm ( 21:00 ) Pan seared marinated velvet beef served with cauliflower cheese and a smile.

Also, as a side note, sick of the government messing with the time on my phones, my computer and Natasha’s new toy.

Britain urged to form breakaway ‘Four Eyes’ alliance without the US after Trump’s ‘unprecedented’ decision to block intelligence sharing with Ukraine

Britain must develop a ‘Four Eyes’ intelligence sharing alliance in response to Donald Trump’s actions over Ukraine, defence sources have said.

The US President’s ‘unprecedented’ decision to block allies, including the UK, from giving Ukraine US-generated classified material that could benefit the eastern European country has sparked calls for a breakaway group.

Mr Trump used his powers as part of the ‘Five Eyes’ alliance of the US, Britain, Australia, Canada and New Zealand to suspend intelligence to Kyiv.

Some in the defence establishment are now suggesting forming a sub-group to allow intelligence sharing without a US veto.

‘It isn’t about pulling out of Five Eyes, it is about creating a new ‘Four Eyes’ within it – without America,’ a source said.

The US’s decision would ‘damage Ukraine’s ability to defend itself against ongoing Russian attacks’, the Institute for the Study of War said last week.

Former British ambassador to Washington Sir David Manning said the question of intelligence sharing was going to be ‘more difficult to approach’.

MSNBC Guest: Ukrainians Are ‘More American Than We Are’

Independent Veterans of America CEO Paul Rieckhoff claimed Friday on MSNBC’s “The 11th Hour” that Ukrainians are “more American” than the American people.

Rieckhoff said, “Donald Trump has completely betrayed Ukraine. He has stabbed them in the back and every week he needs to twist it and drive it deeper with a new move that cuts more of their legs out from under them.”

Host Stephanie Ruhle asked, “What do you say to the person who says, I don’t care about Ukraine, I want Donald Trump to stand up for Russia?”

Rieckhoff said, “Where did you grow up? Did you grow up in a place where you thought the Russians were the good guys? What part of America did you grow up in where they taught you the Russians were the good guys, and our allies were the bad guys? That’s the flip here that we need to continue to remind people. The Russians are the bad guys. They’re raping women. They’re killing children. They’re bombing cities.”

He added, “The Ukrainians are the noble good guys. In some ways, they’re more American than we are. Over the last couple of years, and we must stand with them in the same way we stood with the Allies in World War II. And since this country was founded. This is not just about Ukraine. This is about the core and the integrity of American values.”

    @ right_wing2:
Typical re-writing of history if that is actually true.

Enola Gay was the pilots mother’s name. Nothing to do with 2025 homosexuality.

The mascot of 617 squadron ( dam busters ) was a black Labrador that was named what is now regarded as a racial slur and has been erased from history.

In 1943 it was not a racial slur.

Nigger was a male black labrador retriever belonging to Wing Commander Guy Gibson of the Royal Air Force, and the mascot of No. 617 Squadron. Gibson owned the dog when he was previously a member of 106 Squadron. Nigger often accompanied Gibson on training flights[1] and was a great favourite of the members of both 106 and 617 Squadrons. He was noted for his liking of beer, which he drank from his own bowl in the Officers’ Mess.[2]

Nigger died on 16 May 1943, the day of the famous “Dambusters” raid, when he was hit by a motorist. He was buried at midnight as Gibson was leading the raid. “Nigger” (Morse code: -. .. –. –. . .-. ) was the codeword Gibson used to confirm the breach of the Möhne Dam. Nigger’s grave is at Royal Air Force station Scampton, Lincolnshire.[1] In July 2020 the headstone was replaced, with his name removed. The RAF said it “did not want to give prominence to an offensive term that went against its ethos”.[3]

In 2023, the RAF’s request for listed building consent to move the dog’s grave to another airbase was refused.[4]

It’s true that DOD is removing DEI-related content from websites, but I suspect that a lot of the controversy relates to them using keyword searches to categorize the images. A human is still going to look at what’s on the list. I can’t imagine that they’re seriously going to delete content related to the first plane to drop an atomic bomb, particularly given that the plane itself is sitting in the middle of the Smithsonian’s Air and Space Museum.

