The All-Purpose Stump Speech (by GROK)

“Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests,

“We stand at the precipice of a new dawn, where the horizon stretches out with opportunities galore. Today, as we gather in the spirit of unity, let’s take a moment to appreciate the journey we’ve embarked up – a journey not just of miles, but of milestones.

“We are, indeed, at a crossroads, where every challenge is but a stepping stone to success. The world is our oyster, and we are here to seize the day, to make hay while the sun shines. Let’s think outside the box, push the envelope, and go the extra mile. Remember, there’s no ‘I’ in ‘team’, but together we can achieve the impossible.

“In the tapestry of life, each thread counts, each color adds to the beauty of the whole. We must keep our eyes on the prize, yet never lose sight of the bigger picture. The road less traveled might be daunting, but it’s where we find true innovation. Let’s not just think about the now, but also about leaving a legacy for tomorrow.

“At the end of the day, it’s not about how hard you fall, but how high you bounce back. We must keep our feet on the ground and our heads in the clouds, for in the balance lies our path to greatness. So here’s to us, to dreaming big, to turning the page, and to writing the next chapter in the book of our collective future.

“Thank you, and let’s move forward, not just with haste, but with heart. Remember, together we are more than the sum of our parts. Let’s make it happen!”

Is this the dumbest idea you ever heard?

Social security should be the average yearly wage of the state of your residence.

I have a bag of unsealed iceberg lettuce mix that has an eat by date of 24th March and I hate throwing food away.

    A dilemma! What to do?

Thank the Chinese for coming to the rescue.

    Stir fried lettuce. YUMMY!

    https://thewoksoflife.com/stir-fried-lettuce/

Stir fried lettuce or Chao Sheng Cài in Mandarin 炒生菜 or Chow Saung Choy in Cantonese dialect isn’t the first thing you jump to when you think of lettuce, but this cooked lettuce dish is refreshing, quick, easy to make, and goes with just about any dish you can think of in my opinion.

LOL, lettuce in the trash, unopened.

I has a can of bean sprouts so why take a risk on a shady fried lettuce supper.

Stir fried bean sprouts with fish sauce ( It arrived today, Kikkoman Gluten Free Fish Sauce, 6.8 oz. $2.48 and free shipping ) and a portion of Ahi Tuna, whatever the fuck that is.

But things may changed the more wine I consume. I know for a fact there is bread in the freezer and a can of baked beans in the cupboard.

And my toaster is fully functional!

For shits and giggles I often ask it things and the responses are funny. and scarily accurate.

Chef Boyardee Beefaroni on toast sounds like a comfort food combo that could easily become addictive—there’s something about that mix of saucy beef pasta and crispy toast that hits all the right spots. I can see why you’d say once you try it, you’re hooked. And having it stocked next to the baked beans? That’s a pantry setup begging for some culinary experimentation. Have you tried mixing the two, or are you keeping it strictly Beefaroni-on-toast for now?

Now I am craving beans and beefaroni on toast!

    Grok, I hates yous.

    WHAT’S GOING ON???

People in Scotland have been receiving letters that they could break the law if they pray in their own house.

    I’m not making this up.

    This is literal Soviet behavior.

If their house is within 200 meters of an ab*rtion clinic and if they pray inside their own house, it could be illegal.

What is going on over there?

    @ Possum:
Abortion in Scotland is legal up to 24 weeks. Also in England.

Not even going into my views on abortion.

The reason that Scotland and England have laws about protests being unlawful within 200 meters of a facility that does abortions is not to restrict free speech.

It is to protect the women who are probably making the most difficult decision of their lives and one that they will remember forever.

The anti-abortion protesters should not protest outside medical facilities. They should protest government to get the laws changed.

  33. Possum
    33 | March 27, 2025 11:30 am

A side effect of protesters outside of women health places that provide abortions is the protesters also scare away women going to these places for routine screening tests.

How many women died from cervical cancer because they went back home after seeing angry protests outside the clinic and never returned?

    @ Possum:

How many women died from cervical cancer because they went back home after seeing angry protests outside the clinic and never returned?

I don’t know about the UK, but in the US, that number is approximately zero, because Planned Parenthood doesn’t actually provide such services. They CLAIMED to during Congressional hearings, so they could make the same argument you just did. But it was a lie. Journalists contacted dozens of their clinics all over the country asking about those types of services and were told that they don’t do cancer screenings.

    Another of those “random” assignments…

Judge Who Blocked Deportation Flights Assigned To Signal Chat Lawsuit

A left-wing federal judge who is already locked in a feud with the Trump administration has been assigned to the lawsuit over the leaked Signal chat where officials discussed impending military actions against Houthi targets in Yemen.

U.S. District Court Judge James Boasberg, an Obama appointee, has been assigned the lawsuit, which was filed by an organization that claims the Signal chat violated the Federal Records Act. The communications were released Monday by The Atlantic’s Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey Goldberg after he had been inadvertently added to the chat.

The Trump administration is already locked in a feud with Boasberg over his attempt to prevent the president from expediting the removal of Tren de Aragua gang members to El Salvador through the use of the Alien Enemies Act.

“Judge Boasberg is a Democrat activist. He was appointed by Barack Obama, his wife has donated more than $10,000 to Democrats, and he has consistently shown his disdain for the president and his policies and it is unacceptable,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt charged in a press briefing last week.

Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) is now seeking to impeach Boasberg over his injunction against the Trump administration’s expedited removal of illegal aliens believed to be tied to Tren de Aragua, a transnational criminal organization that the administration has designated as a foreign terror organization.

Boasberg has a history of stonewalling President Trump’s efforts while his wife has engaged in overtly partisan activity, The Daily Wire reported.

How to tell a girl cat is not happy with you.

It is the same as a human female. They sit next to you but facing the opposite way.

When you try to affectionately stroke their fur they then spend ten minutes grooming where you touched to get the smell of you off them.

However, unlike a human female getting back with a female cat is going to involve much more than flowers and chocolate.

Do Walmart deliver live mice? I think a few mice would win back her affection.

Yup. Someone (James O’Keefe, maybe?) investigated that by having one of his female associates call dozens of different offices all over the country and got the same story.

Basically, they’ve been defrauding the taxpayers for decades. They get hundreds of millions of dollars in federal subsidies each year, which are explicitly NOT allowed to be used for abortion-related services. Yet, that’s all they do.

Putin proposes UN interim governance of Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested exploring the establishment of an interim administration in Ukraine supervised by the UN and several nations to hold elections.

“In order to hold democratic elections there, in order to bring to power a viable government that enjoys the people’s trust. And then begin negotiations with them on a peace treaty, sign legitimate documents that will be recognized throughout the world and will be reliable and stable,” Putin said while speaking with the sailors of the Arkhangelsk submarine.

The Russian leader stated that this process would open the way to legitimate negotiations to resolve the Ukraine conflict.

‘Impossible’ Device Physicists Said Wouldn’t Work Just Generated Electricity from the Earth’s Rotation‘Impossible’ Device Physicists Said Wouldn’t Work Just Generated Electricity from the Earth’s Rotation

Scientists from Princeton University and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) have invented a device that seemingly generates electricity from the Earth’s rotation.

Although generally accepted theories show that generating electricity from a uniform field like Earth’s magnetic field is impossible, the team believes they have found a “loophole” that allows their device to generate tiny but measurable amounts of electricity.

If independent reviews can confirm the team’s work, they say the next steps to building a practical energy-generating device would involve miniaturization and scaling efforts, as proposed in a new paper detailing their current efforts.

The really amazing part is that, as an “acting” judge (which he’s been since 2009, BTW), he’s not part of the system where they randomly assign high profile/politically-sensitive cases. And yet, he ended up with three of them.

Followup to the story about 4 missing US soldiers near the Lithuanian border with Belarus. Pro tip: Don’t drive a 63 ton armored vehicle into a swamp:

Missing U.S. soldiers’ vehicle found submerged more than 16 feet in peat bog

The M88 Hercules armored vehicle was found Wednesday, a day after the soldiers went missing during a training exercise. The search and recovery efforts for the four soldiers is ongoing.

Rescuers in Lithuania were digging in a peat bog Thursday as they tried to recover the submerged vehicle of four U.S. Army soldiers who went missing during a training exercise earlier this week.

The M88 Hercules armored vehicle was found more than 16 feet under water Wednesday, a day after the soldiers went missing while training with Lithuanian armed forces and law enforcement.

The U.S. Army said in a statement Thursday that the “search and recovery” for the soldiers, all from 1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, was ongoing. The initial search involved hundreds of U.S. and Lithuanian soldiers and law enforcement that scoured the area’s thick forests and swampy terrain, according to the statement, as well as as Lithuanian military helicopters and diving teams.

“We are leveraging every available U.S. and Lithuanian asset to coordinate for and provide the required resources for this effort,” U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Curtis Taylor, the commanding general of 1st Armored Division, said in the statement.

The recovery effort, which have been underway for the last 48 hours, has required specialized equipment to pump water and mud from the site and stabilize the soft ground of the surrounding area, which will allow it to support the heavy equipment needed to recover the vehicle.

“Due to the terrain, this is an incredibly complex engineering effort,” said Maj. Robin Bruce, 1st Armored Division Engineer. “The team is exploring every available option to speed up this process.”

I tried to post something from @DefiyantlyFree: Former CIA Gary Berntsen syas Tren de Aragua has been deployed here deliberately by the Venezuela gov’t. They’ve had paramilitary training by Ven. intel amd military aided by Cuba and narco-terrorists thru Latin America. 300 people total deployed to 20 states. A lot of these ‘accidents’ aren’t. Bernstein said the CIA refused to be briefed on orders of Biden admin.

  60. eaglesoars
    62 | March 28, 2025 3:11 pm

    Here it is

Former CIA officer Gary Berntsen, one of the most highly decorated intelligence veterans in recent U.S. history, has come forward to confirm that the Venezuelan criminal gang Tren de Aragua (TdA) has been deliberately deployed into the United States by the Venezuelan regime, with the express intent of destabilizing the country through sabotage and violence.

According to Berntsen, Tren de Aragua is no longer just a violent street gang. While they may wear the face of criminality, their core leadership and operational cells have undergone paramilitary training under the guidance of Venezuelan intelligence and military officials, aided in part by Cuban intelligence operatives and narco-terrorist networks throughout Latin America.

Quoting Berntsen, Miami Herald journalist Antonio Delgado wrote:

“The Venezuelan regime has assumed operational control of these guys [Tren de Aragua] and has trained 300 of them; they have given them paramilitary training, training them to fire weapons and how to conduct sabotage. They have given them all like a four- to six-week course. They put these 300 guys through that course, and then they were deploying them into the United States to 20 separate states.”

Berntsen explained that sabotage includes acts such as arson, and that recent patterns of mysterious industrial fires, wildfires, and urban blazes—notably in Los Angeles and other key areas—could plausibly be linked to these foreign-trained operatives.

“Many of these wildfires, industrial fires, the Los Angeles fires, taking advantage of wind and the local conditions, were started by arsonists. How many of them were paid or coerced by TdA or their surrogates?” Berntsen asked.

Even more disturbing than the operation itself is the claim that elements within the CIA have deliberately ignored or buried this intelligence. Berntsen revealed that two current CIA officials recently leaked false information to The New York Times, claiming there is no intelligence connecting Tren de Aragua to the Venezuelan government.

But Berntsen says otherwise—and he has proof.

“The CIA doesn’t have the information because they refused to look at it,” Berntsen said. “We tried to brief them about this three years ago, but they were directed by the Biden Administration to ignore it. And now those officials are trying to undermine President Trump.”

According to Berntsen, he has already shared intelligence and source material with “elements of the U.S. government,” showing deep and sustained relationships between Tren de Aragua, Venezuelan and Cuban intelligence services, and high-level narcoterrorist operations.

In just two years, the zealots at Just Stop Oil won their fight to stop new oil and gas drilling in the UK. Admittedly, they had a head start on achieving that goal due to decades of propaganda doing their work, but the group is rightly proud of their role in stopping new oil and gas production. They made the final push, and the final push was apparently enough.

British Steel has announced plans to close its two blast furnaces in Scunthorpe, making Britain the only G7 country unable to manufacture its own steel.

Jingye, the Chinese steel group that owns the plant, blamed Donald Trump as it announced plans to shut key operations, putting up to 2,700 jobs at risk. It said the “imposition of tariffs” had made the blast furnaces and steel making operations “no longer financially sustainable”. The closures signal the end of steel production in the UK after more than 150 years.

Question: If China owns the plant, was the UK really making its own steel?

Jingye is lying. I was reading about the UK’s plans to close their last blast furnaces a couple of years ago and move to electric furnaces (in which they can only recycle steel, not produce new steel). This has nothing to do with the Trump administration and everything to do with the UK delusion they can move entirely to “sustainable green energy” sources for their needs.

Two air traffic controllers traded punches when a shocking fight erupted inside the tower at Ronald Reagan National Airport, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal.

The facility is already under massive scrutiny following January’s deadly midair collision between an American Airlines flight on final approach and an Army helicopter.

And trouble flared again Thursday when a pair of on-duty tower controllers got into a blazing argument before one threw a punch at the other, a source tells us.

By the time the brawling colleagues were separated, there was blood spattered over a control console, according to our insider.

The tower would likely have had a supervisor and at least six or seven controllers directing air traffic at the time.

The Federal Aviation Administration said it is investigating the shocking incident.