    heh

the Trump administration may have outfoxed the judge in this case. According to reports, Khalil was moved to an ICE detention center in Louisiana. Why is that important? Because while Furman issued his order based on Khalil’s New York petition for habeas corpus (i.e., that he be released pending further litigation), the law requires that the petition be filed in the federal court district the subject is being held in. If Khalil isn’t in New York anymore, and it seems fairly certain he isn’t, then Furman has no jurisdiction over the case.

RAF facing pilot shortage after diversity scheme backfires

The RAF is facing a pilot shortage after a diversity hiring scheme backfired.

An official document has revealed the Royal Air Force’s need for “a higher number of pilots in training”.

The Air Force is so short-staffed that candidates who were previously rejected are being urged to reapply, as well as older applicants who have experience in “flying-related roles”.

The pleas come as Sir Keir Starmer reiterated the UK’s willingness to put “boots on the ground and planes in the air” to help Ukraine secure a peace deal.

The Prime Minister has already announced a boost in defence spending, which will increase to 2.5 per cent of GDP by 2027.

The RAF now needs a “higher number of pilots in training”, according to a document seen by the Daily Mail.

Air chiefs want the gaps filled by those who may have previously been rejected.

Under Air Chief Marshal Sir Mike Wigston’s stewardship, the air force committed to having 40 per cent women and 20 per cent of personnel from ethnic minorities by 2030.

During the drive, leaked emails showed air chiefs were told to stop choosing “useless white male pilots” in an attempt to improve diversity.

In 2023, Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton apologised following an inquiry into the bias.

    Speaking of South Africa:

Afrikaners Face Treason Probe After Washington Visit

South Africa’s top police investigative unit is investigating complaints of high treason against Afrikaner organizations that recently met with officials from President Donald Trump’s administration in Washington.

The White House visit included high-level talks, according to three groups lobbying for the rights of Afrikaners, who are mainly white descendants of Dutch, French, and German settlers who came to South Africa in the 1600s.

The Solidarity Movement is the largest Afrikaner movement in South Africa, with some 600,000 members. Among its many initiatives are the Solidarity trade union and the civil rights group AfriForum.
Representatives of the three groups “met with senior representatives of the Trump administration,” on Feb. 25, according to a post on social media platform X by AfriForum CEO Kallie Kriel. The delegation presented a memorandum detailing alleged persecution by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa’s administration.

The groups allege that Pretoria is ignoring the murders of white farmers, that the state is preparing to confiscate white-owned property and shut schools and colleges where Afrikaans is the primary language, and that the South African government is denying white residents the right to employment by implementing a slew of affirmative action policies.

In the memo, the groups also called on the United States to specifically direct pressure on African National Congress (ANC) leaders “who are responsible for these policies” rather than on “individual farmers, manufacturers and ordinary citizens.”

They called on Trump to use targeted sanctions to punish “corrupt and vindictive” politicians from the ANC, the majority party in South Africa’s coalition government.

The police investigative unit Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, also known as The Hawks, confirmed that four high treason dockets have been opened in response to allegations of misinformation, according to South Africa’s Independent Online news site.

Hawks head Lt. Gen. Godfrey Lebeya told the government-owned South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) that the dockets “concern individuals that may have crossed the border to go and communicate some of the things that are perceived to be in the direction of high treason.”

“The priority crimes unit will not hesitate to arrest anyone should the prosecutorial authority find High Treason was committed,” SABC reported on March 3.

In a speech given while Afrikaner leaders were in Washington, Ramaphosa said the activists had “spawned divisions” in South Africa, and that they should solve their problems at home rather than “running around the world” looking for solutions.

Members of several leftist political parties took things further and filed legal complaints of high treason against the Afrikaner groups, alleging they were “guilty of spreading disinformation and misinformation with the aim of collapsing the government.”