‘I’ve heard of controllers going at it in the parking lot but this was on a whole new level,’ the source told DailyMail.com.

‘That facility is out of control. People are cracking because of what happened in January.’

    FWIW

If you still believe that Russia started this conflict in 2022, then you are either corrupt, ignorant, or brainwashed.

If you don’t know who Victoria Nuland is, or what she was doing in Ukraine in 2014, then you have no idea what’s going on.

The Deep State started this war. It was the Obama CIA/State Dept that funded Nazi militant groups to start a civil war in Ukraine, and initiated regime change to a CIA/State Dept puppet, Yatseniuk.

This was all revealed in the leaked phone call between State Dept diplomats and Deep State agents, Victoria Nuland and Geoffrey Pyatt (link in next post).

After the Maidan coup in February 2014, the US CIA/State Dept owned Ukraine via proxy, and the CIA began using Ukraine as a giant offshore playground for criminal racketeering and money laundering. Ukraine became one giant CIA base, directly on Russia’s border.

Then the US/NATO began building up Ukraine’s army for the sole purpose of one day fighting Russia. The US/NATO began supplying Ukraine with weapons, equipment, missiles, training, intelligence, etc.

Covert elements within the US government, along with their European partners in NATO, used espionage to overthrow and take control of the nation of Ukraine, then built a massive standing army on Russia’s border, then tried to bring Ukraine into NATO, and thus start WW3.

If you are still buying the official MSM narrative about this conflict, you should not be engaged in conversations.

Everything the MSM told you about Ukraine/Russia has been a lie, and in many cases, the inverse of the truth.

    Tom Cotton? Srsly?

Adding more insult to injury, not only did
    @SenTomCotton
    Tom Cotton hire Trump hater
    @BillKristol
    ’s son
    @JoeKristol
to be his legislative director during the first Trump admin, but guess where Joe is now currently working, while his father, a huge Trump hater, is making a public push for Tom Cotton to replace
    @PeteHegseth
    as DOD Secretary?

Joe Kristol works for Elliott Investment Management LP.

Elliott Investment Management was founded by notorious billionaire Trump hater Paul Singer, who is the current President of EIM, out of Palm Beach, Florida.

Paul Singer is the same billionaire who funded Fusion GPS in 2015 to piece together the infamous Steele Dossier, which was used in the Russia Collusion Hoax to undermine and stage a coup against President Trump.

According to FEC records I found, Paul Singer has donated to Tom Cotton.

Tom Cotton hired Joe Kristol. Tom Cotton hired Alex Wong. Tom Cotton referred Alex Wong to work at NSC under
    @MikeWaltz47
    .

It appears that Tom Cotton has maintained close relationship with the Kristol family.

Things get really interesting when you look at all of these incestuous connections.

    worser and worser

Many people are wondering why there are calls to fire
    @PeteHegseth
    but no calls to fire
    @MikeWaltz47
    .

There is an active OPP taking place, and it involves Chinese Alex Wong and Senator Tom Cotton, who has been plotting to take
    @PeteHegseth
    ’s job.

Tom Cotton has been gunning for a role in the Trump admin for a long time and if you recall, the mainstream media ran an entire shadow influence campaign to pitch Cotton as DOD Secretary before the 2024 election.

Alex Wong is not only Mike Waltz’s Deputy National Security Advisor, but he also served as the Foreign policy advisor for Tom Cotton from 2015-2017.

It was Tom Cotton who referred Wong to Waltz.

Tom Cotton knows he’s getting primaried, so he wants to be the DOD Secretary after being passed over for the job. He was initially rumored to be a top contender to be CIA Director or DOD Secretary.

Cotton is so thirsty to be DOD Secretary, even though he said he wasn’t, and now, it appears that he is even having Never Trumpers like
    @BillKristol
    do his bidding for him.

Did you know that Bill Kristol’s son Joseph Kristol
    @JoeKristol
    was appointed as Tom Cotton’s
    @SenTomCotton
legislative Director during the first Trump admin?

    @BillKristol
    tweeted that
    @SecDef
Hegseth would be Fired by President Trump by today, and then he floated Cotton to be Hegseth’s replacement.

Alex Wong was on the Signal chat, he is Mike Waltz’s deputy and he was sent to Waltz by Cotton.

    This all appears very coordinated.

Ask yourself why Tom Cotton would hire the son of one of the most anti-Trump individuals to be his LEGISLATIVE DIRECTOR and why he referred his Chinese foreign policy advisor to go work for the NSC?

I hope Hegseth has his head on a swivel.

It is a recent attempt to save the planet. Which is one I actually agree with.

Remember the old days when a phone came with a charger and a cord? And people upgraded their phone every year and got a new phone, a charger and a cord. We ended up with a drawer full of chargers.

Cords come in 4 packs from Amazon and Walmart etc. About $10 for four, or six LOL

You just need to know if your phone uses Micro USB ( that is an itty bitty plug that goes in only one way )

Or a USB-C which is an itty bitty plug that does not give a shit which way you stick it in.

Or the soon to be banished to eternity is iPhone one, which looks like a spade with stripes on it.

However, the cords come in different qualities. I found that the cheap iPhone ones loose their gold plating on the contacts after about six months.

I has an iPhone, a micro USB Android and a USB-C Android phone.

LOL Natasha’s tablet is USB-C and so are my headphones.

    @ Possum:
Another thing, I feel that USB-C is far superior to the Apple iPhone connection system.

Why? The springy connector part on an iPhone cord is actually in the device. When the springs on the connection port wear out it is an expensive repair.

The spring part of the connector on a Micro USB or a USB-C appears to be in the cord, the cheap and easily and cheaply replaced part.

French far-right leader Marine Le Pen barred from seeking office for 5 years, a political earthquake

A French court on Monday convicted Marine Le Pen of embezzlement and barred her from seeking public office for five years — a hammer blow to the far-right leader’s presidential hopes and an earthquake for French politics.

Le Pen’s lawyer said she would appeal the verdict — but she will remain ineligible while she does and so could be ruled out of the 2027 presidential race. She was also sentenced to four years, with two to be served under house arrest and two suspended.

The court ruling was a political as well as a judicial temblor for France, hobbling one of the leading contenders to succeed President Emmanuel Macron at the end of his second and final term. So broad were the political implications that even some of Le Pen’s opponents reacted by saying that the Paris court had gone too far.

Le Pen herself wasn’t around to hear the chief judge pronounce the sentence that threw her career into a tailspin. By then, she’d already strode out of the courtroom, when the judge first indicated that the 56-year-old would be barred from office, without saying straight away for how long.

Although Le Pen didn’t immediately comment, her supporters quickly expressed disapproval. Jordan Bardella, her 29-year-old protégé who could replace her on the ballot in 2027 if she can’t run, said on X that Le Pen “is being unjustly condemned” and that French democracy “is being executed.”