AfriForum, Solidarity, and the Solidarity Movement have shrugged the complaints off as baseless.

    Boring food post.

Yesterday I cooked and ate the rest of the chuck roast. Sliced into 1/4 inch chunks, Sodium Bicarbonated them for 40 minutes then rinsed thoroughly ( Or so I thought ) then the slices placed in my tiny slow cooker with a can of Campbells French onion soup, undiluted.

Plan was to thicken the soup when the beef was cooked to make an awesome onion gravy and serve the beef and gravy with mash.

Alas. On tasting the juice after several hours cooking there was an aftertaste of baking powder. It may have been masked when doing the velvet steak trick and stir frying with a sauce. Anyway beef which was now falling apart and the most succulent beef I ever had was removed from the onion soup, rinsed and lightly coated in BBQ sauce. A win, but unfortunately the onion soup/gravy fed the growly thing in the sink.

Today due to a discussion on X my Walmart grocery order contained yet another 2.45 pound chunk of chuck roast. Again 1 pound of it was cut into 1/4 inch slices, baking powdered for 30 minutes then rinsed off well.

Then I had a thought. Acid and baking powder produces CO2 and something else, so onto the beef went some vinegar. The thing frothed like a very frothy thing!

Watched in amazement as it frothed, obviously rinsing the baking powder off did not remove it from inside the slices.

Rinsed steak again, and the resultant slices had the spongey texture of Sponge Bob Square Pants.

Into slow cooker the beef went, layered with sliced onions and on the top a 16oz can of diced tomatoes with garlic, oregano and basil.

Rule number one of slow cooking, well the only rule, do not touch it! Do not stir it and do not remove the lid.

LOL, supper is going to be a while….

STATE DEPARTMENT OFFICIAL ARRESTED FOR LEAKING SECRETS—PAID IN CHINESE MONEY

Michael Schena, a U.S. State Department official, has been charged with transmitting classified information—paid thousands in Chinese yuan.

FBI agents say he photographed secret documents and sent them to a contact identified as “Jason,” using a covert iPhone.

Surveillance caught Schena accessing classified U.S. diplomatic files before snapping photos of them at his workstation.

The scheme allegedly ran from 2022 to 2023. With links to China dating back to his LSU days, Schena was ordered held in jail until trial.

China has long used LinkedIn and social media for spy recruitment.

This case exposes how Beijing exploits weak links inside the U.S. government.

Remember when I told you Ukraine was trafficking children for predators and their organs on the European dark web with Poland being their swap spot ….do believe me now?

“Polish border guards have detained a member of a criminal group involved in human organ trafficking. A 35-year-old Ukrainian woman, who was put on the international wanted list by Interpol, was detained while crossing the border between Poland and Ukraine. The prosecutor’s office in Przemysl, Poland, made an official statement about this.

56 human kidneys sold on the “black market”

According to information, this person was sentenced to 12 years in prison by the Kazakh government and has been on the international wanted list since 2020. According to the indictment, he organized the trade in human organs in 2017-2019. Through a criminal scheme, 56 human kidneys were illegally sold on the “black market”.

Citizens of Uzbekistan and other countries became victims

According to the special services of Kazakhstan, the victims include citizens of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Thailand. The woman illegally lured citizens of these countries into her trap and sold their internal organs for commercial purposes.

Arrest and extradition proceedings in Poland

A member of the criminal group was detained on March 6 at the railway crossing between Poland and Ukraine. He is currently being questioned by the Polish prosecutor’s office, and a request for his arrest with a view to his extradition to Kazakhstan has been filed with the district court. According to the court decision, he will be held in custody for 7 days.

Human organ trafficking is a serious problem worldwide, and international law enforcement agencies continue to vigorously combat such crimes.”

Well, this is what the House and the Senate should be thinking too.

If two people/parties disagree on one subject it should not mean they have to be opposites on every other issue.

Sick and tired of our government representatives voting along party lines.

Recent example 100% democrats voted against banning men from women’s sports just because republicans backed the bill.

That ain’t right. Things are not just one side or the other over everything.

Notice I stopped commenting on conflicting issues here? Basically what I think does not matter. And to be perfectly honest those issues do not actually concern, or affect me personally.

So, I am all for discourse on a very wide range of subjects but I will not always vote ” the party line “

    Grocery orders.

    I always forget something!

This morning I craved playing with chuck roast again so had one delivered but to make up the $35 minimum added a box of wine, some beer and two cans of mushroom soup.

Then noticed nearly out of dish soap, no soy sauce in stock and a post on X got me craving fish and chips.

So two types of frozen fries added, I has mushy peas, and a box of frozen battered fish added to the order. Plus a loaf of sliced Italian bread. Fish, chips, mushy peas, nice bread with real butter is the best English meal!

Fish and chips due to arrive at 19:00 to 21:00 however, that is 3-5 hours away and unfortunately the box of Cabernet is taking its toll.

    As to throwing food away.

Take a chicken breast, about 1lbs of one. Slice it into chunks then put in a tiny slow cooker with a can of Campbells condensed chicken soup undiluted.

Slow cook it all for 5-6 hours. Then scoop out the chicken chunks and flash fry them in hot oil to brown, turn down the heat and add cooked noodles or a can of bean sprouts and a squirt of Teriyaki sauce and serve when it bubbles.

The chicken soup juice is thrown away. It was sacrificed in order to cook the chicken chunks.

I hate throwing food away but sometimes its sacrifice is for the greater good.

If I could go back in time to 1912 I would have advised the builders of the Titanic to smear baking soda all over it, let it sit for 40 minutes then spray it with vinegar.

    > Trump Adm informed Citibank that the “Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund” program was the subject of an ongoing criminal investigation.

    > The FBI recommended placing a 30-day administrative freeze on eight slush fund recipients in light of “credible information” of possible criminal violations.

    > EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin called for the financial agreement with Citibank be terminated and the grant funds immediately returned.

I have no idea what’s going on here

    Dear President Trump,

You should be aware that, at this very moment, Israel is experiencing an attempted coup by elements of the deep state against the democratically elected government of the Israeli people. About an hour ago, the former head of the Shin Bet (Israel’s equivalent of the FBI) publicly threatened to expose private information about Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if the Prime Minister takes actions that he deems illegal—in other words, if he dismisses the current head of the Shin Bet, Ronen Bar, who failed disastrously on October 7. This blatant act of extortion was broadcast on Channel 12, Israel’s equivalent of NBC, which is similarly dominated by woke ideology.

I urge you to express solidarity with the people of Israel and with Prime Minister Netanyahu, and to make it clear that, from the perspective of the United States, the democratically elected Prime Minister is your legitimate partner and ally. Israel has never before witnessed such a severe and public act of blackmail by deep state operatives, who are working in coordination with left-wing media to preserve their old hegemony over the country.

I am a scholar of comparative constitutional law, researching deep state practices worldwide. Israel represents the most extreme case of deep state and elite rule in the world, where the judicial system is used as a tool to persecute political figures who challenge its dominance—most notably, Prime Minister Netanyahu.

I’m finding it hard to accept an immigrant here with special privileges to further his education whose mother used her family connections to move him here to keep him from serving in the military in South Africa! Now the two of them are imposing rules for the rest of us to live by! Does anyone else find this the epitome of arrogance and self serving? How would they like it? Wonder if Canada will take them or better yet, South Africa!

Wonder if he can get billions of dollars or pounds in government loans from them to finance his empire of blowing up rockets and building vehicles? Then buying a platform and turning it into a shit house for Aholes to insult those of us who have been here since 2009.

The hypocrisy is maddening to see other immigrants rounded up like criminals when many of them have worked and contributed to our economy for decades. Excuse me, and you feel justified in picking and choosing who goes and who stays in America!

The current administration is so callous and greedy he’s even offering citizenship to those with money. It makes me wanna throw up at the mention of his name.

MASTERCLASS: VP JD Vance just gave a FLAWLESS explanation for why Trump’s tariffs will ultimately be successful.