DOGE: Once the DOGE team breached the fortress of taxpayer-funded tranquility known as the U.S. Institute of Peace, the accounting firm overseeing its books promptly deleted over a terabyte of financial data—an act as subtle as a burglar torching the crime scene. Fortunately, Big Balls intervened, recovering the lost data and exposing a veritable orgy of fraud, waste, and abuse, including the agency’s peculiar addiction to private jet travel, all in the noble name of “peace.”

Intimate facts about my body. Please scroll past this if you are squeamish.

My weight varies from day to day, sometimes by a couple of pounds. Stop laughing Bunk. I try to weigh myself at the same stage every day, I keep irregular hours. Sometimes I sleep 6 hours then am awake 24. Sometimes do the bed thing for 14hrs or more.

I knew that the longer I stay in bed, with pee breaks, the less I weigh. Due to excess fluid draining from my legs. Makes sense, my waking hours are mostly sedentary watching TV shows and movies and posting here and reading things on X.

I was not logging hours in bed per 24 hours on my spreadsheet, but I will. Spreadsheet is midnight to midnight. As an example this 24hr period is 240 calories so far. In two hours. Box Cabernet, one coffee mug. But I digress.

Taking a look at March data, and I have not charted it because I did not weigh myself every 24hr period and I did not log the laying flat in bed times. BUT!

I log my daily nutritional intake, and because it is featured on the nutritional labels it was a column.

Anyway, my Possumy eyes and tiny brain when looking over the daily data for the last four months suggested that on higher sodium intake days I weigh more.

So I asked Grok, I paid for it! and it told me what I knew.

High sodium intake itself doesn’t directly increase body weight in terms of fat or muscle gain. However, it can lead to temporary weight increases due to water retention. Sodium causes your body to hold onto extra water to maintain fluid balance, which can show up as a higher number on the scale—often a pound or two, depending on how much sodium you’ve consumed and your body’s sensitivity. This isn’t “true” weight gain (like fat) but rather a fluctuation that typically resolves as your body regulates itself, especially if you drink more water or cut back on sodium.

Anyway, back to Hawai’i Five-O binge watching.

    @ eaglesoars:
AKA the Kennedy assassination plotting from 60 years ago. The recent ‘Atlantic publication that ‘ahem … “accidentally got their hands on an encrypted Signals Chat communications between Trump Cabinet members officials has the ‘stink’ of CIA Vault 7 written all over it.

In parallel ,apparently NBC has been sitting on a never before seen ‘video’ (film) that shows Oswald NOT in the historical sniper location in the Repository Building, but shows Oswald at street level on the roadway level in crowd film, at the SAME time the assassination happened. Oswald was very close to the Kennedy vehicle in the crowd when the assassination went down. The window below the floor where the supposed sniper floor site, and where the second upper window where a second sniper was claimed to be stationed was opened. The ‘grassy knoll ‘ guy although armed took no active part in the assassination as was reported by the alleged co-ordinator in’ a death bed’ tell all confession. The shooter was a professional, probably CIA or a contractor killer from the Chicago Mafia hired by the CIA. Jack Ruby who was cancer ridden was there to clean up after the fact by murdering Oswald , who himself was a CIA contractor all along was was seen by the CIA as the weak link in the CIA / Chicago Mafia chain. The CIA was seen as the agency who threw the Cuban assault team under the bus, when the coup in Cuba started to go wrong. This seems to tie into the multiple attempts to kill Castro, by nefarious CIA ‘hits’ that all ended in failure.

In a death bed ‘tell all’ , the ‘man on the Grassy Knoll’ was the CIA liaison officer, who was calling the shots and attending officer for the ‘timing for the ‘hit” on Kennedy, probably by a professional shooting from the corner window a floor below the classical Oswald sniper site in the Repository Building. Oswald was contracting to the CIA, but had neither the skill set to take the shot responsibility, nor the timing for the shot. Why Oswald was outside at the time when the assassination went down, and now is shown in the NBC footage, is anybody’s guess? Perhaps Oswald realised that he was being set up as the ‘patsy’ and baled out and ensured that he had a waterproof alibi. Alas for Oswald, NBC covered the CIA tracks for 60 + years. Ruby was the ‘cleaner’ who covered the CIA SNAFUs and himself died soon after of cancer. Tying up the last CIA incriminating threads. The person who ordered the Kennedy ‘hit’ was never discovered. Perhaps it was an internal CIA mandated ‘hit’, although there are a host of powerful people in the Kennedy Administration with reasons to see Kennedy dead. VP Johnson himself included!

Also. Why was the Warren Commission not read into the NBC filmed evidence of Oswald seen in a ground level scene from NBC evidence? This is classic CIA Vault 7 evidence written all over it.

The Media / CIA were at their nefarious best in covering up their cock-ups, by killing the patsy and allowing time to help cover their tracks.

Shall we now talk about the Butler attempted assassination of Trump or will we have to wait 60+ years again, until the plotters are in their graves?

To keep things simple even the allies who have virtual zero Tariff regimes with their US trading partners will get roped into a holistic Tariff regime for the sake of uniformity. There are tariffs and then there are Tariffs as well. Government utilities placement can be classified as subsidies and are then subject to tariff enforcement. The US is down to their uppers in subsidies like this as well and you have to know where to draw the line. Investment in utilities by government can also provide for local utility support and development, as well as classification as subsidy support and therefore vulnerable to tariffs. The US provision go government to general Utility strengthening muddies the field somewhat.

Providing a hydro power station to Kiwi Southland cities as well as powering a US owned aluminium producer (Alcoa) is a case in point. Alcoa takes 80% of the power from this Hydro power station at knock down bulk prices whilst also powering most of Southland and Otago’s smaller cities. Where do you draw the line, especially when a US Owned aluminium manufacturer is profiting from cheap bulk power ? NZ is in debit to the US in trade metrics but will somehow suffer from US tariffs and add insult to injury as Alcoa is a US registered company. NZ is virtually tariff free and has been internationally for the past 30 + years. Same with Australian meat supplying into the US market. The US meat producers are a VERY strong lobby, against Australian meat, entering into the US market. US meat is ‘manufactured’ rubbish protein full of chemicals and pharmaschuticals whereas Australian beef is lean grass fed open country grazed premium meat. US meat can’t pass the health requirements to enter the US / Australian trading market. Yet the Trump tariffs crush the free market and support a low grade meat market that supports a low grade trading market. BOTH Australia and NZ spend vast treasure and time negotiation EU meat regulations set in place to suppress the free range grass fed healthy meat trade 40 years ago. BOTH Australian and Kiwi slaughter Houses are light years ahead of US slaughter houses and have a huge advantage for premium meat production. Yet the Trumpian tariffs. crush the tradable meat market between grass fed open country healthy markets, and support crappy rubbish US slaughter houses, even when the US still imposes tariffs on Australian meat markets when there is a so called US / Australian FREE TRADE AGREEMENT in place. Two tier tradable INDEED! So much for equitable trading rules when it supports the US rubbish meat producers.

Maybe HHS and Kennedy san help Americans NOT be forced to eat rubbish manipulated chemical and Big pharma loaded meat, that destroys the health of American consumers. Same goes for aluminium, coal and iron ore trade. Allies … REALLY?

The ongoing Uke war situation is interesting.
However, I think a more important issue is being played out right now, based around US Air Force movements to Diego Garcia.
3 B2’s recently staged through the Tindal in the Northern Territory, on their way to Garcia, along with 4 X C130’s and 10 KC 135 tankers. (1of the 4 B2’s turned back to the US for a mechanical issue).
There is speculation that there is now 7 B2’s at Garcia….out of a total of 20 in existence.
The suggestion is that the US is getting ready for a hit on Iran.

Tomatoes, I like tomatoes but store bought tomatoes are not the same as home grown tomatoes. So I invested in $3 or so in cherry tomato seeds. I have dirt in stock from when I was growing oat grass for the kittens several years ago.

Anyway, tomato seeds germinated in record time, two days! However since they germinated it has been dull and overcast here for days and the little seedlings got leggy.

There are two definitions of leggy. One is describing Sports Illustrated swimsuit models and Victoria’s secrets runway models from the 1990’s.

The other definition of leggy is seedlings that do not get enough light.

I am now the owner of $25 of grow lights.

    The seedlings are smiling….

Toasted two slices of bread then buttered them lightly. No ham, bacon etc involved.

Jut fried egg on toast. Absolutely zero difference in taste.

The Eggland egg had a slightly deeper yellow color and it may have had more vitamins and omega things than the control egg. But no more vitamins than a ” one a day ” supplement cannot fix.

In conclusion, I was hoping for an egg that tasted more eggy.

If that is your goal, trust me, the expensive eggs taste the same as the cheap ones.

    Another clue.

This country exports about $24 million of products to the USA per year but only imports about $250,000 from the USA.

Trade balance Trump is yelling! Unfair! They should buy more American products!

The country in question imports refined petroleum, diesel and gasoline. And pre-fabricated buildings.

I am sure that the country would buy more American goods if the suppliers offered free shipping.

    A fair trade agreement!

Also, the country in question does not charge import duty, aka tariffs on any imports except tobacco and alcohol.

Whoopi Goldberg is suddenly super concerned about free speech.

The batty co-host of “The View” said nothing as conservatives were silenced in Hollywood … the Twitter Files erased right-leaning voices – scientists got punished during the COVID-19 outbreak … the Biden administration attempted to set up a Ministry of Speech (and we could go on).

‘If I talk about Donald J. Trump, I may be one of those returning to America who is barred or put in jail to sleep on a cement floor with an aluminum blanket.’

Now, she thinks President Donald Trump is attacking speech. And she’s hella angry and, apparently, confused.

What I really want, what I want more than anything, is I want them to stop fooling around with my right to say what I feel … I don’t like being threatened. I don’t like being — I don’t like people running up on me. You don’t like what I say. This is America. I grew up here, and the one thing I always knew is I had freedom of speech, and every time, every time somebody says, “You know, I don’t like what they said, so I’m shutting down PBS.”
Because removing public funding from PBS is akin to squashing speech.

It’s exhausting to cite Goldberg’s brain drain, but we’ll never tire of pointing out her hypocrisy …

Strike two and you are out!

As nobody else wants to play, the country is the Falklands. Which is not a totally independent country but is a self governing island in the South Atlantic under the protectorate of the UK.
If anyone is interested the CIA says this. https://www.cia.gov/the-world-factbook/countries/falkland-islands-islas-malvinas/

Basically the 3600 people there turn fuel oil, diesel and gasoline into fish, squid, wool and reindeer meat. That is the economy.

Interestingly it often snows there in every month except January and February.

Main export of product to the USA is $24 million per year of Chilean Sea Bass, a slow growing fish which lives in cold Antarctic waters and is quite nice.

Because the Falklands only import about $250,000 per year from the USA they got hit with a 42% reciprocal trade tariff on top of the 10% blanket tariff on all countries world wide. So in Walmart Falklands caught sea bass will cost you 52% more.

No problem , if that fish is as tasty as I say then people will still buy it!

  175. Possum
    179 | April 6, 2025 4:59 am

    @ Possum:
And this is where it gets interesting. Trump tariffs affect other countries economies way outside of protecting American industry. Sea bass is a great example.

How many Chilean Sea Bass factories are there in the USA? ZERO It HAS to be imported.

So what, tariffs are a tax. We pay more for our yummy fish.

Problem is that delicacy can come from three places. Chile, Argentina and Falklands.

Hypothetically last week at Walmart in the fish section there was sea bass. $10 per pound, and three different packages. One marked from Chile, one marked Argentina, and one from Falklands.

Next week due to the global 10% tariff on imports the fish will be….

    From Chile $11
    From Argentina $11
    From Falklands $15.20

So, I ain’t stupid, not buying Falkland fish!

Big deal, the Falklands no longer can sell the $24 million of fish they were selling to the USA.

That $24 million is 8% of their GDP.

By instituting different tariffs for the same product ( a sea bass ) on countries the USA has altered world trade and economies. A domino effect.

Microwaving scrambly eggs. They stick to the dish you are scrambying them in. Even when doing the 30 seconds, stir, 30 seconds, stir thing.

OK, and now I am going to get yelled at. Do not microwave scrambled eggs, do them on the stove in a pan.

    Whatever….

Anyway, if you ever buy a microwave meal or a side such as fettuccini alfredo don’t throw away the plastic container. Wash it and use it for microwave eggs. They don’t stick and the eggs cook faster because the microwave is not heating up a bowl. just the eggs.

    Guess what breakfast is. LOL

Any sensible person would think so, but no.

Some intern fresh out of college with a degree in spread sheets was tasked to formulate these tariffs.

Falklands got nailed because they export much more to the USA than they import from the USA on paper. A trade imbalance.

Most of the Falkland’s exports go to Spain, where they have to pay 18% tariff as it is a gateway into the EU.

Most of the imports to the Falkland’s comes from the UK. Reason? They load up a ship a few times per year and it sails 8000 miles. Kind of bulking up all they need from all over the world and putting it on one big delivery boat instead of hundreds of separate deliveries.

Now you could possibly make a bet and win that some of the goods shipped from the UK to the Falklands actually originated in the USA.

The spreadsheet intern is basing the data on DIRECT USA to Falklands trade.

SOUND ON. You’re hearing the first howl of a dire wolf in over 10,000 years. Meet Romulus and Remus—the world’s first de-extinct animals, born on October 1, 2024.