He says it’s time to hire and pay AMERICAN workers.

“We also have to force businesses to invest more, not overseas, not in Chinese workers, but in American workers.”

“The president’s been very clear. He wants to impose tariffs on foreign importers because he wants to bring investment and jobs back to the United States Of America.”

“Build more in The United States Of America, invest more in the United States Of America, raise wages for workers in the United States Of America, and you don’t have to pay these tariffs at all.”

“There is, as the president has said, a recognition that we have to accept, which is that, look, Joe Biden left this economy in a disaster. He ran into the highest peacetime deficits we’ve ever had in this country.”

“He left us with a significant debt crisis, and the president has come in and said, look, we have to accomplish a lot of things simultaneously.”

“We have to bring down inflation, which I think we’re making some good progress on. We have to actually ensure critical government services like Social Security and the military function for the American people.”

Kash Patel CONFIRMS Judge Juan Merchan should have never been assigned to Donald Trump’s case

Kash Patel “I’m calling for the subpoenas to be issued to Judge Merchant’s Daughter’s company who made $15+ million dollars from the illicit information pouring out of her father’s courtroom

    – I wanna know the bank records because money doesn’t lie
    – I wanna know how deep it is and how much of it went to the family and how much of it is going to the family after this false conviction
    – Then we need to investigate the FEC actual violations that this judge and his family conducted

Judge Juan Merchan should never have been overseeing this trial to begin with because of the illicit campaign money that was flowing through there and the unconstitutional due process violations are only the beginning.“

That’s not all, here’s more reasons why he should have NEVER been assigned Donald Trump’s case from The Older Millennial:

‘For these type of cases, the way it’s supposed to work is that there is a panel of 24 judges, and they are all put in rotation and randomly assigned these types of cases. Judge Merchan is not on that panel. That’s because he’s not a judge. He’s an acting judge.

The only way he could have caught this case was to be specifically assigned to it. There was no chance of him being randomly selected.

The wild thing is that according to the left and the department of justice, judge Merchan was not only randomly selected to be the judge in this trial, but he was also randomly selected to be the judge in the Trump Organization case, and he was randomly selected to be the judge in the Steve Bannon case.

So judge Merchan, a judge that is not in the pool of 24 judges that is supposed to catch these cases, a judge that is not an actual judge, but an acting judge caught all 3 Trump related cases randomly. This is a judge who gives heavily to an organization very plainly named Stop Trump, and a judge whose daughter makes tens of millions of dollars every year promoting Democrats.’

    Insane corruption.

A food post intermingled with world politics and cultural differences.

In the good old days 30+ years ago there were many foreign looking people in Britain. They kept to themselves.

There was probably some racial bias, but not as it is now.

I fondly remember that in the last two years of high school two girls of Asian descent joined the school. They kept themselves to themselves but they were really pretty!

Anyway, back a long time ago the best restaurants to go eat at after a long night of warm beer were a Chinese Chippy take away ( best thing on menu was chicken and pineapple curry on fries )

Another choice was ” Indian ” and I put that in quotes. Us Yorkshire heathens regarded anything from that continent as ” Indian ”

Truth is, those ” Indian ” places even though they served the same type of food were a mix of Pakistani ( Muslim ) and Indian ( Hindu ) establishments.

So, as a visitor to Britain how can you tell if you are in a Pakistani or Indian ” Indian ” restaurant?

If on the menu is Beef Curry you are in a Pakistani one. If on the menu is Meat Curry it is Indian.

( Hindus ain’t supposed to eat cows or serve cow parts, but the ” meat ” is cow )

I don’t like to post things here without proof, so I looked at the menu of my local go to ” Indian ” and it was chicken, fish, shrimp, goat and beef.

Took a look at some ” Indian” ones nearby and same minus the beef.

To be honest I quit trying to find one that had ” meat ” on the menu as looking at all that food was driving me nuts and I am drooling on the keyboard.

If pushed I will locate an Hindu Indian which serves meat not beef.