The dire wolf has been extinct for over 10,000 years. These two wolves were brought back from extinction using genetic edits derived from a complete dire wolf genome, meticulously reconstructed by Colossal from ancient DNA found in fossils dating back 11,500 and 72,000 years. This moment marks not only a milestone for us as a company but also a leap forward for science, conservation, and humanity. From the beginning, our goal has been clear: “To revolutionize history and be the first company to use CRISPR technology successfully in the de-extinction of previously lost species.” By achieving this, we continue to push forward our broader mission on—accepting humanity’s duty to restore Earth to a healthier state.

But this isn’t just our moment—it’s one for science, our planet, and humankind. All of which we love and are passionate about. Now, close your eyes and listen to that howl once more. Think about what this means for all of us.

Rumble & Rebel News File Lawsuit Against the Canadian Government

The lawsuit alleges that the defendants unsuccessfully tried to block two events, one of them being our Rumble Live event where @DonaldJTrumpJr was a keynote speaker.

    https://x.com/rumblevideo/status/1909342210237022214

Rumble Canada, (NASDAQ: RUM), the high-growth video platform and cloud services provider, has joined Rebel News Network and its founder, Ezra Levant, in suing the government of Canada, Member of Canadian Parliament Ya’ara Saks, and other officials, for conspiring to deprive them of their constitutional right to free expression. The lawsuit, filed today in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, alleges that the defendants unsuccessfully tried to block two lawful and peaceful public gatherings celebrating free speech in the Toronto area last year simply because they disagreed with the political points of view of the organizers and participants. The suit alleges that the officials tried to thwart the events, which included Donald J. Trump Jr. as a featured speaker, by imposing unreasonably high charges for security measures that were not needed and designed only to prevent the events from taking place. The plaintiffs are seeking reimbursement in the amount of $37,177.80 for the excessive security costs, $250,000 in punitive damages, and legal expenses, and have requested a trial in Toronto.

    This ‘win’ is temporary

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday backed the Trump administration’s efforts to continue deporting what it says are Venezuelan gang members. In an unsigned order, the court’s conservatives threw out a lower court order that prevented the administration from continuing its deportations under the controversial Alien Enemies Act of 1798.

    BUT

The order finds that the men challenging removals under the Alien Enemies Act should have contested their arrests in the districts they were detained through individual habeas petitions. A habeas corpus petition is filed to individually challenge the legality of a person’s detention.

The initial lawsuit challenging the order, from the American Civil Liberties Union and Democracy Forward, instead sought to block removals of all Venezuelans who may have been affected by the Alien Enemies Act.

However this is going to be interesting. Quarter a pack of compressed potting mix is currently in the bath tub, in a large and clean cat shit box mixed with warm water. It expands at an alarming rate.

No taking Mr Happy for a swim today and hoping the cats do not discover it.

Too much nitrogen at an early stage of seedling tomato plant growth will kill them.

Cats eat loads of protein and their urine is rich in excreted nitrogen. Cat piss is great for mature tomato plants but not seedlings.

The amount of pissing Glen does I should have an awesome crop of tomatoes in my tiny second floor apartment with grow lights.

I really love these adverts that happen every 15 minutes when I am watching streaming things on Paramount+ ( free because I get groceries at Walmart ) and Peacock.

There is one for a drug that helps with dry and itchy skin and shows people doing outdoor stuff and smiling.

And during the advert they tell you the side effects at the bottom of the screen in text and at the end by a voice over really fast.

Cure for dry and flaky skin. Sign me up!

    Side effects of treatment.

    body aches or pain
    chills
    cough
    ear congestion
    fever
    headache
itching, pain, redness, swelling, tenderness, warmth on the skin
    loss of voice
    runny or stuffy nose
    sneezing
    sore throat
    unusual tiredness or weakness
    Less common side effects
    black, tarry stools
burning or stinging of the skin
    chest tightness
    difficulty swallowing
    dizziness
    fast heartbeat
    hives, itching, skin rash
large, hive-like swelling on the face, eyelids, lips, tongue, throat, hands, legs, feet, or sex organs
    lower back or side pain
painful blisters on the trunk of the body
painful cold sores or blisters on the lips, nose, eyes, or genitals
    painful or difficult urination
    pale skin
puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue

I’m not sure this applies across the entire spectrum (e.g., a Warthog gunner)
but I can tell you it’s the same in the corporate world – mostly

OK, I’m going to say it, consequences be damned, but the relief of that female NATO admiral compels me to say what I am about to say.

The problem with women in the military is not just that most of them are not physically able to perform in physically demanding MOSs.

    Here it is:

The bigger problem is that as we see more and more women at very high ranks (three- and four-star generals and admirals), we see our military becoming more and more feminized.

While modern feminists will deny it, the simple fact is that the brains of men and women are wired differently. Men tend to think more aggressively, with less regard for emotion and a tendency to make decisions quickly and without needing to get buy-in from everyone affected by the decision. Women, OTOH, tend to be less aggressive, rely more on emotion and giving weight to the emotions of others, and they seek cooperative solutions in a group which everyone can agree on.

In a purely cultural sense, men are not better than women, and women are not better than men. In fact, for a civilization to succeed, the mental tendencies of both men and women are entirely necessary, as they balance each other out in a positive way. It’s how God made us—we complement each other.

But warfighting is different. Successful warfighting leadership (i) involves quick and effective decision making, (ii) requires ruthless aggression, (iii) demands a wartime disregard for emotions that are incompatible with killing the enemy, and (iv) leaves no room for “consensus building” when the enemy is hurling himself at your perimeter.

Bottom line: the mental framework of women is incompatible with warfighting. Yes, we have had women across the force for decades now, but formerly only in support roles. Like men, most have served bravely. However, it is only fairly recently that we have installed women at the top of warfighting formations like infantry divisions, combat naval ships and groups, and national-level combatant commands. As a result, the female approach to problem solving has permeated our once ruthlessly effective warfighting units.

OUR MILITARY HAS BECOME FEMINIZED. As a result, our warfighting effectiveness has become dramatically degraded.

Don’t believe me? Consider ANY organization that was once male-only that later installed women at the top, and tell me that organization’s culture did not change dramatically. Go ahead. Tell me. You cannot. (It’s actually worse in the military, as military leaders are taught to adopt the commands of their superiors, and adopting feminization is death to warfighting.)

I have served with MANY brave and effective female soldiers. But they were not commanding combat units.

I am retired from active duty, so I can say all this. I thought it the whole time I served on active duty (and I served in gender-integrated units my entire career), but could never say what I thought out loud unless I wanted to end my career then and there. (And for those of you who will try to criticize me for that, realize I walked away of my own accord as an O-6 after two below-the-zone promotions and a still promising future—I had enough.)

The shame is, any competent male officer on active duty today knows that what I say is true, but they have to keep their mouths shut and superficially embrace the idea of senior female officers deciding how they live or die in a feminized military.

We need to somehow reverse course and get back to the military of Patton, Puller, Halsey, Lemay and Schwarzkopf, and not the military of Vice Admiral Shoshana Chatfield.

BREAKING: The DOJ revealed that Trump assassin Ryan Routh tried to buy military weapons from Ukraine to kill Trump, including a ROCKET LAUNCHER.

Routh asked the Ukrainian Military for a “Stinger or RPG to take out Trump”because Trump would be “Bad for Ukraine”

Routh goes on to say the weapons of war — that are paid for and supplied by the US military — get lost “all the time on the battlefield” and no one would miss them.

Has Ukraine illegally smuggled US weapons to kill other world leaders or State enemies?

Most importantly, the Ukrainian Government KNEW about the Trump assassination in advance!?!? Did they warn anyone? This is absolutely massive.

For those experts in here yes those seedlings are a very pale green. They were started in a seed starting mix with no nutrients. Lacking in Nitrogen mostly.

Today they got fed with plant food at 1/2 the recommended strength. Gently does it.

Currently the seedlings are out on the East facing balcony in diffused sunlight but there is a slight breeze.

At 13:00 they will be moved to the West facing place outside my door, in full sunlight for only a couple of hours. Then back in the shade. In a slight breeze.

Wind and fans are very important when raising plants from seed. The stresses on the stem caused by wind is a key factor in promoting stronger stem growth.

The CO and 1st got bronze a star and 4 others and 4 ARCOMS were handed out… all in the HQ platoon. Some of the awarded soldiers never left Germany.

Japan built a 3D printed train station in 6 hours

    https://archive.is/KI01I

In the six hours between the departure of the night’s last train and the arrival of the morning’s first one, workers in rural Japan built an entirely new train station. It will replace a significantly bigger wooden structure that has served commuters in this remote community for over 75 years.
The new station’s components were 3D-printed elsewhere and assembled on site last month, in what the railway’s operators say is a world first. It may look more like a shelter than a station, but building one the traditional way would have taken more than two months and cost twice as much, according to the West Japan Railway Company.

There’s something deeply satisfying about watching the left’s cherished ideological markers being used against them. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is giving the mainstream media a taste of their own medicine, and it’s absolutely glorious.

In a delicious development, the Trump White House press office is flat-out refusing to respond to reporters who display their pronouns in email signatures.

    Heck, yes. I love it.

This isn’t just some arbitrary policy. It’s a brilliant statement about truth and reality in journalism.

When confronted about this practice, Leavitt delivered a devastating response: “Any reporter who chooses to put their preferred pronouns in their bio clearly does not care about biological reality or truth and therefore cannot be trusted to write an honest story.”
    .
    .
But wait, it gets better: Department of Government Efficiency senior adviser Katie Miller doubled down on the new practice, stating plainly, “As a matter of policy, I don’t respond to people who use pronouns in their signatures, as it shows they ignore scientific realities and therefore ignore facts.”
    .
    .
White House communications director Steven Cheung delivered perhaps the most satisfying response when he told the outlet, “If The New York Times spent the same amount of time actually reporting the truth as they do being obsessed with pronouns, maybe they would be a half-decent publication.”

The other container of seedlings will spend tonight outside then tomorrow they will be transplanted into 4 inch pots, four at a time. 8 pots.

Why the different sized pots you may ask.

The poor root development is my fault. To develop roots you need the soil to dry out between watering to stress the root system.

But as I was using cheap Chinese grow lights the little buggers were being stressed enough.

Yep plants are green because they reflect green light. They absorb blue and red to do the photosynthesis shit.

    EASY!

I asked Grok “what is the best way to fasten 2x4s to the inside of a submarine”

    And Grok knows.

Fastening 2x4s to the inside of a submarine is an unusual scenario, as submarines are typically constructed from steel or other durable materials, and wood isn’t a common structural component due to its susceptibility to water damage and lack of strength compared to metal. However, assuming you’re working on a creative project, a mock-up, or some interior modification where wood is desired (e.g., for paneling, shelving, or a temporary fixture), here’s a practical approach:
The best way to fasten 2x4s inside a submarine would depend on the material of the submarine’s interior surface (likely steel) and the purpose of the 2x4s. Here’s a step-by-step guide for a secure and reliable method:

    Use Metal Brackets or Clamps:
Attach the 2x4s to the submarine’s steel frame or hull using adjustable metal brackets or U-shaped clamps designed for mounting to metal surfaces. These can be welded or bolted to the steel structure if permanent attachment is needed.

    Bolting Through the Steel:
Pre-drill holes through the 2x4s and the steel surface. Use high-strength stainless steel bolts (to resist corrosion in a marine environment) with nuts and washers. Ensure the bolts are tightened securely, and consider adding lock washers to prevent loosening from vibration.

    Adhesives as a Supplement:
For added stability, apply a marine-grade epoxy or construction adhesive (like 3M 5200) between the 2×4 and the steel surface before bolting. This helps with load distribution and reduces movement, though it shouldn’t be the sole method of attachment.

Consider Rivets for a Lighter Option:
If drilling and bolting isn’t feasible, heavy-duty stainless steel rivets could work, provided you have access to a rivet gun and the steel surface isn’t too thick. Pre-drill holes in both the 2×4 and the steel, then secure with rivets.

    Account for Moisture and Pressure:
Treat the 2x4s with a waterproof sealant (like polyurethane or marine varnish) to protect against the humid, potentially wet environment inside a submarine. Use pressure-treated lumber if possible to resist rot.

    Tools and Safety:
You’ll need a drill with metal-cutting bits, a wrench for bolts, and possibly a welder if attaching brackets permanently. Wear protective gear, as submarines have tight spaces and sharp edges.

    🙂 I am bored…..

Tankers sail away from Venezuela empty, partially loaded amid cargo cancellations

HOUSTON, April 11 (Reuters) – A Suezmax tanker chartered by U.S. refiner Valero Energy ( VLO ) to receive Venezuelan crude from Chevron ( CVX ) off the Caribbean island of Aruba has set sail to the U.S. partially loaded as it could not complete its cargo amid cancellations by state company PDVSA, LSEG data showed.

A separate tanker chartered by Chevron ( CVX ) that could not load at Venezuela’s Bajo Grande port departed empty on Friday, according to the shipping data.

Venezuela’s state oil company, PDVSA, has suspended several authorisations it previously granted to US-based Chevron for loading and exporting Venezuelan crude oil.

The move follows US President Donald Trump’s recent imposition of tariffs on Venezuela’s oil buyers, reported Reuters, citing sources.

and here’s the reason I posted the above

    Great News!

Multiple states have introduced legislation addressing the rights of blood recipients, the disclosure of donor vaccination status, and the ability to request directed blood donations.

The states that have proposed such legislation include:

Utah: The Utah House passed a bill requiring healthcare facilities to permit patients to use their own blood or choose specific donors for procedures, except in emergencies. The bill is now under consideration in the Senate.

Texas: Similar legislation is being considered, reflecting a growing interest in patient-directed blood donations.

Iowa and Kentucky: These states have previously introduced comparable bills, though they did not pass.

Tennessee, Illinois, South Dakota, Idaho, South Carolina, and Maryland: In 2025, these states filed bills focusing on direct blood donations and, in some instances, requiring disclosure of donor vaccination status.

Additionally, Rhode Island is considering legislation that would allow patients to use their own blood or that of family members for elective surgeries, aiming to enhance recovery outcomes.

    @ eaglesoars:

Bill Maher reveals Trump was ‘gracious and measured’ at White House meeting, says he’s not the man seen on TV | Joseph A. Wulfsohn, Fox News

‘I never felt I had to walk on eggshells around him,’ Maher told his audience

“Real Time” host Bill Maher revealed details Friday of his meeting last week with President Donald Trump at the White House, saying Trump was more gracious and good-humored than he expected.

“You can hate me for it, but I’m not a liar. Trump was gracious and measured,” Maher said. “And why isn’t that in other settings- I don’t know, and I can’t answer, and it’s not my place to answer. I’m just telling you what I saw, and I wasn’t high.”

Maher mocked those who treated the White House visit like it was “some kind of summit” brokered by their mutual friend Kid Rock, calling them “ridiculous.”

“I have no power. I’m a f—ing comedian, and he’s the most powerful leader in the world!” Maher exclaimed. “I’m not the leader of anything, except maybe a contingent of centrist-minded people who think there’s got to be a better way of running this country than hating each other every minute.”

Maher shared a printout of the insults Trump had leveled at him over the years, which Trump signed with “good humor.”

“And I know as I say that, millions of liberal sphincters just tightened. ‘Oh, my God, Bill, you gonna say something nice about him?’ What I’m gonna do is report exactly what happened,” Maher said, adding he “didn’t go MAGA. And to the president’s credit, there was no pressure to.”

The HBO host expressed his surprise about how Trump laughs, something he said he had never seen him do in public, telling his audience, “He does, including at himself.”

“And it’s not fake. Believe me, as a comedian of 40 years, I know a fake laugh when I hear it,” Maher said.

Maher credited Trump for being “much more self-aware than he lets on in public,” revealing the subject of the 2020 election came up during his tour of the White House and that he “didn’t get mad” how Maher brought up Trump’s rare admission that he had lost.

“Look, I get it. It doesn’t matter who he is at a private dinner with a comedian. It matters who he is on the world stage. I’m just taking as a positive that this person exists. Because everything I’ve ever not liked about him was, I swear to God, absent at least on this night with this guy,” Maher said.

“I’ve had so many conversations with prominent people who are much less connected, people who don’t look you in the eye, people don’t really listen because they just want to get to their next thing… None of that was him, and he mostly steered the conversation to ‘What do you think about this?’ I know, your mind is blown. So is mine.”

Maher said there were several moments where he cracked a joke at Trump’s expense or contradicted him on various topics, but it was “no problem” between the two of them.

“I never felt I had to walk on eggshells around him,” he told his audience. “And honestly, I voted for Clinton and Obama, but I would never feel comfortable talking to them the way I was able to talk with Donald Trump. That’s just how it went down. Make of it what you will. Me? I feel it’s emblematic of why the Democrats are so unpopular these days.”

Maher recalled the “most surreal” part of the entire experience was when he returned home to watch “60 Minutes” and saw a clip of Trump from a podium “ranting” and shouting insults.

“And I’m like, ‘Who’s that guy? What happened to Glinda the Good Witch?'” Maher quipped. “‘And why can’t we get the guy I met to the public guy?’ And I’m not saying it’s our responsibility to do that. It’s not. I’m just reporting exactly what I saw over two-and-a-half hours. I went into the mine, and that’s what’s down there.”

“A crazy person doesn’t live in the White House, a person who plays a crazy person on TV a lot lives there, which I know is f—ed up. It’s just not as f—ed up as I thought it was, and I have no illusions now that I’m back to work at my job, that he might start a new list,” Maher said, holding up the printout of Trump’s insults to him. “Because I don’t have a good feeling and will be critical about a lot of what he’s doing- the trade war and disappearing people, ruling by decree, threatening judges, gutting the government with glee.”

“But I also think he now understands I have a job to do, or at least he did on this night, because he said to me early on that he’d seen our last episode, which was the Friday before this dinner, and he said, ‘I thought maybe you’d be nice, but you hit me really hard.’ I did because I’m not going to pull my punches that presidents get to propose a third term for themselves. He understood that, and without animus, that doesn’t mean he’s not going to try to do it,” he continued.

Maher said he walked away with nothing from the White House except “hats and a very generous amount of time and a willingness to listen and accept me as a possible friend, even though I’m not MAGA, which was the point of the dinner.”

Ireland is being plundered by a small group of Irish families, banks and foreign investors. They are making billions for housing migrants through a network of shadowy offshore companies.

This industry is backed up by an NGO complex that employs 200,000 people and also costs us billions. Its purpose is to dumb us down and convince Irish people that being replaced in our own homeland is normal.

The police and judicial system are also onboard. Enforcing illegitimate laws passed by compromised politicians who serve the EU. Foreigners even get special privileges under Irish law.

What’s happening to Ireland is completely unnatural. Dumping people from African and Islamic countries into an ancient and homogeneous society is the quickest way of causing that society to collapse.

Trust is low, cohesion is gone and people from the 3rd world are walking straight into our country without even so much as medical screening. HIV, typhoid and diphtheria are becoming more common in Ireland.

A lot of Irish will be leaving Ireland. A lot of that cohort will be coming here, legally or not. They will go where they have connections, no matter how distant and that will start with Massachusetts. 2nd tier will be either D.C. or NYC.

Patel/Bondi are just pissing all over this judge

Judge demands ‘daily updates’ on whether Trump admin is complying with court order to return illegally deported man

“I’m asking a very simple question. Where is he?” Xinis asked Justice Department attorneys at a court hearing.

“I do not have that information,” replied Deputy Assistant Attorney General Drew Ensign.

The administration’s stonewalling, which Xinis described as “extremely troubling,” raised the specter that it is defying the order that the judge issued last week and that the Supreme Court largely upheld Thursday.

Xinis, an Obama appointee, said that without any information — or even an acknowledgment that the administration had done anything at all — she could only conclude that the administration had “done nothing to facilitate the return of Mr. Abrego Garcia.”

    @ eaglesoars:

The slave morality is thick there. Most never recognize the guilt shaming that is a massive social control tool utilized by the church and state.
